We were particularly impressed by the stunning view and the wide range of massages on offer, which truly catered to everyone. On the downside, we found the spa area rather small and it quickly became crowded. Also, the town itself is quite sleepy, which is a matter of personal taste. Without the voucher, we probably wouldn't have come, as the stay is quite expensive. Nevertheless, it's a lovely hotel for a relaxing getaway with good service and a great selection of massages.

+ We spent New Year's at the Garberhof and were absolutely delighted, especially with the incredibly varied and delicious food. It was outstanding, and the combination of menus was a real highlight of our stay. The service was perfect and incredibly friendly. We have absolutely nothing to complain about, except perhaps the slightly firm mattresses, but that's a matter of personal preference. Therefore, we give it 5 out of 5 stars. We'll be back! :-)

I have one small suggestion for improvement: Firstly, the times for the infusions at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. are a bit too close together, and secondly, 6:15 p.m. is a bit late if, for example, there is a gala dinner on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. A tip for massage appointments: It's best to book your desired massage appointment a few days in advance. Due to extremely high demand, unfortunately, there were no 60-minute appointments available during our three-day stay.

+ We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garberhof. What I would like to highlight right away is the consistently friendly and accommodating staff. We've stayed in numerous hotels, but here we were particularly impressed by everyone involved in the hotel. This created a welcoming atmosphere, and the interactions were always enjoyable. Overall, the hotel met our expectations and can hold its own with other 4/5-star hotels we've visited. Regarding the wellness area, there aren't many saunas, if anyone wants them, but there is an additional "Hamam" area with steam saunas and more. We were also particularly impressed by the natural pool, which not only looks great but also offers a perfect temperature difference from the warm outdoor pool. We had rooms facing the street, which aren't quiet, but with the window closed, you can't hear any noise from outside. ``` Regarding the temperature, you can contact reception, who can adjust the room temperature to cooler or warmer as desired, which worked perfectly. The food was also very delicious and varied. Even as a vegetarian, I was served some delicacies. A highlight, for example, was the Parmesan pasta. The barbecue was also very popular with our group. Breakfast was also very varied; I was very pleased with the various juices and spreads like hummus and avocado cream. The Garberhof poached egg is also highly recommended! The only thing I found disappointing about breakfast is that if you don't have breakfast very early, you don't get a few things. We often arrived around 3:20 or 8:00 to nine, and by then there were usually no pancakes left, or the apple strudel was gone and never came back. I know from other hotels that they restock even more. It's understandable that not everything can be constantly replenished to avoid throwing away too much, but in my experience, something like pancakes always go down well :) The hotel's location is also really great. You have a great view and can do a lot of different things. While you can't go on any major mountain hikes directly from the hotel, a 20-minute drive takes you to many great hikes, some with as much as 1300 meters of elevation gain :) The hotel also offers free mountain bike rentals. So, of course, we had to take advantage of this offer and cycled around Switzerland, as well as to the surrounding villages and explored them, which is also highly recommended! Overall, we would like to thank everyone for the wonderful stay and are already considering whether to return, even though we never stay in the same hotel twice :)

What's more, everything had been translated into French especially for us, and special care was taken with my partner, who is a vegetarian. + The hotel is very clean and beautiful. It has a beautiful, large, heated indoor and outdoor pool, which are connected, and a cold bio pool, which offers superb refreshment in the summer. Outside, there are plenty of loungers with plenty of space between other guests. There are also plenty of loungers inside, although we didn't use them in the summer. I only find the sauna area a bit small, with only two saunas and showers. The staff is extremely friendly and always strives to accommodate all requests. The breakfast is first-class. It has a huge selection of cold cuts (raw ham, bresaola, speck, salami, etc.), freshly squeezed orange juice, and a daily selection of smoothies. They also have homemade sweet spreads and a large selection of delicious honeys. I've never seen such a large selection of bread in a hotel. Dinner, with about six courses, was also very varied and delicious every evening. We had a suite with a whirlpool and sauna on the terrace, which I highly recommend. The room was also very large and clean. I would definitely recommend the hotel!

