We would have loved to stay at least 3 days. To anyone reading this review, I recommend considering booking as a couple at the first opportunity!
From the main entrance, I immediately understood the importance of detail, cleanliness, and good food, including drinks.
CONGRATULATIONS to the managers for what they've built and continued.
The spa is wonderful, the outdoor area is VERY well-kept, and the rooms are VERY welcoming!!

After a week in the summer of 2024, we returned to the Fayn in the fall of 2025. For us, it is without a doubt the best hotel we've visited so far. And it will certainly be the first hotel we'll visit a third time. Honestly, I find it hard to imagine it ever being a different hotel when our destination is "South Tyrol" again.
The entire staff – really all of them – strike the perfect balance between warmth and professionalism. Wishes are practically fulfilled before they've even been spoken.
The decor is very tasteful, the rooms are clean and furnished to a high standard. The garden is an oasis of relaxation.
The food is delicious and varied.
By the way, it's great that there's now a large bike storage room where you can store your bike safely and securely. This is another quality feature often lacking in many other hotels.
Dear Fayn team, please keep up the good work! We're already looking forward to our next visit. Our Labrador Marla too, of course ;-)

The Fayn is a hotel where you won't want to leave. I'm extremely impressed; everything is just perfect here. Starting with the super friendly and attentive staff, where everyone can see that the people enjoy what they do. Then there's the fantastic cuisine and the incredibly good bar. The gorgeous garden with a pool and sun loungers. The beautiful, clean, and spacious rooms, the free parking in the garage, and the general atmosphere of the hotel. I'm extremely impressed and will definitely recommend you to everyone. Every gastronomer should take a look at this hotel! Pure relaxation in the modern wellness/sauna complex. The indoor pool and the beautifully landscaped outdoor pool in the garden, with its own whirlpool, are the perfect place to indulge. From the breakfast buffet to the lunchtime snack to a lovingly prepared and elaborate 5-course menu, which, for me, is already top-notch, simply wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive, and strives to ensure guests have a wonderful vacation!

I can only describe it with superlatives! The hotel is exceptionally well-maintained. What impressed us most was the cheerful, attentive, and very friendly staff. It felt like a family business, where everyone helps out. They pitch in wherever there's something to do: putting away deck chairs, watering plants, mopping, etc. Even the manager naturally joined in, whether in the garden or serving guests! We thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the ambiance during the excellent dinner. We would gladly come back.

I know it's boring to read consistently positive reviews (I almost exclusively read the average ones), but in this case, you have to go with it.
Rooms are fine
Underground parking at no extra charge, very spacious
Dog-friendly
Wellness area is nice, indoor and outdoor pools are heated, the lawn (I'm a golfer) is worthy of the Open
etc...
I don't want to bore you any further.
The staff is consistently extremely friendly and tries to accommodate every special request.
The food is far too good to keep your weight somewhat stable.
The wine list has something for every taste and budget.
If you want to buy South Tyrolean wine, ask the manager for advice beforehand; you won't regret it.
In short, if you want to spend a wonderful vacation, go to the FAYN.

An idyllic, small hotel with an extremely high feel-good factor. Your every wish is anticipated. Especially Matthias, Herta, and Roland, who took such wonderful care of me during my little mishap. The service is excellent, and I don't know who to single out. Everyone is equally attentive and extremely kind and accommodating.
The food is sensationally good, as is the pool and garden . We will definitely be back.

We stayed at this hotel, just 8 minutes from the center of Merano, and it was truly a treat. You can immediately see that all the staff are well-trained and passionate!
Every member of staff is incredibly kind, smiling, friendly, and eager to offer their guests the utmost hospitality! If you're going to dinner, they remind you to stop by the bar for an aperitif; if you ask for a table for dinner, they'll also have one for breakfast; if you're coming back from a hike, they remind you that a snack is waiting for you! Super clean! Live music.

We had a wonderful stay at the FAYN. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, there's a beautiful spa and wellness area with four saunas (saltwater, aroma, bio, and Finnish saunas), a heated outdoor infinity pool in the garden, and a heated whirlpool with views of the mountain panorama. The hotel also has a small fitness area – not very large, but it has the basics.
In the afternoon, you're treated to a varied cake buffet. Dinner, in terms of both taste and appearance, is close to Michelin-starred cuisine, very varied, and always includes a vegetarian option. The drinks menu includes many diverse and exceptionally exclusive drinks. Nothing is left to be desired. The staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly.
Using the in-room tablet, all hotel information, general information (e.g., weather and local activities), and the current status of your hotel bill are always at your fingertips. We found this very pleasant.
We felt completely at home and would gladly return.

