The Alpin Spa Hotel Die Post underwent a complete renovation of its wellness area in 2025 and now boasts a fantastic and very attractive spa. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are very modern and spacious. The rooms have a rustic yet stylish feel. The food is excellent. The only slight drawback is that the service staff are still somewhat inexperienced and not quite up to the "usual" South Tyrolean standard. However, the reception staff were very helpful and responsive! All in all, a great wellness hotel. The Sulden ski region is relatively small, but its glacier area makes it very appealing. The Ortler region is also ideal for ski touring. South Tyrol at its best!

Upon arrival, it is clear to you that Post am Ortler is not a place to be experienced through layout and facilities, but through feeling. Located above the valley, on the slopes of the Dolomites, it feels like a secluded haven where vacations are not planned, but happen naturally
At almost 1,900 m, Post rises above everyday life, surrounded by forests, lakes and mountain peaks that seem unreal. The bright and warm ambiance with the perfect blend of modern and traditional create a feeling of feeling at home. Delicious food, perfect cocktails and friendly and helpful staff and hosts will make your stay more enjoyable.
It is highly recommended and we can't wait to come back again.

After the reopening, we were able to spend a wonderful and very relaxing weekend here.
The room was inviting, quiet, spacious, and very clean with a magnificent view of the Ortler mountain.
The selection in the restaurant was great; we enjoyed excellent meals, although the meat portions (beef fillet, lamb, etc.) could have been a bit more generous. Stylishly set tables, a relaxed atmosphere, and attentive staff.
The highlight for us was the pool area (we didn't use the spa). The photos, which were added without wide-angle lenses or filters, speak for themselves.
The only downside of the hotel concerns those concerned about data privacy—there are eight cameras installed at the entrance, in the lobby, and in the restaurant alone, as well as two each in the indoor and outdoor pools. Numerous others are scattered throughout the hotel. The notice on a piece of paper at the entrance doesn't comply with regulations. On the positive side, however, they take security very seriously.
A highly recommended hotel for taking a break and relaxing. Fantastic!

We returned today after a short stay in this paradise of nature and winter sports. The recently expanded and renovated hotel is in an excellent location, perfect for relaxing and comfortable mountain experiences. There are still a few details to finish, but everything will surely be perfect soon. We will cherish the room with its fantastic view and silence, and the evenings at the bar, which, thanks to the fantastic bartenders Diana, Arno, and Christian (at the restaurant), provided us with joyful moments and exquisite cocktails! We hope to return soon.

We had the incredible experience of being among first guests at Die Post am Ortler after its reopening on December 22nd, following an extensive 18-month renovation.
We stayed in the stunning Ortler Sky Suite, which exceeded all expectations — beautifully designed, luxurious, and with breathtaking views with integral sauna and Jucazzi . The entire hotel feels brand new, blending modern Alpine style with warm hospitality.
The staff as usual made us feel truly welcome, and the spa, pools, and outdoor areas were absolutely top class. A perfect mix of relaxation and elegance.
Highly recommended — a flawless relaunch of a very special place. We’ll definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of discovering Hotel Post during a music event in Solda and needed a room for my partner and I. Verene, Andrea, Sarah, and the entire hotel staff were wonderful and made me feel like family. The welcome was wonderful, and above all, the food and service were superb, 5-star. The outdoor balcony overlooks the mountains, and everything was stunning; I almost left in tears. A big hug, and as soon as I'm in the area, I'll definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

An exceptional hotel where everything is just right and you are completely pampered. From the very first minute, we felt welcome by the owning family and the staff. Cleanliness was always a top priority, and our 3/4 board was simply outstanding. The rooms are furnished in a traditional style, very clean, and offer a fantastic view. The cuisine was first-class. The menus and buffets are truly exquisite! The variety, diversity, abundance, and very high quality simply delighted us. The afternoon snack was also a lovely touch when we returned hungry from hiking. We would love to come back!

