From the very first moment, we knew: We'll definitely be back. Even upon arrival, we felt more than just guests. The warm welcome immediately put us at ease and was the perfect start to our short break.
The staff truly impressed us. Every single employee was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always seemed to be there at just the right moment. Our wishes were often fulfilled before we even thought of them – this made our stay truly special.
Although it's all-inclusive, the quality is simply exceptional. The food is Michelin-star quality, beautifully presented, and a real culinary highlight. The drinks are also high-quality and carefully selected.
The hotel itself immediately captivated us: stylish, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and with spacious rooms where you simply feel at home. Because the hotel is small, it has a quiet, intimate, and incredibly cozy atmosphere – the perfect place to unwind and relax.
And then there's the location! The view of Merano is priceless and thrilled us every single day. You just want to stop and soak in the view.
In short: This hotel impressed us in every way. It feels like a place you'll want to return to again and again – and that's exactly what we'll do.

Simply wow! Our stay at Hotel Avidea was absolutely perfect. Thank you again to everyone for making our stay so wonderful.
Food:
The food was a highlight throughout. Breakfast offered a large and high-quality selection, including a variety of freshly prepared egg dishes, and the coffee was excellent. Lunch was also very generous, featuring both hot and cold options, a combination of buffet and à la carte. Dinner was fantastic, easily comparable to a Michelin-starred restaurant. The luxury all-inclusive concept truly covers everything, allowing guests to enjoy a wide selection of exquisite cocktails and an extensive wine list.
Service:
The service was simply wonderful. The entire team was incredibly attentive, warm, and personable, making us feel instantly at ease. We would especially like to commend Christine and Serena, who made our dinners even more special each evening with their incredibly kind and friendly manner.
Dinner was fantastic, easily comparable to a Michelin-starred restaurant. Room:
The room was very nice and spacious, and the view of the mountain panorama, over which the sun rises in the morning, was simply breathtaking. The large balcony is an additional highlight, offering plenty of space and perfect for relaxing.
Spa:
The spa area is surprisingly large for a relatively small hotel, featuring two wonderfully warm pools where you can truly unwind. In addition, there are three saunas and a steam room, all offering ample space. There are plenty of loungers in each area, so you never have to worry about finding a spot. The sauna infusions were also excellent and perfectly complemented the spa experience.
In short: a hotel that excels in every aspect, one you'd want to book again immediately, and which we can wholeheartedly recommend.

I was absolutely thrilled with my stay at this hotel. I would particularly like to highlight the beautiful wellness area: The rooftop pool with its view of the surroundings is simply stunning, and the indoor pool was also mostly pleasantly empty – perfect for relaxing. The sauna area is very well-maintained and truly invites you to unwind.
The food was excellent: regional, high-quality cuisine with three different menu options in the evening, a delicious afternoon snack with plenty of cakes, and a very healthy, varied breakfast. The drinks selection also leaves nothing to be desired – the cocktails were great, the beer excellent, and the menu generally very extensive.
The hotel itself is in a quiet location and ideal for relaxation. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive – their every need was practically anticipated. My room was always clean and lovingly decorated. A real highlight was the whirlpool in the room – with 38-degree warm water, pure relaxation!
Overall, the atmosphere is very pleasant and intimate. If you're looking for peace, quiet, and relaxation, this is the place for you.
The only minor drawback: To get to the sauna area and the indoor pool, you have to walk right through the hotel – a bit inconvenient, especially in a bathrobe. Furthermore, there's unfortunately no service staff in the spa area. It would be nice if someone would stop by occasionally – maybe once an hour – to take orders.
Nevertheless, overall, this is a wonderful hotel that I can wholeheartedly recommend. I'll definitely be back!