We are a couple in our 50s and spent a week at the Fayn in September, and it was more than just Fayn . Starting with the warm welcome, continuing with the consistently excellent service from the entire team, modern, spotlessly clean rooms, and a wonderful wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools and a Jacuzzi, nothing was left to be desired. I would especially like to mention the sensationally good cuisine (modern and balanced – there was something for everyone and everything was absolutely fresh). The evenings at the bar in a pleasant atmosphere with first-class drinks were a real invitation to linger. The hotel's location allows for all kinds of excursions, from hiking, biking, to visits to Merano and Bolzano. The garden offers a fantastic view of the mountains...
We will definitely be back. It was truly FAYN.

What a phenomenal hotel. Beautifully located, quiet, and with an excellent staff, especially host Mattias and bartender Angelo. The level of service and client orientation was sensational and comprised the tiniest of details, such as a 10-second checkin procedure followed by an immediate seating in the garden with a welcome drink -- refreshing in multiple regards. The rooms were very nice and always clean.
The breakfast buffet was extensive, and the selection was of high quality.
The dinner, which included several courses, was always very sophisticated and intelligently prepared and presented and very delicious.
Above all, the excellent service and the appreciation shown by the entire staff and the chef deserve special mention.
We felt very welcome and comfortable at all times.

We've now stayed here for 3 of the 4 nights. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are fully equipped and very clean. The location is superb, the pool has lukewarm water without salt or chlorine. The garden is beautifully landscaped, and the food is definitely a 10 (better than more expensive Michelin-starred restaurants). The cocktails are amazing (only the finest ingredients are used). The owner is very helpful and friendly. Just be careful not to fall on the steps of the indoor pool. In short, this is one of the best hotels ever, highly recommended to everyone!

After the disruptions caused by the pandemic, we finally managed to enjoy a few days at the beautiful Hotel FAYN again. The warm welcome at reception alone makes you feel right at home.
Every evening, the kitchen team conjures up a fantastic menu for discerning palates, perfectly complemented by Mathias's excellent wine recommendations. A true culinary delight for gourmets.
I mustn't forget the exceptional friendliness that pervades everything, a rare find these days.

This was our first time at the Fayn Garden and we spent our wedding anniversary here. We chose the hotel based on the many positive reviews and were not disappointed.
We received a very friendly welcome upon arrival. We were personally shown our room and the wellness area.
Unfortunately, we were initially assigned the wrong room category, but the hotel manager changed it for the next day. As compensation, we received a massage in the wellness area. Everything was really uncomplicated and friendly. We can highly recommend the massage. A very good service in a very pleasant atmosphere.
The food and wine selection were truly excellent. The manager offered a wonderful wine recommendation.
The wellness area is also simply beautiful. Everything is very well-maintained, clean, and lovingly designed.
We were completely satisfied and would gladly return.

We found the Hotel Fayn to be a very pleasant holiday destination. The first impression is positive: it's not a cold, impersonal building, but rather a beautifully designed structure.
The entire hotel is stylishly furnished and offers a very comfortable atmosphere. In short: you feel right at home. Many small details reveal the thoughtful work of an interior designer.
The rooms are spacious, very clean, and equipped with everything a hotel guest could need. The service staff in the hotel and restaurant are extremely friendly, always very helpful, and often anticipate guests' needs. During our holiday, my wife celebrated her birthday – the surprises the hotel offered at both breakfast and dinner were unlike anything we've experienced in any other hotel.
The restaurant offers generous hours: breakfast until 11:00 a.m. An extensive buffet is available in the afternoon, and in the evening, guests can choose between the full-board meal or à la carte. The food is delicious, sometimes quite unusual; the wine list is pleasantly comprehensive.
It was our first time there, but we will definitely return many more times.

Hotel Fayn is a small paradise nestled in the South Tyrolean mountains, with views over the valley. Hiking and biking trails begin right next to the hotel. The hotel's underground garage offers parking and charging for e-bikes or electric cars. The nearest bus stop is just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel itself leaves nothing to be desired. It features an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a wellness area with massages, half-board with exquisite food, and a bar for relaxing in the evenings – everything is in top condition. The rooms are very spacious and newly furnished, and the view from the balcony alone is a holiday in itself. The staff and hotel owners are more than friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

To return to South Tyrol, this time without children, we chose the Hotel Fayn, in Lagundo but very close to Merano. As always, if first impressions are what determine your stay, here we had already achieved that goal. The reception staff were extremely kind and courteous, with warm smiles and precise explanations in a pleasantly new, extremely clean, and fragrant environment. The exceptional cleanliness and fragrances were also found in the beautiful room (even the double rooms were spacious) and in all the common areas. The garden, pools, and spa were very well-kept (clean towels were always available). The breakfast was excellent, the afternoon snack was truly appreciated, and the dinner was excellent. The dishes were beautifully presented, the flavors excellent, and the use of carefully prepared ingredients was excellent. Well done. Unfortunately, we only stayed for three days, but they were very relaxing, given the pleasant silence of the hotel and the surrounding area. The card issued at check-in is very convenient and allows you to use various local and non-local means of transport (for example, on the way home we used it for the Renon cable car in Bolzano and for the Renon train!!!). During this period, the hotel was frequented, like the whole Lagundo/Merano area, mainly by German-speaking tourists, but we were welcomed and treated very well and given a very pleasant surprise upon our checkout. Highly recommended!!

