Reviews

Iris 04. November travelled as 0 + Wonderful hotel. Excellent service. Fabulous view. Exceptional 5-course dinner. Highly recommended.
elena 20. October travelled as family with young kids + We stayed 4 nights in mid-October and had a truly wonderful time: The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location is splendid, beneath the Schlern, which we could admire even from the window of our room. The restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. The menu was carefully prepared and of the highest quality. Highly recommended. We'll be back.
Daniela 07. October travelled as group of friends + A short break in the Alpe di Siusi as a hotel guest. The view from the room was wonderful. The hotel was clean, the staff helpful, and the service excellent! Highly recommended for mountain lovers.
gabry 20. September travelled as young couple + We stayed five days two weeks ago and had a great time; it was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. It's in a quiet location, the food is divine, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. We did some long hikes, and luckily the weather was nice too. We'll be back next year. Congratulations!
Björn 04. September travelled as family with young kids + Simply fantastic, from the rooms to the food. And the coffee ️ is also a delight. The hotel also has a fantastic view.
alessia 29. August travelled as young couple + Excellent hotel. Great location, very close to the trailhead. Excellent breakfast and dinner, fantastic wait staff, extremely friendly and welcoming. Spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean rooms. Extremely professional and pleasant massage. Highly recommended.
Linda 25. August travelled as young couple + An extraordinary hotel on the Alpe di Siusi, beneath Compaccio. An excellent location for enjoying the tranquility of the Alpe di Siusi and a breathtaking view of the Sciliar. Attentive, friendly staff, always available. It's always nice to be greeted every morning at the breakfast table with a smile and a kind word: these are never lacking at the Seelaus. Excellent cuisine.
Chiara 13. August travelled as young couple + The location is excellent, you're ready to go in no time. The staff is courteous and helpful. Our room was wonderful! Spotlessly clean and ultra-comfortable! The breakfast and evening buffet were plentiful, and everything was delicious. The dinner itself was good but not exceptional. A bottle of water costs €5 or more. It's ridiculous... But given the setting, it's no surprise... We'll definitely be back!
Michael 10. August travelled as 0 + We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights: two adults and our 8-month-old baby. From the very beginning, we found a welcoming, family atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. A special thanks goes to Zarina and Marianna, who were extremely kind and attentive to us and, especially, to our little girl. The location is excellent, and the food is excellent. It truly has it all: highly recommended. We hope to return soon!
E. 05. August travelled as young couple + We had an amazing 4-night stay at Hotel Seelaus in Alpe di Siusi. It was the perfect base for exploring the entire region, including Alpe di Siusi itself, Seceda, Ortisei, and many other beautiful hiking areas. If you stay here, I highly recommend including both breakfast and dinner in your booking. The food was excellent and gave us all the energy we needed for long hiking days. Breakfast was a rich buffet, and dinner was a 5-course meal with multiple options. Every morning during breakfast, you receive a menu where you can choose from. Our room with a balcony and mountain view was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our trip through the Dolomites. The bathroom was perfect, featuring a spacious rain shower. The entire room was kept in impeccable condition, clean, tidy, and very well looked after. The staff was friendly. A great extra detail: the room came with a brand-new backpack you could use during your stay, which we actually took with us on almost all our hikes, super convenient! We would definitely stay here again if we return to the Dolomites. Highly recommended!
Lara 23. July travelled as elderly couple + Tout était parfait !
barbara 21. July travelled as 0 + Just returned from this wonderful hotel.... it's already the second time I've stayed there.... the dinner and breakfast were excellent with the possibility of vegetarian choices too... the waiting staff and barman were fabulous.... the room was large and welcoming (112)... the pool, relaxation area and massage services were excellent... the reception was fast and helpful... in short, we'd go back... without a doubt... thanks for our requests to change desserts for ice cream.... p.s. a piece of advice, it would be nice to find a newspaper available to guests in the morning... (it's just that I like reading the news in the morning).... you are fabulous....
Kids 05. July travelled as young couple + Cosy hotel within walking distance to the alpe di suisi. We enjoyed the room, and the wonderful view from the balcony, alrhough the room got a bit hot without the balcony door open in summer. Wellness area was wonderful and lots of massage jets in the heated pool, which was nice after being out hiking. Food was great, especially the 5 course dinners. Only complaint would be that the timing of dinner made it impossible to be at the meadows for sunset.
PM 23. June travelled as 0 + A superb hotel with a view of the Schlern, if you pay the extra for the new rooms (it's worth it). However, I expect fresh produce from a 4-star hotel every day. Day-old rolls are a definite no-go! Also, the same main course is offered for dinner two nights in a row. Especially for the price of the hotel, you'd expect significantly higher quality! €6.80 for wheat flour? Yes, those are the prices at this hotel!
Daniele 19. June travelled as single traveller + Excellent hotel on the Alpe di Siusi. You can set off for the various walks on the plateau without having to take the car. Spacious and clean room. The swimming pool with hydromassage is the best for relaxing after a nice walk. Quality and varied cuisine, very kind staff. And then you can charge your electric car at the columns in their parking lot. Highly recommended
davide 03. June travelled as young couple + An excellent hotel in every service offered. Excellent and refined cuisine, cleanliness and kindness, a complete wellness area, excellent location and a bit of tradition make you feel really good. A little tip: choose a room with the afternoon sun. Magical.
ralf 22. May travelled as young couple + A fantastic hotel on the Seiser Alm. The drive there alone is an experience. The evening cuisine is something special...