We visited Avidea for our honeymoon and without a doubt, it is one of the best places we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. If you are considering travelling to South Tyrol, Avidea is a must, our only regret is not staying longer.
The hotel is perfectly located with an incredible view from every angle, whilst also being close to a town as well as lovely hike options and vineyards. The room, facilities, and the food was all incredible. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt special on our honeymoon, it truly was an incredible stay. The flowers in the room were some of the most beautiful flowers we had ever received. We loved the chocolates, strawberries champagne included in the honeymoon package and little touches they had incorporated to make it as memorable as possible.
We honestly can’t fault a thing and would highly recommend Avidea to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We really hope to return in the future.

From the very first minute of our stay, we felt very welcome and at home. ALL the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and left no wish unfulfilled.
We particularly enjoyed the breakfast and dinner; everything was fresh, high-quality, and lovingly prepared. There was something special and new to "taste" every day.
Our room with a large balcony was modern and comfortable, with a magical view of the valley.
A lovely highlight, in addition to the indoor pool, sauna, fitness room, and wellness area, was the rooftop terrace with a pool, which we even made use of in the beautiful weather in October.
We 100% recommend the hotel and look forward to our next stay here.

Review: Hotel Avidea, South Tyrol (5 stars, adults only)
This is our third time staying at the Hotel Avidea. We are particularly impressed by the stunning location. You step out of the hotel and find yourself directly surrounded by nature with numerous hiking trails, without needing a car. We also find the manageable size and quiet location of this adults-only hotel very pleasant.
The suites are modern, spacious, and feature large balconies with stunning views. An absolute highlight is the rooftop pool area: stylish loungers, a very nice pool, and a stunning view of the mountains.
However, during our current stay, we had two rainy days, and this reveals one of the hotel's weaknesses. The rooftop pool is unusable in bad weather due to the lack of any roof. The indoor and outdoor pools, as well as the wellness area, are also too small for a hotel of this category, even when operating at full capacity. Therefore, the offerings seem severely limited when it rains.
Another point of criticism concerns the parking options. Covered parking spaces are limited, and the underground parking garage is subject to a fee. We consider this unreasonable for a 5-star hotel. At comparable wellness hotels in South Tyrol and Austria, a garage parking space is always included.
The culinary offerings also impressed us less this time than in previous years. Both the selection and the taste have diminished. Overall, we felt the value for money was no longer as good as before.
We would also like to see a service employee regularly present at the rooftop pool to take drink orders. With an all-inclusive package, it shouldn't be necessary to fetch drinks yourself; that significantly detracts from the relaxation.
We would like to highlight the consistently friendly and courteous staff, as well as the cleanliness in all areas. Anyone looking for a fantastic location, peace and quiet, and a modern ambience in good weather will certainly be happy at the adults-only Hotel Avidea. In bad weather, however, the hotel's wellness area clearly shows its weaknesses.
Conclusion:
A very nice adults-only hotel in a prime location with a fantastic rooftop pool, friendly staff, and modern suites. Ideal for a sun and nature holiday, but with limitations in bad weather and an overall less than ideal value for money.

A mountain paradise just a few kilometers from Merano. We stayed in the "Avidea Rooftop Suite" with a freestanding bathtub and infrared cabin. The food is sublime, and the all-inclusive package offers a luxurious experience. It includes an extensive breakfast buffet with an à la carte menu, an afternoon snack with a hot and cold dish. For dinner, you can choose from three menus, which can be alternated, preceded by a salad buffet. All drinks, including alcoholic ones, are included. Poolside drinks and cocktails are also included in the all-inclusive package. On Tuesday evenings, there's a DJ by the pool, which is great fun .
This hotel is a perfect base for hiking, with many hiking trails and lifts in the area. Massages are also highly recommended, as is the sauna with two infusion sessions per day. The hotel also organizes yoga and Pilates sessions.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
We found this hotel through Instagram, and it was a hit. Great Instagram page, by the way .
If I may mention one area for improvement, it's the organic garden you can see from the restaurant. It looks rather untidy and overgrown, but it's not managed by the hotel itself, so they have no control over it.
To reach the hotel, always choose the road from the Lagundo exit, as the other road is simply too narrow for a large car.
Don't hesitate if you're planning to stay anywhere near Merano

Location: Great view of Merano. The Algund chairlift is about a 10-minute walk away.
Rooms: Modern, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. We had a room with an infrared cabin, which I highly recommend; it was very relaxing.
Wellness: Beautiful, tranquil spa area with well-maintained saunas and cozy relaxation areas. The rooftop infinity pool with views of the landscape is a real highlight.
Food: We were thrilled with the all-inclusive dining concept: high-quality, creative cuisine with a variety of vegetarian dishes and delicious drinks, all very tasty.
Service: All staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times – you feel completely welcome.
Summary: A stylish, relaxing hotel with a harmonious concept throughout. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back!

