We were only there because it was part of the Dolce Vita Dining Around program. Afternoon spa with a snack... great hotel... but loooong distances to get anywhere. Dinner in a very impersonal VIP lounge. The waiter was the highlight of the evening; he was great. The rest... well... somehow we expected more for a 5-star hotel. But to each their own. Not our cup of tea, but it's great that you exist. Greetings from Munich!

The Preidlhof is a unique hotel offering the ultimate in luxury.
We arrived on Tuesday, and our vacation began the moment we stepped inside. We received a very warm welcome with a delicious apple cider and a warm piece of homemade focaccia.
The butler took our luggage to our room, and our suite was absolutely superb. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the private whirlpool was already pre-heated. Simply heavenly.
The food is equally extensive and prepared with great attention to detail, unique, and so incredibly delicious. Thank you to the kitchen for the outstanding work.
The service also deserves a mention. We had the impression that the staff enjoyed their work; the servers weren't stressed and had time for a quick chat or two. Brahim and Cathleen, as well as all the other wonderful service staff, you made our vacation a completely carefree experience. Thank you for the excellent service.
In conclusion, one visit to the Preidlhof is simply not enough. We will be back and have already booked another stay.

Preidlhof is a first class operation. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with extensive high quality facilities. The sauna tower is amazing. The spa offers excellent services provided by exceptional therapists. The food is Michelin quality - and plentiful. The staff are warm, friendly and professional. And, of course, the physical setting is spectacular. It truly lives up to its reputation as a 5 star luxury destination while combining that with the feeling of a family business. UPDATE AUGUST/OCTOBER 2025
Unique! This summer and autumn, you can use the spa tower until 11:00 PM (at no extra charge) and enjoy the heated infinity saltwater pool on the roof (with or without swimwear) while gazing at the starry sky, the moon's phases, the contours of the mountains, or overlooking the valley.
Beyond that, the spa area is now perfectly coordinated – there's even a snow room (!) and an impressive thermal bath with very interesting massage jets.
As for the other services, the cuisine seems to have become a touch more frugal. The service and the rooms were completely convincing.
UPDATE AUGUST 2024
With the infinity saltwater pool on the roof of the spa tower, which can be used with or without swimwear this year, and the adjoining relaxation area, the hotel has an absolute highlight and, to our knowledge, a unique selling point in South Tyrol. We have therefore booked a follow-up stay for the fall, as the hotel also impresses with its other excellent services. Unfortunately, the Sunday evening gourmet menu dragged on a bit, and unfortunately, due to poor planning decisions, dinner is only available indoors.

The disappointments first: A year ago, we were absolutely thrilled by the textile-free infinity saltwater pool on the roof of the sauna tower – a truly unique feature (!), so we immediately booked a longer follow-up stay for this year. However, upon arrival this year, we learned that the infinity saltwater pool had now been assigned to the regular pool area because a textile-free lounge area with a whirlpool was added this year. There are now complicated demarcations (unnecessary for an adults-only hotel) between textile-free and textile-free areas, and on weekends, the textile-free area was overcrowded, while the textile-free area was completely empty – quite absurd. We were also disappointed by the lack of structural separation between the balconies, meaning we could hear light, conversation, and cigarette smoke from neighboring balconies and were often unable to use our own. However, we were compensated for by mostly first-class service, excellent cuisine, innovative amenities, and the hotel's location. Therefore, we cannot confirm many of the negative reviews on this portal.

We stayed at this magnificent hotel. A wonderful stay.
Booking was easy and was greatly helped by the kind staff member who took the time to speak French during our phone calls.
We arrived late after a long drive; we had given advance notice and were expected. We were very well received, both by the receptionist (who took the time to provide us with all the necessary information) and by the butler.
We had booked a Penthouse Suite XL. A magnificent suite! Plus, there's a lovely terrace with a hot tub and sauna (even a heater above the swing). The suite was very clean, nothing to complain about. The only thing that could be improved was the minibar; everything is chargeable (in many hotels of this category, a portion is usually free), but that's just a minor detail.
The bed was very comfortable; we slept well.
The amenities are excellent, whether it's the hot tubs available, the sauna tower, or the magnificent rooftop pool. And everything is very, very clean!
The meals are also excellent, with a very varied selection to suit everyone. The produce is very fresh. The salmon at breakfast was a delight. The evening menu was very good and very tasty. And the lunch was very pleasant, with plenty of cold dishes to choose from.
In short, my only regret: two nights is too short; we didn't get to try out the walking or cycling options...so we have no choice, we'll have to come back :-)

We're back for a wellness and active holiday at the Preidlhof again. The wellness area is constantly being expanded, and everyone will find a relaxation option that suits them. The rooms are beautifully furnished, and the view of the valley is unique.
The food is particularly outstanding; we are simply thrilled! Like the sushi today, for example Luckily, you can burn off the calories with enough exercise.

Our four-day stay left nothing to be desired. This is a 5-star hotel.
From booking to the on-site reception, from the wonderful room to the wellness offerings, one highlight followed another.
The food was fantastic; we enjoyed the health buffet at lunch and an incredible breakfast.
The hotel's own trike rounded off our break.
We would gladly return, especially because every member of staff, whether in service, at the reception, in the spa, or on the floor, was friendly and attentive.
There's even a water menu at dinner, fantastic!

It's not easy to rate a hotel you've stayed at six times (since 2021) – you inevitably compare your stays. Each visit had its special moments that we enjoyed. But for us, it's always that feeling of "coming home."
The only small drawback is that the staff changes quite frequently. If familiar faces stayed with the team longer, this "coming home" feeling would feel even more familiar. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied with everything this time too. The entire team did an outstanding job and worked professionally throughout.

Zukhra: Even though she wasn't in charge of our table this year, she immediately welcomed us warmly and was visibly happy to see us again. Throughout our stay, she repeatedly asked if everything was okay. This made our vacation feel even more like a family experience.
Ciara, Brahim, and Natalia: They always created a pleasant atmosphere at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With their warm manner, motivation, and small conversations, they made us feel welcome. Thank you all very much!
Tania: She was responsible for our room (Luxury Suite You & Me), which was always clean and well-maintained. We were very satisfied.
The resort itself hardly needs words – it simply offers everything you could wish for. In the adults-only sector, this hotel is hard to beat in terms of its category and size, and the value for money is absolutely perfect.
The food was also excellent, as usual – a big compliment to the entire kitchen team! The scrambled eggs are still the best we've ever eaten.
All in all, you can clearly feel that teamwork and good management go hand in hand. That's exactly what makes this hotel so special. We are already looking forward to our seventh stay in 2026. Thank you for everything!

We spent some wonderful days here on our honeymoon. Overall, we can say that nothing was left to be desired.
The staff is friendly, accommodating, and cheerful. The food is fantastic. From breakfast to lunch to the 7-course dinner, everything is incredibly delicious. And every day there's something special.
The sauna tower is beautifully designed and leaves nothing to be desired. There's a spot for everyone everywhere, and good refreshments are available.
We especially remember the Kasha infusions. In general, the selection of activities is extensive, and there should be something for everyone.
We also had a lot of fun at the dance evening with Josef.
Our suite with a mesmerizing view was stunning, and nothing was missing.

Preidlhof – Luxury at a High Level
We have been guests at the Preidlhof a few times.
This hotel offers everything you could possibly need. Pure luxury.
For my special birthday, we treated ourselves to a penthouse suite with butler service. It was simply a dream!
The private dinner above the pool was simply amazing.
The friendliness of the staff is a real treat for guests. What all the people there do every day deserves the utmost respect. Don't forget that when tipping.
The Spa Tower and the entire spa area leave nothing to be desired. The indoor pool is beautifully decorated. The outdoor pools are also a pleasant place to be. Due to the size of the complex, you don't feel cramped and can truly enjoy the peace and quiet.
The food at the Preidlhof is simply top-notch. There's nothing to complain about there either.
There really is something for every taste!
Of course, all of this comes at a price. But anyone who books at the Preidlhof knows what they're getting.
A return visit is definitely guaranteed.
The same applies here:
Anyone who has any complaints about this hotel has definitely chosen the wrong hotel.