+ Design, architecture, interior design, and food are top-notch! A beautiful, stylish hotel! The food was consistently excellent! The drinks were also great. Our stay started very well – a bright, open building, a friendly welcome, and a delicious welcome drink on the sunny terrace. The room was also large and quite nice. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. However, there was no storage space in the bathroom (the only drawback in the room itself), and shower gel and shampoo were missing – they had forgotten them. There were also no slippers for the spa area. In a spa hotel, this is standard. They were brought after we asked – but asking shouldn't even be necessary in this price range. One would also expect tea and coffee making facilities in the room at this price point – but there were none. Then we wanted to check out the pool and spa area; after all, we came to the Garberhof to relax – but that's impossible when some guests are playing water polo with children in the pool (that ball shouldn't even be there!), jumping off the edge of the pool, and shouting! This should be prohibited! Every third sentence advertises peace and relaxation, and then this?! Absolutely unacceptable. The rooms are also extremely noisy! Whether it's the TV, a baby crying, or anything else – you hear it all. As nice as it is, it's more of a family hotel than a wellness hotel. Especially in and around the pool, from morning till night, there were children of all ages and their families, equipped as if they were going to the local lake – huge bags with various water toys, inflatables, and so on. This has NOTHING to do with relaxation, doesn't belong in a hotel like this, and completely ruins the experience! For this hefty price and the admittedly appealing presentation, you expect what's advertised: silent luxury! Not a family water park!! For me, this is the biggest reason not to come back! The opening hours of the hammam and spa area could also be longer for a wellness hotel. The hammam is only open from 2 pm to 7 pm – that's not enough. Only two saunas, no whirlpool, no steam room... a bit lacking for a wellness hotel of this class. The loungers in the pool area are beautiful. Attractive and comfortable furniture. There's also a very comfortable "adults only" relaxation room. At least there was some peace and quiet. The entire facility was also always very clean. In the restaurant, you're assigned a table upon arrival, which you keep for your entire stay. Good if you're lucky enough to get a nice spot. Bad if you aren't. We had a total of four meals in the restaurant, and each time I was addressed as "young lady" in a slightly childish tone. ("And what can I get you, young lady?") The "young lady" is almost 42 (which thankfully you wouldn't guess) and a mature woman. Being spoken to like a small child also leaves a slightly unpleasant aftertaste and is by no means a compliment. ... Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful, while others are anything but. In the spa area, it was quite obvious that they were whispering about me when I turned around to leave after asking a question. In the restaurant, the harsh tone among the staff was noticeable on several occasions, both at breakfast and dinner. On multiple occasions, women were reprimanded by others in front of all the guests. Once, the manager felt the buffet wasn't clean enough, and another time, someone had stayed on their break too long... you don't discuss things like that where guests are sitting. The woman with the short brown haircut who was serving in the restaurant in the evening was extremely stressed! She radiated a sense of urgency and anxiety. In conclusion: Unfortunately, not a completely satisfactory experience. A real shame, because the hotel itself and the food are fantastic and highly recommended! Perhaps I'll risk another visit sometime, hoping for a more peaceful atmosphere.