If there had been 6 stars available, I would have given 6 stars!! A real place to relax. Super friendly staff, no effort is too much and everything is done with a big smile. Pampered from arrival to departure. On arrival, your car can be parked and on departure the nice surprise that the windows of your car have been cleaned. Super tasty food, from warming up to degustative. The massage is definitely also recommended!! In short, the perfect rest - zen holiday. Beautiful sustainable materials used for the interior. Very neatly maintained. From 7am in the morning the cleaning team is already busy putting everything in order.

A luxury all inclusive adults only hotel in a small hamlet of Lagundo, a few kilometers from Merano. Avidea is a place to regenerate, enjoy gourmet dishes, relax in the modern spa and generally indulge in absolute moments of relaxation. Our suite was spacious, panoramic with a bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the forest and a panoramic terrace with private jacuzzi and sauna.
The spa, clean, modern and welcoming. The panoramic swimming pool with hydromassage on the rooftop is fabulous. Special mention for the food: from breakfast to dinner the dishes were excellent, prepared with local raw materials. Everything perfect

The Avidea is perched high above the Adige Valley. The first thing you notice as you enjoy a welcome drink on the panoramic terrace is the polyphonic, loud concert of birds from the forest, which begins less than 20 metres away. And the gurgling of the water in the Waal just below the terrace. Time to watch some television. With spring fever: Apple blossoms in white and pale pink dot the slopes. Interspersed with them are solitary cypress trees rising into the blue sky. Palm trees sway in the early summer breeze.
The Avidea occupies a fantastic pole position at 550 metres. The forest begins next to the hotel. Behind it is the highest mountain in South Tyrol at 3,905 metres. At the front, the view extends into the Etschtal valley and towards Meran. In the background are the Sarntal Alps. The Avidea almost has its feet in the Algunder Waal, which runs for five kilometres from Oberplars to Gratsch.
The Sky Pool on the roof is so long that it invites you to do less ambitious crawling and more sightseeing swimming. We squint into the sun and our stiff back muscles soften. The peaks of Ifinger and Hirzer still have a little snow on them in mid-April. Down in the Etsch Valley, millions of apple trees are in blossom - 60 million to be precise. The occasional palm tree and a few gnarled olive trees complete the picture. What a backdrop - you can safely put away your swimming goggles.
Another thing we enjoy: No screaming children to spoil the tranquil atmosphere. The owners, Melanie and Martin Pircher-Bacher, along with the ever-present Evi and her husband Georg Bacher, have decided to run the hotel as an adults-only establishment.
Suites and rooms Our 63-square-metre Aqua Spa Suite boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony overlooking the valley and a small balcony overlooking the Mitterplars. Natural wood veneer floor. Natural colours. Plenty of space. Light oak furniture. A huge wardrobe for a large family. The opulently proportioned bathroom is more of a wellness area: rainforest shower, freestanding bathtub and infrared cabin. In addition to the 15 new nature suites, there are also 14 fully refurbished rooms, bringing the maximum capacity to 58 guests.
Wellness The beautifully designed spa area attracts guests with sophisticated treatments and an indoor and outdoor pool. Sauna area with bio sauna, Finnish sauna and steam bath. Guests can relax on waterbeds or in curtained 'bunks'. The treatments use Team Dr Joseph products, made in Italy, which are completely vegan and cruelty-free. This includes the rosemary and wild mint shampoo and juniper and lavender body wash in the rooms.
The kitchen We have kept to three five-course menus: regional, modern and vegetarian. Salmon trout with fennel, beef shank with napkin dumplings or veal shank sous vide left nothing to be desired. The desserts, such as orange sorbet or a trio of beetroot, ricotta and raspberry, were excellent.
The luxurious all-inclusive catering also includes a quality breakfast buffet with regional produce, salad bar and cold starters between 1.30pm and 4pm. Mineral water, juices and spritzers, beer, cocktails, a selection of fine wines and aperitifs, including the house aperitif of Prosecco with lime, ginger ale and mint, are available throughout the day.
Head chef Sven Oliver Burkolter places great emphasis on regional products. Of course, Burkolter also has South Tyrolean classics on the menu: Schlutzkrapfen, dumplings and beef shoulder sausages. The salmon trout comes from the Passeier Valley, the meat from the in-house butchery Siebenförcher Meran. Apples, strawberries and apricots come from Vinschgau.

