We've now had the pleasure of spending our vacation at this wonderful hotel 16 times – and every time we arrive, it feels like coming home to friends. The moment you step inside, you can feel the special warmth that radiates from the hotel and all its staff.
The entire team is simply incredible: attentive, warm, genuinely interested, and always with a smile that comes from the heart. You can tell that they don't just work here, but live and breathe with passion, joy, and true hospitality.
Our wishes are often fulfilled before we even realize what they are – and that's precisely what makes this place so special. Here, you don't feel like a guest, but like part of a large family.
The cuisine is always a highlight – varied, sophisticated, and prepared with such attention to detail that every dish becomes a moment of pure enjoyment.
After all these years, this hotel has become so much more than just a vacation spot for us – it's a second home, a place of friendship and arrival. We are grateful to have found such a special place – and we're already looking forward to our next visit! ️

Delicious food, super friendly and helpful staff, fantastic views, a lovely outdoor pool, plenty of hot tubs, a fully equipped sauna, and with free public transport nearby, it's easy to get to Merano or even Bolzano. The hotel also organizes lovely hiking trails. The wine list is entirely local, and they offer excellent wine and food pairing recommendations. The hotel is not overly large, which creates a pleasant sense of intimacy. In short: relaxation in every way!

Dear Golserhof family!
Thank you so much for a wonderful and relaxing vacation! The parking garage beautifully reads "Hello vacation, goodbye worries," and that's exactly what we've been able to experience over the past 10 days. A beautiful hotel, small, fine, and special. It smells lovely everywhere, and the ambiance is wonderful. We were warmly welcomed and looked after every day by all the staff. From reception, to the service, to the housekeeping, to the bar in the spa area: everyone always made an effort to ensure we were well and enjoyed our time with you. Great tips and suggestions for excursions, delicious drinks, etc., and help with every question. We were superbly pampered with culinary delights: a fantastic breakfast, regional products, and in the evenings, consistently delicious, exquisite menus. We had booked breakfast and were able to decide every day at breakfast whether we wanted to eat at the hotel in the evening or not. This was simply incredibly uncomplicated for us as a family with two teenagers. Speaking of teens: our children were absolutely thrilled with the spa offerings for teens. A special thank you to Vittoria for the fantastic treatments and advice. The spa area is wonderful, the pool with a magnificent view. Here, we were able to enjoy peace and quiet and unwind at any time. For us, the Golserhof was an ideal location for exploring South Tyrol. The location is fantastic. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and felt completely at home. A big thank you to Ms. Gufler, Mr. Mair, and all your staff for creating such a wonderful place with your work. This hotel is simply sensational and unparalleled!
You receive a very friendly and personal welcome, as if you were already a regular guest. It's run with love and dedication; you're immediately welcomed, true to the motto: "Hello vacation,...goodbye worries" (it says something like that on a parking garage door), and that's exactly how it is.
We travel often, but we've never experienced such service, such as such kind, friendly, and accommodating staff – honest, warm, and not fake. Chapeau! There's a great atmosphere in this hotel; if you don't feel comfortable here, it's only your own fault. The owners, Hiltrud and Patrick, are always there and have time for conversations, stories, easy small talk, tips, and a listening ear. The same goes for the entire staff. It's simply a family that welcomes you as a guest. Also worthy of praise is the perfect organization in all areas, such as the room cleaning while you enjoy breakfast. Even with questions before arrival and after departure, you always receive a quick response and the requested information. Not to mention the food, which is incredibly delicious, varied, and of very, very high quality.
What we particularly noticed and enjoyed was the absolute peace and quiet during dinner on the outdoor terrace. The rooms are also very high-quality and functionally equipped. Considering that we aren't typical "mountain vacationers," we initially had some reservations, but we enjoyed this week to the fullest. The wellness area is spacious, and Renate's infusions are a particular highlight.
We could go on and on, but at this point we would simply like to say "THANK YOU," dear Golserhof team, for this wonderful stay at your hotel, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Ideal starting point for great hikes and other activities.
Excellent food with very friendly and competent service from the entire team and owners.
There is no such thing as “can’t be done”!!
Requests or intolerances are dealt with and taken into account immediately.
The various buffet evenings cannot be beaten and are delicious.
Also worth mentioning are the great rooms, the fantastic outdoor pool, the well-designed wellness area and the roof terrace with a view of the mountains.