The Pobitzer family is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the wine evening with Mr. Pobitzer is an absolute highlight for me. They always have special themed evenings, so there's always something new and exciting. The hotel boasts stunning architecture, and you can enjoy both active and relaxing holidays. The food is so delicious and presented almost like a work of art on the plate. The kitchen team is also incredibly attentive to dietary restrictions and is dedicated to creating the perfect meal for every guest. The restaurant service team is equally superb; they always manage to put a smile on your face and their wonderful manner makes mealtimes a truly enjoyable experience. The spa area and massages are also well worth a visit (or several!) and should definitely be included in your itinerary. + On the way to Italy or South Tyrol, you usually just drive through the upper Vinschgau Valley. A MyDay voucher (plus my own investment :) ) turned into a fantastic two-day getaway. A wonderful welcome and reception. A truly lovely room with a very charming overall feel. The breakfast buffet was one of the most varied and delicious I've ever had (despite staying in hotels for many years). A very interesting and imaginative dinner with a great selection of accompanying drinks and wines. The focus is on interesting and delicious food, and thankfully not on being overcrowded and stuffed :) A very nice spa area. A pleasant pool for swimming a few laps, an outdoor pool, saunas – enough for several visits (including a great massage service). Bike rentals with fantastic tours and routes up to Lake Reschen or down into the valley. Super friendly and attentive service. My wife and I enjoyed two very relaxing and successful days. + We stayed at the Hotel Garberhof for three nights. The staff was very friendly and extremely competent. They accommodated our special requests and found solutions. Parking is available directly in front of the hotel. The room was superbly furnished and we really enjoyed it. Everything was well thought out and we lacked nothing. However, the wardrobe with the French doors is somewhat inconveniently located in the hallway between the room door and the toilet, so it's difficult to get past when the drawers are open. The balcony was large and provided with chairs, a table, and loungers. The restaurant offered something special every evening, such as a wine tasting or a gala dinner. The dishes are well-balanced, although each course is quite substantial. However, it's possible to skip courses. Special requests or alternative dishes are also offered if you don't find anything on the menu. The elevator in the main building seems to be getting on in years. The doors close very slowly. When it's busy, it struggles. The spa area is beautifully designed with plenty of loungers and relaxation rooms. The indoor pool is very large, but unfortunately lacks any water features. We would have appreciated loungers, massage jets, or a whirlpool. The outdoor pool is lovely, but due to the temperatures, we only admired the natural swimming pond from the outside. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Every single member of staff deserves an award! We were served and cared for with courtesy, warmth, and first-class service every day, at any time, by every member of staff. I have never experienced anything like it, and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. Andrea always gave us excellent advice in the restaurant, and her tip about shopping on Sundays was also very helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We enjoyed numerous treatments in the spa, and each one was pure relaxation. Every touch was perfect, whether it was the pedicure or the massage. Regarding the outdoor facilities, I only have one minor complaint. The lounge chairs outside were missing cushions; they would have been much more comfortable with them. Everything was always clean and tidy. The rooms were superbly equipped and always spotlessly clean. The bed was large and comfortable. Renting the e-bikes was completely straightforward. + We loved our stay. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was top-notch, and the restaurant, with its fantastic menus, wine pairings, and wonderful staff, truly impressed us. Breakfast was also a highlight! The rooms were very clean and freshly and lovingly prepared every day. The spa area offers everything you could wish for! The view of the mountains from the outdoor pool alone provides pure relaxation. Every morning, you receive a program outlining the upcoming activities, the weather forecast, and information about the staff. All the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. The bar also leaves nothing to be desired and is a great place for conversation. Enjoy fresh cocktails from the menu or have them created to your own taste. After the scenic drive over the Fern and Reschen passes, you arrive in the charming little village where the hotel, with its mountain views, beckons. The village offers lovely little shops for browsing, a pharmacy, a supermarket, and a fantastic farm shop and wine store right next door. The mountains are easily accessible, as are the gondolas to the mountain huts. Beautiful hiking trails are also available, some of which are offered by the hotel. Merano can be reached in about 60 minutes by car or public transport. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to our next visit!

There are small but lovely dog-walking areas with a fantastic view of the mountains. During our stay at the Garberhof, everything was just perfect from start to finish! From the beautiful room, to the cleaning and tidying of the room with creative decorating of the duvets and pillows, to the spa area with a hammam scrub and sauna infusion, to the friendly and attentive staff. We would especially like to highlight the dinner. There was a 4- to 5-course menu every evening, and we have rarely experienced anything better in terms of taste. On one or two evenings, there were also special extras, such as a candlelit dinner or wine tasting. + Simply WOW. I've stayed in many great hotels, but the value for money has never been so good. We had a private jacuzzi and sauna on our balcony, with a starry sky and mountain panorama. Pure romance and affordable prices at the same time. The service was excellent across the board, the spa area (especially the hammam!!!!) was beautiful, and we've never experienced such a high-quality breakfast. The ski area was also fantastic. If I had to criticize something, it would be to set the infinity pool a bit warmer (it was really cold outside) and to choose a more original vegetarian main course.

The entire hotel is very modern and super clean! The breakfast is incredibly varied and leaves nothing to be desired. The highlight, however, was the dinner menu every day. We enjoyed the evening menu every day and were full of anticipation for dinner. With so many options, there's something for everyone, and the Garberhof team comes up with something new and special every day. We also really enjoyed our afternoons in the wellness area. The only criticism would be that the wellness treatments were already fully booked. Luckily, we were able to book a massage appointment for our departure day. I would recommend checking out available treatment times before you arrive.