An unforgettable stay, pure luxury and relaxation
Our stay at Avidea was simply fantastic. From the first second we felt welcome and in perfect hands. The adult-only hotel concept is ideal for couples looking for peace, togetherness and a stylish ambience. Right on the Waalweg, perfect for a short hike or a morning run, later less recommended because of all the people.
The rooms are modern, elegant and furnished with great attention to detail - I really liked the loungers on the private balcony. Everywhere you feel that quality and comfort come first.
The wellness area is an oasis of relaxation: several saunas, a beautiful pool and relaxing massages let you immediately forget the stress of everyday life. We were also spoiled with culinary delights - the breakfast was varied and high quality, and dinner in the in-house restaurant was a real gourmet experience, plus a leisurely lunch in the afternoon with plenty of choice.
The disadvantage is the separation of the pool from the wellness and gym, and the water in the rooftop pool wasn't warm enough for us, but we were also unlucky with the weather.
The staff was always friendly, attentive and discreet - exactly what you would expect in a hotel of this class, a huge compliment.
If you want to spend romantic days in a stylish atmosphere, this is the right place for you. We'll definitely be back!

It was the most relaxing and wonderful 12 days we've ever had.
Compliments to the entire staff. The service was so attentive, the cuisine so creative and exquisite, the rooms were always cleaned with love, the reception staff tried to fulfill every wish, the spa treatments were very professional, and of course, the hosts were always there for a kind word.
And one thing is for sure: this has become our favorite place, and we'll be back, next April at the latest.

We just spent a weekend at Avidea
Many positive aspects: the all-inclusive open bar package is definitely excellent and offers significant savings.
The staff is truly courteous and friendly.
The location allows you to enjoy the view over the valley.
The room is spacious and very warm.
Wellness: well-stocked sauna area. Personally, I found the pools a little cold; a few degrees more wouldn't have bothered me (the only flaw).
The cuisine is truly amazing, with a lunch and dinner buffet featuring numerous courses.

This was our first, but certainly not our last, visit to AVIDEA. Here are my impressions:
Rooms:
The rooms are incredibly beautiful, and nothing is missing. The beds are large and comfortable, and you can order as many pillows as you need. The bathroom area is very spacious and modern. Simply perfect!
The spa area:
The indoor and outdoor pools are separated from the sauna area. I think this is great because it means you don't have so many people moving around in both areas. Both areas are beautifully designed, and there are plenty of very comfortable loungers. The rooftop pool with its huge roof terrace is beautiful and invites you to linger for a while. It was below two degrees Celsius when we arrived, and it was very cold when you came out of the warm water. But four floors down, you could quickly warm up again in the indoor pool.
The staff:
From the very first second, we received a very friendly welcome and were immediately invited to the bar for a refreshing drink. While we enjoyed our drinks, our suitcases were brought to our room. Every single employee, including the manager, was constantly striving to make our stay a perfect getaway? And they all achieved this together!
The Cuisine:
We've stayed in many different hotels, but what the AVIDEA kitchen prepared for guests was top-notch. Everything was truly exquisite, and without repeating it once, any intolerance was taken into account the entire time. The absolute highlight, however, was the gala dinner on the last evening. Not counting the bread with olive oil and the cheese buffet after the meal, there was a seven-course menu. Incredibly delicious and of the highest quality. In my opinion, that's Michelin-starred cuisine.
We were able to park our car in the garage, which is very spacious and therefore suitable for large cars.
Conclusion:
The overall package at the Avidea is the best I've ever experienced as a hotel guest. Everything is simply perfect. You are constantly looked after without the service being intrusive. The AVIDEA is highly recommended, even if it's not a bargain, but it's worth every cent. Thank you so much for the amazing vacation! We'll be back!