Yum 04. March travelled as young couple + Very warm, attentive hosts - and that applies to everyone who works here. Even though I dislocated my arm while skiing on the first day, everyone took great care of me afterwards, so it was a wonderful stay despite the mishap.
AP 26. February travelled as 0 + Located at 1,800 meters above sea level, Hotel Seelaus offers incredible views of the Dolomites, while providing direct access to ski slopes and hiking trails. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the warmth of family management and attention to every detail. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated in an elegant Alpine style. A room with a balcony and mountain views is perfect for a morning coffee or an evening rest at sunset. The food is one of the hotel's greatest strengths - breakfast is rich in local products, while dinners bring a combination of traditional Tyrolean cuisine and Italian specialties, always prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant staff is friendly and professional. The hotel's wellness center provides perfect relaxation after a day spent in nature. The indoor pool, sauna and hot tub perfectly complement an active stay and allow guests to completely relax. What makes Hotel Seelaus special is the exceptional hospitality of the hosts and staff. Every guest is treated with special attention, and every recommendation or help comes with a smile. Whether you are a fan of skiing, hiking or simply want to enjoy the peace and quiet of untouched nature, Seelaus is the ideal choice. This hotel offers an unforgettable experience and is definitely a place you will want to return to.
Silvia 22. February travelled as 0 + We stayed at Seelaus in the second week of February this year and had an excellent time in a luxurious location that is further enhanced and made homely by the warmth and friendliness of the owners and the attentiveness of all the staff. The location is exceptional, with breathtaking mountain views, direct access to the Laurin chairlift, a spa and wellness center with a refined atmosphere and a priceless view from the terrace, and top-notch food and wine selection. As you leave, you already think about when you'll return to this enchanting place! Thank you all for the warm welcome you give your guests! Silvia and Alessandra
Hans 15. February travelled as young couple + Hotel ideal for skiers. Directly at the valley station of the Laurin lift. Ski depot in the hotel.Gold ducat room simply furnished, without table or chair, with a view of the slopes and valley. The bathroom is narrow, toilet not separated, no bidet. Restaurant is very good, staff friendly and helpful. Walk uphill to Compatsch, 15 minutes in winter. A good hotel for skiers at 3 star level. With more comfort in the room, 4 stars would be justified
Andris 01. February travelled as family with young kids + The hotel's location is fantastic and the rooms are all very modern, however, the hotel doesn't live up to the 4-star standard advertised on the website. It's more like a 3-star hotel, as indicated by Google. Furthermore, the head chef could be replaced, as the food was often unappetizing. The price-performance ratio doesn't reflect the quality of the accommodations and the food.
Нина 02. November travelled as 0 + The room with the amazing view, friendly staff, perfect location, delicious food
Thomas 15. October travelled as young couple + We can only agree with the many positive comments. You can truly relax here. We had a pine room. I wasn't expecting the pleasant scent of pine. But the doors, bed, and furnishings made entirely of pine are something special. Everything is new and of high quality. No musty odor from carpets or old rooms. The view of the mountains from the bed through the floor-to-ceiling windows is priceless. A different picture every morning and evening :-) A big compliment to the kitchen!!! The food was delicious and perfectly prepared every time. All the staff and owners are super friendly.
Chelo 19. August travelled as 0 + Very quiet and welcoming hotel. Extremely clean, excellent food. Very nice spa with a hydromassage pool (the water isn't very warm), a relaxation area, sauna, Kneipp path, and showers. A 10-minute walk from the cable car, beautiful view from the spacious room with bathroom (the only flaw is the lack of a bidet). Recommended.
Paolo 11. August travelled as family with young kids + One night in August, quadruple room, 2 adults and 2 children We stayed in a recently renovated room; the smell of wood was still there. Nothing to complain about: clean, large, with a view of the Schlern. No carpeting, which I personally consider truly outdated. The bathroom is well-designed, although it lacks a bidet. Comfortable bed. The hotel service is very attentive, present, and unobtrusive. It's not a family hotel, but there's plenty of attention for the little ones, like a coloring book at the table, complete with crayons. And there are some outdoor games. Perhaps, due to the winter, a dedicated children's area is missing. Perhaps... There is an indoor pool that children can use, clearly maintaining behavior consistent with a pool/wellness center environment. After 6:00 PM, children are not allowed in the pool to allow those using the wellness area to enjoy greater relaxation. That's fine. Breakfast is plentiful and very good. From sweet to savory, with an eye to tradition and guests' tastes. Superb dinner, the cuisine is excellent. The buffet is also excellent, congratulations. The hotel's location is excellent. It's not on the main road; there's a small private road to access it. In the evening, the area is super quiet, and after dinner, there's a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the sunset view. The hotel is right on the Alpe di Siusi, so in the evenings, there aren't any extras like those found in the village. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place. In winter, the location is even better because you're right on the slopes. On the other hand, in summer, a path leading down to Siusi passes right in front of the hotel, and it was already busy on Sunday morning at 7:30, so some might have some privacy concerns. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of the prices. We only stayed one night, and since Mom and Dad's 2024 holidays don't coincide for various reasons, we accepted the offer, which was quite high, even though it was in line with what the area has to offer. Just over €180 per adult is a bit too much. The hotel is beautiful, with an excellent location and excellent food (we're still talking about a 3-star hotel), but unfortunately, we can't hide the fact that prices have risen in some areas in recent years. And South Tyrol is one of them. For a family of four, it's a hefty expense. Granted, it's a vacation destination, but personally, €5.50 for a 75cl bottle of water seems high. €6.50 for an aperitif. For a week-long stay, water is worth its weight in gold.
