An exceptionally beautiful hotel that really impresses in every respect. The Vitalpina Hotel Waldhof in Partschins is a real jewel in South Tyrol - perfect for everyone who appreciates nature, wellness, good food and warm service.
You feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The host family and the entire team are incredibly friendly, approachable and authentic - true South Tyrolean hospitality is lived here. Whether at the reception, in service or in the spa: you can tell that people work here with passion.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and equipped to a high standard - with a wonderful view of the mountains. I particularly liked the modern, yet comfortable materials and the attention to detail. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are very quiet – perfect conditions for a restful sleep.
The food is an absolute highlight: an extensive breakfast buffet with many regional products, a delicious afternoon snack and an evening menu that surprises every time - creative, seasonal and of a very high standard. Special requests (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) are also easily taken into account.
A special highlight is the wellness area with an indoor and outdoor pool, several saunas, a very nice relaxation room and professional treatments. There is hardly anything nicer after a day of hiking! The fitness room, garden area and small extras such as the rental of e-bikes or hiking equipment are also well thought out and useful.
The location of the hotel is ideal: quiet and close to nature, but at the same time easily accessible. The Texel group starts right outside the door - perfect for hikes. Merano is also not far away.
The Wi-Fi works well in almost all areas - occasionally the speed could be a little better, but that's really complaining at a high level.
Overall, everything is just right here: cleanliness, comfort, service, cuisine, facilities and atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair given the quality offered. I felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. Clear recommendation for those seeking relaxation, active vacationers and connoisseurs!

A perfect hotel for exploring the valley near Merano. We had a very nice, large room on the fourth floor with a view of the valley. The hotel is strategically located. Many beautiful root hiking trails are within walking distance, and two chairlifts are also within walking distance. You can borrow bikes for free for a bike ride along the river or in the mountains. Families with children are separated from families without children at dinner and breakfast. This was very relaxing for both parties. The pool area is very spacious and heated. The food was excellent, and the staff very friendly. All in all, a fantastic hotel. We'll be back.

We particularly enjoyed the two different wellness areas, adults-only and children/family area with swimming pools and saunas. The separate dining room for families, as well as the very spacious playroom, made the stay very relaxing for us adults! The buffet was very extensive and regional. The rooms were spacious! The entire staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. There's fantastic childcare for children, so parents can also enjoy a wellness treatment.
The food is amazing: from the breakfast buffet to the afternoon snack to the 5-course dinner, everything was delicious and of high quality. The children's meals were also great for our 3-year-old: tasty and healthy!
The hotel is very close to all hiking spots, and Merano is also easily accessible by bus.

Very friendly and attentive staff.
High-quality furnishings and good amenities. We had air conditioning and a balcony overlooking the valley. The minibar was affordable. Extremely clean. If you don't request room service, you'll receive a small gift (jam), a good idea.
Overall, the hotel is in a good location with access to hiking trails and public transport. There aren't many evening entertainment options in Rabland itself.
The wellness and pool area is very nice and partially newly designed. We particularly enjoyed the entertaining sauna infusions. However, some guests use the adult area with their children, which shouldn't be the case.
There's generally a lot on offer for children; it's a good family hotel.
The food was exactly to our taste in the morning (thanks for the delicious egg variations made to order) and in the evening.
Lovely dining area, and a great terrace when the weather is nice.
Very nice guided hikes, thanks to the hiking guides.
Good value for money, and the bar is also inviting in the evening.
Lots of magazines and maps in the lobby, great excursion tips.

A splendid hotel located in a small village just a few kilometers from Merano. Nestled in a quiet setting, it offers a complete rejuvenation experience, offering a wide range of activities: guided excursions, mountain bike rentals (e-bikes are also available for a fee), children's activities, a gym, a pool area, and a spacious solarium. We really appreciated the two separate areas, one for families (with four pools) and one for adults only, with several saunas (including top-notch infusions with Sonia), an outdoor hot tub, and a beautiful heated pool that allowed for a swim as early as seven in the morning. The food was excellent: ¾ board, characterized by the quality of the ingredients and the variety of dishes offered. The standard room was functional and quiet, with a small bathroom (no bidet) and a large balcony. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely discreet.

