I had a great time. And I thank the owner's daughter for her kindness... the only negative note is that Castelrotto is in Italy and you have to speak Italian. For the rest, I repeat, only compliments.

A truly fantastic stay in a magnificent place. The food is excellent and the spa is fabulous.
Aspects to improve: water is served in a carafe for a fee of €3.50, which, frankly, isn't a good thing for the price I paid.
Furthermore, the lunch buffet lacks variety for those staying for several days.
The staff didn't give us a tour of the property and all its amenities upon our arrival.
With a few adjustments, it could reach 5 stars.

I went for a hat bath and massage and compared to other offers in the are was unimpressed.
The massage was also not very good in that she didn’t use enough pressure and when asked to give a more of a sport massage was not trained.
Centrally located for those in Castelrotto and receptionists were nice.

Incredible experience, highly recommend! We booked this hotel very last minute and arrived late, after reception closed. The staff there helped us get in touch with reception and get us checked in. They went above and beyond to accommodate us! Since we arrived late, they took the included dinner off our bill and gave us an extra day at the spa for free, without even asking. Great customer service! Drinks at the rooftop pool were the highlight. We loved the view. Food was incredible all around. Dinner was plated nicely and had great flavors. It felt like a luxury experience, and the spas and saunas made it a relaxed atmosphere.
It was a short walk to the neighboring town, which is very quaint and cute. It was a 15 minute drive to Orteisi where you can catch a cable car to scenic views of the Dolomites.
The only cons I could think of:
-There aren’t great views from the rooms. Ours faced a grocery store parking lot, which got a little noisy in the morning.
-You get a wellness bag with a limited amount of towels. There is no easy way to get fresh towels at the spa if you run out from your wellness bag, so we had to reuse the towels at times.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the very first moment, we felt welcome and at home. The atmosphere among the guests was incredibly informal, which made the entire holiday special. The room was modern, spacious, and simply beautifully furnished—we immediately felt at home. The spacious spa area deserves special mention; it leaves nothing to be desired and ensures pure relaxation. And the food? Simply perfect! Varied, fresh, and of the highest quality. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable holiday.

An incredibly fantastic hotel for wellness, spa, and mountain lovers. Superbly beautiful, well-maintained rooms, first-class service in all areas, and exceptionally good food in every course. What a kitchen! The hotel's location is also fantastic, and everything is within easy reach. For lunch, there are delicious light snacks and plenty of salads, which you can even eat in your bathrobe. An all-around fantastic hotel. Ideal for couples and lovers.

Very nice structure, with excellent services and excellent cuisine. We stayed in February 2025 and we appreciated the indoor and outdoor pools which, in person, are better than the photos on the site, they are larger, there is counter-current swimming in the indoor one and there is a beautiful view in the outdoor one, which is warm and you can order cocktails directly from the pool at reasonable prices. The rooms are very well-kept, spacious and with a very particular lighting system. The cuisine is fantastic, from breakfast to dinner: nothing is missing and the quality of the food is excellent. I would like to point out that we have been to several 4 and 5 star hotels in Trentino but the Abinea is one of the best. The spa is also really excellent: attention to aesthetic details, very varied with different types of saunas and well-designed rooms and spaces.

Nice cozy hotel with great spa. Very courteous and friendly staff. Our room was also comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was always lovingly decorated.
The dinner and breakfast are particularly noteworthy; nothing to be desired is left unfulfilled here. I would like to thank the service staff in the dining area for their particularly nice manner.

Great wellness hotel with the opportunity for activities. We had the 3/4 luxury board. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. You can grab a snack at lunchtime. Here there was soup and a selection of sausage and cheese as well as delicious cakes. We particularly liked the panoramic pool, which is located on the roof of the hotel with a great mountain view. The staff was also very friendly and was able to answer all of our questions. The charging station for electric cars also works really well. You can start the loading process with your room card between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Costs: €0.60 / kw.
What we didn't like so much was that it was almost impossible to ventilate the room. There was ventilation in the bathroom, but it didn't work properly, although this was possible by opening the balcony door. An unpleasant smell kept coming through the pipes. But this was not always the case!
Overall, an absolute recommendation! Price-performance TOP!

Abinea is a paradise in Castelrotto.
I spent three days in total relaxation thanks to the wonderful spa, the wonderful heated outdoor pool overlooking the Sciliar, and above all the kindness and professionalism of all the staff who run this magnificent place.
A heartfelt thank you for the surprise you left for me on the morning of my birthday—no hotel had ever done that before.
If I really had to find a flaw, I'd change the shower products.
The positive reviews are all true; don't hesitate, and I invite everyone to visit Abinea.

