Very warm atmosphere, and everyone speaks perfect German. Unfortunately, the prices increased by about 20% in 2019—a real shame. Markus's guided motorcycle tours are fantastic.

We had an all-around wonderful stay at the Hotel Alpenrose. The family-run atmosphere is evident in every detail – you immediately feel welcome. The rooms are very comfortable, the housekeeping is impeccable, and the food is simply outstanding: every evening, there's a multi-course menu to choose from in the morning, and vegetarians and vegans are also well catered for. The excellent wine selection complements this perfectly.
The location couldn't be more beautiful: in the heart of the Dolomites at the Karer Pass. In winter, the ski lift starts right behind the hotel, and in summer, there are countless opportunities for hiking, cycling, or motorcycle tours. The wellness area is a real highlight – especially the modern pool with fantastic views of the Catinaccio and Latemar mountains.
We've been here both in summer and winter and will definitely be back. A true gem in the Dolomites!

We were at the end of September 2024 and I dream at least once a week of being there again. We used the spa (sauna, Turkish bath) with a garden that was very easy to reach for a long time, I remember the pool being a little cold on those rainy days, but I still didn't want to get out of the water to admire the mountains. Garden with various options for lying down, very pleasant. Very good food, breakfast, lunch, dinner, nothing to complain about, very attentive to allergies, thank you. We had the traditional rooms, very clean and comfortable, the only flaw was the bed and pillows, we both remember not sleeping very well, for a person of 1.90 the bed was small. We will be back very soon!!!!!!! Wonderful places, even for simple walks in the surrounding area for the less athletic.

Beautiful structure, which lacks nothing: heated outdoor and indoor pools, Spa, gym, garden overlooking Latemar and Catinaccio, terrace where you can dine and have breakfast (all excellent). I stayed in the single room with a panoramic balcony. The staff was very kind and attentive to requests. Possibility of free yoga lessons in the garden.
A stone's throw away you will find the Paolina ski lift, from which some paths suitable for everyone and very suggestive start.
A 20-minute walk takes you to the wonderful Lake Carezza, which can also be reached by bus that stops right in front of the hotel.

Excellent hotel. In every way. Location has the best views and lots of options to do everyday. The food is incredible!!! Breakfast has so many options and dinner is mouth watering. The personal in general is gentle, always available and smiling. We felt at home. Maybe the only thing I would improve would be the mattress that has a small sound when we move and that we didn't see any difference between the classic doble room and the superior one that we payed for.
But for the rest it is the perfect hotel to have a wonderful winter vacation week!

Excellent hotel with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. Next to the Paolina ski lifts, you can also rent skis and ski boots. Private parking is available.
We spent two days here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff was always very attentive and professional, with special mention to Lorenzo, who accommodated our every request, always with expertise and a smile. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with bathrobes and slippers (perhaps they could use a little updating). Excellent amenities include the indoor and outdoor pools with a fantastic view of the Dolomites, and the spa, which is adults-only, not only to ensure silence but also to allow access without a swimsuit (though it's not mandatory). The spa is stocked with herbal teas, dried fruit, towels, a shower—in short, everything you need.
The gym has all the equipment you need to work out even on vacation.
The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a snack from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, included in the room rate. Of course, all this isn't exactly cheap, but it was truly a pleasure to spend a few days in total relaxation, without a care in the world.

Last year we spent a week at this wonderful property and decided to repeat the experience this year. What an excellent choice! :)
The place is stunning, strategically located for both hiking and mountain biking. Tastefully furnished and perfectly managed!
The spa is beautiful, and the pool is charming, with an indoor and outdoor area separated by a sliding glass door!
The cuisine is amazing; the chefs are the owner's talented children, who create excellent dishes every day. The fish is incredibly cooked better than in many city restaurants! (Especially the lake fish, which isn't always tasty.) Well done!
Lorenzo's presence in the dining room is the added value, making the system work perfectly thanks to his professional presence and promptness, but also a genuine kindness that isn't always found!
The icing on the cake are the services right on the doorstep: the mountain bike (and ski) rental shop next to the hotel, and the ski school just a few meters away that organizes mountain bike lessons for children in the summer. We made full use of both!

Quiet area, no traffic, yet just a few minutes from the main attractions. I didn't use the outdoor pool (very nice) because the indoor heated pool with hydrojets was spectacular!
They even jump-started my car with a flat battery, thank you (these things can ruin a vacation). The breakfast was generous and the dinner was good and varied. If you don't have 5-star expectations, you can spend a few days in peace and entertainment (there's also a wide selection of board games). Recommended.