Although we have visited many hotels and agriturismos in Italy, our stay at the Fayn Hotel is one of our absolute highlights. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and furnished with great attention to detail. The outdoor area, with its pools, terrace, and numerous places to relax, invites you to unwind and unwind. The food (half board) and wellness services also left nothing to be desired. What sets this hotel apart from others, however, is the excellent service, which was evident in all departments and during all working hours.
A stay we remember very fondly and which certainly won't be our last.

There are no words to describe the experience we had during a vacation at this splendid location. The hospitality was classy, perfectly in keeping with the setting; elegance, never overbearing, pervades every corner of the hotel. A wonderful stay at the Fayn last week. We received a very friendly and warm welcome. The hotel is beautifully situated in a peaceful natural setting. We had a fantastic view of the landscape from our balcony.
The room was spacious, very clean, and tastefully furnished. Relaxation in the wellness area and by the pool is guaranteed.
In the morning, there was a delicious, varied breakfast. The garden is so beautifully landscaped and well-kept, you'd want to spend the whole day there.
The entire ambiance of the hotel and the team helped us truly unwind, even though we were only there for two days.
Definitely one of the best hotels we've stayed in!

We stayed at the Hotel FAYN for a week in September and felt very comfortable.
We appreciated the personal and unobtrusive service of the always very pleasant and friendly staff.
The very well-equipped rooms were perfectly clean and well-maintained, the bathroom was large with a beautiful glass rain shower.
The other rooms are also attractive and tastefully decorated.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection for every taste, and the egg dishes were always freshly prepared to order.
Dinner – the highlight of the day – was of a high standard and very varied, presented and served by the very attentive staff.
The wine recommendations and the wine list demonstrate a high level of expertise (thanks, Matthias).

There are certainly many four-star wellness hotels in South Tyrol – but few like the FAYN, where you immediately feel so at home!
It all starts with the staff – it's so nice to see how everyone genuinely enjoys what they do. That's not something to be taken for granted! The service is excellent and is further enhanced by the welcoming manager at the reception and the wonderful, authentic service and wine advice from the chef in the evening. Many thanks to everyone!
The hotel itself exudes an extraordinary sense of tranquility, so it doesn't take long before you can completely relax by the pool or on the terrace. The wellness area and the rooms are clean and in mint condition.
The food was exceptionally perfect, and despite the high standards, everything still made sense. The matching wine list complements it wonderfully.

We visited Merano for the first time in 2019 and booked this hotel, and we've rarely experienced such a familiar, friendly, hospitable, and accommodating stay.
The staff is truly helpful and courteous, something we've never experienced anywhere else. As a guest, you experience first-class care and service.
The hotel is a very pleasant size, the location is a bit out of the way, making it nice and quiet, and it has a close bus connection to Merano and the surrounding area.
The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished. The wellness area is almost extraordinary. The gardens are superbly maintained. The best part is the candlelight dinners and the recommended wines, which you can also taste there – TOP.
Our vacation there was flawless, and we look forward to seeing you again!

We spent a wonderful week in this hotel, which is exceptional in every respect. From the welcome by the host, to the support throughout the week from the very dedicated and extremely friendly staff, to the quality of the food and drinks offered, everything was of the highest quality. Upon check-in, each guest receives a guest card, which grants free entry to numerous museums in the area, free use of local public transport, and other modes of transport, and represents a significant cost savings for sightseeing.
Not only the fabulous breakfast buffet (including homemade jams and creams, many South Tyrolean specialties) and a wonderful menu selection in the evening are worth mentioning, but also the afternoon "Marende" buffet, included in the price, with a selection of cakes and pastries, as well as savory snacks. The hotel also has an excellent wine bar.
Tasteful rooms and bathrooms with loving details, a stunningly designed and cozy wellness and pool area with cozy spa islands and a variety of loungers, all meticulously clean and modern, round out the hotel experience. Drinks and apples are also available in the wellness area for refreshment. There is also a spacious underground parking garage at no extra charge, as well as the option to order your favorite daily newspaper. Every request is fulfilled immediately, and in the evening, the room staff checks in again to make sure everything is in order. In the morning, you receive an overview of the current day's program and a preview of the next day. Great care is taken with special in-house offerings such as exercise classes, etc., and many activities are also offered or organized outside the hotel. You always feel pampered.
In addition to the comfortable beds, the rooms are notable for their extremely spacious closets and drawers, and there are also numerous coat hangers. A backpack is available for loan or purchase for excursions. Another plus point are the automatic roller shutters for darkening both the room and bathroom windows. The balconies are spacious and equipped with a table and two chairs.
The hotel's location is exceptionally quiet. You can't hear any traffic. Depending on the room, you have either a view of the Texel Group mountains or the garden and the mountains towards Bolzano.
On your departure day, you receive a "personalized" bottle of wine as a farewell gift.
The value for money is outstanding; there's nothing to criticize.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel.