A Truly Restorative Experience, Made Exceptional by the People
We flew in from Maryland (USA) for a week at Preidlhof, and while the resort itself is absolutely beautiful—with its incredible spa, stunning views, and top-notch amenities—it was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff that truly made this stay unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The check-in was smooth (yes, we got the welcome drink!), but more importantly, every staff member we encountered—from the front desk to the restaurant, housekeeping, spa, and wellness team—treated us with such warmth and care.
One moment that really stood out: on our second day, we had a bike tour planned and rented e-bikes through the hotel. A staff member personally escorted us down to the meeting point—he could have simply pointed the way, but instead, he walked us there himself. That small gesture says everything about the attention to detail and thoughtfulness that defines this place.
The food was excellent throughout our stay, and every meal was made even better by the incredibly kind and attentive wait staff. Whether we were relaxing by the pool, enjoying the saunas, or simply walking the grounds, we felt taken care of in every way.
We left feeling renewed and deeply relaxed. To anyone considering a visit: yes, the hotel is stunning—but it’s the people who make it truly special.

Wonderful spa treatments with a huge selection! Be sure to check it out when booking and book right away. The staff are generally very helpful and friendly, but unfortunately, some of them don't know many of the drinks... the food is delicious! The only drawback for us personally is the interior, which is far too playful and kitschy. The guests tend to be older. Since it's one of the few adults-only hotels, it was fine for our needs...

This is our second time here. Last time, unfortunately, the service in the restaurant wasn't quite optimal, and a few other minor issues somewhat marred the experience. This time, however, we have to say – you couldn't have done better! Everything was simply perfect down to the last detail, and I don't think we've ever said that before, even though we've visited several hotels in this category.
Service was top-notch – from reception to the concierge to the restaurant staff to all the other employees we met. Everyone was warm and welcoming in a really wonderful, unpretentious way. You rarely experience that. Whereas the service in the restaurant was cool last year, this time everything was truly perfect! Thanks to Hamza and Zukhra in the restaurant, but also to all the other employees whose names I unfortunately don't know, who contributed to this wonderful stay. This wouldn't be possible without you. The evening newspaper and the activities offered are also a great idea. I also want to emphasize that you don't charge exorbitant prices for drinks like other hotels; it's absolutely fair.

Absolutely fantastic food again this time. From breakfast to the lunch buffet to dinner. Stunning selection and truly top-notch!
Rooms
We were able to experience two new suites again, which were truly simply beautiful. Just that pleasant scent when you walk in. Plus, that simply perfect sleeping atmosphere with great pillows, a comfortable bed, and a starry sky. Beautiful balconies. Everything was perfect here, too.
Hotel Complex/Spa
Good – you could write a novel here. There's a loving detail every two meters. We've never seen such a well-thought-out concept in any other hotel. In every corridor, room, sauna, room, and hallway, there are special scents that aren't overpowering, but simply pleasant and soothing. The entire hotel and spa complex is stunning; it can't be described, you have to experience it. Concepts thought out down to the last detail, enough loungers for everyone in great locations (a huge plus!!), great saunas, amazing infusions (thanks to Flavius and Diego, among others), and pools, and an extremely well-maintained complex! Everything is so clean, tidy, and yet simply cozy with lots of great details. The newly added cold chamber is a new highlight that's simply a success. And you didn't just add a chamber—no, you also added music and a pleasant scent. There's just so much to discover and so many ways to relax. Thanks also for the fantastic and diverse fitness area! And also for the fact that the spa is open until 11 p.m., which we used every day.
Finally, thank you for the wonderful stay and also for the birthday cake and the congratulations. Since the last review, you've actually improved all the points that were criticized (even the chocolate croissants suddenly taste good). It's also great that you can continue to use the spa on your day of departure at no extra charge. These little things make you feel at home.
It's clear that your priority isn't profit maximization and raking in as much money as possible from each guest. Rather, you want to offer every guest a fantastic experience and be a top-class hotel and spa. You've achieved that. We were also delighted to see many of your familiar employees back. It's clear that you enjoy always offering something new and striving to improve. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I spent 4 fabulous days in this hotel. Everything is perfect.
Location, services, rooms, catering… an excellence! We particularly appreciated the wellness area which is the jewel in the crown of the structure, the high-level aufguss, the swimming pool on the roof, the thermal pool area… not to mention the cuisine with gourmet dishes! The hotel and the wellness area are beautiful and top-notch! We were very surprised by the friendliness of the staff. As a guest, you are truly appreciated. The delicious wine pairings were also particularly good. The bar had a huge selection and the cocktails were excellent.
We deducted one star for the food. The buffet is enormous, and the selection for the evening menu is also very extensive, perhaps too extensive. I think less would be more here. On our last evening, we booked the Preidel Stube (charges extra). The table and the service were excellent. The menu was exciting, and the wine pairing was excellent. What we didn't like so much, however, were the portion sizes. For a 3-toque menu, there was far too much food in each course, and it took a relatively long time. In other words, we were already lost after the first starter.

At the beginning of March, my girlfriend and I spent a week at her wellness center. The welcome was very warm and friendly, the rooms are very nice and always meticulously cleaned.
The kitchen is excellent; they cook top-notch meals every day. The service staff are nice and friendly and do a great job. The fitness programs and sauna infusions are outstanding. Nadine and Kasia are experts in saunas and know how to entertain people.
We attended a TRX class and did six-pack training with Nadine. She is a fantastic coach; I learned a lot from her. She can motivate you incredibly and push you to your limits. She is very experienced in sports and is a great person.
We will be back next year because it's simply fantastic here. We hope Nadine and Kasia will still be here then.

We are actually thrilled with everything so far and very satisfied. And yet I can or must deduct 1 star. The wellness facility is really incredibly cool and very beautiful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms and the butler Alfi made every effort to implement our small requirements with a lot of effort. We were also impressed by the kitchen staff like Martin at the counter. The hotel is clean and tidy everywhere. The VIP dining area is awesome. Here you really have peace and quiet and a wonderful distance for common ground. Unfortunately, I have to point out a few points about the food that I cannot accept in a 5 star hotel. The buffet really has a very large selection, but unfortunately some of the food is no longer fresh. When I see a dried sauce on the cocktail salad, it scares me. The skin of the star fruit in the small buffets was also very brown to black, which means that the skin is very tough to eat. The Vitello Tonnato was too raw and therefore not pleasant to eat... other dishes also didn't look fresh, which I didn't feel like trying. Unfortunately I can't give you gourmet kitchen, where I had high expectations, 5 stars for these small but important comments, which I conclude with. Sometimes a smaller selection would be better, but the quality would not be compromised...

In February, we stayed at this beautiful hotel, a paradise for spa lovers. The hotel is composed of three interconnected buildings, including an entire sauna complex called the Sauna Tower, five floors of saunas, and a whirlpool open until 11:00 PM. The hotel offers both nude and swimsuit-friendly saunas. Various Aufguss sessions are offered throughout the day (even one at 10:00 PM!!). The wine sauna and the elemental sauna are unique. Diego's steam infusion is spectacular, and the one at 10:00 PM is truly captivating. The outdoor pools are beautiful, both for swimsuits and non-swimsuits. There's also an indoor thermal water pool.
I loved the staff; they were always friendly and helpful, always ready to make you feel at ease.
The rooms are super comfortable and clean. The food is excellent and refined.
Each suite has its own private parking space.
We also took advantage of the snowshoe excursion program, where they provided both equipment and transportation to the starting point.
This hotel has definitely made it into our list of favorites to return to.

Tomas helped us with our luggage and explained everything about the hotel again. Matyas in the restaurant was also extremely friendly with his calm and polite manner. The lady who cleaned our room on the first day was also extremely attentive and paid attention to every little detail. A truly excellent spa resort. We've visited several properties in South Tyrol over the years, and this is definitely the best among the Belvita resorts. It competes with the Adler Ritten Lodge, which has superior charm in its independent accommodations, but can't compete with the Preidlhof sauna tower, the best we've ever seen.
The staff is discreet yet always present in every aspect. It was our first time with a butler service, and Alfio (our personal butler) was the epitome of professionalism and discretion. Kudos to the entire kitchen staff for offering a 7-course vegan menu every evening without having to request it. Hats off!
The price, especially for the suites, is significant, but the experience is worth every penny.
The fact that it's adults-only? For us, just an added bonus.
Will we be back? I definitely think so.