DJ 08. August travelled as young couple + This is a great hotel located at the entrance to Alpe d'Isiusi. It's a great location for exploring not only Alpe d'Isiusi but also the western Dolomites, including Seceda. Compazzi village and the Panorama Lift are a short walk away, and the newly renovated double rooms were impeccable, from the views to the room condition. The hotel's greatest strength is its half-board plan, which includes a delicious four- or five-course dinner every night during our five-night stay. The waitresses were incredibly attentive and attentive. The hotel also boasts a small but comfortable heated swimming pool, perfect for relieving the fatigue of hiking. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever return to the Dolomites.
Maria 02. August travelled as young couple + Good experience. Positive notes The room in the new wing was very nice and very clean. Good and well-stocked breakfast Good common area, very clean, modern furnishings. Well-managed bike storage. Top-notch dining room staff. Very kind and friendly owners. Sorry notes Dinner, if I had to give it a 6, would be a 6. Water was not available in a carafe, only plose at 5.50 per liter. Note that there was no minibar in the room. The bar was unmanned after hours. I had to look for staff. No bidet in the room. Except for two dinners with advance notice, I was refunded €10 per person compared to half board. The receptionist was cold and unresponsive. The hotel's location was excellent. Overall, I recommend it.
Markus 28. July travelled as young couple + It's a very nice hotel. The rooms are comfortably furnished, and the view is magnificent. High praise goes to the kitchen and the staff. The food was so delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. I would give it more stars
Gerlinde 24. July travelled as 0 + The perfect holiday for us there is nothing to complain about Every wish is met by the especially Ms. Niki is so dedicated that it is a pleasure to enjoy the excellent cuisine every day
Christian 30. June travelled as single traveller + Very nice hotel on the Seiser Alm. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. Breakfast had a very large selection, dinner had a very varied menu, excellent cuisine, good wines, and a small but nice wellness area with a small pool. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset in the rooms with a view of the Sciliar. If you have booked a room with a mountain view, there are two terraces with comfortable wicker furniture available for watching the sunset. The location is ideal; in 5 minutes on foot you can reach Comatsch, the starting point for many hikes. Well-deserved . Thank you for the wonderful days on the alpine pasture.
Dieter 18. June travelled as young couple + Quiet location, great food
Martina 06. June travelled as young couple + Great hotel with world-class cuisine. Great views from the room with panoramic windows right next to the bed. The rooms are made of wood and very chic.
Giovanni 07. March travelled as 0 + A luxurious hotel in true Dolomite style. The location on the slopes is especially stunning, with a view of the fir trees. Breakfast (the most important factor in evaluating a hotel) was very satisfying, leaving aside the coffee, but it's not often you find good coffee in the mountains. Delicious dinner, even the buffet was excellent. Too many broths for my taste, but that's not a problem. I'd also like to point out the snacks with cakes and pastries from 3 to 5 PM. The only flaw: each bottle of water at dinner costs €5.50, which is quite outrageous. I'm attaching a random photo.
Johannes 26. January travelled as young couple + Beautiful hotel rooms made of Swiss pine, friendly welcome, excellent food. Great view of the Schlern mountain. Ski slope right outside the door. Attentive staff.
Giacomo 24. January travelled as family with young kids + Always a guarantee
Chris 23. January travelled as 0 + A very nice hotel! The price is OK, the room is OK, and the service is OK. I highly recommend it.
Stefano 08. December travelled as 0 + Fabulous!
Sylvia 11. September travelled as young couple + A fantastic hotel! Everything from the food to the service is top-notch, and it's very family-friendly!
Andreas 05. September travelled as young couple + A very nice place to vacation. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you're in a warm environment.
Isabel 27. August travelled as group of friends + Good hotel, and even better staff and service in the restaurant. The staff are amazing! New and clean rooms with a terrace and great views. Lots of thoughtful touches, including the complimentary aperitif at 6:00 p.m. for hotel guests. Somewhat high price for the stay. Breakfast and dinner were very good. I recommend half board. We don't usually eat lunch or dinner in hotels, but in this area, it's a must. We'll be back!
Paolo 23. August travelled as young couple + Very nice place, just a few meters from Compaccio. We'll be back!
Andrea 17. August travelled as young couple + Clean room, very bright, spacious and with a beautiful view of the Sciliar. Very kind staff, excellent cuisine with particular mention for the desserts.