The cleanliness of your hotel is outstanding. Both the room and the public areas, such as the lobby, spa, and restaurant, were consistently well-maintained and cleaned. I felt very comfortable and was able to enjoy my stay in clean and hygienic surroundings.
The service at your hotel is excellent. All the staff were consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful. Whether at reception, in the bar, in the restaurant, or with room service – I was always very well looked after. All employees are highly competent and always have an open ear for the guests' needs.
The hotel's amenities leave nothing to be desired. My room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and equipped with all the necessary comforts. The comfortable mattress deserves special mention; I slept wonderfully on it. The public areas, such as the gym, spa, and pool, were also top-notch and in excellent condition.
The breakfast and lunch menus left nothing to be desired. The food was perfectly coordinated, and the evening menu was superbly presented.
The staff made our stay at your hotel for my wife's 60th birthday a truly special experience. We felt completely at ease and were exceptionally well looked after. The hotel is definitely worth recommending, and I will gladly stay with you again on my next visit to South Tyrol.

An exceptionally well-located hotel in Sulden with panoramic views of the Ortler and Vertain mountain ranges.
The menus are fabulous: kudos to the chefs! The lunch and afternoon tea options are a real bonus. They allow guests to enjoy a meal at any time of day, especially after one of the countless hiking trails available for all levels. The spa is also well-appointed, spread over two floors, and offers something for everyone.

Even as a toddler, I often went to the Posthotel Sulden and I stumbled upon it again by chance. It was fantastic. The food was incredible and the spa area excellent. Very friendly staff at reception and the hotel owner was also very friendly. Big compliments to all the chefs! The only criticism is that you have to pay for tap water. They describe it as a service charge but then please provide self-service water. It just seems a bit unprofessional when I can eat 10 tiramisus for free and even get free champagne on Sunday breakfast but no free water. It's just weird, to be honest. We would have appreciated a bit better English from the service staff, but at check-in the lady spoke very little English and unfortunately we couldn't understand what she was saying. These are just minor complaints that simply dampen the first impression somewhat. But as I said, it was fantastic and I'll be back next year!

We stayed in a suite: the location is stunning, with many amenities, a well-kept garden, daily room cleaning, and all the staff were friendly and helpful! My only suggestion is to retrain some of the young waiters, but only because you expect more professionalism from a 4-star hotel.
The restaurant is excellent, with a variety of menu choices and a fabulous breakfast. Ample private parking is available.

Location: really convenient location compare to the other places in town, specially to funiculars, you can even can have a walk there.
Parking: they have a parking space opposite the hotel
Interior: the interior of the hotel is very unique and cozy, there are a lot of details around. Very spacious hall, and terrace outside, you can enjoy your drink there, as they have a bar with in the same floor.
The interior of the suit is quite cozy, I just didn’t like the window from bathroom to the room, it’s really transparent, so you can see the other person easily.
It’s very clean suits and hotel in general.
They have a restaurant - we were so happy with the choice of food for the buffet and good options for the main course and desserts, really good breakfasts
Service: staff is very friendly and responsive, and speak English
Common area: there is really big territory around the resort, there is a spa on the ground floor. There are many benches and paths on the territory, you can take a walk to the lake also.
The most important is an incredible view from any corner of the hotel.
100 % the best choice I’ve made for our stay.
Compare to the other hotels it’s the best compliance with price and quality.

The only downside is that some rooms aren't exactly modern, and some are starting to show their age. The food is spectacular. We've been back several times and will be back again!

I'm returning for the second year and will return again. The hotel is perfect, from the rooms to the staff, the food, and the spa, in a magical, absolutely enchanting place. 2023... still here, and I think we'll always return. It gets better with time. Today is my son's 17th birthday, from the early days of the kids' club to the climbing. They left him a beautiful birthday card, and tonight an incredible cake. It's wonderful here.

The best thing is the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff!
Alberto is a good hotel, with large common areas. We booked a room with a living room, which was spacious and had a large bathroom with a shower and tub (a few details could have been improved).
The beautiful wellness area is divided into two parts: one for families (a few more loungers in this area would be helpful) and one for adults.
On the downside, our table was located in the bar area, so we were disturbed by the noise of the coffee machine, the dishwasher, and the usual waiters.