Pure relaxation in fantastic surroundings!
Our stay at the Abinea Dolomiti Romantic SPA Hotel was completely relaxing! The location is perfect for a relaxing holiday in the mountains, with beautiful views and great hiking opportunities in the area.
We were particularly impressed by the beautiful SPA area - perfect for switching off after an active day. The various saunas, the infinity whirlpool and the relaxation room with mountain views are real highlights. The rooms are also very stylishly furnished and invite you to feel good.
The breakfast was excellent, with a large selection of fresh and local products. However, we would have liked a little more sophistication and variety at dinner. It was OK, but not at the level we would have expected from a hotel of this class.
Nevertheless: The service was warm and attentive, and the hotel itself offers a wonderful atmosphere. If you are looking for relaxation in the Dolomites, this is definitely the right place for you!

Abinea Dolomiti Romantic SPA it’s an Experience that it’s a must if you like to be spoiled. This hotel has everything you can imagine for a luxury mountain destination. Starting with an extraordinary SPA experience with all the facility and finish with an outstanding food. I can have enough words to describe the people courtesy and the hotel ambiance. Aspecting to taste a variety of seafood that you hardly find even in 5* hotels and to have an wonderful surprise with every meal. A special attention was received from Amine, Nicky and Silvia who made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you Abinea for make us an amazing holiday!

Experience from February 15 to 17, 2025:
The hotel is truly charming, with numerous wooden accents creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The reception is bright, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
I stayed in the Romantic room, featuring a round double bed, a fireplace, LED lights, and background music, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was comfortable, with a memory foam bed that was comfortable but a bit firm. A 6cm topper would have solved the firmness issue. There were two pillows: one memory foam and one softer, perhaps synthetic down. The duvet was single and probably synthetic (heavy); in a 4-star hotel in Trentino, I expected a goose down duvet.
The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was excellent, as was the soundproofing. I slept really well.
The spa area offers a wide selection of saunas, a saltwater grotto (though for me it was just a saltwater pool, with no salt on the walls or elsewhere), and a heated indoor pool with a whirlpool. Children under 14 are not allowed in the spa, as are the rooftop pool and adjacent sauna.
The rooftop pool, with its hot water and whirlpool, was truly wonderful. The view is exceptional and incredibly relaxing, although it's a shame there was no snow, but that's certainly not the hotel's fault.
Breakfast offers a wide selection of sweet and savory options, as well as numerous drinks. The option of making your own smoothies was a real treat.
Unfortunately, snack time was the only sour note of the stay: there was very little choice, and when one item ran out, it wasn't refilled, but replaced with another. Occasionally, I was told that extra food wasn't prepared because it sometimes went unsold. Furthermore, still water is offered free of charge at breakfast, dinner, and in the spa areas (both in the basement and on the 5th floor), but not during afternoon snack time (from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM). The water was sold at an excessive price, considering it was tap water. This small detail, in a hotel of this type, detracts from the hotel's rating, especially considering the cost of the stay.
The dinner was excellent. The courses were numerous but well-balanced, allowing guests to finish the meal without feeling too full. Compliments to the chef.
The hotel staff was kind, helpful, cheerful, and professional. Compliments to everyone!
It was a truly relaxing two days.
The center of Castelrotto is very charming, with its bell tower and a walk that leads to the hill where the most remote settlement is located. From there, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the village, the valley, and the peaks of the Dolomites.
The Mobilcard, which allows free use of all public transportation in Trentino, is very convenient. We used it both in Bolzano and on our way to Ortisei.
The underground parking was very convenient, especially with the freezing temperatures and freezing nights.
In short, an excellent relaxing experience for body and mind, with quality food. Recommended!