Edwin 23. July travelled as 0 + We have been Many lovely winters at this great hotel….Snowboarding…Skieing and enjoying the great service and warm welcome… And now we will Go in Summer (our first time ) on 30 july for (only) two days on our way to Austria Attersee from our heat and Superb Month at the Academy’s in Florence…‍️
Torbjørn 14. July travelled as family with young kids + We stayed at the hotel for a week to enjoy the Dolomites during the summer. The service was very good. Nice rooms with view towards rhe mountains and the valley below. Cleanliness were to the highest standards. The hotel has a nice pool in the spa area. It is not big enough for swimmingpool, but nice for relaxation. Excelent breakfast and good dinner. The area can be explorer on bike and at foot. E-bikes can easily be rented from one of the many rental services. Full suspension is recommended for comfort and increased control on the gravel roads.
Daniela 11. July travelled as 0 + The hotel's location is excellent – the hiking trails around "die Alm" start right outside. You can park your car right in front of the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff were very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. We really enjoyed our short break at the Hotel Seelaus. Thank you very much!
Martina 05. July travelled as young couple + An outstanding hotel in a beautiful location! The hotel is beautifully situated, with a fantastic view from our room, which boasts a large panoramic window and a lovely balcony. It's a great base for wonderful hikes. A warm, family-friendly atmosphere; the Gobbo family was approachable and very helpful at all times. The food was excellent every day and a real treat; the presentation of the dishes was a feast for the eyes. We had a wonderful rest and would love to come back. Warm greetings from northern Germany!
Klaus 02. July travelled as young couple + A wonderful, lovingly run hotel. The location and view are unique. A huge compliment also goes to the chef; the food is a dream. It couldn't be better
Color 01. July travelled as young couple + Unfortunately, it's noticeable here too that the tourism industry is suffering from a staff shortage. Unfortunately, there's only one competent waiter present, the rest are more like support staff. And yes, some whining at a high level, but it's also a 4-star hotel, not a guesthouse... I understand that they don't ask you how your journey was, whether you found your way here easily, etc., it's just empty phrases. But asking how your stay was, whether everything was satisfactory, etc., is something you could perhaps expect. Nope, bill, thanks, see you again. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet should be ready at the posted time, and not startled by the lights turning on when the first guests arrive and then quickly clearing away the rest. And no, we weren't too early, and we're not pedantic Germans. But if you're charging 4 stars, you should also offer 4 stars. The rooms, on the other hand, were nothing to complain about. Everything was very modern and new.
Fabian 20. May travelled as 0 + A truly fantastic hotel. Free parking is available right at the hotel, and you'll receive a friendly, family-friendly welcome. If you get a new room with a view of the ski slope, you'll have a phenomenal view every day! Of the mountains, the slopes, the evening sun. Right from your bed! The breakfast had a huge selection, and if that wasn't enough for you, you could simply order an omelet or something sweet of your choice. In the afternoon, there was a large selection of cakes, and in the evening, there was always a delicious multi-course menu. The wellness area is fantastic. A lovely pool, sauna, and a few loungers. There, too, a lovely view! The ski lockers on the ground floor are fantastic. Just a few meters on level ground, and you're right on the slopes. Perfect!
Prof. 20. March travelled as 0 + An absolutely fantastic hotel! Great, clean rooms, friendly staff, fantastic wellness facilities, perfect location near the slopes and lifts, and excellent food!
Fabrizio 19. March travelled as family with young kids + Very clean and quiet hotel. Very friendly staff. Refined food and well-prepared dishes. Located close to the ski lifts, easy to reach. The wellness area is small but welcoming. We will gladly return.
Marina 19. March travelled as family with young kids + Close to the ski lifts, clean and spacious room, excellent food, small but well-maintained and clean wellness area, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent holiday.
Andreas 19. February travelled as family with young kids + Great house... in a great location... lovely ambience...
3D 07. February travelled as 0 + Location is fantastic right next to the ski lifts beautiful hotel
Daniela 14. January travelled as group of friends + The hotel is fantastic, with great service and outstanding food. The location is unique. Highly recommended.
Ela 08. January travelled as young couple + Nothing is missing, top service, top cleanliness, top food, top location, owners always available and courteous ready to satisfy every need
Manuela 02. January travelled as 0 + We just left and are already thinking about when we can return. Everything was excellent, from the cleanliness to the kindness of the staff and owners. The food was excellent, and the only suggestion we could give is to create a themed evening with a typical South Tyrolean dinner. A charming place and very convenient for skiers.
Stefanie 29. December travelled as 0 + A super nice hotel. Spotlessly clean. Great service, everyone very friendly. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Room: Great view, very clean and large (double room). Food: Very tasty and varied. Breakfast was varied and everything was fresh. Dinner had great set menus, preceded by a great appetizer and salad buffet. Wellness: Great massages. The wellness area was very clean, but a bit small. The sauna and steam room were clean, but too small for the number of guests (when we were there). There were also usually no free sunbeds when we were there. Location: Perfect, right on the slopes and a great view. Conclusion: We'll definitely be back
James 12. November travelled as 0 + I led a photography workshop here. Absolutely superb service from all the staff at Hotel Seelaus who went above and beyond in every way. I’ve written six guidebooks to the Dolomites and can confidently recommend this hotel as one of the best around, both in terms of location and value for money.