The way the hotel respects nature, preserves its history, and strives for the highest quality is magnificent.
The hotel has a total of 30 rooms, and their variety is magnificent, so every guest can choose the room that best suits their needs.
The room is truly complete with every comfort and you immediately feel at home.
The Spa Wellness area gave me a 360-degree experience of well-being.
Heated pools, whirlpool, Finnish sauna, bio sauna, Turkish bath with salts, infrared cabin with salt mist, crushed ice fountain, and much more... a true paradise.
The outdoor activities are endless... there are 600 km of trails I love nature!
It's the ideal place for fitness, yoga, hiking, and cycling.
Their breakfast is completely fresh with the highest quality local products. A fabulous boost for the day.
I loved the dinners: sophisticated, vibrant, and meticulously prepared.
Dining with them was like experiencing art... the dishes are truly authentic sculptures.
The owners and their staff are the balm for the soul of this gem of a hotel.
Everyone is kind, helpful, and makes sure everything is perfect for the guest.

Hosts Hiltrud and Patrick lovingly and professionally run the beautifully situated Hotel Golserhof.
The food was exceptionally good, and thanks to the personal service at my table, with a magnificent mountain panorama on the covered terrace, I felt more like I was dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
I was very grateful for the wide range of services: guided hikes with Thommy, e-bike rentals, sauna infusions, tips for planning excursions, and much more. I loved being chauffeured around the countryside in the Golserhof's VW bus by Thommy to the starting point of the hike.
The hotel also offered a variety of entertainment options; the library was a highlight for me.
My personal thanks also go to all the wonderful staff members, without whom my vacation wouldn't have been so wonderful.

The Golserhof is an absolutely fantastic hotel that impresses in every respect. The entire complex is not only beautifully designed but also impeccably maintained and clean. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, with the waiter in the kitchen being a particular standout. His charming way of pronouncing Nesquik always brought a smile to our faces.
The hotel's culinary offerings are of the highest standard. Every dish was not only attractively presented but also tasted superb. We were especially impressed by the sauna area: it is spacious, comfortable, and inviting.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks. The afternoon snack, offered daily, was unfortunately rather monotonous. After a six-day stay, we would have appreciated more variety, as the repetitive offerings became somewhat tiresome. The outdoor pool is a bit small compared to the size of the hotel, but this wasn't a major issue.
Overall, the Golserhof is a wonderful hotel that I would gladly recommend despite these minor shortcomings.

We arrived and were greeted by Tobias, a super friendly and competent host, and immediately felt at home! The junior suite was a dream, with a beautiful large balcony with a lounger and a view of the mountains, indescribable at sunrise! General:
The Golserhof is a family-run hotel with excellent service in all areas and a lot of heart. The host family and the entire team are extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The hotel scores highly for us due to its good location, beautiful, modern furnishings, excellent food, a lovely wellness area, and exceptional cleanliness.
Location & Surroundings:
The Golserhof in Tirolo is located above Merano on a hillside, offering magnificent views of the valley and the direction of Merano. The "town center" is a 10-15-minute walk away. There are cafés, restaurants, and a beautiful beer garden with a view of Tirolo Castle. From various bus stops, you can get to Merano, the cable cars, or hiking trailheads, for example. This was great for us, as we could always leave the car behind. Merano can also be easily reached on foot via various routes; for example, we used the Tappeinerweg trail. Since the hotel is located on a hillside/mountain, you can always ascend or descend. We were aware of this beforehand, so it wasn't a problem.
Room:
Our room (Comfort Suite) was very large and spacious, with separate living and bedroom areas, a walk-in closet, a large terrace with seating and lounge furniture, and a large shower and toilet. The room suited our tastes and was modernly furnished and very clean. We felt very comfortable and at home.
Service:
The service throughout the hotel is excellent. Whether at the reception, in the service department, or in housekeeping, everyone always has a smile on their face and is friendly, courteous, and helpful. The two chefs, in particular, always took a lot of time for their guests. At the reception, we were able to get not only great hiking and cycling tips from both of them, but also talk about our day and get new recommendations over dinner. The whole atmosphere feels very familiar and friendly. You get the feeling that everyone works together as a team, enjoying themselves and working together harmoniously.
Food:
The food, especially in the evening, is of a high standard and of very good quality. This is certainly not a given for a half-board stay, but we really enjoyed it. A big compliment to the kitchen.
In addition to a salad buffet (on themed nights, for example, there's also an antipasti buffet), you can choose between various starters, main courses, and desserts, as well as a cheese buffet. And if you like what you like best, you can also choose a little more. The wine selection is naturally regional, and here, too, we were happy to rely on the chef's recommendations.
You sit at the same table throughout your entire stay, both for dinner and breakfast. We found that very pleasant. In good weather, there's also the option of sitting outside on the beautiful terrace.
Leisure activities:
The hotel has a great location; you can start several hikes on foot directly from the hotel or take the bus to places like Merano or other hiking trailheads.
The hotel itself has a fitness room, a small indoor pool, and a small outdoor pool. Various guided hikes are also offered. We really enjoyed the hike we took and had a lot of fun – thanks, Thommy.
The wellness area has a steam bath, an infrared sauna, a Finnish sauna, and a 60C sauna, as well as a whirlpool and a plunge pool. About three times a week, there are infusions and a scrub in the steam bath. The entire wellness area is new and very clean, with pleasant loungers.
The large roof terrace with numerous hot whirlpools and fantastic four-poster beds is particularly noteworthy. Here, we were able to enjoy a wonderful time in the South Tyrolean sunshine.