Furthermore, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. You don't see that often. Thanks to the manageable size of the hotel, there's no "density stress" at all. The "Bella Vista" room has all the comforts I could wish for. It doesn't bother me in the slightest that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Due to the elevated location, the nights are usually pleasantly cool. The massage offerings are varied and professionally performed. Yes, there has been a price increase since the remodeling and renovation, but in my opinion, it's justified. Another positive sign is that there are many long-standing employees, which shows me that the hotel is very well managed. The guests are a diverse mix, from families to older guests. It offers everything. This gives a sense of life, something that is definitely lacking in many 5-star hotels. Thank you very much for the wonderful week.

+ A fantastic experience at the Garberhof during our 2024 summer vacation. The location is central, with all the attractions of the Venosta Valley within easy reach, and it's also very close to Switzerland and Austria for interesting excursions. The hotel is absolutely fantastic: modern, spotlessly clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We found the gourmet dinner sublime, with a wide variety of delicious and original dishes. Breakfast was incredibly generous, with a wide selection of sweet, savory, and fruit options, plus the option of ordering hot dishes like fried eggs with speck (they use local eggs...absolutely delicious). The view from the back terrace, where you can have lunch and/or enjoy an aperitif or a digestif/after-dinner coffee, is breathtaking (you can comfortably watch fantastic sunsets), as is the heated pool area that extends from inside the spa building to the front garden, which is also immaculately maintained (with generous lawns, always kept at the perfect height). The refreshing, crystal-clear swimming lake is remarkable and highly appreciated, especially in the summer. The spa is superb, with a truly remarkable hammam. Try it, you won't be disappointed. The spa also offers spacious areas with loungers, deckchairs, and sofas for relaxing, reading a book, or simply sipping a herbal tea (many varieties to choose from). The rooms are modern and clean, spacious, and feature large, comfortable beds. We had a double room, a double bedroom, and a living room with a large L-shaped sofa and a second LCD TV.

A special highlight is the Chalet Suite, where you feel completely undisturbed and secluded, with the meadow, cute sheep, and the vineyards in front. The unobstructed view of the valley and the Ortler Mountains was amazing to us and hadn't even noticed it online before. The staff in the restaurant is very attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and the breakfast buffet has an above-average selection, which I absolutely love! But the absolute best, besides the mega wellness area with (I think 25 m) indoor pool and outdoor pool including whirlpool, is the swimming pond, which is refreshingly cool in summer. If you have a room next to it, you even have your own access directly from the terrace! I would love it if the outdoor pool were open later in the evening, but otherwise, you get everything you need for a perfect South Tyrol vacation here!

The friendly greeting and welcome drink at the beautiful, modern 1981 Bar alone suggest a pleasant stay. The room is spacious and equipped with everything you would expect for this room category. It is also very clean and simply yet modernly furnished. The wellness area also leaves nothing to be desired. Another highlight, however, was the food. The creations not only delighted the eyes, but also our palate. What was served every day was simply fantastic. The absolute best came from the extremely friendly and always cheerful staff. Since Ms. Pobitzer has the Cuban sun in her heart, it's no surprise that the employees are positively influenced. Many thanks to the fantastic team who made our stay an unforgettable experience.

I got a table yesterday. See the picture for the menu. The tartare was a poem – although I don't usually eat veal, and anyone who has ever seen babies just a few weeks old being transported away will probably avoid eating veal again. The aromatic soup made with South Tyrolean speck was an explosion of flavor. I just shouldn't have chosen the halibut: preparing fish until translucent is an art that only specialists can achieve in a full house. The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were also undercooked for my liking. The venison saddle, on the other hand, was a hit with the other guests. All in all, an above-average culinary achievement, especially with such a large number of guests!

However, there are better options with more unusual offerings (poached egg, avocado spreads, etc.). We stayed in the Vinum Suite and felt very comfortable. The sauna area and relaxation rooms are also great. We also liked the hammam. The only drawback, in our opinion, is the registration process. They could consider a digital option here. Especially since the spa reception was sometimes unmanned for 30 minutes, this makes spontaneous visits to the hammam difficult. The fact that there are no towels available and you have to get them through the spa reception is also difficult when it is often unmanned. The same applies to massage/spa services. Other hotels offer direct booking options. All in all, we felt very comfortable and would come back.

