Ansitz Steinbock is located in the village centre of Villanders in Eisacktal. After the subtle and courageous reconstruction of the time-honoured, castle-like house, 12 exclusive suites await you there, where living pleasure and new luxury are in first place. Historical building elements, modern design and local craftsmanship are perfectly combined.
In addition to design fans and architecture lovers, gourmets will also feel right at home at Ansitz Steinbock. This is ensured by the kitchen brigade around top chef Tomek Kinder, who will take you to extraordinary worlds of taste with no less than three restaurant concepts. Breakfast Royal is included in the overnight stay in the suite, then guests can decide between Fine Dining, Alpine Dinner in the old Stube or on the garden terrace and Stain à la Carte.
As a former court seat and later village inn, the Ansitz Steinbock has always been an integral part of Villanders. Thanks to its location at around 880 metres above sea level above the artists’ town Klausen, guests enjoy the sun, a wonderful view and plenty of nature all around. Capuchin monk Gabriel Pontifeser (1653-1706) came from Villandro, and is one of the most famous members of the clergy from this area. He was personal confessor to Queen Maria Anna of Spain, who donated the Loreto Treasure to Klausen.