Let's start with check-in. Upon arrival, you can park your vehicle directly in front of the reception entrance. You can leave your luggage in the vehicle. Afterward, you'll receive a welcome drink and snacks – great! After that, you check in and drive your vehicle to the garage. There, you'll be greeted by a butler who will show you to your room, take your luggage, and explain everything to you. Great! The sauna tower is excellent, the relaxation rooms are spacious. It never feels crowded. Everything is very clean. You can have a good sauna here. The rooftop infinity pool isn't very big, but it offers a fantastic view. Breakfast, the health buffet, and dinner are all excellent. The staff were attentive and courteous. The hosts were warm and friendly. The massages were also very nice. The gym has a great view, but is a bit sparsely equipped for a hotel of this class; they could do better. And a bit more evening entertainment in the form of live music or some other opportunity for some music, dancing, or entertainment would be nice, as the hotel bar has a lot to offer. Overall, we can recommend the hotel 100% and will definitely return. Thank you very much.

So I was a solo traveller and booked the wellness package for 3 nights. Private transfers can be expensive so I booked a shuttle from Verona.
I was in a suite first night then moved to a smaller room last two nights. Lovely rooms which were clean and had some nice touches.great showers.
Food was very good. Dinner service could be slowish but not a big issue. The buffet for breakfast and lunch were great.
I was asked to move my regular table at dinner on the last night which I found a little perplexing. In the end my original table was not even used so not sure why I was asked to move in the first place. Thankfully a solo guest on an adjacent table asked me to join her so I had a great evening.
The treatments were very good. Aroma massage and reflexology.
I put my name down for the Thursday hike and Friday 5 am sunrise hike .
However I found the hike guide made very little effort to speak English and I found it a little awkward on the Thursday morning hike. The guide for the sunrise hike was very good and made great effort.
So overall a great experience which I would recommend. Private transfers from airports are not cheap but the shuttle is more affordable.

If you are looking for Germany in Italy, you have found the right place. I was however hoping for Italian hospitality, Italian food and Italian dolce vita.
The hotel has 3 buildings, the new one is very nice , we love our modern room w a day bed on the balcony. The sauna tower is very nice w many different kinds of saunas and relaxation rooms, maybe a bit too much nudity for an Italian location. Their clients are mostly German so get used to being naked. The indoor pool in the basement is beautiful and a great joy for an early morning swim but there is no window. I don’t like the SonnenSchloss building, everything feels too old including the outdoor pool.
The food was solid, but in general didn’t wow me. I had much better food in the Dolomites in hotels of similar level. Really need to work on their gourmet offering, steaks were disappointing because the cut and grilling were not top, lemon tart was a disaster because they didn’t use butter to make the crust, prosciutto Di Parma was sliced way too thick, pasta vongole, wrong vongole and over cooked. I expected perfect mastery of basic cooking details from a hotel of this level.
Lastly the service was polite, but you somehow still feel it was cold, not the kind of genuine heart warming smiles you get from a great family hotel.
I liked about their Dolce Vita hotel offering which gives you the chance to try other dolce vita hotel during your stay here. So we went over to Lindenhof (5 min walk) for spa and dinner. Lindenhof has a great outdoor pool for swimming laps and for aqua massage which are both lacking at Preidlehof. Preidlhof however has a better surrounding and view. The rooms seem to be much better at Preidlhof and it is adult only.

A paradise in the mountains, with incredible views and a great location for exploring the surrounding area, such as Merano and the Trentino lakes. Spacious, well-maintained, and modern suites are arranged in various areas, yet none are too far from the amenities. Incredible pools and spa, a multitude of different types, both indoor and outdoor, with both nudist and non-nudist areas. The service and restaurant are worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, with refined, high-quality dishes, a seven-course evening menu, a generous and varied breakfast buffet, and a light lunch/snack menu perfectly in line with the evening meal.

A wonderful 10 days. When you arrive at the hotel, it smells like the Maldives, like citrus grass. The rooms are also immaculately maintained. I expressed a wish for scales at dinner, and when we got to the room, they were already there. It's impressive how quickly every request is met. We would especially like to mention Mr. Matteo, the restaurant/service manager. He is not only discreet and has a great overview of everything, he immediately solves every small and large problem in a very charming way.
One tiny negative point is that you can't dine on the beautiful terrace in the evening. The food is incredibly varied, imaginative, and simply delicious.
Anyone who gives a less than excellent review here should stay home.

The hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet location and offers top service. The kitchen enchants you from a fantastic breakfast to a great lunch with brilliant fresh pasta to a fabulous gourmet dinner that leaves nothing to be desired. A hotel that lives up to its star rating. Second time at Preidlhof after many years. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, as you'd expect. The staff is courteous and friendly, not overbearing as one sometimes finds in these luxury establishments. Special praise goes to the Umbrian waiter, whose name I unfortunately don't remember. We ate very well, without the pretension or daring desire to overturn traditionally excellent cuisine for a gourmet feel. The wellness area is beautiful, with various aufguss sessions offered throughout the day, and the saunas are open for business. They're spread across several floors of the sauna tower, and this is the only aspect I didn't particularly enjoy, as they require a somewhat uncomfortable up-and-down approach. Having visited dozens of "wellness hotels" in South Tyrol, my personal taste leads me to prefer a more streamlined structure. Definitely highly recommended!

Massive shout out in particular to the very friendly & accommodating spa staff (Sabrina, Pamela, Eleonora, Aurora & Carmine were absolutely excellent).
Massages, treatments, additional classes were all superb. MUST try laughter yoga, it's fascinatingly hilarious.
Gyms are great, pools are great, sauna tower & the sauna shows are incredible. My suite was gorgeous.
Food is fantastic; service everywhere you go is 5*.
I did not want to leave! And will be back soon.

I arrived extremely sick from Covid vaccine related issues and did the 10-day Integrated Wellness Retreat lead by Dr. Angerer. Wow! What a difference 10 days can make! After nearly 2 years of feeling (and looking) crappy, and seeing 50+ doctors, dermatologists, gastro specialists, and even therapists around the world, I finally feel (and look) better! I’m running again and climbing rock walls?!
Preidlhof’s holistic approach to wellness has been the key to my miraculous recovery progress. Their Wellness Menu features gluten-free, vegan, and refined sugar-free food that tastes amazing thanks to Chef Angelo and his talented kitchen team. The restaurant, managed by the accomplished Matteo, should be on the list to receive a Michelin star - it exceeds the few I’ve been to in both taste and presentation! If you are lucky, you might have the vivacious Simona as your waitress - bringing extra joy to every meal. The MedSpa team, led by fabulous Alessandra and Sabrina, is world-class and features a personalized and holistic approach to healing. The sauna tower is unlike anything I’ve seen before - be sure to catch Nadine in the Aufguss or join her for one of her fun fitness classes including my favorite: Aqua Gym! They have a thermal pool, rock climbing wall, and tons of events and activities to keep you entertained and fit. Or you can just relax and eat amazing cuisine - made to order with exceptional skill.
My tummy has gone from looking 6-months pregnant with bloating to being flat as pancake! My skin is glowing, my nails are growing and I am sleeping through the night for the first time in 10 years! I feel so blessed to have found this very special place. I plan on making this an annual event as it truly has changed my life.
Now let’s talk about the property: exquisite. (Shout out to the hardest working landscapers on the planet!). From the rose gardens and lemon trees that line the perimeter, to the apple orchards out front, to the floral gardens - all nestled in snow-capped mountain ranges: it’s simply breathtaking. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the flock of sheep (and the cutest little baby lambs!) neighboring the hotel! Oh my word! Wake up to church bells and bird songs, and end the evening with a phenomenal dirty martini from Katarina in the bar with love music and dancing!