+ Granted, I'm not a huge mountain lover, we were fortunate enough to stumble upon this wonderful hotel, which treated us to a wonderful week. Either the location was a lucky find, or the owners were brilliant at finding it. The hotel is easily accessible from the Val Venosta state road, but all the rooms, pools, and restaurant overlook the mountain ranges and a spectacular, sunny, open valley. It's also very close to the ski slopes and lakes of Resia and San Valentino. The hotel has been around forty years but was recently renovated, and it was truly beautifully done, as an engineer I say. The cleanliness throughout the hotel, and especially in the rooms, is top-notch. Luckily, we opted for half-board because the restaurant is also first-rate, and there are all the amenities: gym, pool, massages, and hammam. All this is enhanced by the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism of all the hotel staff (above all: Valentina, Klara, Ioan, Bledi, Regina, Vera, and I take this opportunity to say goodbye to Savino, who wasn't on duty the day of our departure) and the owners, who are there working every day, from morning till night, and that alone is enough for me. If I could give it six stars, I would. I recommend it so much that I'm already booking for this spring, and I'm not much of a mountain fan. A special mention for discovering the Val Venosta: splendid scenery, divine food, and wonderful people. Highly recommended.

After another renovation at the Garberhof, the large bar is now even more comfortable and stylish than it already was. The newly designed spa area also leaves nothing to be desired. I made extensive use of the 20-meter indoor pool every morning before breakfast, as well as the sauna with its evening infusions. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and offers more than enough for every taste. The highlight for us at the Garberhof is always the multi-course evening menus with choices and the extensive wine selection – simply fantastic. We spent three days skiing in glorious weather in the Watles and Schöneben/Haideralm ski areas, which are just a few minutes away. One day we took the train to Merano and spent sunny hours at 14C in the cozy, Mediterranean little town with its lovely cafes and restaurants and diverse shopping opportunities. This was certainly not our last visit to this fantastic hotel with its friendly staff in the Upper Vinschgau.

There is always a suitable option for every taste to spend the time actively (great fitness room, wonderful environment for hikes/walks or bike rides, etc.) or a little more quietly. It has a very nice wellness facility and what we really like is that there are always enough free lying/resting areas at any time of the day. + We were there in May and were more than thrilled with the Garberhof. The hotel is modern yet harmoniously furnished. The spa is a true dream. Very clean, with a great relaxation area and two fantastic saunas with mountain views. The spa area offers free juices and tea. Our junior suite with panoramic views is more than adequately spacious (approx. 40 sq m), so there's plenty of room for our dog. He was warmly welcomed and obviously felt at home :-) What we particularly liked was that he was allowed to join us in the bar area (lobby) and on the outdoor terrace! The breakfast buffet is incredibly varied and there's something for everyone. At dinner, you can choose from several dishes within the four-course menu. If you don't find something suitable, they will try to find a solution and offer an alternative. We were especially pleasantly surprised by the price of the apple strudel. We didn't miss out on anything and had actually expected a higher bill The staff is consistently friendly and, above all, excellently trained! (I'm originally a trained hotel manager myself.) You're always taken care of and treated with absolute friendliness. The cocktails were delicious We were thoroughly impressed with the Garberhof and will definitely return. I will recommend the Garberhof to my clients at the travel agency

+ A very relaxing and intimate atmosphere is evident throughout the hotel. The wellness area, with two saunas and a plunge pool, is still very relaxed even when the hotel is fully booked, so there's no stress. The pool and outdoor area are very spacious, allowing you to stay several meters away from other guests on the loungers. The rooms are modern, quiet, and sufficiently large. When we changed rooms, the hotel took care of our luggage – we didn't have to worry about anything. The breakfast and dinner menu were excellent. The extensive wine list rounded off the package. The waiters anticipated our every wish. Special thanks to Salvino, Karin, Annalena, and Andrea. I've never experienced such attentiveness and smiles from the staff at any hotel before (more than 2,000 business hotel overnight stays in the last 10 years). Due to the positive overall impression and the relaxation/slowing-down atmosphere at the Garberhof, we extended our stay by two days. In a traffic accident involving an Italian-speaking gentleman near the hotel, the hotel staff and the manager, who speak Italian and German, assisted us and provided assistance to our complete satisfaction. The standard room was also well-equipped, clean, and spacious. We were only missing a few small things, such as soap, toothpaste, and a kettle (which you'll also find in simple hotels). The refrigerator was empty and didn't cool well. But these are really just minor things that don't really matter. I would definitely recommend it.