Cristina 30. October travelled as 0 + Always lovely. Great food, superb service.
Ulrich 23. October travelled as 0 + Located in the heart of hiking trails. Comfortable and family-run. Excellent food.
PETER 20. October travelled as 0 + Great food. When choosing a room, make sure it's not above the kitchen. It smells and is loud. Otherwise, it's really great.
Inge 18. October travelled as young couple + We stayed here for an extended weekend and were completely satisfied :) The weather gods were also kind to us. We had a newly renovated, very cozy Gold Ducat Room; the view from the bed was magnificent. We really liked the large shower and the vanity with plenty of counter space. We were particularly surprised by the quiet toilet. A big compliment to the room cleaning service: no traces of water on the fixtures or the glass wall in the shower! We've gotten used to the fact that a beach bag with towels, bathrobes, and slippers is standard by now. But the free provision of an umbrella and a backpack was a nice touch. The extremely friendly service at breakfast/dinner was attentive and very well trained. The lovingly set tables (with slanted chairs :-) invite guests to step inside. The breakfast buffet was extremely plentiful and left nothing to be desired. And the evening menu is simply fantastic ***** a visual and, above all, taste-wise, experience every day. We'd definitely love to come back.
Maik 07. October travelled as 0 + A charmingly furnished hotel with excellent service. The food is also superb. Hiking trails can be started almost directly from the hotel.
Kaffeetante 03. October travelled as 0 + A beautifully located hotel with a touch of luxury.
baymava 04. September travelled as 0 + We were privileged to spend a weekend at this wonderful hotel. The Gold Ducat Room had a stunning view, the service was exemplary, and the dinner was top-notch. Only the Wi-Fi was a bit slow and the sauna a bit small, but that certainly doesn't justify losing a star. We would love to come back, thank you so much for everything!
Bettina 30. August travelled as 0 + A great location on the Seiser Alm, delicious food, very friendly staff, great new rooms with a beautiful view. I can only recommend the hotel.
Tom 02. August travelled as 0 + Christmas time 2021. Great host and fantastic place. Despite being active all day, we gained several kg... Very good food (more than enough). Ski in, ski out. Want to come back.
Silvia 21. July travelled as family with young kids + Very comfortable hotel, in a strategic position both in summer with routes starting nearby and in winter with ski lifts 10 meters from the building.
Paolo 17. July travelled as family with young kids + We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Seel Aus. The owners were very helpful, the room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, the service was excellent, and the food was top-notch.
Kathrin 30. June travelled as young couple + The hotel has a beautiful location and is very modern. The service is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, but there's way too much of it... It was a very nice stay on the Seiser Alm.
Cinzia 27. June travelled as 0 + Top in everything
Silvia 24. June travelled as 0 + A very nice, family-owned hotel. Very nice hosts and very friendly staff. We always feel very comfortable there and enjoy coming back again and again. Above all, the hotel is in a great location about 50 meters below the Seiser Alm plateau, offering many hiking and excursion options. You don't really need a car and can explore new places every day.
Heike 20. June travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel, excellent service, great food, fantastic spa area!!
Horst 29. May travelled as young couple + Unique location
Wil 13. March travelled as 0 + Hotel room was nice and modern, with balcony and view to the mountains. Great location for downhill skiers, but not ideally located for cross country skiing, have to walk 10 mins uphill to nearest tracks in Compatch itself. I think the hotel could better maintain the parking area in winter as it is thick with ice and frozen snow and is an accident waiting to happen.
willemijn 11. March travelled as 0 + Nice, shady music. Comfortable seating and friendly staff. Very modern.
Johan 01. March travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, and the added bonus of a sweet buffet in the afternoon. The hotel is right on the slopes, just 10 steps away.
Monika 24. January travelled as 0 + We've stayed at the Hotel Seel Aus several times and have always felt incredibly comfortable. The hotel is located right on the slopes, and two treadmills take you to the lift station. The food is delicious and prepared with love. The entire hotel is very clean, including the entire wellness area. We highly recommend the hotel; it leaves nothing to be desired. We'll be back and are already looking forward to it.
Carsten 15. January travelled as 0 + Perfect location for those who want to be the first on the slopes in the morning after a hearty breakfast. A magic carpet takes you directly from the hotel to the Laurin lift, from where you can continue in four different directions. Admittedly, slopes 9 and 10 are nothing more than a ski path, but it saves you having to warm up. We had the Geier Wally suite. It was nice with two TVs in the bedroom and in the adjoining living area. If you want a view of the Schlern and the mountains like the slopes, you should choose a Gold Ducat room. The evening menus are good anyway.
Ingvar 07. January travelled as 0 + Newly renovated hotel directly on ski slopes. The rooms are very nice and clean. Food is very good, we especially liked the second light dinner option and the possibility of combining different dishes from the two menus. Family owners are very friendly. The staff is welcoming. The only drawback is the outdated and worn-out SPA area, which I am sure would have already been refurbished like the rest of the hotel if the business hasn't been interrupted due to the corona. All in all, definitely worth recommending. We will be returning for sure.
