A beautiful hotel in a prime location, it will fulfill your every wish, be it food, drinks, rooms, or anything else you need. If it's possible, it will be catered for!
If you're unhappy here, you probably won't have anything at home!!

It was a special stay, the treatment was very high-class and respectful from everyone, especially since they are Arabs and Muslims, they were very considerate of everyone, they provided us with all the help we asked for and more. Our stay was 3 nights and we liked the place so much that we stayed 3 more nights. Note that most of the food products are made by them and we liked this even more. I recommend this hotel for its distinguished location to all the tourist villages and cities in northern Italy.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised here: The breakfast was incredibly varied – significantly more than you'd expect from many 4-star hotels. Dinner was also consistently delicious and impressed every day. Definitely a culinary highlight!
Service & Friendliness:
The reception at check-in was very friendly – the lady at the front desk shone with lots of tips and genuine warmth. Unfortunately, this didn't continue in the following days: When other employees were at the reception, I felt more like I was disturbing them. In the restaurant, on the other hand, the staff were always cheerful, attentive, and friendly – there was nothing to complain about.
Wellness & Fitness:
The wellness area is huge and truly leaves nothing to be desired – a real plus for anyone seeking relaxation.
The fitness area, on the other hand, is – as in many hotels – more of a symbolic presence. Anyone looking for serious exercise won't be happy here.
Rooms:
The rooms were clean and functionally equipped. I particularly liked the sustainable principle: cleaning and towel changes on request – a modern approach. However, the overall amenities weren't quite as modern as I would have expected for a 4-star hotel.
The shower, for example, wasn't floor-level, which is a minor drawback in terms of comfort. Positives: Electronic blinds on the window and a hiking backpack provided for your stay – very practical.

Conclusion:
The Bacherhof offers plenty of light – especially during breakfast, dinner, the wellness area, and service in the restaurant. A few minor things – such as the inconsistent behavior at the reception or the not-quite-contemporary room furnishings – mar the overall impression somewhat, but not dramatically.
If you value good food, relaxation, and beautiful surroundings, you'll be in good hands here. The stay was pleasant – with a few minor deductions in the B grade.

For us, the Bacherhof is a very family-friendly hotel, one we, like many other guests, enjoy returning to time and time again. The owners, the Pächter family, offer several room categories to suit your personal preferences. Top-notch service thanks to very friendly staff in all areas. The wellness treatments are highly recommended. Beautiful indoor and outdoor areas. Plenty of parking options. From Mühlbach, it's about a 10-minute drive up the mountain. From here, you'll find some of the best views of the Pustertal Valley and a good starting point for reaching other locations in Maranza and Mühlbach (supermarket, gondola, skiing, etc.). A good selection of wines and cheeses is also available. An insider tip is the dessert buffet and the "Meeting with the Schnauzer" (i.e., the on-site wine tasting).

I recently visited the Bacherhof with my cousin and we immediately felt very comfortable with the warm welcome. The rooms were great and we really liked the inviting SPA area with the wonderful view. My facial was very professional and pleasant. I eat a plant-based diet and have some allergies, but that wasn't a problem here at all, I ate wonderfully and the support everywhere was very friendly and accommodating. The hosts Patrizia and Thomas are great and you get the feeling that they and their team are pulling together.
I will definitely come back, thank you very much for everything.

We've been staying here for several years, and every stay is a unique experience. There's no shortage of warmth or culinary delights (I don't understand some of the reviews here). The hotel is family-run, and everyone who works here is extremely friendly. The rooms are top-notch, the food is excellent. Special requests are naturally fulfilled, and seconds, if desired, are never a problem... all we can say is... for us, the best wellness hotel and the best operators.

I stayed at the Hotel Bacherof in Maranza, located in a truly panoramic position offering splendid views of the surrounding valley. The welcome was warm, and the staff was very kind and helpful.
The hotel is a few years old, but well-maintained: the common areas and rooms are clean and well-kept. Our room was spacious, although the furnishings were a bit dated. The shower/tub, in particular, could use an update. Many of the towels were worn with holes (some quite large).
Regarding the dinner service, I expected more from a 4-star hotel. Arriving shortly after opening, I found the buffet already largely empty and not always replenished. This led us to dine out on our last evening. The bar service was decent, although snacks like chips were missing; they were only available upon request.
We took advantage of the e-bike rental service and were pleased: the bikes were in excellent condition and the price was fair. The wellness area, overall, is welcoming. I enjoyed the eucalyptus-infused Turkish bath, while the other Turkish bath seemed a bit dated and worn. The saunas, however, were very beautiful, well-maintained, and had pleasant aromas.
The indoor pool is adequate, but I didn't use the outdoor pool because the water was too cold for my taste.
In conclusion, the Hotel Bacherof certainly has its strengths, especially its location and hospitality, but some services could be improved to better meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel.