+ High above the Vinschgau Valley, in Malz, lies a beautiful hotel. Nestled in a large park, it also features a small pond. The rooms are comfortable, each with its own balcony or terrace. Two rooms also have a small outdoor sauna on the terrace. A truly exclusive setting, especially in winter. You sleep wonderfully here, in the fresh mountain air. The restaurant serves delicious dishes, all fresh from the region. Regional delicacies. Even at breakfast, those with a window seat can enjoy a view over meadows and fields, all the way to the snow-capped mountains. The hotel offers plenty of comfort, a spacious building, beautifully designed. A combination of old and new, it is wonderfully suited for well-being and enjoyment. The particularly large spa area, the sauna, and the indoor and outdoor pools – it is wonderful here, a place to relax. The hotel offers plenty of variety and many interesting activities, such as a snowshoe hike with an experienced guide, "Kassian," who is extremely knowledgeable and has a lot to explain and tell. We'll be driven a bit up the mountain through the valley in a minibus, and at the end, in Melago, we'll continue on snowshoes, always up the mountain. A true delight in the sun... During the hike, Kassian also incorporates a few minutes for inner reflection. A time of silence so that we can tune into our own rhythm and inner peace. Now, here in the mountains towards Weißeespitze, everything is perceived even more intensely. We pass an alpine pasture, the Melager Alm, where we fortify ourselves after the hike with a delicious soup with bacon dumplings. Of course, there's a piece of buckwheat chocolate cake for dessert. The restaurant offers high-quality regional cuisine with excellent cooking. Up here, the light is particularly intense, and the snow-covered mountains are enchantingly beautiful, especially in March. Back at the hotel, we continue to enjoy the excellent service, making our stay a wonderful, relaxing experience.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, large, and varied. The 5-6 course dinners in the evening were always a delightful surprise. All the staff were very polite and accommodating. The massages were excellent! :) The facilities were clean and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the pillows weren't very comfortable for sleeping. The outdoor pool wasn't as warm as we had hoped. It was a shame that the afternoon snack was only available for a fee. :) Otherwise, it was a very relaxing week. :)

We booked the wellness day package, which included overnight accommodation, breakfast, and dinner, as well as chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco. Dinner consisted of salad, two starters, a main course, and dessert or cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The junior suite was spacious, bright, welcoming, and well-maintained, and the quality of sleep was very good. The breakfast buffet had everything your heart could desire. Because we didn't find the bar seating particularly comfortable for our old bones, we had our nightcap on the terrace. We received very friendly and attentive service everywhere. And the view over the well-kept garden and the beautiful landscape also contributed to our well-being. The fact that our electric car was also being charged while we were there was the icing on the cake and was the original reason we chose the Garberhof. We'd love to come back!

+ At first I was skeptical, but I have to say it's a fantastic hotel. It's large, has lots of rooms, but the management is fantastic, and the host family is there every day. You can tell they put their heart and soul into it. The service is top-notch everywhere (reception, spa, restaurant, bar), always friendly, courteous, and customer-focused. The rooms are always spotlessly cleaned. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired; if something wasn't to my liking—like my filter coffee—I was offered crème fraîche. The spa facilities are magnificent and so large that it was never overrun. Another highlight for me was the fantastic wine list, a selection of South Tyrolean wines that covered everything. We also had half board, with a culinary highlight every evening. It was sensational and truly a spectacle! All in all, it was perfect; that's what holidays should be like! A big thank you to everyone for this amazing stay!