Our vacation at the Vitalpin Waldhof in Rabland was one of our best vacations. We've stayed in 5-star hotels many times, but we've never experienced such outstanding service, such a friendly and perfect team of employees, from reception to the service and cleaning staff. It was pure pleasure. I would especially like to highlight the service staff, who all go about their work with an outstanding, personal and authentic approach to guests, which I, or rather we, experienced as unique... always calm, always seeing everything - you can't rate that highly enough these days. 5 stars are not enough... 10 stars would be justified. I would also give 10 stars to the hotel, the wellness area, and the rooms. The layout is beautiful... everything has been thought of. Parents with children sit next to parents with children, and families without children sit next to them. It works perfectly, and there is also excellent separation in the swimming pool and wellness area. The food, the selection, and the range of dishes deserve 10 stars, as does the preparation of the food. Absolutely unique, and the fact that the water from the hotel's own spring is available free of charge all day long, and the afternoon snack, available from 2 p.m., is second to none. We've never stayed at the same hotel twice before, always wanting to experience something new, but the team at the Vitalpin Waldhof in Rabland managed to convince us that we'll definitely spend more than two of our precious vacation days here.
I haven't even mentioned the hikes and rental e-bikes yet; great service.
I never thought I'd be able to write such a review, but what's earned is earned.
Oh yes, something I forgot: the booking chat was just as positive as the entire vacation, incredibly positive from start to finish.

We were so impressed with the hotel that we extended our stay from 4 to 7 nights! And yes, it absolutely deserves a fantastic review. The reception and customer service teams are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and very service-oriented. We were also impressed by how straightforward the organization and handling is throughout the hotel. A great and quiet location for all kinds of activities, and the hotel also offers a variety of daily activities. Comfortable beds and beautiful rooms with everything you need. Relaxing in the whirlpool in the evening after a hike – simply wonderful... The daily highlight for us was the antipasti buffet in the evening; so diverse and varied – simply unbeatable! The price/performance ratio at this hotel, which we find suitable for both couples and families, is absolutely spot on.

From the hotel, you can get around without a car, whether by train, bus (free of charge), bicycle, bike, or e-bike (e-bike rentals are very affordable at the hotel, €32 per day), hiking, or even alpine hiking. Admire the apple blossoms in spring and the ripe fruit in autumn.

This hotel is perfect. We stayed there for three nights and we lacked nothing. It was very quiet and you could completely relax. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and modern, with a great view. There was something for everyone at breakfast, from sweets and cold cuts to fresh egg dishes. The coffee was a real treat. The dinner was varied and beautifully served, and the service staff were all very friendly. The outdoor pool had specific opening times, but after a quick inquiry, you could use the pools and sauna at any time. The outdoor pool is beautiful in the evening, especially for couples. We were even allowed to stay a few hours longer at no extra charge and enjoy the beautiful view from the pool. I don't normally write reviews, but this hotel deserves a good and fair rating.

We stayed in the new part of the hotel, and the room was great.
The food was very good, and the service was very friendly and accommodating.
True service usually shows up when there are problems or unpleasant requests. After paying the bill, we realized that we hadn't redeemed a €50 discount. The nice lady at the reception canceled the payment and issued a new bill. She was never annoyed or unfriendly, so thank you again.

We found this hotel through friends.
Great location: two cable cars leading up the mountain on either side of the valley, just around the corner. There are also fantastic tours starting directly from the hotel. You can cycle right along the Adige River. Pharmacy, doctor, etc., are right in town.
The room was freshly renovated (NO paint smell ). The mattresses were very comfortable, and there were blackout blinds. I appreciated the lack of air conditioning in the room (no bacteria breeding ground and no annoying humming noise).
The facilities are excellent, with a swimming pool, spa, and sauna. Each area is separated into family sections and adults-only areas, so there's something for everyone.
The food and breakfast offered a wide selection and were delicious.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
For me, one of the best hotels I've stayed in in a long time.