I chose this hotel because it's the only one offering an all-inclusive full board package (unlimited open bar). We immediately felt at home. We'll definitely be back in the spring or summer. The area is filled with vineyards and apple orchards, and when they're in bloom, they're truly beautiful. Next to the hotel, there's a path that connects it to the towns of Lagundo and Merano.

My wife and I spent four days in this wonderful hotel. I must say we were pampered from the beginning of our stay until our departure. The building is brand new, the room is beautiful and equipped with every comfort, the spa is splendid and not too crowded, and the entire hotel is spotlessly clean. As for the food, it was all delicious and the products were definitely top-quality, like those of a Michelin-starred restaurant. An excellent hotel, but one that still needs to find its place. For example, it's unclear whether guests will be addressed informally or formally. It's also unclear whether check-in is at 2 or 3 p.m.
Positive: Cleanliness, friendliness, quiet (adults-only makes sense). The dinner could reach star level with a slightly more clever use of spices. The drinks selection, especially the wines, is extensive and of a good standard.
Small fitness room, but with the exception of a rowing machine, it has everything you need and is of good quality.
The sauna area is never overcrowded.
Special requests are gladly accommodated, and the staff is very helpful.
The rooftop pool area is very nice, thanks in part to the plants and comfortable loungers.
Minor criticisms: Bathroom 101 is huge, but not very practical, which can be irritating during a longer stay.

After getting engaged at the Hotel Avidea last year, we also spent our honeymoon there. The "older" part of the hotel was renovated over the winter to match the newly built section a few years ago, and the concept was changed to all-inclusive – all standard drinks (wines, beers, cocktails, etc.) are now included in the price. The service hasn't declined in any way due to the all-inclusive offer and remains outstanding. To single out individual service staff here would be an injustice to all the others, as everyone was simply so warm and friendly. You get to know each other after a few days, and the atmosphere is fantastic. You immediately feel at home and welcome in this family-run hotel. The new spa area leaves nothing to be desired, and the new panoramic pool on the roof terrace was our highlight. The cuisine is top-notch, and the newly introduced afternoon snack is not to be missed. The cleanliness is impeccable, and even during dinner, the rooms are spruced up again. We can once again 100% recommend the Hotel Avidea this year. Many thanks to the Bacher-Pircher family for this unforgettable time!

On our tour of various hotels in South Tyrol, our stay at the 5-star Hotel Avidea in Algund, lovingly run by the Bacher family, was an absolute highlight and one we would happily recommend. The hotel is adults-only. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Anna, who, as we were a bit early, invited us to enjoy a relaxing glass of Prosecco on the terrace while we waited for our room.
We were delighted to learn that we had received a free upgrade to the Aurora Garden Suite. The suite was not only tastefully and modernly furnished, but also offered a whirlpool and a breathtaking view of Merano. The spacious bathroom with a large shower and the practical closet were particularly impressive.
The entire staff at the Hotel Avidea was distinguished by their friendliness, helpfulness, and warmth. We enjoyed breakfast on a wonderful terrace above an apple orchard. The hotel's quiet location allowed us to sleep well at night.
Dinner, a 5-course menu with meat, fish, and vegetarian options, was excellent. The staff carefully catered to allergies and intolerances. Another highlight was the ultra-all-inclusive package, which included a variety of drinks throughout the day.
The hotel places great emphasis on sustainability by offering regional products and sourcing wine from local vineyards. The wellness area, beauty center, and small fitness studio complemented the offerings. The rooftop pool, with its spectacular views and stylish loungers, offered a perfect place to relax. The daily program with activities such as Qigong, sauna sessions, and wine tastings rounded off their fantastic stay.
We are looking forward to the rest of our time here at the hotel and are excited to see what the Bacher family and team have in store for us. The Hotel Avidea is truly a perfect place to enjoy a wonderful break in South Tyrol and a standout among our hotel reviews in the region. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The Avidea is a wonderful hotel for adults. Everything just fits perfectly here! Upon our arrival in the morning, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The service at this hotel is generally first-class, with waiter Julian standing out with his consistently cheerful and attentive manner! The food is absolutely fantastic – whether it's breakfast, a midday snack, or dinner, there's something for everyone here.
The room decor is very stylish and thoughtfully designed. Our highlight was the sky pool with a view of the rooftops of Merano. We stayed another night because it was so beautiful.