The hotel is located directly on the Carezza ski slopes. Two ski lifts start right behind the hotel.
The hotel itself could be described as: "A hotel from the 80s trying to modernize."
There is a newer swimming pool, including an outdoor pool. However, the spa/sauna area is relatively small for the size of the hotel. In winter, there's hardly room for more than 10 people on the loungers.
Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not good.

We stayed at the Alpenrose for the third time this year in February 2024, and every time it's been simply SUPER.
The hotel is located right next to the lift station – so you can put on your warmed ski boots in the ski cellar, hop on the lift, and hit the slopes.
The ski rental is even on site – perfect.
Throughout the hotel, you can feel the commitment and passion of the entire Auer family in so many moments:
- With the best latte macchiato for breakfast,
- In the evening, the love of wine in the wine cellar for a tasting,
- On a day of skiing together, the love of the mountains,
- While eating our own ham, homemade bread, or the unbeatable three-course dinner,
- In the bar with our specially brewed spirits,
- Or so many other moments.
After skiing, head to the sauna – here Olga makes a steam infusion, or better yet, four, and disperses the air with a dance with two fans. Afterwards, enjoy a dip in the pool and stargaze in the warm outdoor pool.
And if there's ever a problem—the pillows are too hard or too soft, too big or too small—no matter what, it's taken care of immediately.
Honestly, I couldn't think of a better place to go for a ski vacation.

The hotel is very well located for skiing; the slopes are right behind it, and there's a ski rental shop and much more inside the hotel. The staff were very friendly, especially Rocco and Francesca, but overall everyone was very nice. Upon our arrival, we found the pool a little cold compared to our standards. We told Cosimo, who was very helpful in accommodating us, even offering us a massage, unlike the hotel owner, who was very annoyed. The spa is a bit small: I wouldn't recommend it to those who want a spa-and-pool-only vacation; this hotel is perfect for skiers.

The hotel isn't new, but it's adequately maintained. Rooms are quite warm, with views—albeit beautiful—limited to the windows, and there's little Alpine atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. The spa is small, but probably insufficient if the hotel is very busy. The food is decent, but each dish is based on sauces that are often sweetish (vanilla?) and confusing to the palate; personally, I'd avoid this nouveau-cuisine digression. Still, it's worth visiting. Prices are reasonable. The Wine Free evening on Fridays deserves a special mention.

A hotel in a dream location amidst the enchanting mountains of the Rosengarten and Latemar ranges. Ideal for skiing, winter hiking, or simply relaxing in winter, and for hiking, biking, etc. in summer.
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We particularly liked the personal and family atmosphere; we felt at home from the very first moment.
A very beautiful spa area with a unique panoramic pool.
Dinner, along with the extensive breakfast buffet, was an absolute highlight. Such high-quality, creative, and varied cuisine is rare with half-board.
It certainly won't be our last stay.

I stayed in this hotel over the 8th December long weekend with my boyfriend and we had a great time. The property is very beautiful, spacious room, clean and warm. The hotel is in an ideal position for those who want to ski as it directly overlooks the ski slopes. Convenient equipment rental right next to the hotel. It is also located a few minutes from Lake Carezza, reachable with a picturesque walk in the snow. Very kind staff, we had a problem with the car and they were indispensable in solving it. We had half board and the dinner completely met our expectations. I absolutely recommend it.

We stayed at the Alpenrose at the end of August 2021! Two adults and a 4-year-old child: after several inquiries at other hotels, we chose this hotel primarily because it allowed our son access to the pool, which is prohibited at most other hotels in the Val di Fassa. The spa is adults-only and is absolutely fine as a place of absolute relaxation, which isn't a good idea for children! Clearly, a family with children is looking for a place where they, above all, feel at home.
As soon as we arrived, we found ourselves in this place, which stole our hearts from the first moment. Everything was meticulously cared for, down to the smallest details, incredibly clean, the staff wonderful... breakfast caters to all tastes! Anyone who dines at the hotel will appreciate the quality of the food. I'd say we had a divine time. And I'd go back! Plus, it's just steps from Lake Carezza... super satisfied... parents and baby happy

At the beginning of September, we stayed at the Hotel Alpenrose for eight days. From the hotel, we took many beautiful tours over the passes of the Dolomites in our convertible.
The hotel is located in a very beautiful area.
Our room was spacious enough, had a balcony, and a great view.
The entire staff was very nice, always friendly, and helpful.
Both breakfast and dinner were excellent.
The spa area left nothing to be desired.
We felt extremely comfortable and would gladly come back.