Cristiano 05. January travelled as 0 + We spent 3 fantastic days of relaxation and great food at the Seel Aus hotel. Quiet place with a view of the Sciliar massif and practically on the ski slopes, 2 steps from the Laurin chairlift. Professional and very kind staff. Top cleanliness. We highly recommend it
Johana 03. January travelled as 0 + Beautiful place, very kind and attentive staff and the best food I have ever had in Italy!! No complaints. Plus it is located right at the bottom of the Laurin slope :)
Andrea 29. December travelled as 0 + Excellent location for skiers (in front of the Florian chairlift). Excellent cleanliness during Covid, and the staff and owners were extremely kind, even assigning us a secluded table when we requested not to eat in the common areas. The pool, spa, heated ski storage, and bar complete the package. 10 out of 10 for those who love skiing and rejuvenating themselves in the fabulous Alps.
S. 22. December travelled as 0 + A very nice hotel with excellent amenities. The Gobbo family and the entire team were simply fantastic. We'll be back and can only recommend the hotel. Best regards, the Schmieder family.
Franziska 08. December travelled as 0 + A very nice, clean, cozy, and friendly hotel right on the slopes! We'll definitely be back soon...
Marco 17. November travelled as 0 + Beautiful experience
Mary 28. October travelled as 0 + Food very good. Staff very friendly at breakfast and dinner. New room great! Unfortunately we were woken up several times during the night by the hotel's own dog.
Peter 24. October travelled as young couple + A very nice hotel! We can recommend the hotel 100%. We had a Golddukaten Natural room with a balcony with a mountain panorama and afternoon sun. The rooms are lovingly and very modern and newly furnished. We felt very comfortable. All employees (service to reception) were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very extensive, lots of different rolls, different croissants, fruit, jam and different egg dishes, sausage, cheese - everything your heart desires. However, the fried eggs had already been fried and piled up in the warming container, which didn't look tasty. Breakfast eggs were also already cooked and kept warm. So uninteresting for me, who likes to eat soft breakfast eggs. I would have expected a little more flexibility in a 4-star hotel. The 4-course menu in the evening is beautifully presented, but the waiting time between courses is too long. I also have to say that I was very disappointed with the staff and the food. Either the wrong food was brought or I had a fly in the ointment (there was no apology). Once there was also steak from the pastured ox, but all the tables around us had the steak returned because it was very dry. The staff also spoke German poorly. In the morning the menu is on the table and you can choose the meal for the evening. I once had a question about the menu and it couldn't be answered. When plates etc. were cleared from the table, every waiter asked 'Is everything OK?' - That sounded very memorized. Otherwise everything was excellent.
maurizio 18. October travelled as 0 + Excellent. Everything excellent.
Horst 09. October travelled as 0 + Great room, fantastic food, dream view, again and again, 1
Ezio 16. September travelled as 0 + A 4-star hotel, and it deserves it. Very clean, with a breakfast to suit every need, and stellar dinners with even light menus. The only downside is the spa, which only has a sauna and Turkish bath, and a small pool. The staff is very welcoming and professional.
Josef 12. September travelled as 0 + Excellently run hotel, very friendly staff and outstanding food, both at the breakfast buffet and the evening 5-course menu!!!
Edoardo 31. August travelled as 0 + I spent a week's vacation in August at the Hotel Seelaus, where I was completely rejuvenated. The property and location were beautiful, and the staff were kind and welcoming, right down to the owners, who were always available to offer advice and directions for my excursions. The room was also very nice and clean, and the spa was the icing on the cake. I also want to give special mention to the restaurant, which offers dishes that showcase traditional local flavors, always with a creative touch. Enjoying them in the beautiful dining room with a view is the best. I will definitely be back as soon as possible!
Rita 03. August travelled as 0 + My husband and I, on the recommendation of friends, had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Seelaus and on the Seiser Alm. We had actually only planned and booked four nights, but after being so pampered at the hotel (with the very personal service, the fantastic food, and the care provided by the owners), we ended up staying seven. The location was also fantastic – all in all, an absolute "insider" tip! We will definitely be back – and then with our motorcycle customers too Rita Mahrdt from the rm travel team
Annelie 01. August travelled as 0 + The hotel exudes a sense of tranquility and security. This is thanks in part to the friendly and attentive staff. The varied food, featuring regional and international cuisine, tastes delicious. The hotel's location encourages active and diverse activities. Anyone who books their next vacation on the Seiser Alm anywhere other than the "Seelaus" has only themselves to blame.
Sven 24. July travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel. We'd love to come back. Fantastic view. Excellent food.
Walter 20. July travelled as young couple + Because we North Tyroleans are very spoiled by nature and also a little critical. We've stayed at the Hotel Seelaus for four nights. If I could, I'd add another star. From A - like arrival to Z - like the Swiss pine room. Thank you, the Gobbo family. See you soon
Susanna 15. July travelled as 0 + We stayed at this hotel for five days, chosen almost by chance, from July 9th to 14th, 2021. The owners and all the staff were very friendly and kind, the cuisine was varied, refined, and everything was delicious. And after a hike, relaxing in the pool with whirlpool and various saunas was the highlight. A quiet place with a view of the Sciliar massif. We highly recommend it.
otto 14. July travelled as 0 + Great food, very attentive staff, hotel very good
Bastian 06. July travelled as 0 + Once again, I'm a guest at the Seelaus. The hotel is run by a truly welcoming family. The rooms are well-kept and clean, and the service staff is attentive. There's nothing to complain about, and the quality of the food is simply top-notch! It's worth a visit!