I've stayed in numerous 4- and 5-star hotels, so my expectations were very high. First of all: my expectations were exceeded by miles, and the Preidlhof is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in! It should really be awarded at least 6 stars.
We were impressed by the attention to detail. Everything here is perfect. Starting with the beautiful new rooms, where every detail is perfect. We had the Luxury You&Me Suite. You can even listen to music in the shower, and there are separate vanities for him and her. There's also an outside bed and an inside bed, so you can decide which one you want made up each day. It's so quiet here that you can even sleep well outside.
Everything in the restaurant was perfect, too. The food was absolutely excellent, and the menu was also very extensive. So there really is something for everyone.
The entire service team was more than accommodating, especially Vivi, Martin (who conjured up crêpes and waffles every day), and Raphi (our private waiter for the romantic dinner).
The wellness area also blew us away. I usually get cold in the water – here the pools were usually even warmer than promised. Some were even 36 degrees Celsius, so you could spend hours in the water.
The Spa Tower is also very lovingly designed; there's even a small health buffet, and the infinity pool is fantastic. It was also a dream for us to be able to use it again after dinner and watch the sunset.
The beautiful outdoor pool area with plenty of great loungers and several whirlpools rounds out the excellent rating. The gym is small but nice and boasts state-of-the-art equipment.
Overall, the Preidlhof is in a class of its own. The prices are also absolutely reasonable. We booked the Porsche ride and the romantic dinner separately, and our stay was perfect from start to finish!

Especially at lunch, it's always the same and very pasta-heavy... The coffee has room for improvement. In our opinion, it's not a 5-star hotel, but a 4-star+ would be more appropriate. (Luxury is something else entirely.) We were here for 11 days. 5-7 days is ideal...
The wine selection could be expanded to include Spain and Portugal. In my opinion, the local selection is too extensive, as the differences are minimal.

Your physical well-being is taken care of. The 7-course menu is a dream, and the service is absolutely top-notch. The room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel.
It's a shame we couldn't stay longer, but it was definitely enough for one night. We even made it to the market in Naturno.
We can also recommend the Yin Yoga and meditation sessions.
The best part was the saltwater pool, which we were able to rent for ourselves in the evening from 11:00 PM to midnight. It was a dream to be able to enjoy the evening atmosphere there and then go to bed refreshed.
It was truly wonderful.
We would like to thank the entire team again for such great service.
Oh yes, and in the wellness area, there are even lockers—really great lockers where you can lock up your swimwear if you arrive early and stay longer. There's really room for everything.

We just returned from a wonderful 6-day stay.

Millan (masseur) and Diego (sauna attendant) deserve special mention; they are very passionate about what they do.

Kasia's sauna infusions are particularly noteworthy. You can feel how passionate and dedicated Kasia is to her work. It's such a unique experience; we've never had one before. What's offered here is truly spectacular.

I went to the Preidlhof for a short break based on a recommendation. The Preidlhof is a very beautiful 5-star hotel with a wellness focus. The sauna tower, like all the other wellness facilities, is the best I've experienced so far. Very modern and superbly located, it leaves nothing to be desired. I only have two drawbacks:
1.)
First, I was surprised why they didn't want to park my car. I've seen other 5-star hotels park their cars for me. That wasn't the case here, but it wasn't so bad.
2.)
The food at the Preidlhof is gourmet, yes, but by 5-star standards, it wasn't overwhelmingly good for me, or there were no notable highlights. That's criticism at a high level, of course. For comparison, at a golf hotel not far from Merano, you could have things like langoustines with champagne foam and gold leaf or honeycomb for breakfast in the evening. This wasn't available at the Preidlhof, or you had to pay extra for it.
All in all, it's worth highlighting: the beautiful rooms with the fantastic view, the service (which sometimes asked a little too often if everything was okay), and the wellness facilities. Perhaps they could up the ante with the food :-)

Price: We paid roughly EUR 260 per person/night for a Deluxe King Suite. For this price, I'd definitely expected and seen better. 150 EUR per person/night might be reasonable. Also, you'll have to pay extra for every additional order.
Food & service: good, although we'd expected better for a 5 star hotel with such good reviews.
Hotel & spa in general: nice, especially the old part. However, when the hotel is fully booked (as it was during our weekend), it is difficult/impossible to find a quiet spot.
Atmosphere: We did not find the general atmosphere in the hotel to be very positive, neither among the staff nor among the guests.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting last summer for the first time & participating in the 5-day Energy & healing retreat for 2 Spa Package. It was such a dynamic & relaxing experience filled with various therapeutic modalities! I really appreciated being able to foster a relationship with the spa staff after seeing them every day. Everyone working there are genuine humans with so much joy radiating out of them - it's infectious! We left feeling fulfilled on a physical, emotional & spiritual level - it was like nothing I ever felt before!

The wellness area is huge. We were particularly impressed by the daily infusions and steam scrubs. Thanks so much to Rob and his team for the daily shows. Simply fantastic! There are also quiet and relaxing relaxation rooms. You feel very comfortable here, too. A special highlight for me was the outdoor bed. Sleeping under the stars... simply wonderful.
I would like to emphasize the friendly staff again. Always in a good mood, always up for a chat or a joke. We always felt welcome and well looked after (by all the staff: reception, service, cooking station, sauna tower, cleaning team, masseur, etc.). One of the best wellness resorts I've ever stayed at. We stayed in a penthouse with a jacuzzi on the terrace, a retractable big-screen TV, a Finnish sauna, and an outdoor fireplace. Among other amenities, there's butler service (very helpful with any needs, such as reservations, information, requests, luggage, parking, etc.). The spa is well-equipped, with every comfort, and features both saltwater and non-saltwater pools and tubs, up to 38C (100F) (excellent, I'd say). The staff were kind and helpful throughout, truly attentive and caring. The meals were excellent, and the included lunch buffet was also very welcome. It's a shame there wasn't any snow.
Small negatives:
1) No bidet
2) Not possible to pay with American Express
3) On the day of departure, you can use the spa for free (which is actually very good), but they parked our car quite far outside the hotel in a public area and on muddy ground without notifying us...this definitely needs improvement.

Today we arrived at the Preidlhof for the second time and were once again enchanted by the incomparable charm of this hotel. From the moment you step inside, you feel the warm atmosphere and the attention to detail that is evident everywhere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome and in good hands.
Rooms and Amenities:
Our room is simply fantastic! It is spacious, elegant, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The balcony with its view of the beautiful South Tyrolean landscape is particularly lovely.
Wellness and Spa:
The Preidlhof's wellness area is absolutely top-notch. Here you'll find everything your heart desires: various saunas, steam rooms, pools, relaxation rooms, and a comprehensive range of massages and beauty treatments.
Culinary Delights:
The food at the Preidlhof is simply delicious! The kitchen offers a diverse selection of regional and international dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We especially enjoyed the varied buffets, which left nothing to be desired.
Staff and Service:
The staff at the Preidlhof are incredibly friendly and helpful. You can tell that everyone here is passionate about what they do and ensures that guests have everything they need. The service is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired.
Update: After 3 days. The lovely Simona is a gem and the heart and soul of the place. She does what she does with such passion, it's incredible. Thank you for the wonderful service and the lovely evenings.
Conclusion:
The Preidlhof is the best wellness hotel we know. Everything is just right: the location, the facilities, the food, the spa area, and above all, the staff. We are already looking forward to the rest of our time in this paradise and can wholeheartedly recommend the Preidlhof to anyone looking for an unforgettable wellness vacation.

The hotel is located just outside the village center. The entire resort is a true temple of luxury. Upon arrival, you receive a very warm welcome; you immediately feel welcome and appreciated. Each room has its own parking space. The room was very spacious, with a massage chair, infrared cabin, whirlpool tub, spacious shower, and much, much more – truly fantastic. The sauna and water area are fantastic, with a wide variety of options available. There are also numerous nude areas for nudists to use. The spa area offers a wide selection of treatments and is well-equipped. The entire staff was always friendly, extremely helpful, and discreet, which I greatly appreciated. The entire complex is very clean and well-maintained; every effort is made to provide guests with a perfect environment. The breakfast buffet, afternoon snack, and dinner were world-class, a true delight for the senses. The preparation, selection, and quality are simply top-notch! The room prices are in the high range, and the spa treatments are also very expensive. I can highly recommend the resort.