We have been regular customers for many years, visiting either at Easter or in the fall. The food is delicious, and we are always treated with warm service and expert advice on hikes and bike tours. The surrounding area is always a bit warmer than at home in Germany. Great excursion destinations are accessible on foot, by bike, train, bus, cable car, or car. A highlight is the large, largely newly renovated sauna area with a view of the Alps, where you can relax after an active day or, on (rare) rainy days, after a snack. The massages are also highly recommended.

Because we had a wonderful time there. We felt so comfortable; it was our first time there for four nights. We had a wonderful room with a south-facing balcony, which was allergy-friendly, which was very important to me! The breakfast left nothing to be desired. We also loved being able to get water from the spring! The food was also delicious and very varied! The staff was so accommodating; we were only too impressed, and the information they gave us was also helpful! The sustainability of the food, electricity, water, and room cleaning was also very important to us. We have great respect for them!
We checked out the wellness area; it was wonderful. Unfortunately, I couldn't use it because I had a foot injury and was therefore unable to use it!
We will definitely be back next year.

Another wonderful 10 days. Very friendly, competent staff. Great cuisine, even our special request for apricot dumplings was fulfilled. Thanks to the MeranCard, our car didn't move for 10 days. With a topper in the bed (on request), my wife slept excellently. We used the pool area and the fitness room every day – perfect. All the wine recommendations were exactly our taste. Best value for money.

Our family room was very good and, above all, had a great wardrobe (there is almost never anything else like this). It was very hot at night. There was no air conditioning in our room. What was unpleasant for us: our room was opposite the grocery store. This was often delivered in the middle of the night (at 2 a.m. - no joke) and between 5 and 7 a.m. in the morning. And the shipping companies didn't really take the hotel guests into consideration (noise)
The restaurant has a very varied breakfast buffet. The evening meal consisted of a starter buffet (very varied) and three courses, which were each chosen for breakfast. The quality of the food was good for us, but not great. The ambience inside and outside wasn't necessarily our thing. The staff was friendly - rather distant for our taste.
The wellness facility is large and offers a lot. The kids had a lot of fun at the different pools. From our point of view, it is a bit of a shame that the saunas in the basement were always in operation - they would have been switched on upon request.
The prices are good to very good compared to other such hotels.
Overall - and despite some criticisms - we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay!

The online check-in is excellent, speeding up check-in. The welcome is simple but clear.
At the entrance, there is a large reading area, with a nearby children's playroom. All, or almost all, doors open with a magnetic key, which is given to all room occupants.
Near the entrance, there is a large bar area, which leads to the dining room. The dining room is well-organized and well-managed by the staff, who are always present and ready to satisfy every request.
Meals, in the 3/4 formula... A breakfast from 7:30 a.m., and after 10:00 a.m., is abundant to say the least... Brioches, various pastries, yogurt, milk, juices, cakes, cold cuts, cheeses, and other freshly cooked items, hot drinks... Coffee, herbal teas, tea...
From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the afternoon buffet also ranges from savory to sweet...
From 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., dinner is served, with a wide selection, including breakfast, with three first courses, three second courses, desserts, and alternative dishes, plus a never-ending appetizer buffet... Immense and high-quality.