Massimo 20. June travelled as 0 + We were on holiday from June 13th to June 20th, very positive opinion, splendid location, excellent room, excellent and attentive breakfast and dinner
Andreas 09. June travelled as 0 + Excellent food New rooms with afternoon/evening sun Spacious wellness area Very clean and well-maintained Exceptionally friendly family-run business
Valerio 07. June travelled as 0 + "Seelaus" could have a double meaning: Seel aus = soulless - See laus = lake flea, and is of ancient origin. The hotel's name may be a typical South Tyrolean surname, originating from Villabassa/Lake Braies (Pustertal). The hotel is located in the magical setting of the Alpe di Siusi and is characterized by the refined hospitality of South Tyrolean tourism. Its furnishings and menus are typical of the area, with prices slightly higher than the average of nearby hotels: Bressanone/Maranza/Brunico, Chiusa. Prices and amenities are in line with those of Val Gardena, and justified by the incomparably beautiful panorama. For three days of absolute relaxation, the recommended exit is from the A22 motorway exit at Chiusa/Val Gardena for those coming from the north; Bolzano Nord for those coming from the south. Covid permitting...
Marija 05. June travelled as 0 + Very friendly staff. Food was very good.

Andrea 15. September travelled as 0 + A fabulous place run by a fantastic family, top cleanliness and excellent cuisine, very kind and helpful staff
Ermanno 29. August travelled as family with young kids + We stayed at the Hotel Seelaus for a week. The welcome was warm, the service excellent, and the food excellent. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday with spectacular scenery. A special thanks to the Gobbo family and all the staff.
Giovanni 09. August travelled as 0 + Memorable unforgettable
Daniele 18. July travelled as young couple + A wonderful hotel, like almost all the places in South Tyrol. A 10-minute walk from Compaccio, nestled in the Alpe di Siusi, renovated in autumn 2019, it is very beautiful as well as welcoming! Priceless views from the balconies complete this wonderful experience! It's certainly not cheap, but it's worth it and we'll be back!
Michele 16. March travelled as 0 + Directly on the slopes and excellent food
iunus 24. February travelled as 0 + The Hotel Seelaus is a very nice hotel, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, a fantastic wellness area with a sauna, whirlpool, and fitness area. The four-course dinner menu is very tasty and well-balanced, but the wait between courses is too long. The breakfast is varied and also very tasty. We would be happy to come back here. All in all, a very nice and highly recommended hotel.
Susanna 23. February travelled as 0 + We stayed two days and were very satisfied with the excellent location and beautiful room like everything else.
Marco 15. February travelled as 0 + Completely renovated hotel directly on the slopes
Thomas 07. February travelled as 0 + Very friendly staff, good location directly on the Fernpassstrasse
Horst 14. January travelled as 0 + We stayed with four adults. It was a family-run hotel with excellent cuisine and very friendly hosts.

Le 28. September travelled as 0 + Very nice
Stefano 26. August travelled as 0 + Quiet, excellent food and service
Iska 16. July travelled as 0 + Very good food
Marco 09. July travelled as 0 + A welcoming hotel. My room was a little dated and without a bidet, but it was clean. My friends' rooms were definitely better. The food was good and the staff were friendly. The location is excellent for winter, as it's at the bottom of the last slope. In summer, it's not exactly easy to reach the small town center on foot if you have a stroller.
marinella 07. July travelled as 0 + Very welcoming comfortable room nice spa and good food. Congratulations
Dino 28. June travelled as 0 + Super in all services, try it super relaxing
Barbara 05. June travelled as 0 + Delicious food and friendly staff. Swimming pool unfortunately a bit too small. Rooms nice and clean.
Fabrizio 04. June travelled as 0 + Good structure
Valter 25. March travelled as 0 + Excellent hotel, excellent cuisine, excellent services, good location for the ski lifts, and honest prices, friendly and affable staff and motorbike owners.
rotistblau 05. March travelled as 0 + We stayed for a week in February 2019. It's a great base for a ski holiday, as you can set off and arrive directly from the hotel. After skiing, there's cake available if you like, and you can enjoy the in-house sauna, which we did every day. We were very pleased with the food; the breakfast buffet certainly offered plenty of choice for everyone, and dinner featured several delicious courses. The very friendly and helpful staff deserves special mention; the waiters clearly enjoyed their work, which sometimes made us laugh along with them. And not to forget the equally friendly host family. We really enjoyed the week and would love to come back. Greetings from Northern Germany
Vladko 22. February travelled as 0 + Great atmosphere. Opponent
Gerlinde 17. February travelled as 0 + We've been coming to the Seelaus since 1973. We've stayed at the hotel from three stars minus to today and have always been very satisfied. It's a wonderful family hotel; our daughter grew up on the slopes of the Seiser Alm. We'll be back in March.