Wonderful vacation days spent here from January 25th, 2025 to February 2nd, 2025. The location is great, the bus stop is right in front of the house. The bus ride to the Seiser Alm ski area takes about 10 minutes.
We had the garden room, which was spacious and modern. Unfortunately, we didn't fully understand how to regulate the heating - the heaters were off in the morning and evening, but the radiators ran hot during the day when we weren't there. The result - our swimming gear and towels from the evening were still very damp in the morning.
The whole hotel is lovingly furnished with lots of small details, everything seems very clean and well maintained. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.
The massages are definitely recommended. The wellness facility is really beautifully done. Unfortunately, more and more people are confusing the relaxation rooms with conference rooms; people talk loudly and even make phone calls.
And of course, as usual - ALL loungers are diligently occupied and reserved, without the towel holders sitting down on these loungers just once.
The highlight: the pools - BOTH WARM! It is very rare that hotel pools have such a pleasant temperature as in thermal baths. Of course that was great. The Skypool and the roof garden are really nice and on Saturdays we were even able to swim until 10:30 p.m.
The food was very good, although I have to say - if you don't particularly like fish and seafood, you won't have an easy time at the starter buffet :-) There were salads and fish, a lot of fish :-)
However, the remaining dishes were good and I found something delicious on the menu every evening.

We visited this wellness center on a Sunday with the day spa package with breakfast. I couldn't fault the kindness and hospitality of the staff, both at reception and in the breakfast room. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.
As for the wellness center, it was meticulously maintained in every detail. Very well-maintained and clean. It's a shame that two of the hydromassage pool seats weren't working, and the spa staff was virtually absent.

A 4-star superior hotel. You pay a bit for a hotel of this category, perhaps too much for some, but for what you get, it's understandable. The rooms are top-notch, modern but with the warm, typical Tyrolean charm. All of them, from the simplest to the superior ones, are beautiful. Some have whirlpools and other amenities right in the room. Superb wellness services, various saunas, not too large, with a maximum of 8 people, while the panoramic one on the upper floor seats about 20 and has a mountain view. An interesting thing is that if you share the sauna with friends or even just your partner, it's unlikely anyone will come in and invade your privacy. On the upper floor, a beautiful outdoor pool with heated water overlooks the mountains, allowing you to admire the 360-degree panorama. It's beautiful even when it's snowing, captivating. There's also a swimming pool inside. There are private rooms where, by reservation, you can relax with your partner in total tranquility for 1 or 2 hours with a whirlpool and sauna for 2 people. What about massages and treatments? Maybe after a day on the slopes, you can relax with a massage from our expert staff who will pamper you. It's something you should try at least once in your life.

We stayed here for 6 days and have nothing to complain about. The hotel is very clean (including the public areas), the service is very good, and the food (breakfast, snacks, and dinner) is extensive and good. It would be ideal if the buffet selections were labeled (vegetarian or allergens) and if there were a clothes rack on the balconies.
Otherwise, a truly fantastic hotel with a good starting point for numerous hikes, a bus stop right outside the front door, and a fantastic wellness area. Contrary to many other reviews, we never had any trouble finding a spot. If you have the time, you should definitely treat yourself to a massage.
We also liked that this hotel is primarily adult-friendly and there were hardly any children in the hotel.
We would come back.

A true paradise in the Dolomites. We spent two fantastic days in this very clean spa equipped with every comfort. The room was wonderful, spotlessly clean, with a whirlpool tub and electric fireplace, overlooking the Dolomites.
The staff were extremely kind and helpful. I can only say that upon
my return, I couldn't find my engagement ring. I remembered I'd left it in my spa bag, and they took great care to keep me updated on everything. Luckily, my ring was found, and they took care of shipping it safely via private courier so I wouldn't lose it, all carefully packaged.
The breakfast was very generous, not to mention the dinner buffet, which filled us up with that alone, in addition to the menu we chose as soon as we arrived at the hotel... I highly recommend this and hope to return soon

Loved this place. All the way from registration to checking out, wonderful experience overall. Rooms were great. Came with balcony so you could sit out and enjoy the fresh air. Friendly staff. The garage is super tight parking so hope you can park in tight spots. I loved how you were assigned a seat in the dining room so you could come and sit down at your leisure without having to guess the good times to go. I had a younger gentleman. He was super nice, and had great English. He was a great and kind server which I appreciated. Another benefit was that you were provided a bus ticket which got you to most of the main hikes in the area so you didn’t need to worry about attempting to find parking. Kindness was shown by all staff. They made sure they went out of their way. Customer service at its finest. Great spa areas, and wonderful pool area.

Beyond all expectations, we stayed 5 nights in a ROMANTIC, the background music, the colored lights and the fireplace made everything even more relaxing. Never seen a Spa like this in a 4 star hotel, high level cuisine with a super varied and abundant initial buffet, I'm very picky but there wasn't a dish I didn't try among those offered and every evening I thought I'd never eaten something better, and if you wanted every evening you could choose both classic first and second courses to satisfy everyone's tastes. The swimming pool on the terrace is a real gem.