The high-quality rooms, which are furnished with absolute taste and quality. The dining terrace, which is second to none, with a gigantic, wonderful view of Merano, sweetens breakfast, afternoon snacks, or dinner.

We stayed at the Avidea from June 16-21, 2024, and had a wonderful time. Even the weather cooperated. The hotel is located high up in the vineyards, on the Wahlweg trail. This has its advantages and disadvantages. Hikes start practically on the doorstep. Bike tours end with a steep climb.

Avidea, a hotel like no other.
You'll be pampered from the moment you arrive (warm towels, we park your car, etc.).
The hotel is in a prime location above Algund. A Waalweg (canal irrigation channel) trail starts there, perfect for hiking. The rooms are perfectly equipped, and the tranquility promotes relaxation. You sleep wonderfully and can even choose your pillow filling (lavender, pine, hay, and more). The wellness and fitness area features an indoor and outdoor pool. The rooftop pool with a view of Merano is magnificent.
Breakfast and dinner leave nothing to be desired; you can switch between three menus. The wine list is remarkable ;-), as is the wine tasting included in the price!
While you're enjoying dinner, the "house angel," Elena, makes the beds and places a fresh glass of tap water on your bedside table :-).
The staff is super accommodating!
We highly recommend the hotel and would be happy to return.

We've been going to South Tyrol for many years and have stayed in many hotels, but we can wholeheartedly recommend the Avidea in Algund – except for one minor criticism.
It's in a quiet, prime location with a fantastic view of Algund and Merano. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the rooftop terrace with whirlpool is simply fantastic. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared, the ambiance is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The wellness and spa facilities also leave nothing to be desired.
The only minor criticism of the hotel is that the seating in the dining room is very close together. This can sometimes increase the noise level. This needs to be improved to provide a bit more space and thus more privacy.
But otherwise, all in all, a top-notch hotel and one of the best we've ever stayed at. We felt very comfortable there. It's quite possible that we'll spend the next fall break at the Avidea again. In any case, this won't be our last visit to the Avidea.

Even though I've been to Merano before, I wasn't familiar with the Lagundo area, and it was a very pleasant surprise.
The Hotel Avidea, located high above the valley, enjoys magnificent views from almost everywhere: from the terrace, the rooms, and the infinity pool.
It's a small but very well-maintained hotel: the spa area is definitely the highlight, with its Kneipp path, sauna, and Jacuzzi; a little corner has been created that feels like being in Bali.
The rooms are also very beautiful: comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed.

The room was beautiful, spacious, well-furnished and equipped with everything you need, spotlessly clean, and had a spectacular view!
The breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the dinner was top-notch (both in terms of flavor, presentation, and variety).
Even in the common areas and the spa, nothing is left to chance: from the fresh flower to the exquisite ornament, you can see the passion behind it all!
The pool water is always a pleasant temperature!
All the staff were always super friendly and helpful!
There is ample parking.
The path in front of the hotel is very pretty and accessible to everyone. It's just a few kilometers from the Merano markets and the Merano 2000 cable car.
Lastly, a very positive note: I'm lactose intolerant, and they were able to accommodate me without too many requests, offering alternatives to the daily menu. Thank you, thank you so much! It's hard to feel as pampered as you are at this hotel!