The hotel is located in a pretty village in the mountains. For 40-50 km from the hotel the climate changes. You find yourself in a snow fairy tale. The hotel is very conveniently located among several ski slopes and ski lifts. It is very convenient to get there by car. If without a car, then shuttle buses go to the ski lifts.
If you don’t feel like skiing, you can just walk around the village and enjoy the beautiful views. A one-time climb to the top costs 17€. Ski pass for the day 50€.
In hotel I recommend taking full board. The food is great, great selection. Dinner consists of 5 small courses, beautiful presentation and high quality. Alcohol for an additional fee. Amazing house wine
I would like to highlight the spa area. There is a common area with a swimming pool, saunas (some did not work). On the lower textile free zone with a swimming pool, saunas and a relaxation area. Almost every day at 17:30 there is a ritual in the sauna with scrubbing. Also in the spa area there are always drinks, apples, dried fruits.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, check in and check out were quick.
I will definitely come back here. Magical place!

The food is very good; in addition to a 5-course menu (including vegetarian), guests can also choose from an alternative menu. The breakfast selection is very good, and the delicious freshly prepared egg dishes are also worth mentioning. The wellness area is spacious, including a well-heated (!) pool. The outdoor area is incomparable, with a natural swimming pond! Everything is well-maintained, with attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and decorated in Alpine style. The high valley "Suldental" lies at an altitude of approximately 1900 m and is ideal for short runs or varied mountain hikes... thanks to the fantastic and motivated team - we would love to come back!!

A fully equipped hotel, from the gym, pool, sauna, and all kinds of amenities. You can eat from morning to night: breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00, lunch buffet from 1:00 to 2:00, dessert buffet from 2:00 to 4:00, and dinner from 6:30 to 8:30.
In the morning, they presented you with the menu along with an alternative menu, and you chose what to eat that evening. In the afternoon, you were always busy with everything.
The staff is extremely friendly throughout, and if there are any problems, they resolve them immediately.

As a cyclist, I spontaneously spent a weekend in Sulden as part of an Alpine holiday. I can't rate the wellness area because I simply didn't have enough time for it. The surrounding area is fantastically beautiful for racing bikes and hiking, and the hotel itself offers great views of the Ortler from the terrace. The service at reception was very friendly, and you can of course take your racing bike into your room. Room was large and clean, WiFi free, house slightly noisy but not really negative. Breakfast was very rich and tasty, as was the lunch buffet. The dinner was very delicate and beautifully presented, and the service staff was always friendly. Price-performance ratio was definitely right. I can only recommend a stay and will definitely come back to the post office in Sulden.

A vacation in South Tyrol was planned, with a few days of hiking and a bike ride up the Stelvio Pass planned. The price for the hotel was excellent, but there had to be a catch somewhere. A few weeks later, I can now recount my experience.
First of all, there was no catch. The value for money is fantastic!
The hotel offers a large free parking lot, where you should always be able to find a space. There is also a paid garage, but we didn't use it.
Check-in was quick; after a few minutes, during which, among other things, our COVID vaccination certificates were checked, we had our room keys. The reception was very friendly, and we even received a small gift from the hotel.
When we arrived in the room, there was a huge surprise. A large double bed, a comfortable seating area with a sofa, armchairs, and a TV, as well as a winter garden and a small terrace with two lounge chairs. Very nice!
What became apparent over the course of the days, however, was the thin sound coming from the neighboring rooms and the lack of air conditioning, but these were two issues we could easily overlook.
A companion of mine had also borrowed an e-bike, which was then shown to us and given a brief explanation. There was a fee for the e-bike, but the approximately €20 per day is perfectly reasonable and normal.
Since we arrived in the evening, we quickly went to dinner. A five-course menu awaited us. And it wasn't just fantastic on the first day; we were also very impressed with it on the following days.
In addition to the set menu, there are always alternatives you can put together yourself, such as veal schnitzel or roast beef. So everyone can find something to suit their taste.
Drink prices are reasonable, the wine list is very extensive, and the bar offers cocktails, long drinks, etc. in the evening.
The breakfast is also commendable, with a large selection of cold cuts, jams, fruit, etc., enough to satisfy everyone.
The wellness area is also very nice, with a large area with saunas, a steam room, and more, as well as a pool and whirlpool. A well-equipped gym is also available.
Outdoors, there are several loungers and a swimming lake, although it was quite cold during our visit, so we didn't use it.
The service is perfect throughout the hotel; you'll always receive a friendly and helpful welcome at reception, during meals, or at the bar.
Every morning, there was a daily newsletter at breakfast with information on the weather, the region, and hiking recommendations. Guided hikes are also offered, but we didn't take advantage of them.
For cycling tours over the Passo di Solda, you need to drive your bike out of Sulden and start, for example, in Prato. The road to Sulden would be a much more challenging pass than the road up the ridge.
After a few days at the hotel and our almost entirely positive experiences, we'll probably stay there again.