We were really looking forward to our stay, celebrating a milestone birthday, which had been announced in advance when we made our reservation.
We travel the world and have stayed in 5-star hotels, including wellness centers, many times.
Upon arrival, you first drive up a very narrow path into a dark underground garage, where the reception is located. Everything seems very dark and uninviting.
After a standard check-in, we went to our room, with a nice view of Naturno. The room was OK, but it seemed cluttered.
At the sauna tower, you walk up and down the whole time; everything seems somehow patched together, old and new. What was strange about the sauna tower was that there was a nude pool; actually, almost the entire area was nude, but the pool at the very top on the right wasn't? Also borderline was the infusion with a show accompanied by "now we're going to spit in our hands again... gross national product."
You have to like it.
The dining area was just as convoluted and cramped, a new building and a more rustic dining room, connected by a narrow corridor. The food was definitely not 5-star quality.
The wine list via QR code on your phone? Not up to par.
Crowds at breakfast on Sunday morning, it was almost impossible to get through, everything was far too cramped. Poor selection, especially too few salads, etc.
Strange pool area, on the roof, in front of a building with rooms, somewhere indoors. You'll basically walk yourself ragged.
How does that work when there's snow?
You can't get to the pool sauna or moonshine sauna underground.
And the "best" for last: the hotel completely forgot about the big birthday party that evening...
Not 5-star quality either...

Fantastic: From the very well-organized and welcoming check-in, to the wonderful, spotlessly clean, and spacious rooms with stunning views of the apple orchards (Luxury Suite Jasmin, Room 705), and the exquisite and varied cuisine, right down to the pools and sauna tower. The indoor pool is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. I'd especially like to commend the chef, Martin (the passion with which he prepares the dishes is simply amazing), as well as the sauna masters, Sabrina and Diego, with their shows in the event sauna. Our only slight criticism is that our server in the restaurant could have been a bit more enthusiastic; they didn't quite live up to the otherwise many warm and welcoming staff members.
Our conclusion: The Preidlhof is a place you shouldn't miss. Five stars are absolutely deserved.

A hotel that can satisfy all tastes, from those seeking a relaxing holiday to those who want to combine sports, bike rides, and wellness.

We were fortunate enough to stay in the largest room they had, Penthouse 1 and I don't really have space to describe it. A sauna, pool, and hot tub on the private terrace with multiple sitting areas along with the fire pit.
Outside of the room, our fav parts where the 5-story sauna tower (insane), and nothing can really prepare you for it. One salt room has recliners that just warm your back. We lived for 2 days between the steam rooms and Olive sauna, taking ice cold showers in between. After 2 days, my face looked years brighter. I think they have like 9 saunas and 10 pools. Everyday we just discovered something new.
You need at least 2-3 days to live in the sauna. *Leo gave my the best massage of my life, and I am really, really tough of massages and usually don't chose male therapists, but he is beyond words excellent. Their staff are trained so much better than other resorts we've visited.
The reception are so friendly, and everyone was so kind. Really amazing service.

The remaining amount for the holiday (on arrival) had already been paid at reception, but had not been booked or credited upon departure Luckily I had a receipt!!! THAT'S AN ABSOLUTE NO-GO !!!!!! Car in the garage, immediately covered in fallen plaster Ordered flowers (for a birthday) weren't there in the morning and weren't on the table. Poor organisation on holiday always causes upset. Where is the DOLCE VITA??? RELAXATION??? It's a real shame about incidents like this. It's not just the guests who suffer, but also the staff because of the justified complaints. What a shame, a real shame, dear Preidlhof management. I wanted a printed invoice for the entire week. I was told at reception that YOU HAVE TO INFORM THE HOTEL BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. What's the point of this statement ? p.s. I finally got it from a friendly lady in the back office who heard it. GREAT and THANK YOU. We'll give you another chance, hoping you get a response!

Finally, after wandering around the wellness hotels in South Tyrol (which, incidentally, are all at least two notches above the rest of Italy in general), we found the best of everything we've always looked for... hospitality, location, structure, services, staff, food, welcome, style, design, wellness, activity program, holistic concept, philosophy... and so on and so forth... Everything was top-notch in every area; I can't find even the slightest flaw. The price is certainly above average, but it's rightly commensurate with the level of quality, so that's understandable, and in the end, it completely repays you for the expense!!
For this, I want to thank the Ladurner family and all the staff for making us live a dream... we hope to return soon... because we're in love with Preidlhof and it will be very difficult to go back to a "normal" hotel!!! Thank you so much!!!

The hotel complex consists of two accommodation buildings, one of which is decorated in a rustic style and the other in modern architecture. The hotel complex has several outdoor pools and one indoor pool. There is also a wellness area where you can enjoy various massages, cosmetics, etc. The Spa Tower has several other saunas.
Attention! The hotel is for adults only, in other words, minors are not allowed.
The hotel provides its guests with e-bikes that you can use for a trip to the surrounding countryside.

I've stayed at the Preidlhof several times. Initially, the spa area was almost entirely in the basement.
The renovation of the spa was worthwhile and the result is very beautiful.
Unfortunately, I don't like the new rooms at all. Luckily, there are still some in a different style.
Now, after a four-year break, I wanted to book again. The prices have been significantly increased, and a minimum stay requirement has been introduced. This doesn't surprise me; on my last visit, the older lady at reception was extremely unfriendly. It seems they only treat guests with longer stays decently!
I've now booked with a different hotel and must say, the inquiry and booking process was much more pleasant and straightforward.

Those seeking peace and quiet will find peace. Beautiful and, above all, very clean rooms. Excellent wellness offerings and always plenty of space at the various pools. A very good sommelier and consistently friendly, if somewhat aloof, staff. The food is solid and, of course, always a matter of taste. So why only three out of five stars? As I said, it's always a personal opinion. Basically, there's nothing to complain about and the value for money is right. For me personally, however, it was missing that final touch...that certain something...the so-called extra mile. Why: Because the food was good, but nothing more. Because the service was friendly but not warm or personal. There is a lack of a clear host role that makes you feel like more than just a paying customer. If that doesn't matter to you and your focus is solely on peace and distance, perhaps even discretion, then this is definitely the right place for a successful break.

We were only there for dinner, so this is the only review. The hotel check-in was a bit too convoluted for our liking, and even then, you sense the lack of hospitality. The menu was very tasty and hot. The waiters (men) were rather reserved in terms of friendliness and warmth. The ambiance in the dining room was very pleasant. The table decorations were very tasteful. The salad and bread buffet was rather meager. We wished the many empty bread baskets had been covered; it would have looked better.

Next time, however, we wouldn't choose the Lantana Suite because, in our opinion, it's very old-fashioned and doesn't match the rest of the hotel.

We're currently enjoying our summer vacation at the Preidlhof.
Everything here is just perfect. There's a fantastic pool area, wonderful saunas with truly excellent infusions! The 6 pm infusions are a wonderful way to end a great day. Every member of staff is truly dedicated and does everything they can to make guests feel completely at ease. There are different activities offered every day for everyone, from easy hikes and excursions to fitness classes.
After a week's stay, we already feel almost at home.
We look forward to a delicious meal and the excellent service every evening!

This was by far the best wellness experience of my life so far. I spent 2 days here with my best friend and was so well taken care of. Am usually a "hard to please" customer but everyone in the team has exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and attention to details. An absolute must visit, highly recommend the resort. If I could share just one improvement suggestion it is for the kitchen, they offer an overall high quality, but some of the meals were very salty sometimes (most soups for example). I rate the stay as good because...
I'm losing some points because the service wasn't 5-star for me. And I experienced some good things, but also some disappointments.
It starts at the entrance... if you're vacationing there for the first time, like we did... you have to laboriously figure out how, where, and what. The complex is very large, with a wellness area, a restaurant, etc.
Even at the first dinner... we weren't informed about the process... as a guest, I had to find a waiter who could explain it to us. Welcome feels different.
The food is excellent, and the rooms are also very clean when you arrive.
The service, hmmmm... a waiter comes to the pool and asks us what we want to drink... and I want a coffee... he directs me to the restaurant... because I want to drink by the pool... I ask him for a tea... he directs me to a self-service tea station nearby that I was never shown.
So I asked him... WHAT do you offer... and then there were sodas... okay, just say so right away if it's limited... that makes you feel rejected and awkward. I experience all-round service differently... just charge for it, we're happy to pay for what we want.
Something was also strange for me... I used hotel shampoo in the shower and put it on the floor, forgot to put it back... the cleaning staff didn't follow up on it... my hair stayed on the floor too...
I thought it was beautifully laid out, with great amenities and facilities... but I didn't feel comfortable enough to see it again.
The trike we wanted to rent was already booked that day... but they didn't ask us if we wanted it on another day... the next day it was sitting idle in the garage.
We like to spend a lot of money... but to be honest, I know it even better.
Nevertheless...the surroundings are fantastic, the infinity pool on the roof is a hotspot, excellent.