I booked for some relatives, who were very satisfied with the hotel, especially the rooms, the wellness area, and the restaurant service.
However, there are two comments to make:
The first concerns the lack of Italian-language magazines and/or newspapers, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber, given that it is located in an Italian town (even though it is located in the north!)
The second "complaint" refers to the slowness with which the return of documents (driving licenses) was handled, which we forgot at reception on the day of departure. It's true that we realized it after 4 or 5 days, but the management, given our forgetfulness, should have notified us and returned them promptly. The documents arrived on September 6, and we left the hotel on August 27.
I regret that these situations, which are absolutely surmountable, have put my credibility at risk.

From arrival to departure, everything was perfect. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff are very attentive and super friendly. They also take plenty of time for their guests and offer tips on things to do, etc.

And of course, we can't forget the beautiful wellness area (large indoor pool, infinity outdoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna area). It's a great place to unwind.

The name Fayn is a recurring theme throughout the entire hotel. A super friendly welcome and first-class service everywhere you go. It couldn't be better. The staff and management are incredibly kind. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The selection of breads and rolls is just like at a bakery, and there's no shortage of delicious pastries, as well as top-notch homemade jam. The afternoon snack (Marende) with its changing selection of items and cakes is fantastic. The spacious garden and the new outdoor pool are a real treat. The dessert buffet more than exceeded my expectations. :-) The appetizer buffet with its various fish dishes, South Tyrolean delicacies, lamb... you can tell that the chefs here still see their profession as a calling. It's a shame I couldn't make it to the gala dinner. Here, you can truly feel that the guests are treated with respect, just like the hosts. The patience with which everything is explained, for example, the food, is commendable. The rooms are beautifully furnished with small, thoughtful touches. You arrive and immediately feel at home. A small tray in the room with all the important information is a real highlight. That's pure pampering. The name Fayn offers more than you could imagine. The location is also ideal, nestled within an orchard. The owners have truly created something wonderful and lovingly crafted. Here you'll spend a holiday that won't soon be forgotten, but rather one that will fill you with anticipation for your next visit.

This was my first time at this beautiful hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. From the warm welcome to the excellent food and first-class rooms, one cannot help but be impressed. As a wine connoisseur, I was equally impressed by the very large selection of regional wines at absolutely fair prices. The location is very beautiful and tranquil, and the spa has everything you could need. I would definitely go back.

- Absolutely not: Agreed promises not kept, despite friendly requests to turn down the volume, background music significantly too loud, rude and unfriendly manager, sometimes grumpy staff, and a few other "little things"...
We didn't feel particularly welcome here...

A fantastic hotel, professionally and lovingly run by hosts Hertha and Matthias. An inviting wellness area and a beautiful swimming pool make for a relaxing holiday. The highlight, however, is the cuisine, complemented by expert and personal service and a fantastic wine list.

The Hotel is a wonderful Oasis in this wonderful region. With a cozy atmosphere, simple yet great and spacious rooms, a calming and relaxing spa area there is nothing that I have felt stressed out by. In addition to it's wonderful staff, willing to assist in any way there is a deliciousness-delivery of food and snacks throughout your stay that will make this an oasis of enjoyment. I enjoyed the location for it's proximity to hiking trails, bus stops even if it is not located in the busiest of streets. One can always ride the bus or car to somewhere more busy. From my side, I can only recommend this hotel and it's staff and management.

Simply everything is exquisite! Nestled amidst orchards, the hotel is a true retreat for those seeking relaxation. From the beautiful garden with its sunbathing lawn, you can access the large indoor pool for a dip. The fantastic spa area invites you to linger with its many options. Culinary highlights range from breakfast on the sun terrace to the magnificent dinner menu.
The hotel is the perfect starting point for shopping or cultural experiences in Merano and the surrounding area, as well as for easy and challenging hikes or bike tours. We've done it all and will be back.

What a gem the new owners have turned this house into! The entire house is bright and airy, with warm colors and very modern and comfortable furnishings. We particularly appreciated the walk-in shower and the large, furnished balcony with sun loungers. The 6-course dinner, which changed daily, was outstanding – as was the service at breakfast and dinner by the staff brought over from the former hotel in Schlanders. Special praise goes, of course, to "Andybar."

Fantastic panoramic views, including the Iffinger, Tirolo, the Etschtal (Gantkofel) and the Vinschgau Valley.