From the first second you felt comfortable in this hotel. Although this is a “luxury vacation,” the host family and the entire team are anything but “pretentious.” On the contrary, the tone with the guests and with each other is relaxed, familiar and, above all, appreciative!
We would particularly like to highlight the very tasteful furnishings. One decorative highlight chases the other. Ideally, you would like to try out a different seating option every evening. You can clearly see passion and attention to detail here.
The rooms are super modern, quiet and clean.
The food is a delight!!!
The entire staff is very accommodating and polite.

If you simply want to relax and unwind for a few days, the Golserhof is the perfect place for you. Your every wish will be anticipated here.
In the beautiful, modern, and spacious rooms, you'll sleep like a baby.
The generous, regional, and extensive breakfast is the perfect start to the day.
If the weather is bad, head to reception and book a spa treatment. The professional staff will pamper your soul and allow peace to settle in your body. Then head straight to the beautiful, well-maintained, and modern wellness area and simply do nothing.
If the weather is good, there are e-bikes for rent in front of the hotel, or you can simply walk up to the village, from where you can hike in all directions. By the way: if you didn't bring everything you need for hiking, no problem! You can rent almost anything from the standard equipment at reception.
And then feel free to stay in the hotel for dinner and let the chef spoil you. Here, the food is truly fresh, regional, and traditional.
No matter where you are in the hotel, you'll always encounter trained, friendly, and professional staff who are always willing to help and always up for a joke.

We, a family of six with our dog, have been coming to the Golserhof for many years now, and we always look forward to genuine hospitality, warmth, and what we consider to be a perfect holiday home!
The room is spacious and modern, yet still feels cozy. The sauna and pool are fantastic. The evening meal is a real treat.
The most important thing is definitely the people behind it. Hiltrud and Patrick, the hosts, are always present, and the many hard-working staff members have been the same for years and look forward to every friendly contact and every reunion!
We always book again immediately and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately, the hotel didn't meet our expectations. The junior suite was clean, the beds comfortable. However, the ambiance was cold and bland. Not a single picture, not a single flower, an empty fruit bowl. New guests are apparently placed on the lowest floor, even when the reservation and deposit were made nine months in advance. The metal roof of the garden restaurant at our feet fills the room with a constant drum roll when it rains. The price/performance ratio isn't right. A bathrobe change is charged extra. For two people with average wine consumption, the price can easily exceed €3,500. We've often stayed in 5-star hotels in South Tyrol for that price.

A beautiful hotel with a spectacular view. You feel immediately welcome from the very first moment; everyone at the hotel is extremely friendly. The hotel bar also caters to all your needs; special thanks go to the bartender Zsolt for two wonderful evenings at the bar. The food is also sensationally good. The 1400 Deluxe Suite is very nice, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and, as a highlight, a private whirlpool on the terrace. The garage is also great and sufficiently large, not as cramped as one often finds. We stayed here quite spontaneously for two nights, but we will definitely come back, this time for longer.

We decided to spend our honeymoon at the Golserhof. We booked Suite 1400, and it is stunningly beautiful. Everything is clean, and great attention is paid to hygiene. Three years ago, we visited the Hotel Golserhof for the first time, and we were thrilled.
Reception: very friendly, they showed us everything.
Wellness massage: massage was fantastic, the wellness area was beautiful, but unfortunately, it was textile-free, so we couldn't use it (due to our religion).
Food: first-class, very, very tasty. We actually had a set menu, but they allowed us to order something from the menu, which I really appreciated.
Staff and service: first-class!!
It was my husband's birthday and he received a lovely gift from the family. We've also been receiving regular mail from the hotel for the past three years, which I really appreciate.
The location is simply fantastic!