The hotel is located in a charming village ideal for walks and bike rides (bikes can be rented directly at the hotel). It's close to two funiculars that take you to high altitudes, leading to trails and mountain pastures. The dining room staff is attentive, helpful, and very friendly. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked with both sweet and savory options. Afternoon snacks consist of almost nothing but dessert and soup. The dinner buffet is excellent, but you have to arrive as soon as it opens, otherwise you risk missing out. My room was a bit small, classic Tyrolean style, but very clean and with a large window that allowed for a view of the landscape. The spa features relaxation areas, sensory showers, saunas, a Turkish bath, and herbal teas. The only drawback of this hotel is the pool: the indoor one is small and in an ancient Greek style, which has little to do with Tyrol. The outdoor one is isolated from the hotel, and the water is cold—very cold! A typical pool found in seaside hotels... unfortunately!!!

A super nice hotel, cozy, with very friendly and attentive staff. Fair value for money, beautiful, very clean, and quiet rooms, comfortable beds, a superbly delicious evening menu – and more than enough of it. Excellent breakfast – a huge selection at the buffet plus various freshly prepared egg dishes. In my opinion, the wine tasting is almost too cheap for the selection of exceptional wines and cheeses on offer.
Reviews that mention the absence of cotton swabs, the price for dogs being too high, or the lighting in the restrooms aren't to be taken seriously. The only thing that's annoying is really just some of the other guests...

The food portions were very poor, and I would also consider the lighting in the hallways to the rooms to be poor. There are no restrooms on the same floor as the restaurant/breakfast room. I've noticed this in other hotels as well.

We received a super friendly welcome and were truly pampered in every way; our every wish was fulfilled. The room offered a magnificent panoramic view and was comfortably furnished. Since we were there for 14 days, it never felt too long; we could have easily extended our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and always up for a laugh. The owners are very down-to-earth and friendly. We would love to come back. A huge compliment and thank you to the kitchen and to Thomas, who also made every request possible and gave us fantastic recommendations

An excellent establishment, immaculately maintained, with a high-quality atmosphere and excellent management by the owner and staff, both in terms of housekeeping and service. Professionals, always smiling and available to help. I truly congratulate everyone on the excellent cuisine, where the chef creates original dishes using local ingredients. There are also children's menus and a breakfast offering a wide variety of options, from local cheeses and cured meats to scrambled eggs and croissants, all of which are top-quality.

A relaxing Ferragosto week. The property is well-located for various walks and excursions. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The wellness area is large and well-equipped (the masseuses are also excellent). The pool is sunny all day until 7:00 PM!
The menu is good and high-quality, with a choice of meat and fish. The wait staff is fast and attentive. Be prepared to enjoy some fantastic desserts!

I don't know when we were last welcomed so warmly and lovingly into a hotel. You can feel the warmth of the Pichler family business through and through. The food is truly unbeatable, and everything from breakfast to cake and the multi-course dinner in the evening is fantastic. The only thing is that the 7:00 p.m. dinner, which consists of several courses, is a bit late for small children. Landlord Toni's wine selection is always excellent and the prices are more than reasonable. The wellness area of this beautiful hotel is an absolute highlight and invites you to relax. The private ski bus takes you reliably to the valley station or the beginners' hill for the ski school kids in just a few minutes. We as a family will definitely be coming back. Best wishes from the Ruhr area :)!

This was our first time at the Bacherhof and we quickly felt very comfortable. We traveled with one baby and one toddler and were a bit intimidated at first, as there were no other children in the hotel. From the very first moment, everyone at this wonderful hotel was dedicated to ensuring our children's well-being. Our children were allowed into the restaurant 30 minutes before dinnertime so they could go to bed on time, and we could enjoy a relaxing evening meal as a couple without stress. The baby food was prepared every evening upon request, just like at home, and the children's meals were always wonderful. Not to mention the evening menu, simply fantastic.
The indoor and outdoor pools are fantastic, surrounded by fascinating flowerbeds and an incredible herb garden. A lot of love has gone into every corner here!
We spent a wonderful week and really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the wonderful ambiance.