Friedhelm 25. January travelled as 0 + A great house, great location
Algen 09. January travelled as 0 + This hotel is well-located near the ski slopes, a 10-minute walk from the center of Compaccio village. It features an efficient spa and, above all, excellent food. The only downside is the small, dated bathroom, which absolutely needs updating. The staff is friendly and attentive.
Georg 28. November travelled as 0 + Top hotel... perfect location and excellent cuisine! Highly recommended for hiking enthusiasts!
Claudio 28. November travelled as 0 + Excellent for both comfort and food. All at a fair price (we were there during the low season - September 2018).
Philipp 11. November travelled as 0 + A very nice and clean hotel! The host family is very warm and accommodating. The rooms are large and clean, and the food is excellent. We would gladly return!!!!!
Paul 20. September travelled as 0 + Wonderful hotel in a beautiful place. Great service. Easy access to Compatsh.
Valentina 09. September travelled as 0 + Courteous staff, very good traditional cuisine, simple but well-kept and functional wellness area.
Franco 31. July travelled as 0 + A welcoming hotel in an excellent location for both summer and winter excursions (the ski slope is 50 meters away). The four-course menu plus the ever-present buffet are excellent. The wellness area features a sauna, gym equipment, and an indoor pool with whirlpool.
Anja 30. July travelled as 0 + A quiet hotel located off the main road. Nevertheless, it is centrally located for hiking and skiing. Spacious and beautiful rooms with very attentive staff. Very kind and friendly hotel owners, who are always willing to listen to their guests' questions and requests. The food is very varied and delicious. On top of that, the kitchen team always decorates it imaginatively and beautifully. Roxy's service was excellent, and she was always in a good mood. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely be back next year.
Anna 07. July travelled as 0 + We were very surprised. A family-friendly hotel that isn't too big. The room we stayed in, "Schupfe," was very clean with a slightly older feel. The food was fantastic. The staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.
Andreas 26. June travelled as 0 + Great location, great staff, great food.
DANIELE 01. March travelled as 0 + Great location, excellent service, friendly staff, clean and well-kept rooms, gourmet cuisine!
Karien 28. February travelled as 0 + Fantastic
Matthias 22. February travelled as 0 + Highly recommended as a winter sports hotel
Giovanni 20. February travelled as 0 + I don't know if I can do it for a hundred
Mario 12. February travelled as 0 + Great location, amazing food, and really nice people too... Some parts are newly renovated, others not. We'd love to come back...
Hannes 07. February travelled as 0 + Toll
Michele 01. January travelled as 0 + Perfect in every way. I recommend it.
Letizia 22. December travelled as 0 + The hotel is located directly on the slopes, making it incredibly convenient. The rooms are very comfortable and well-heated. The service is very friendly and the food excellent—be prepared to go home feeling a little heavier! The spa includes a sauna, Turkish bath, pool, and a small gym for relaxing after a busy day of skiing.
paolo 05. December travelled as 0 + Very nice
max 04. October travelled as 0 + Very nice
Mike 26. September travelled as 0 + A super relaxed atmosphere. Surrounded by nature. Beautiful views and romantic cowbells to wake you up.
Valeria 18. September travelled as 0 + Good rooms, exceptional cleanliness, very kind staff, excellent food, the only flaw is the lack of internet connection in the rooms.
Tiziana 08. August travelled as 0 + Welcoming hotel with a pool, sauna, and Turkish bath. The restaurant is excellent. Quiet and the staff is professional. Worth a visit!
Alessandro 29. July travelled as 0 + Good location, friendly staff and good food
C. 08. June travelled as 0 + Highly recommended! Attentive yet unobtrusive staff, phenomenal food, and a stunning location with an unparalleled view!
Ben 06. March travelled as 0 + Nice hotel with spa and great dinner.
Arne 11. February travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel right on the slopes. Good food, friendly staff. We'll be back.
Marcello 17. August travelled as 0 + A simple but very welcoming property, equipped with very comfortable relaxation facilities (swimming pool, whirlpool, steam bath, and sauna). The cuisine is extremely well-prepared and delicious. One small flaw: the cost of water. At 3.80 per liter, I find it extremely high (which is why it's rated 4 stars). I've also mentioned this to the owners. The location is strategic for both summer and winter (with ski-in and ski-out access). It's ideal for those who like to forget about their car.
Thomas 02. August travelled as 0 + Great food, but the four-course dinners always last 70-90 minutes. Small but nice wellness area with an indoor pool. Comfortable rooms and suites. Not really suitable for small children, though.
Paolo 17. March travelled as 0 + Nice hotel and very friendly and nice staff.
Bia 23. September travelled as 0 + Excellent....excellent hospitality.
Tim 13. August travelled as 0 + Super friendly service, delicious food. Great hiking trails and a children's playground.
Riccardo 07. June travelled as 0 + I've been coming here for over forty years, there must be a reason... The staff is knowledgeable and courteous, and the chef is excellent. The buffet is spectacular and the dining room is welcoming. And if you don't feel like walking, the heated pool is perfect for children and adults alike, not to mention the steam room, sauna, and other amenities this excellent hotel offers.
Stefano 09. August travelled as 0 + A special place in the heart of nature

Iris 04. November + Wonderful hotel.