The hotel can certainly be described as one of the best in South Tyrol. We found the food to be delicious. The culinary quality, as well as the visual quality, left nothing to be desired. It was a bit of a shame that the salad buffet and the breakfast buffet were partly "empty" of some items.
Rooms: Certainly adequate. The beds were always nicely made. The bed was also made up in the evening.
We always had fresh terry cloth linens. We were not charged for the exchanged bathrobe. That's fine; it really should be included in the price.
Service: The ladies and gentlemen, who mostly came from the Eastern Bloc, were all very friendly and attentive in their service; we thought it was great.
Sauna area: Excellent. What we missed was a plunge pool with cold water. It's also unclear whether the entire sauna area is a nude zone or not. It seems very strange to have naked women next to men wearing swim trunks in the sauna area. More clarity should be provided here. My opinion: The sauna area is textile-free, period.
Also, people weren't observing the quiet order and were chatting at full volume in the sauna area. The staff didn't intervene...
It was a bit of a shame that the beautiful entrance area was blocked by parked cars. There were plenty of free spaces across the street. Unfortunately, there are still athletes who don't consider walking a sport.
And the boss: Make up your own mind...
I think we'll go to the post office again, not right now, but sometime.

A superbly beautiful hotel with a very appealing ambiance. It's certainly not cheap, but it's still worth the money. Great attention to detail, friendly service, a delicious breakfast buffet, a beautiful terrace with a view of the mountains, and lovely loungers and a wellness area. The only criticism I could make is that the food, while creative, isn't necessarily always as "gourmet" as advertised. Overall, though, it's highly recommended if you're willing to spend that kind of money.

I ate the best goulash in the Alps (from the Maritime Alps to the Sesto Dolomites). It was prepared for a special occasion, my only customer for a pre-season evening, and by a special family (the managers of the refuge).

Reviews and ratings are, in principle, always dependent on the traveler's expectations and ability to compare! The hotel is indeed family-run. Which isn't always an advantage. And it doesn't mean that deficiencies are improved or even remedied. The service leaves much to be desired in many areas and isn't always very professional. In the restaurant, you might find broken glasses at dinner. The food itself is average in taste and could use a bit of a tweak. The head waiter, on the other hand, is truly excellent. The wellness area is indeed very spacious and appropriately "generously" signposted, and you quickly realize that a large number of guests are confused about whether they are allowed/should enter the whirlpool "natural" or in a "bathing suit." The therapists are great. Their service and work are perfect. The rooms were okay. Unfortunately, the building itself is so thinly soundproof that you hear every little thing—every step, every door that closes. Unfortunately, the doors are also constructed in such a way that you're forced to close them from the outside when leaving the room, which understandably leads to even more banging. Our bedsheets had darned holes, and the terry cloth towels seemed to have been dried next to the kitchen. The room minibar is empty! They charge 7 euros to exchange a bathrobe during your stay (I don't know if I'd like to still have to use the same bathrobe after 5 days of sauna sessions and massages—I don't see that in other hotels). The hotel also has Wi-Fi, but it's not free. You can log in and choose which time ticket you want (1 hour, 2 hours, or a flat rate). But be careful: This doesn't mean that your online time will be counted! This means that a new ticket will be charged each time you log in. I don't see that in other hotels either. The hotel also has a garage. Only suitable for patient drivers whose vehicles are, if possible, of a standard standard. One more thing to add: There are a lot of children there (pre-school children) who seem quite comfortable turning the restaurant into a playground and racetrack. As is often the case, parents on vacation aren't particularly concerned with protecting other guests wandering around with plates in their hands from collisions. The "playroom" in the basement therefore also leads to lots of loud children's laughter. My personal opinion is: there are much better hotels in the area!