We have never been so completely happy as we were here.
Even when we booked over the phone, we knew that this vacation would be filled with friendliness and warmth. Whether it was a short weekend trip or a long-distance trip, my husband and I have never had such a completely perfect vacation as the week we spent at the Avidea in Algund.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the daughter of the house and enjoyed a welcoming glass of sparkling wine on the terrace with a unique view.
The service from Edith, Janine, and Hannes was unbeatable. As a guest, you can tell that these three have made their profession their vocation and are committed to it with heart and soul.
The food far exceeded all expectations, and there was NOTHING that didn't taste good.

A very nice hotel with a fantastic pool and panoramic roof terrace. The staff and owners were always very friendly and accommodating. The food was top-notch, with great attention to detail. We'll be back!

The hotel is located on a hillside with a beautiful view.
The new part of the hotel with the suites is very nice. It offers plenty of space and has a large terrace and beautiful furniture.
The Affinity Pool is elegantly designed. On the roof, there are two whirlpools with a wonderful view of Merano.
What's a shame for a 4-star hotel: there's practically nothing to eat in the afternoon.

The hotel exceeded my expectations in every respect. It simply couldn't be better. The rooms are large and perfectly furnished, the food is excellent, and guests immediately feel at home. Not to be forgotten are the attractive wellness area and the convenient location for hiking. A navigation system is recommended for directions.

If you need to recharge, this is the place to be. A quietly located hotel with views of Algund and Merano (especially from the rooftop whirlpool). A lovely, small spa area with a Finnish outdoor sauna and Turkish steam bath, as well as massages that can be booked separately. The suite in the new building complex was a dream, and the reception and staff were very warm and personal. The absolute highlight, however, was the food. A changing breakfast theme every morning, and dinner (half board) will delight even the most discerning palate with a 5-course menu (a new theme every evening with matching wine recommendations).
The Bacher family and their hotel/kitchen team simply blew my mind, and next year I'll be heading back to beautiful South Tyrol for my escape from everyday life ️

Beautiful hotel, surrounded by nature. Very nice, spacious, and clean rooms. The dinners included in the half-board package were very good, every evening it felt like we were eating at a Michelin-starred restaurant! Kudos to the staff, who were kind and friendly!

Our stay at the Hotel Avidea Wellfeeling
This was our first time in this beautiful area, and we absolutely loved this hotel.
Here's just a small selection of what we particularly liked about the Avidea.
First and foremost, the family-run hotel with its wonderful hosts, the Bacher family, who cater to all guests' needs in every way, making our stay an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for that.
Then, the many wonderful employees, who perform their work so attentively and discreetly with love and dedication, deserve a special mention. Thank you so much for that too.
The hotel itself is a feast for the eyes. High up in the village of Oberplars, you can enjoy a beautiful view over Algund and Merano.
And, of course, we must also mention the cuisine, which never fails to impress with its incredibly creative and delicious dishes, with such attention to detail that we were completely won over by.
There's not much more to say, as you have to experience this perfection for yourself. We're already looking forward to our next stay at the Hotel Avidea-Wellfeeling.

Amazing. Food, service, location... everything amazing. The view from the roof terrace down onto the city is astonishing, especially since you can enjoy it from inside one of two whirlpools while getting served your favorite beverage by the service personel. My room had the same view with a balcony and was really large in size. I'll come back.

We've rarely had such a wonderful vacation as we did here in Avidea. This May marked our second visit (a family of four with two boys), and certainly not our last. The Bacher family knows how to make their stay a top-notch culinary and incredibly relaxing experience. The chef deserves at least a mention in Gault Millau. The beautiful natural surroundings, the wellness roof terrace with jacuzzis, the proximity to Merano, and the tranquility that you can recharge your batteries with here round out the whole experience. We'll definitely be back.