Wide selection of saunas, Finnish, Turkish, organic, hay, etc.... Some are enjoyed without a swimsuit, others with the option of wearing a swimsuit. There is a practical guide on each sauna and the correct path to take to achieve the greatest benefits.
I should point out that in the morning, on the sheet where you write down what to eat for dinner, you'll also find a lot of information, such as the weather, meetings, and sauna guides... Group excursions and suggestions for individual routes.
Pools
One indoor with a lounge area, one outdoor with two hydromassage tubs.
One indoor pool leads outside, the latter divided in two with a hydromassage area. The temperature here is warm and comfortable.
I forgot... The landscape, the structure is nestled in the valley... Surrounded by other structures and apple orchards, you'll feel like you're being watched from the peaks above. In the sky between the peaks, you'll find clouds that will stop you by and many eagles; I've counted about fifteen of them, constantly flying.
The cable car behind the hotel is convenient, as is the one just down the valley.
I'd end like this...
This place will help you reduce stress in a very short time... Everything that surrounds the hotel is part of the ingredient of this delicious cake... Which, in my opinion, thanks to the services offered and the courtesy, including the tastings, will bring you a great sense of well-being.

As soon as we arrived, we could already sense the kindness and warm welcome. Clean, spacious rooms with a splendid view. They're very accommodating for intolerances; even though I'm lactose intolerant, I didn't miss a thing .
The tree is in a convenient location for long walks along the trails, both on foot and by bike. The wellness center is clean and well-maintained. We'd definitely return for more. What else would I add? A relaxation area where there are no children running around screaming. Anyway, we had a great time.

Wir waren das erste mal im Vitalpina Hotel Waldhof in Rabland mit bester Kulinarik, am Frühstück, Jause und beim Abendessen. Es wird auf alles eingegangen das Personal ist überaus zuvorkommend und höflich. Das Hotel befindet sich ruhig am Dorfrand von Rabland umgeben von Apfelgärten und direkt am Fuße des Naturparks Texelgruppe. Das Auto konnten wir stehen lassen, wir sind vom Hotel aus gewandert, haben uns E-Bikes ausgeliehen und sind nach Bozen direkt ab Hotel gefahren.
Jeden Früh waren wir im Pool baden, es gibt eine Teeküche am Pool und am Nachmittag ist in dem großen Aussenbereich tatsächlich viel Raum für Rückzug und Relax.
Unsere Suite war groß und schön eingerichtet, wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf die Berge.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Top hotel for all ages! We arrived with a toddler (3) and a baby. Everything was perfectly prepared. A crib, changing mat, bathrobes for both, and a footstool were already in the room.
Upon request, we were given a stroller (with a carrycot), a baby monitor, and a kettle.
The breakfast and dinner are excellent and offer something for everyone. There's a fantastic selection for the little ones.
Unfortunately, there was no childcare available for us (at the end of August). That was a real shame, because that's one of the reasons we chose the hotel.

The room was spacious, absolutely clean, and lovingly decorated. The hotel room had been renovated. The room smelled wonderfully of pinewood, truly homey and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable.
Unfortunately, our night curtain was missing, or rather, the curtain rail was too short, and the blinds had also been ripped out. Our room was unfortunately very noisy. However, if you go to bed early in the evening and get a good night's sleep, it's not a big deal if you have to get up early in the morning. :-)
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating; that was very impressive. Everyone made an effort, from the receptionist to the cleaning lady. A big thank you to Janos, who served us so courteously.
The pools were wonderful, a bit too cold for me and the temperature there.
A bit difficult for single parents, as the upper pool with a view is off-limits to those under 16, which is understandable. Perhaps they could relax the restrictions a bit or schedule a set time for children.
The buffet was extensive and there was something for everyone.
In the evening, four or five courses are served, and children and adults could also choose from classics.
We were only at the hotel one evening.
Numerous bicycles were available to rent, and an impressive catalog is provided at the beginning of your stay.
A very good location for athletes and families.