The hotel is very good with very nice staff. The food is also excellent. The only drawback is that the rooms are not air conditioned. You have to keep the balcony door open overnight otherwise it is unbearably hot in the room. That's not the problem either. Unfortunately it's not quiet outside at night. Vehicles, people and sometimes dogs driving past keep you from sleeping. It also gets light very early, you can't darken it because the door has to stay open because of the cool air. So be sure to take a sleeping mask or something similar with you.

We had such an amazing stay at Abinea! The room was so comfortable, and the rooftop pool and indoor spa area were perfect to relax after a hike. The cake put on day after we returned from our hike was a particular highlight. And the food was excellent throughout our stay, loved every menu that was served each evening, with particular thanks to our waitress Maya who was so nice and attentive, and gave us excellent wine recommendations!

Dinner was sensational. It's also great that there are alternatives.
The pools are a nice size. The hotel is very centrally located between the hiking areas. The bus stop is right outside the entrance.

We stayed for a few days, we really had a great time, the hotel is wonderful, very elegant, clean, welcoming, the staff is very kind, well-prepared, and have a kind manner that makes you feel at ease, hospitable and ready to satisfy every need. The room we took was a ROMANTIC, it really reflects the name, very spacious, with many lights, some colored with the possibility of deciding the graduation, relaxing music, and the balcony, furthermore there was an electric fireplace, TV, hairdryer and everything you needed, a delicious smell that lingered in the room that I still remember, the excellent clean spacious spa with all the comforts, with various types of saunas, Turkish bath, salt cave with hydromassage etc., they offer the herbal teas, fruit, dried fruit and all types of tea... the water has a warm temperature and the environment is very quiet..
Gourmet food which has very high levels of flavor and aesthetics, abundant dishes and there is the possibility of choosing from the menu what you prefer according to your tastes, in the sense: you can choose between two first courses, two second courses, two side dishes, and if you don't like both proposals, you can always choose something else based on what they offer, but I can assure you that even the most picky person, or those with eating disorders of any kind, will certainly find the alternative they prefer... also breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner, they start with a super buffet...
The restaurant is very elegant, the tables set with high professionalism, a vast choice of incredible wines...
We thought for days about a negative point, but we didn't find even one... there is nothing in this place that isn't right, or that I would like to change... not even thinking about it for hours and hours... we've toured many places, many hotels, hotels, restaurants but this remains one of the top in the ranking... that is, think of one thing, it's there... think of a criticism, you'll never find it..
Also for parking, there is the possibility of putting the car in the garages, which then directly access the hotel... I have read negative reviews, but in my opinion they were from frustrated people... (no offense though)

My wife and I were able to spend a few days in this wonderful hotel. It was the first time, but definitely not the last time, that we were guests at the Abinea Dolomiti Romantic. The quality in every respect is excellent. Super friendly staff, always attentive and helpful. The wellness and bathing area was very clean and well maintained. The same applies to the rooms. The cuisine is sensational and very versatile. There are also only good things to say about the attentive and friendly service staff. We have stayed at this spa resort on multiple occasions; beautiful and welcoming a stone's throw from the center of Castelrotto; not absolutely the best you can find but still a good compromise, nice wooden rooms, good spa area, perhaps the only flaw is a single outdoor swimming pool which is a little... very good breakfast and dinner, convenient parking, friendly staff... decent price, after having "seen" others with the same requirements, slightly above average... there would be some details to improve, to try in any case!

My partner and I spent a day spa at Abinea. They offer many packages, and we booked the package with breakfast, day spa, and gourmet dinner, and we were very satisfied.
The parking lot isn't huge, but they helped us find a spot right away.
The day was great, and I absolutely recommend the place.
If I could offer constructive criticism, it would be the following:
- sauna areas are nudist-only.
- the changing rooms are small and don't have a shower inside; you have to go to the wellness area, which is a bit inconvenient.
Excellent food, as well as service.
The outdoor heated pool is definitely the highlight of the place.

A welcoming, intimate, and warm atmosphere, not the typical tourist crowd.
There are numerous saunas where you can relax, and two beautiful pools, one of which is on the terrace. The list could be long, but for those of us who are used to day spas, it's definitely a place we recommend.
For lunch, you can either use the bar or they offer a generous buffet from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, which is sure to fill you up!
If we had to find any small drawbacks, which we hope will help them improve further, they'd be the lack of dedicated showers for everyone who wants to end the day at the spa. And the pool temperature isn't particularly warm compared to other spas.
Nothing that would make you say, "I won't go here," on the contrary. The prices are also absolutely average.