We stayed only three days (alas) in this delightful hotel, and I can only give it five stars and a positive review. The hotel is very comfortable and charming, strategically located at the foot of the mountains and the Paolina chairlift. The service is excellent. The restaurant is superb. You can see from a mile away that there's attention to detail, care, and love in everything, and the personal attention that goes into managing the entire experience. It's worth noting that we booked that same afternoon, but once we arrived at dinner time, the staff, without asking, thought it best to save us a table in the restaurant; an attention we've never received before in any hotel, even a luxury one. The hotel has a very nice indoor-outdoor pool and a lovely lawn with comfortable gazebos and umbrellas for sunbathing and relaxing. The spa isn't very large, but it's intimate, well-maintained, and has everything you need. Finally, we took advantage of the excursion service organized by the hotel. Each day there are half a different program, suitable for every type of activity, from walks to bike rides, and to our surprise, they were included in the price. In short, I really don't know what to say, as every single aspect was commendable, so much so that we will definitely return and tell our friends about it.

Excellent gourmet cuisine with always fresh and well-prepared dishes. Very courteous and helpful staff. Plus the possibility of renting ebikes or skis directly at the hotel which also has a well-stocked bazaar. The spa is well sized, equipped and very clean. The gym is also well equipped. Overall recommended.

We've been coming to the Alpenrose Sports and Wellness Hotel for over 10 years now. This family-run hotel is simply a haven of tranquility. Here you can enjoy guided hikes, mountain bike tours, and motorcycle tours, and after an adventurous day, relax in the hotel's own spa or unwind with a wonderful massage. You can tell the hotel is family-run; here, the customer is truly king. The excellent cuisine deserves special mention, surprising you every day with new culinary delights. You can tell the products are sourced locally. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Alpenrose Hotel. I'm already looking forward to next year!

We had lunch for two on a rainy day.
The waitress, very efficient and friendly, informed us that they didn't have anything on the menu for us vegetarians. Then she contacted the kitchen and they quickly put together a generous mixed salad, homemade spaghetti alla chitarra with cherry tomatoes and burrata, and, to finish, excellent grilled vegetables. Everything was delicious and fresh. We found the ambiance to be exquisite and well-maintained.
We're giving it 4 stars due to a service mix-up (they served us spaghetti and grilled vegetables at the same time). The bill was a bit high, but considering the location, that's understandable. If I were passing by, I'd stop by again for lunch.

July 18-25, 2020. The hotel is beautiful, located between the Latemar and Catinaccio mountains. The room, a standard double, is spacious and comfortable, with a convenient bathroom. The restaurant is excellent, with generous portions, considering that the courses, in addition to a vegetable buffet, typically consist of an appetizer, a soup, a first course, a choice of two main courses, a dessert, and, if desired, a tasting of traditional cheeses. The hotel has a spa and a heated swimming pool that blends beautifully with the architecture and landscape. The garden has comfortable loungers for sunbathing and perhaps a drink. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Was nicht nur an dem herzlichen,(nicht aufgesetzen), freundlichem Empfang lag.
Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon, tip top Badezimmer, prima Aussicht auf den Latemar. Wir haben wunderbar geschlafen weil auch gute Matraze.
Das Frühstücksbuffet hat uns genaus herzlich empfangen wie das Personal. Man war ständig in der Versuchung das Frühstück länger auszudehnen als geplant weil so lecker. Im Wellnessbereich mit Schwimmingpool konnten wir den Tag Revue passieren lassen weil einfach alles stimmte. In sehr bequmer Hängeschaukel wurden wir mit herrlichem Sonnenuntergang am Latemar belohnt. Beim Abendessen wurden wir nochmal begeistert, sehr lecker und sehr aufmerksames Personal. Das familiengeführte Hotel macht sich echt einen Kopf, was sie ihren Gästen neben dem gebuchten noch bieten kann z. B. toll geführte Touren in die und über die Berge. Das Essen ist super lecker und abwechslungsreich. Der Heuschnaps nach einer Wanderung oder Essen legendär.
Draußen im warmen Pool, mit Blick auf die Dolomiten, entspannen, das ist Urlaub pur. Dankeschön & gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit einem wunderbaren Wellness- und Liegebereich, der sehr stillvoll angelegt ist.Das Schwimmbad mit herrlichem Blick auf den Latemar und Rosengarten, lädt sofort zum entspannen ein. Optimale Lage für Wanderer: direkt an der Sesselbahn und Bushaltestelle.
Emfpehlenswert ist der "Val Di Fassa Panorama Pass" inklusiv Busfahrkarte.
Nach einer Wanderung durch den Rosengarten freuten wir uns jeden Abend auf das sehr leckere Abendessen. Dies wurde hin und wieder mit einem kleinen Snack mit Aperetif im Garten begonnen.
Toll fanden wir auch die Terassenparty am Sonntag. Für das nächste Jahr wünschen wir uns einen Alpenrosen Cocktail.
Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Urlaub in der Alpenrose.