The hotel is great, the location is enchanting and the food is exceptionally good. The rooms are modern and large, the hotel terrace is wonderful, all in all a great house. But there are also a few things that bother us: since a lot of the regular staff is no longer there, there is little or no personal contact. The owner family shows no interest in the guests. A good head waiter etc. used to make up for this, but they don't exist anymore. The sommelier, for example, stands out positively! But hospitality looks different for us. It's a shame, because with a little more personality this house would have the potential to keep its 5 stars. However, it feels like the level has decreased again in the last three years.

I spent a 6-day wellness vacation here with my partner.
What's nice:
Definitely the rooms! Very spacious and furnished with many loving details. We were lucky enough to see two rooms – a Lavender Suite and a You&Me Premium with a whirlpool on the balcony. Truly top-notch.
We also really liked the wellness area (sauna tower and pool area) and the restaurant.
The food from Thursday to Sunday was delicious and worthy of a 5-star rating. On Monday, perhaps because the hotel was emptier, the food was a bit lackluster in terms of menu selection and taste.
What we didn't like so much:
The service isn't as interactive and cordial as we'd like. We're also used to chefs going from table to table and gathering feedback from other 5-star hotels – that wasn't the case here.
The hotel entrance leads into a dark garage, as is the reception area, and is uninviting.
The prices for wines by the glass (e.g., Gewürztraminer for just under €10) are comparatively high. The bottled wines, on the other hand, are reasonably priced.
Why some egg dishes at breakfast (poached eggs) are charged extra is beyond us, and we've never experienced this before.
Compared to other hotels, such as the Weinegg or Schwarzenstein, the facilities are truly excellent and can hold their own. However, the spirit and openness of the staff here unfortunately falls short in comparison. For guests like us, who enjoy joking at the bar and chatting during meals, this wasn't the right choice. But that's our personal expectation...

We stayed at the Preidlhof for 3 nights at the end of February 2022, enjoying a three-quarter pampering experience. The hotel had recently reopened after its winter/coronavirus break. We'd always wanted to book another stay in previous years, but unfortunately, there was only a minimum of 5 nights.
This time, it worked out.
5-star luxury resort for adults only. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend the resort without reservation. We will be back!
We actually wanted to combine the short break a bit, i.e., explore the area a bit and relax a bit. But we experienced such expansive peace and deep relaxation that we didn't want to leave the resort at all! The helpful and friendly staff, the sauna tower, the beautifully furnished rooms with the option to sleep on the balcony, the cuisine, and the impeccable cleanliness deserve special mention.
Many useful features have been thought of (e.g., numerous multimedia connections in the room, private underground parking, towels everywhere, water, fruit, relaxation options, show infusions in the saunas, and much more).
We spent most of our time in the wellness and spa area all day. Sometimes we were completely alone in the saunas/pools for hours, and luckily, one day the sun shone at around 15C – simply fantastic!
In summary – a top luxury hotel with the best relaxation in the beautiful setting of South Tyrol.

We are absolutely thrilled. We've been at the Preidlhof for two days now and booked the Dolce Vita Suite (for four people) with pool and sauna, and we are completely blown away by the room. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. The room simply offers everything you could wish for.
The food is sensational, practically perfect. We don't understand how anyone could have given it a bad review. Of course, anyone used to canned food won't be happy here. Breakfast and dinner are an experience in themselves. We know what good food is, but we have rarely experienced anything this good. Three toques are absolutely justified!
Water, tea, and coffee are available free of charge almost everywhere from morning till night.
We have a personal attendant in our room who takes excellent care of us. He is available to us all day and fulfills our every wish. We often feel a little guilty about using the service. The term "butler" is rather old-fashioned, and the practice is hardly used anymore and seems somewhat diminished. I would prefer the name "private service" here. It sounds more modern and less deferential. Thanks again to our private service team, who do a truly excellent job!
Our room is stylishly furnished, but the smart home system is unfortunately a bit temperamental and often doesn't respond or only partially works. This could perhaps be improved, as it would relieve some of the staff's workload.
The spa area in the hotel is very nice and offers a wide range of treatments for everyone.
The staff throughout the entire resort are incredibly friendly and helpful.
The wine selection is first-class, ranging from very good to top-quality wines.
We traveled from afar and find our stay so far simply unique and will cherish the positive memories for a long time.
We regret only staying for four days and not booking longer.

From reception, the penthouse suites, friendly/professional staff, spa and the excellent food there is not really something to improve.
The only minor minor thing worth considering is the pool‘s water-temperature dring the colder season. 33 centigrade in the big outdoor pool feels a bit chilly after some time and therefore is not inviting to stay long. The 36 of the rooftop pool is perfect!
We will come back and keep spreading the good word.

I was very, very satisfied with my first stay. The food was truly a culinary experience, the saunas were truly pleasant, the view of the landscape was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. The in-house sommelier offered a very professional wine tasting, and the wines recommended to us at dinner also appealed to me. The breakfast buffet boasts a variety of breads, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, and many other delicacies. The resort is located in a truly beautiful setting, with everything you need within walking distance. In the evening, you're not only served by a top-notch chef, but at the bar you'll be pampered with excellent gins and excellent advice.
The infinity pool offers enough space for competitive swimmers, the sky pool offers plenty of privacy, and the 50-meter pool in the basement invites you to relax (with underwater music). The massages, I was told, are very effective and efficient. I personally used the TRX room in the basement, which is equipped with high-quality exercise equipment, so even CrossFit and Freeletics enthusiasts feel at home.
There's a COVID-19 testing station at the entrance, and the staff also complied with the mask requirement at all times.
The parking spaces are a bit tight, but you can rent a Vespa or bicycle on-site and leave the car at home.
I/we will return and treat ourselves to another week of relaxation and wellness. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to treat themselves to this.

The gourmet dinner is, of course, a highlight. The dishes are beautifully presented, and you can tell they're made with fresh ingredients. The soups are served at the perfect temperature – excellent. Our only slight complaint is that a port wine was offered with the main course on two consecutive days; surely there are other options available. The staff is incredibly attentive; they couldn't be better.
The spa area is simply first-class, with a beautiful ambiance, and the sauna infusions are highly recommended. There are many options and activities to choose from during the day; special offers are always listed in the evening newsletter, which is placed on the table at dinner. We were able to relax for three wonderful days.

The hotel has a saltwater infinity pool, 36C year-round and containing 3% salt, on the fifth floor of the Spa Tower, overlooking the Ortles-Cevedale mountain range. There's also an infinity sports pool overlooking the tower, offering the sensation of diving into the void. The temperature is 29C year-round and features a timed swimming system.
There's also a panoramic outdoor pool, connected to the hotel by a tunnel, which maintains a temperature of 34C year-round.

Coffee in 5 star hotel should be much better, you need to pay extra if you want an acceptable coffee at breakfast. That's just unacceptable for a 5 star especially in Italy.
Room service could be better. We wanted to sleep outside, but they didn't make the bed for it, which is mentioned as a service, as we had a proper bed on the balcony.
Not many extras, you need to pay for everything, you don't get a bottle of water for free to take outside, or a sparkling water.