The Vitalpina apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The only flaw is the practically nonexistent pillows, which are too thin. A very beautiful hotel above Merano. There are a wide variety of hiking options in the immediate vicinity, and the hotel offers guided hikes. Thanks to the South Tyrol Guest Card, you can use the buses for free and receive reduced admission to many museums, for example. The service in the hotel was excellent; from housekeeping to the restaurant and bar area to reception, the team is warm, approachable, and very helpful! The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, and the evening 5-course menu was varied and delicious, with many regional, very fresh ingredients. Even for vegetarians, the selection was very harmonious and balanced. After a day of hiking, you really look forward to dinner! The pool and spa are very beautiful, well-maintained, and inviting. There's also a fitness room for further exercise. We stayed as a couple for a week and enjoyed every day. We highly recommend the Golserhof; we would gladly return!

A first-class and beautiful hotel (also perfectly maintained and in perfect condition down to the smallest detail), where I received a wonderful welcome and was pampered with outstanding, individual and personal service.
Ms. Gufler reserved a room for me in the afternoon on a trust basis, even without a credit card. Upon arrival in the evening, Mr. Mair personally took care of me until about 11:00 p.m., from a caring call on the way to check if I was comfortable finding the hotel to the extremely friendly and humorous check-in. An extremely charming employee (a native Hungarian) showed me the room, helped me with my luggage, and the manager even gave me a bowl of ice for the warm bottles of wine I'd brought with me – five-star service in a four-star hotel! In theory, all of this is a given in a top hotel, but in reality, it's not always the case. And here at the Golserhof, you can feel the genuine interest in the guest, which makes THE HUGE difference for me.
The hotel's location is also excellent, the view is fantastic, and they offer the best possible tips for excursions, hikes, or shopping for specialty items. Mrs. Gufler and Mr. Mair personally and with full dedication run their hotel as a family-run business; it simply couldn't be better!
The roof terrace with three (!) whirlpools and a lounge area, as well as the terrace below with a quasi-infinity pool, are absolute highlights. Add to that a fine restaurant, delicious breakfast (including humorous waiters), a wellness area with all kinds of treatments, and an indoor pool – in short, nothing is left to be desired. To top it all off, the price is absolutely reasonable for this five-star service (€170 in high season including breakfast and parking in a single room with use of the wellness facilities from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival until 6 p.m. the following day, €26 more with half board).

Discreet luxury with a personal touch: That's how we would describe the Hotel Golserhof.
Hiltrud Gufler and Patrick Mair, the young and dedicated hosts, along with their motivated staff, ensured that we were able to unwind for a week. We love al fresco dining, so we enjoyed every meal on the beautiful panoramic terrace. The terrace, by the way, has an electric louvre roof that closes when it rains – brilliant!
The quality of the food was absolutely first-class, even for discerning palates, and the service was professional and friendly.
Matching the extensive, yet moderately priced wine list, and the excellent advice from Hiltrud, deserves special mention.
The professional hygiene concept and its consistent implementation deserve special mention!

Our stay at the Golserhof brought us peace and relaxation. The hotel is not too large, beautifully situated in the hills of Tirolo with a view of Merano. We felt at home from the very first moment; the owner family and the team are very accommodating, warm, and hospitable.
The spa area is spacious and features everything from an infrared sauna and steam bath to a sauna and bio sauna, as well as whirlpools on the roof with views of the distance and nature.
Whenever possible, we eat on the outdoor terrace with a white cloth tablecloth. The breakfast buffet includes a large selection of local breads, including organic and ancient grains, homemade jams, cold cuts, cheeses, all kinds of grains and muesli, yogurt, various milks, freshly prepared omelets, scrambled eggs, local cheeses, and (very good) coffee.
In the evenings, multi-course menus including a healthy option are served, ranging from a South Tyrolean evening to a gala dinner. Everything is freshly prepared, homemade, and made with local products, from the salad buffet (including Schüttebrot) to dessert and the cheese buffet. Drinks are very reasonably priced, the wine selection is excellent, and there are numerous non-alcoholic alternatives.
For those who appreciate contemporary architecture, we recommend the newly renovated attic rooms and suites with their own whirlpool on the terrace. For those who prefer a more traditional feel, we recommend the slightly older retro rooms.