The extras we booked in advance: softer pillows, the right-sized bathrobes, massages, a couple's bath, and a surprise bouquet of flowers for my sweetheart were perfectly prepared. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired – you can order scrambled eggs, fried eggs, etc. directly at your table. Great emphasis is placed on regional products. Dinner was sensationally good – the cooking times, presentation, and selection were outstanding. With the fantastic menu selection, we could hardly decide what to order. The staff at reception, in the restaurant, and in the wellness area were very accommodating, attentive, and very friendly. Their friendliness doesn't seem fake. The host family is also always present and very friendly and accommodating. The head and neck massage from Mathias and the Cleopatra bath for couples were very relaxing. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We are truly impressed, and our days there will certainly remain wonderful memories. The breakfast and salads invite you to try everything, the food preparation is always a delicious surprise, and the desserts are a bonus. It's amazing what the kitchen conjures up here. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and park ensure a relaxing end to a strenuous day of hiking... Travel recommendation: not via East Tyrol, but via the Brenner Pass or the Reschen Pass! Italian roads, or rather the traffic there, are simply impossible compared to Austrian conditions. I'm only now beginning to appreciate what a great road network we have here in Austria. And: the food in hotels like the Garberhof is always inspiring to take home. Since we have a large garden, we live in a paradise full of natural and organic foods. We were particularly impressed by the salad selection this time, including celery, apple, and cheese salad, among others. These unusual combinations have inspired us to come up with new ideas for our home.

+ Before I begin sharing my experiences here, I'd like to mention that I haven't received any compensation or anything similar for this review! I stumbled upon this lovely resort by chance while searching for a beautiful wellness hotel in South Tyrol. So, I immediately booked a week with half board for my girlfriend and me, and we were excited. Upon entering the hotel, you're immediately struck by the truly beautiful, stylish, yet traditional ambiance. Throughout our entire stay, we experienced first-class service, both at the evening menu and in the wellness and hammam areas. The newly added wellness area, in particular, is a wonderful place to relax, and the panorama you can enjoy while unwinding is indescribable. I particularly noticed that you could wander around the entire resort almost undisturbed, even though the hotel was fully booked. Ultimately, I can only say that these 7 days completely exceeded my expectations. Both the staff and the hotel management themselves exude a level of professionalism and humanity I've rarely experienced! I can and will highly recommend this hotel and hope my next visit won't be long in coming. Many thanks to the hotel and the Pobitzer family for this wonderful week.

+ "Only" 4 stars because I didn't see the rooms. We were here for dinner. We've enjoyed coming here for many years. After the recent renovation/remodel, it's now even more airy, with lots of light. Wonderful on the terrace as well as in the fantastic dining room A huge compliment to the Pobitzer family. And perhaps only 4 stars because the shepherd's macaroni is no longer on the menu.

+ A very nice hotel in South Tyrol near the border with Austria. The journey from Germany is a bit tough because you can only use the Fernpass road through Austria and Italy. It is very quiet, Mals is a tranquil little town. Merano is about an hour's drive away. Parking spaces are free. Hikes and e-bike tours can be wonderfully started here. The staff is hospitable. The food tastes good. The evening menu offers several variations. Only once were we a little disappointed in terms of quality. The rooms are spacious and clean. The wellness area is very nice. The meadow behind the house invites you to relax. We'd love to come back.

The entire hotel is very clean, very "clean" in terms of design (in some places with a tendency to be "too simple") but overall very appealing. The food was excellent in all respects and the service was extremely courteous and always friendly. The wellness hotel is newly renovated and offers everything your heart desires: Finnish sauna, organic sauna, spacious (indoor and outdoor) pool, a wide range of wellness treatments (massages etc.) and a very nice hammam. We really enjoyed our days here and were certainly not here for the last time.

The in-house hammam is highly recommended, but at almost 40 Swiss francs, it's quite expensive. Location: Very central, well-suited for excursions and close to several ski lifts. Free parking in front of the hotel. Food: Highly recommended. Breakfast with plenty of homemade items (bread, jams, apple juice, etc.), a wide selection of cheeses, muesli, etc. There's something for everyone! Homemade scrambled eggs and coffee specialties are also available. In the evening, there's a high-quality 5-course menu. Meat, fish, or game, as well as a vegetarian option, are available. Staff & Other: Very friendly! They are available to offer advice on excursions and are generally very helpful. The hotel also organizes free activities such as snowshoe hikes, etc. Wellness: Small but nice wellness area with 3 saunas and a relaxation room. For an additional charge, you can use the hammam. We felt very comfortable here and would love to come back!

In brief: 1a = Room (modern, spacious, clean) 1a = Wellness area (most exclusive hammam we've ever visited) 1a = Service (friendly & competent) 1a = Food (they cook here at Michelin-star level) 1a = Location (fantastic view of the surrounding mountains) Value for money: In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. It's definitely not more expensive than in Germany. Conclusion: This hotel delivers what others only promise. We'll be back!!