A very positive experience. I stayed two days in this splendid property.
The property is divided into two interconnected areas: the modern area containing the suites and the entire spa area, and the Schloss (castle) area.
My room was in the castle area, very spacious and overlooking the pool. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower, very large and equipped with everything you need. The room also has a Dolby system with a large screen, and the bed is very comfortable.
The well-stocked mini-fridge includes a kettle, coffee capsules, and a variety of herbal teas.
All the staff are extremely friendly.
The pools are well-located and easy to reach. The only flaw is that the sauna area is completely non-smoking. Perhaps a sauna for "private guests" wouldn't be a bad idea. The heated panoramic pool overlooks the surrounding mountains, as does the saltwater pool.
Restaurant: 3/4 board, so from the moment you enter, you continue eating. Breakfast (from 7:30 to 11:00) is generous, both savory and sweet, with plain croissants, chocolate and jam, and various pastries, all kinds of cold cuts, and a chef ready to make crepes and omelets. Snack time from 2:00 to 5:00 PM offers a wide selection of sweet and savory options (the vanilla custard is delicious), and dinner offers three different menus plus a buffet.
The first night wasn't great; I ordered the Wiener Schnitzler, but it was soaked in oil; the second night, the dishes were better.
Good wine selection, excellent Cartizze.

I have to say the hotel, the rooms, the pools, and the sauna complex are simply fantastic. Unfortunately, there is one small but. For someone who doesn't earn much, I find the (few) treatments relatively expensive, and with some dishes, I wondered if someone had tasted them before or if they just sounded good. Personally, I sometimes find the dishes too reinterpreted. What's wrong with a classic chanterelle risotto instead of a kumquat risotto? I found it inedible. Or gurnard?!? I heard some tables ordering chicken. It must be said, though, that there are also very good alternatives.
Despite the minor issues with the food, we will definitely go back because now we know what to expect and what to do and what not to do.
The staff were absolutely friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is well-kept. It has several areas, outdoor pools, indoor pools, various saunas (especially the so-called Sauna-Turm is quite an amazing place).
The staff is mostly very friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff. The spa staff are mostly very good. Mixed feelings about the ‚world-renowned‘ Osteopath who seems a little self-important. The staff in the Sauna-Turm build a lot of hype around themselves. It is a great sauna but let’s be honest, ultimately it is just a sauna, and to build one’s life around it is a bit odd.
The hotel is very clean, and the cleaning ladies very humble and helpful. So is the handyman: very knowledgeable and exceptionally humble and friendly.
The food as should be expected as very good, however eating 6 course meal every evening for several days does become a bit boring after a while. One thing to mention here is that a 0.50 liter water bottle — supposedly from the mountains — costs 3 Euros. I think such water should be free of charge in such a hotel — or at least offer tap water, which was really very good.
An issue is that there is a church very close, which bells toll several times a day. This is not ideal if one is wishing to sleep in and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. The insulations between the rooms, especially the ones above, also left quite a lot to wish for, and one could hear the persons above with every step they took.
These are really the most detrimental issues which we will keep in mind if we go there again or not.
Otherwise the hotel is quite close to both Merano as well as Bolzano (definitely worth a visit!).
We spent 9 nights at the hotel, perhaps 6 or 7 is enough.

Due to the many very positive reviews, we don't want to repeat them.
Therefore, we would like to offer some critical observations that are missing from the numerous reviews we've read, in order to gain a more objective overall impression.
Hotel Complex
The new building housing the reception and restaurant is not an architectural masterpiece. Upon arrival, one gets the impression of a sanatorium. The entrance and reception area are somewhat dark and located in the basement with direct access to the underground parking garage, which lacks visitor parking spaces. Each of the three buildings – the main building, the spa tower, and the small castle – has its own distinct architectural style. The furniture in the small castle, the restaurant, and the underground connecting corridors appears to be from a different era than that in the main building.
Hygiene
There is a temperature screening station at the hotel entrance. Unfortunately, it is not monitored whether every guest measures their temperature upon entry, nor is this recorded or noticed by staff.
In the restaurant, the area around the show cooking station is very cramped and practically besieged by guests at breakfast and lunch. It's incomprehensible why this is permitted under the safety protocols. Each guest could simply state their order to the waitstaff at their table, and the food would be served accordingly.
Several room types have their own whirlpool. It's questionable whether these are cleaned additionally between guests. We had the impression that the water was stagnant when we opened the cover.
3 toques of gourmet cuisine – grand words that we experienced in no way. Whether due to COVID-19 and cost-cutting measures, or for whatever reason, breakfast included the cheapest cold cuts, sausage, and salmon, as well as so-called organic eggs that were barely edible. The same cold cuts were available at every meal, every day. Lunch consisted of one or two simple hot dishes, including pasta with tomato sauce, gnocchi, and cheese dumplings. This pattern repeated itself after only two or three days. The food served for dinner was very inexpensive. For example, the menu for the gala dinner featured a young pig – specifically, pork tenderloin. The fish options were sea bream or cod – the most sophisticated of the offerings. Overall, one got the impression that the food, salads, and cakes were partly pre-prepared or semi-finished products from a wholesale market, comparable to Aldi or Lidl quality. There was no sign of a three-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Staff: We had to get the missing chairs for the table ourselves, and the staff just stood by and watched. There was no lifeguard in the pool area, who would also be responsible for towels, opening and setting up sun umbrellas. Whether the word "deluxe" is appropriate under these circumstances is questionable.
Conclusion: It's difficult to assess whether our expectations of a five-star hotel were simply unrealistic due to the time we had, or whether the Preidlhof still has much room for improvement and is raising hopes that have considerable potential for development.

A superb experience in every way, complete pampering at this high-end hotel.
The property is located in Naturno, a small town in the Venosta Valley, surrounded by apple orchards and set back from the main road, slightly elevated, at the foot of the mountains.
The surrounding area offers both self-guided excursions (just take the nearby cable car to climb the mountains and hike at high altitude) and excursions organized by the hotel.
For this purpose, the hotel provides guides, maps, and very friendly and helpful staff.
Worth noting is the free use of city and mountain bikes, scooters, and quads.
The property is divided into three blocks: the central building, where we stayed, houses the reception, the restaurant, and the modern, brightly colored rooms.
The second building, with the more classic-style rooms, is connected by an underground passage and separated from the first by the pool and park.
The pool is large and also features a (admittedly small) FKK area for sunbathing without a swimsuit. The two areas are separated by a small waterfall.
The third facility is the Sauna Tower, a building divided into several classic and aromatherapy saunas, a very large Turkish bath, relaxation rooms, and, last but not least, a panoramic saline rooftop pool, also accessible for guests. Kudos to the management of the sauna area, where the rules for use are clearly displayed in both Italian and German (no underwear in the sauna, to be clear).
The 3/4 board option is actually full board; the afternoon buffet is varied and plentiful. The same goes for breakfast and dinner, with high-quality dishes.
To conclude, I found the facility to be in excellent condition and spotlessly clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful (the waiters were extremely kind).
All this wonderful facility is priced at a moderately high rate, but perfectly in line with the offerings and the quality.
PS: The hotel is adults only, a great choice, relaxation is guaranteed.

The welcome was very friendly; we were greeted with a welcome drink, and our luggage was brought to our room, and we were shown everything we needed.
The room was the perfect size, and the private whirlpool in the room was beautiful. The waterfall shower in the bedroom was the highlight for me.
The best part was the sauna tower. There were a lot of people in the hotel, but we were almost alone in the sauna; everything was beautifully spread out.
The 7-course dinner menu was delicious; I don't think I've ever had such fine, tender venison.
The service at dinner was very friendly, and the courses were tailored to our wishes, both in terms of timing and selection.
I also thought the breakfast was great, and it had a huge selection of everything your heart could desire. Unfortunately, I only stayed for a short time this time, but I would love to go again.

Check-in, with its covered parking and welcome aperitif, demonstrates the attention to detail.
The room in the "Sonnenschlössl" (Sun Castle) offered a magnificent view but was very noisy, which is presumably not the case in the main building.
It's a shame, because the hotel places great importance on its guests' sleep and offers a wide selection of mattresses and pillows designed to promote restful sleep.
The sauna area is impressive, and the show infusions are a hit!
Numerous wellness and sports activities ensure there's never a dull moment.
You should definitely keep moving, as the generous breakfast buffet is surpassed by lunch, and the seven-course dinner is the crowning glory.
It's not about quantity, but rather the countless little details that make each meal an experience.