The food is absolutely fantastic! It's practically gourmet cuisine. The surrounding area offers amazing opportunities: hiking, golfing, shopping, e-biking, and much more. The staff is also incredibly friendly and always up for a chat. I'd recommend going with a partner, so it's best to go as a couple. It might be a little too small for children and teenagers to really let loose and have lots of fun. But that's also part of the charm, as it's very private and intimate. Perfect for a wonderful holiday for two with an unbeatable view! Have fun, and I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, we can only give this place five stars! We booked and moved into the Vitalpina holiday apartment. It was perfect from the very first moment. A very friendly and professional welcome! The apartment is absolutely perfectly equipped. You won't miss anything! Towels, bathrobes, and all the bed linen you need, extra blankets and pillows, cleaning supplies, etc., are all in the apartment or in the pantry! Every conceivable question was answered, and every comment was very politely received and addressed! The wellness area is very modern, extremely high-quality, and appealing! Great attention to detail was paid here, too! The food and drinks are of outstanding quality! The apartment, hotel, and staff are highly recommended! I give it 7 stars!

To the Hotel Golserhof (South Tyrol)
It wasn't bad, we didn't arrive until 6:00 p.m. instead of 3:00 p.m. because of the road closure and had to vacate our room the next day at 10:30 a.m. with 2 small children. I didn't think that was OK. The rest was acceptable.

It was a wonderful stay. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful in every respect. Our room was large, welcoming, and always spotlessly clean...like the entire hotel. The breakfast buffet caters to every taste, with egg dishes prepared fresh to order. Dinner is available either as a 5-course menu, a 7-course gala menu on Thursdays, a huge cheese buffet on Fridays, and an unbeatable buffet with a freshly cooked main course on Sundays....You can save yourself the trip to the Sissi in Merano; the cuisine deserves a star just as much. Outdoor pool, indoor pool, wellness area with 2 saunas, steam bath, infrared cabin, and much more...and not to forget the gigantic infusions and scrubs....My birthday was not forgotten either. A big thank you to the entire Golserhof team...it was simply fantastic.

I have never experienced such luxury in any other 4-star superior hotel as at the Golserhof. No other 4- or even 5-star hotel I know of compares to the Golserhof. Despite this, the owners are incredibly down-to-earth and always happy to answer any questions.

From the hotel (5 Euro fee for the hiking bus) 3 guided hikes per week - participated in 2 --> one by the hotel owner's father himself and one with Louis, the hiking guide/fitness trainer/nature expert --> both very exciting/entertaining/educational.
One drawback at the moment: There's a construction site in front of the courtyard - if you spend the whole day in the hotel, it's very disturbing (very loud) - noise from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - before and after, the silence of the Alps!
Due to the construction site, we got a room upgrade - perfect - pure sunshine in the morning!
Conclusion: As soon as the construction site is cleared --> fantastic hotel!

It was wonderful! We stayed at the Golserhof in December. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool is closed in winter, which we were aware of beforehand. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered everything you could want. The service in the restaurant was very friendly. The 1400 Deluxe Suite was fantastic! The interior design was superb! However, we couldn't find a coffee machine or kettle with tea in the suite. It was also a shame that the sauna area, including the relaxation room, wasn't open in the mornings. Perhaps this is different at other times. The massages are highly recommended! Simply wonderful! We had a great time, and the hosts and their staff are very friendly! The location is fantastic, and the view is simply breathtaking! I would love to come back again in the summer to take full advantage of everything. Warm greetings from Switzerland!

It's so beautiful here, you won't want to leave.
The Golserhof is owner-managed. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The wellness offerings and the wellness area are very good. If you want to go hiking, this is also the place for you. But if you prefer to laze around, you can spend a relaxing day by the pool. There are large loungers on a wonderful wooden deck. And when it rains, you can go to the indoor pool, the various saunas, or treat yourself to a massage or treat yourself at the bar.
The location is also fantastic. You can see the entire valley, beyond Merano, almost all the way to Bolzano. The owners and staff give good tips for excursions and other activities.
The cuisine is excellent (the menu doesn't repeat itself in two weeks), and the cheese buffet once a week is legendary. Up to 50 different cheeses, with personalized service and explanations from the chef.
The wines are exquisitely selected and highly recommended (and at reasonable prices).
I have to stop now, otherwise I'll start raving.

Our stay started with a warm welcome and a glass of prosecco. Our plan was half-board. Each meal was enjoyable. Overall, we can highly recommend here.
They offered “upgrade” our room with our expenses as we arrived. As we didn’t take this offer, we ended up a rather small room with no view. Although we don’t know what is the costs for “upgrading”, there is possible extra charge if you would require good view.

Great little 4-5* hotel. Super friendly, owner-managed hotel. Fantastic views of the Passertal Valley from the terrace, the outdoor pool, and the room terraces. Excellent breakfast buffet. The multi-course dinner wasn't for us (it's Michelin-star cuisine, after all), and it wasn't filling.
Absolutely great own wines and spirits.