We stayed from September 10th to 17th, beautiful and well-kept structure, very kind and very prepared reception girls make you feel at ease immediately, the rooms are beautiful spacious and clean, breathtaking view, excellent gourmet cuisine, large buffet for breakfast and before dinner, two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor (the only flaw is freezing water) excellent holiday for relaxing you can easily reach other places in the Pusteria Valley such as Brunico San Candido Dobbiaco!! I must say that we had a very good time!! Only flaw were the drinks or simply still water very high prices (still water from 0.75 price 4.60 )!! All the staff were very kind, prepared and attentive (impeccable waiters/waitresses) we were a little annoyed by the attitude of the hotel owner who continually refilled your glass to make you drink more! From our point of view in a practically perfect hotel this thing was a bit out of place!! In any case, beautiful holiday!!

We've rarely experienced such a great hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and spacious, and the balconies have a fantastic view.
The multi-course evening menus leave nothing to be desired, as do the breakfast buffet and the afternoon snack.
Paul will drive you to the ski lift in the morning and pick you up again in the afternoon. There's also a public bus that stops right in front of the hotel entrance.
It's a 10-minute walk to the village or the lift, but don't wear ski boots... :)
We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to it. :)

Assistance with excursions went beyond what you'd normally expect, adequate portions, and a buffet that risked indigestion because everything was too tempting. The best hotel we've found, better than others considered higher category. For us, everything was excellent. The price was fair, and perhaps even good for everything we enjoyed.

The food is high quality, and what we particularly liked was that the afternoon snack is served from, I believe, 2 pm to 5 pm! Unlike other hotels where it's only for an hour and is then overrun.
Apart from dinner, we often felt like we were (almost) alone in the hotel. The spa area, in particular, was fantastic and never crowded. There's a choice of various saunas.
Also worth mentioning is the free Alpencard, available upon request, which allows you to use the surrounding cable cars free of charge.
We'd love to come back again...

Hotel Bacherhof is simply fantastic for a truly relaxing holiday.
The hotel's ambiance, the food, and the wellness area with its indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, and relaxation zones are all exceptionally wonderful!

A delightful and very well-maintained property located near Maranza, close to the cable car.
The entire staff was very professional, helpful, and attentive to guests' needs.
We were particularly impressed by the courtesy and efficiency of the dining room staff: Stefan, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Verena, all truly exceptional.
The mountain view offers precious moments of relaxation and true peace.
My husband's birthday was during our stay, and at the end of the dinner, they surprised us with a delicious Sacher torte with best wishes from the entire staff!
It was a truly unforgettable experience.
We needed to feel a little pampered, and at the Bacherhof, we were 100% satisfied.

It's about a 5-minute walk to the gondola up to Gitsch. The hotel has a warm, pleasant atmosphere. The hotel concept is well-thought-out, both inside and out. The indoor and outdoor pools are slightly heated. The sunbathing lawn is lovely, with large parasols and a grassy, almost fluffy surface. It feels like walking barefoot. The service is excellent at breakfast and dinner. The food is good and varied. The sauna area is excellent, with waterbeds, swings, and high-quality loungers. Great views from the restaurant and terrace.

Great wellness area with various saunas and steam baths. It's not overly large, but very well-maintained, and the relaxation rooms offer fantastic views. The outdoor area is also inviting for relaxing on a lounge swing. There's also a lovely sun terrace where you can enjoy an Aperol Spritz in the afternoon. The rooms are somewhat dated and a bit "old," but very clean. All the staff are super friendly, and there's a pleasant atmosphere where you feel welcome. The breakfast buffet is also fantastic!