Buonissima cucina, ottimo chef, l’unico punto che sottolinierei, ma questo riguarda tutta la zona non in particolare l’Alpenrose, che ci si allontana dai piatti del territorio. Abbiamo mangiato l’ammatriciana ed un risotto giallo, cucinati molto bene dallo chef, che però vertono più su una cucina nazionale e non del territorio. Scoprire ricette antiche anche rivisitate sarebbe una chicca in più.
Per il resto tutto benissimo dal personale di sala, attentissimo e gentile, la camera bella e confortevole, la Spa piccola ma curata in ogni particolare. Siamo stati molto bene. Grazie.

Das Essen im Restaurant köstlich vorbereitet. Komplimenten an Konditor im Hotel! Sehr guter und gemütlicher wellness Bereich. Für Kinder: nette Kinderspielraum, Hotel ist direkt an schi piste und dadurch perfekt für Familien mit kleineren Kindern, benutzung vom Swimmingpool hat uns auch spass gemacht. Vielen dank!

Es gibt eigentlich nichts was uns nicht gefallen hat. Angefangen von der herzlichen Begrüssung, dem schönen Zimmer und der ausgezeichneten Bedinung. Hervorragend war das ausgezeichnete Abendessen. Von den Ausflugstipps waren wir auch begeistert. Leider mit dem Auto anstatt wie geplant mit den Motorrädern (was wir sicher nachholen werden). Alles in Allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub. A Carezza la primavera arriva tardi. Io sono capitata a giugno nel periodo della piena fioritura quindi, anche se il tempo è stato mutevole, ho potuto vedere la clematide, il botton d'oro, il non ti scordar di me, l'arnica e tanti altri fiori. L'Hotel Alpenrose di Carezza e' il fiore all'occhiello di Carezza. Confortevole, personale eccellente, buona cucina. Poi ora c'è una piscina modernissima. E' un albergo perfetto per coloro che vogliono trascorrere una vacanza tranquilla, respirare l'aria buona di questo luogo e godere della bellezza delle sue montagne.

Nice and comfortable hotel, although I would have expected more from a 4-star hotel. The restaurant is decent, but it's truly unacceptable to force guests to pay around 4 euros for bottled water. We weren't even allowed tap water, which is excellent in the mountains and is normal to drink, and they said it wasn't allowed due to "company policy." Immoral, in my opinion.

The Sporthotel Alpenrose is ideally located for hiking. Both challenging and easy hikes can be started directly from the hotel. A bus stop is also nearby, for trips to nearby Bolzano, for example. Our room was comfortably furnished. Depending on your orientation, the view was directly of the Rosengarten or Latemar. We had half board. The dinner was sumptuous and very good. If you don't eat just a snack at lunch, you're bound to gain weight despite all the hiking. We would be happy to return. The skiing is also excellent here. The ski area is small but beautiful.

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt im Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, gepflegt und sauber. Essen und Service waren auch sehr in Ordnung. Das Hotel veranstaltet geführte Wanderungen, was für mich als Alleinreisende sehr von Vorteil war. Insgesamt liegt das Hotel perfekt für viele Wanderungen.

Ein hervorragendes Hotel, bestens platziert, mit allen vorstellbaren Annehmlichkeiten. Die Küche ist ausgesprochen lecker und die Bedienung geht auf alle Wünsche der Gäste ein um sie nach deren Zufriedenheit zu lösen. Wir überlegen im Winter wieder zu kommen da der nahe gelegene Lift und die Skipisten zu einem Gemütlichen Tag predestiniert sind. Wenn es ein wenig sportlicher zugehen soll bring einen der Bus zur Sella-Ronda. Fazit: Immer wieder gerne