Unfortunately, it didn't suit our taste. The hotel lacks the charm and charisma you'd expect in South Tyrol. Everything is modern, uniform style. It could easily be located in Singapore or the USA. The exterior is decorated in a shade of brown, like the old Italian barracks, and lacking in flowers.
Now for the individual areas:
Location:
Perfect, close to Merano, which is easily accessible by train or via the 10 km bike path. The hotel is in a quiet location, but unfortunately, the kitchen of the neighboring hotel is opposite, so it can be noisy until 10:30 p.m. The view from the balcony is of the neighboring hotel, so not so exciting. It gets better from the 3rd floor onwards.
Room:
Normally large and functional. The shower tray is very slippery. There's only one power outlet on one bedside table. The hallway light turns on automatically, which can disturb your partner at night. The toilet has a sliding door that can't be locked. The refrigerator has no freezer compartment.
Gastronomy:
Too dim for a 4-star hotel. Wilted lettuce leaves at the afternoon snack. The vitello tonnato at the dinner buffet was empty after 15 minutes and wasn't refilled the entire evening. The Kaiserschmarrn wasn't fluffy, the ice cream was so hard you needed a knife and fork to cut it, a dried-out lemon was served with the fish dish, and the potatoes were served dry and without butter. The cheese buffet was just end pieces. Minor things that shouldn't happen in a 4-star hotel. The food was well presented, though,
but the seasoning could have been better, especially the side dishes, which were the same for every choice of dish.
The wine list, on the other hand, is at 4-star level. No glass of wine for less than €8.50, and this in South Tyrol. That's unacceptable. Where is the house glass for €4, which you can even get at that price in Munich at Marienplatz (Pfälzer Weinstube)?
Plus, water is free.

Whether in the room or the hotel, everything was very clean and spotless.
The price/performance ratio isn't right. We've already received this for €70 instead of €138 per night, for example, in Villanders, Sterzing, Lake Garda, etc.

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed at the Vitalpina for three nights. The welcome was great, the hotel was briefly explained, and we were shown to our room.
The breakfast was great, although the cold cuts were a bit limited. Dinner is a set menu with several options, which you have to choose from in the morning. You start with a world-class antipasti buffet, followed by a cheese selection. There's only one minor complaint: We always had to wait quite a long time for drinks to be served, and the wines were too warm. All in all, a pleasant stay with very minor flaws that can certainly be remedied.

A truly feel-good hotel. The hotel is beautifully furnished. The outdoor pool was still heated to 28 degrees Celsius even in mid-October. The saunas, children's playground, free electric bike rental, etc., make the stay very pleasant. The rooms are superbly clean, and everything is beautifully furnished with real wood. The highlight, however, is the friendly staff. Everyone, without exception, is always super friendly and helpful. And, of course, the kitchen does a fantastic job. The breakfast is a dream, with wonderful fresh produce, fresh juices—there's simply everything your heart desires. The evening buffet with its salad, cheese, and appetizer counter is a true feast for the palate. Then there are the choice of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. A dream. We'll definitely be back soon.

Dank des tollen Hotels war es ein rundum toller uind erholsamer Urlaub. Es wird in dem Hotel sehr auf Sauberkeit und Nachhaltigkeit geachtet. Die Küche bekommt von uns 5 Sterne (obwohl das Hotel ja nur 4 Sterne hat). Der Wellness-Bereich, hier insbesondere das Hallenbad mit den selbst einzuschaltenen Massagedüsen, hat uns sehr gefallen. Auch von den angebotenen Massagen waren meine Frau und ich begeistert. Wir können dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Unfortunately, there is no cold water pool. But you can also use cold showers. The fitness room only has cardio equipment. It would be great if it also had ️ weight training equipment. I had two foot reflexology massages. Highly recommended. I would definitely go back.

Great team. Stunning scenery. Ask for Peter – he's got the coolest tours for your bike or hiking boots. Christian, the boss and chef, has incredibly delicious buffets.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit das Hotel wieder buchen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die kostenfreie Nutzung der sehr gut ausgestatteten Fahrräder.

A very good hotel. You feel completely satisfied. The cuisine impresses with its freshness and inventiveness. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The location on the edge of town promises peace and relaxation. All in all, top-notch.

Es war ein wirklich schöner Kurzurlaub. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Das Nach- speisenbüffet war exzellent. Das Zimmer war groß genug für drei Personen und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Größe des Bades war ausreichend, die Ausstattung sehr schön. Fazit: Es hat alles gepasst. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.