The spa area is really good, with a wide variety of options. The separate "Wellness Tower" is unique. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and the rooms are good with views.
Unfortunately, the cuisine doesn't live up to the hotel's promises. The so-called 7-course gourmet menu consists of:
1st course: Salad from the buffet,
2nd course: Appetizer selection from the buffet, which appears to be recycled from the previous day's menu.
3rd course: Soup, served at the table,
4th course: Intermediate course, served at the table,
5th course: Main course, served at the table,
6th course: Fruit and cheese from the buffet,
7th course: Dessert, served at the table.
In short: you have to get three of the "seven" courses yourself, and suddenly it's as chaotic as a mid-range hotel.
Whether it's truly "gourmet" cuisine is certainly a matter of taste, but in my opinion, it's more like nicely presented hotel fare where everything is recycled.
For this reason, the price-performance ratio is also unacceptable.
Speaking of price:
An extra 3 euros are charged for half a liter of carbonated tap water on top of dinner. You can't drink it fast enough to keep up with the refills...

All hotel staff, from reception to the chambermaids and sauna staff, were always friendly and very accommodating.
The rooms were in a class of their own, very large, and always perfectly cleaned. Unfortunately, you always had to wait a bit for the next course in the restaurant, but the food was always delicious and truly excellent. Unfortunately, you sit a bit close together in the restaurant, so you always have to overhear your neighbors' conversations, which was a bit annoying. The buffet was also always very crowded, and simply getting your food was often impossible because you had to get past several people.
However, these are the only criticisms of this hotel, and that's really nitpicking at a very high level. Not only were all the dishes from the buffet simply delicious, but the restaurant staff were also always very efficient. Since there are no children in the hotel, we were able to enjoy our time and the peace and quiet. We returned from our vacation feeling deeply relaxed and would recommend this hotel to any wellness lover. It more than deserves five stars, and if there were a sixth, I would give it to this hotel.

A top-notch hotel dedicated to those seeking absolute relaxation. Families and children are not allowed, but it's the perfect choice for those seeking a romantic experience as a couple. Heated pools, a gym, whirlpools, a spectacular wellness center, all suites, and top-notch services. The only drawback, at least in my opinion (and therefore my subjective opinion), is the conceptual cuisine, which emphasizes aesthetics rather than substance. But given everything the Preidlhof offers, this is a minor complaint. In my opinion, there are only two hotels in South Tyrol that can truly be considered top-notch, and the Preidlhof is one of them. It's certainly very expensive for Italians, which also explains why the majority of guests come from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

We slept very well in the rooms, with the option of adjusting the mattresses to a firmer or softer setting. A large flat-screen TV and a whirlpool on the balcony were available. The shower was spacious with various showerheads. There were two vanities and a separate toilet.
The service was very good. The staff were very accommodating with questions, requests, and complaints.
The breakfast buffet was very extensive with a variety of fine breads, jams,
fruit, ham, salami, salmon, and eggs.
The dinner menu is varied, with a different choice every evening.
The cheese buffet is wonderful. The table settings at dinner are always different. The wine list has a wide selection.
The fitness, wellness, and pool facilities are spacious, expansive, and truly great for relaxation. The Med SPA and SPA treatments are professional. Entertainment with beautiful music.

A top-class adults-only wellness resort. Very friendly and professional staff, a recently constructed building, and a diverse range of saunas and treatments are just some of the factors that make this hotel unique.
The highlight of the Preidlhof is the spa tower, six floors dedicated entirely to spa, wellness, and relaxation. Several sauna infusions take place daily in the six saunas, and afterward, you can unwind in one of the many relaxation rooms or swim laps in the rooftop sky pool.
Dinner consists of seven courses, after which you'll certainly return to your room feeling satisfied. The salad and antipasti buffet changes daily and is themed. The waiters are very professional and always have the right explanation ready. The sommelier's recommendations for each course always perfectly suited my taste.
In summary, we are very impressed with this resort, a luxury hotel in the truest sense of the word.

The facility is adequate for its star rating, but the service isn't. At other hotels, we've found ourselves having our bags dropped off in the room while enjoying a welcome drink, but here we only had an aperitif. There's room for improvement. As for the room (welcoming and functional, considering the facility), the wellness center is comfortable, except for the white relaxation room, where the mattresses are uncomfortable and a bit worn. The pools are well-heated and never crowded. Spacious saunas. There's a gym with an instructor. I wasn't particularly impressed with the table service or the food. The staff struggled to find the food we ordered (they sent it back four times), and they rarely came, so the waits were quite long. Perhaps they weren't very personable or organized. As for the cuisine, a Mediterranean evening featured show cooking, with clams and mussels that had been pre-prepared for a while, so they were a bit tough. The wine selection is extensive, but some seem overpriced, triple the cellar prices. Tap water costs €3 for half a liter, but is that a miracle?

It was a unique vacation. The spa was fantastic, the staff was competent and worthy of a 5-star hotel.

A beautiful wellness hotel in South Tyrol. In this hotel, you can leave everyday life behind and completely relax. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Romantic Suite You & Me, which is located in the new building. The room has modern furnishings. In the Jungbrünnl Spa, you can book almost everything from massages to beauty treatments. The large pool area has something for every taste. Two heated outdoor pools, a heated sports pool, a non-heated pool, and an indoor pool. There are several saunas and steam baths, all in the nude area. The food is prepared to the highest standards. The morning starts with the extensive breakfast buffet, in the afternoon there is a vitality buffet, and in the evening there is a multi-course gourmet dinner. The Preidelgof is a hotel that I can highly recommend. The price-performance ratio is right.

After renovations, this stylish, modern hotel offers everything today's guests desire. Probably the best sauna area in this category. Staff are attentive and friendly. Almost all wishes are fulfilled. Rooms are modern, clean, and furnished with every bell and whistle.
Unfortunately, for us as long-time customers, the hotel has lost a lot of its regional charm with the renovation of the main building. Modern, but easily interchangeable. A questionable color scheme for our taste – lots and lots of pink.
The cuisine has lost a bit of its creativity since the award, but is still of a high standard. The chef's specials become boring from the second day onwards and should be more varied. The cakes in the afternoon are good quality, but obviously factory-made. It's very nice that all coffee varieties and soft drinks are free in the afternoon.
It's completely unacceptable that guests in the new, high-priced rooms can be identified by their exclusive, differently colored bathrobes. Do you seriously want a two-class society on vacation?!? Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for us (no envy), and we'll probably have to look for a more relaxed 4+S hotel.
The Preidlhof 2015 would have received 5 stars from us.

A successful conversion, even if we prefer the rooms in the Sonnenschlössl. A lot of money has been invested in recent years, e.g. in the construction of the SpaTower. It is pleasing that these investments benefit the guest and are not designed for a return on investment.
Oh yeah food. Staff and rooms are great. We'll be back.

Wonderful hotel.... adult only, if you seek quietness, that's the place to be. Large, comfortable rooms with WLAN and SAT TV, Garage. Extraordinary breakfast and dinner, a lot of stuff to rent out (bicycles, Vespas, Porsche convertibles) and one of the best wellness areas I've ever seen. Many massages to chose from, everything very stylish, no wishes left open.... certainly not the last time we've spent there :-)

A dream wellness vacation. You receive a very friendly welcome at reception and immediately feel at home. The rooms are very nice and smell so wonderfully of lemon. You can find everything your heart desires in this hotel. You should take the time to explore the entire hotel. There are lovingly decorated corners, staircases, etc. throughout the hotel. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always has a smile on their faces. The food is delicious, and the tables are always beautifully decorated. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is the fourth time we've returned to the Preidlhof to celebrate our wedding anniversary! As always, we were absolutely thrilled!
The hotel is beautifully situated with an unobstructed view of the Vinschgau Valley. The rooms themselves are always lovingly decorated, and fresh flowers are everywhere. Upon arrival, you are greeted at reception with a glass of Prosecco. Our room consisted of two rooms, plus a large balcony with a table and two comfortable loungers. The view of the pool, the lawn, and the mountains was magnificent! Since we had great weather, we were able to enjoy the excellent food every evening, followed by an aperitif on the wonderful terrace. The sauna and spa area are a dream. The guided sauna infusions are excellent. We especially love the generous pool opening hours from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the outdoor sauna from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