A welcoming hotel in a beautiful, very quiet location, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The room is spacious and clean. The spa is very nice, with a decent variety of saunas/Turkish baths (accessible without a swimsuit, so don't be shocked if you encounter naked people) and relaxation areas. There's an outdoor pool with loungers (which I didn't use, though) and an indoor pool, which isn't very large and the water is a bit chilly (at least for me). The breakfast buffet was excellent (I would have changed the croissants a bit and added a few more jarred yogurts), while for dinner, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention paid to the presentation of the dishes. Having a fussy child, I really appreciated the option of always having a few basic, simple dishes available. If I may offer a piece of advice: I'd include a little more fruit in the afternoon snack and in the spa, where there were only apples.
The hotel is very close (a 5-minute walk) to the cable car that takes you from Maranza to Mount Gitschberg. As for nightlife, the area is a bit quiet; there are no bars, and if you want some action, you'll have to take the car and get around. However, those who choose a mountain vacation typically do so to relax, unwind, and hike, so they go to bed early.
An honorable mention, for me, is the wonderful cappuccino prepared by the bartender. It's a shame I didn't discover it earlier in the week!

If I really had to name flaws, I'd give two.
1) The village of Maranza isn't very well-equipped for tourist accommodation; for example, there's no pharmacy and not many shops.
Taking the car for everything could be a bit annoying in the long run.
2) I'd make breakfast and the 2:00 PM snack more generous, adding a wider variety of sweet and savory dishes to the soup.
Anyway, keep up the good work, you're truly magical.

We love coming back again and again.
For the past three years, we've visited the Bacherhof several times a year.
Not only because of its fantastic location and beautiful grounds, but
mainly because of the entire staff. From the housekeeping staff who maintain the rooms daily and are always so friendly,
the reception staff who always have a smile on their faces and take care of every request in a friendly and competent manner,
the kitchen crew – it's amazing what they conjure up every day and the quality is incredible.
The service is superb and very attentive, Gottfried with his favorite saying: "Yes, yes, it's alright."
And of course, we mustn't forget Toni and his family, who give the hotel that special something. Whenever we're there, we always run into the same guests. They all keep coming back to the Bacherhof.

The rooms are well equipped (even with hiking backpacks and umbrellas), with a wonderful view from the balcony. The hotel is not located directly at the ski lift, but this is not a problem thanks to the in-house transport service. This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels, if not the best, in Maranza!
The taste and refinement of the spaces (rooms, lounges, bar, and especially the spa) provide a sense of relaxation and pleasure worthy of the best possible vacation.
If you're traveling with family, as we did with children aged 4 and 5, this hotel is an excellent choice.
As mentioned, I'd like to reiterate the excellent spa, with five different saunas, two of which have panoramic views, Kneipp paths, and multi-species showers.
The cuisine is refined, varied, and never predictable, always offering meat, fish, and vegetarian options.
High praise goes to the wine cellar, managed directly by the owner, with a wide selection of local whites and all the finest wines.
Cleanliness, order, and the scent of pine will accompany you throughout your stay.
The hotel bar also always offers a pleasant after-dinner drink or aperitif in the company of the bartender, always ready to recommend the best bitters and the most sought-after grappas.

We've been regularly vacationing at the Bacherhof in the winter for several years now, but we've also been there in the summer and fall. No matter the season, the hotel and the mountains are always beautiful. The Bacherhof has a large, very comfortable, well-maintained, and tasteful wellness area, as well as an indoor and outdoor pool. The rooms are also super cozy and clean.
The staff is very attentive and friendly, and the cuisine is of the highest quality, so you look forward to your next vacation and the delicious food all year round ;). For breakfast, there's a lavish buffet (you can even squeeze fresh orange, apple, or carrot juice every morning), which leaves nothing to be desired. In the afternoon, after skiing or hiking, there's a daily changing soup and delicious cakes.
Overall, we are very satisfied and feel so comfortable at the Bacherhof, so we always enjoy coming back and have never been disappointed.

This is our seventh time at the Bacherhof, and as always, it was perfect. Clean hotel with unique attentions, a trekking backpack and two umbrellas to borrow in the room, breathtaking view of the Dolomites, excellent cuisine, elegant dining room, wonderful spa and outdoor pool, with a pond, kind and elegant staff, the only flaw is to see that the very nice young waiters knew very little Italian . Beautiful hotel in a location perhaps less famous than others in South Tyrol, but very beautiful. Stunning views of the Dolomites. Very clean and well-maintained facility, top-notch wellness area. A shuttle to the ski lifts is available in the winter. Quality food and wine, and the staff are always available and knowledgeable. Spacious and modern rooms.