The room was just the right size, with all the comforts, spotlessly clean, and no outside noise. The spa is very well equipped, clean, and the staff is always available. The panoramic pool is truly stunning. The food is excellent, always varied and plentiful. All the services offered are designed to truly please everyone, even those of us who had a dog. The hotel is located just a few meters from the center of Castelrotto. The wooden interiors, rooms, and dining room are beautiful. The spa is stunning, featuring numerous relaxation areas and saunas of all kinds. There are also two pools, one indoor and one outdoor, with panoramic views of both the bell tower and the mountain. The outdoor pool sometimes stays open until 10:30 PM. The breakfast was excellent, offering everything from sweet to savory. The afternoon snack was generous, as was the dinner buffet, which always included salads, a variety of cheeses, and cured meats. In my opinion, the dinner options could be improved; they were very good, but I would have expected a little more.
Special mention goes to the hotel's owners, who refunded the deposit already paid to a couple of our friends who, unfortunately, couldn't come at the last minute and stayed with us. You were truly kind, and this was greatly appreciated.
Plus, on the day of check-out, they let us use the spa for a few more hours.
Excellent service at the reception.
Thanks again, we'll definitely be back.

We had a Day Spa in Abinea and it was great.
The complex is beautiful, the service is great, the time was well-spent. It is full of various saunas, places to have a rest, to have a fresh drink and even a snack.
The outdoor pool is stunning both when it’s sunny and when it’s already dark, the sauna next to it had a noce view too.
With 75€ x person for the whole day, we had a merenda included, plus we could order drinks, paying apart.

The wellness area is small but nice, the grotto and the sky pool are wonderful. The facility is nice. The staff is very friendly, but perhaps a bit understaffed. In itself a very great hotel with a very high standard.
The food in the evening was really great. We have rarely eaten so well in a hotel in the evening.
We were also able to borrow free climbing gear (and good ones) from the hotel. An absolute ++ point.
The only drawback, which is unfortunately negative for me personally, is that there are other buildings directly to the left and right of the hotel and that makes it really loud. As some have already written, we were on the M-price parking lot page.
Delivery is open every morning at 7:00 a.m. and until 7:00 p.m. in the evening. It's correspondingly restless on the balcony.
I would therefore recommend the hotel in winter because you can leave everything there and you won't notice anything from the outside. Since the rooms don't have air conditioning, it gets very warm in summer.
However, rooms are very clean and well maintained.

We're on our honeymoon
Spent 5 nights at the Hotel Abinea and felt absolutely comfortable.
Nothing was missing. We booked the Romantic Room with music, fireplace and king-size bed. We also booked the decorated room with heart balloons, 2 glasses of champagne and rose petals and the cuddly package with 2x full body massage, a bouquet of flowers, an Abinea cuddly blanket and 2 glasses of champagne. Absolutely nothing is left to be desired. The food was masterclass, the sky pool was very, very great and the wellness area was great.
We would particularly like to praise Marlies, who really fulfilled our every wish at dinner and asked every day how we were doing and whether we had enjoyed the day. Thank you for the lovely honeymoon, we would love to come back ️

We spent our honeymoon at Abinea and can't understand the few bad reviews at all.
We had a romantic room with a great lighting and music concept, which was definitely worth the extra charge for us. We never noticed the delivery to the supermarket, even though our room was also on that side. Rooms very clean and nicely decorated.
The food is absolutely great! There is a lot to choose from at breakfast and the salad and antipasti buffet in the evening is also very varied. The menu in the evening was always perfectly tailored to the different courses, and there were some regional and seasonal dishes. Everything was very tasty, absolutely sufficient and well prepared. We were able to eat 7 menus and it was all very varied, also because there was a grill buffet for the main course, sometimes the starter was prepared directly at the buffet as "live cooking" or the dessert was served from the buffet. So there was always a lot of variety.
The service was always very good, attentive and very friendly. We can particularly highlight Marlies, who served us for dinner. She always took the time to ask about our day, drinks and food were at the table super quickly and overall she is such a warm, lovely person that she made dinner sweeter for us every day. We were always greeted and served in a friendly manner by the entire service staff. Most of them speak German, but honestly, we are here in Italy. I don't think it's so bad to have to communicate in English (but it was never necessary for us).
We also had an hour at the private spa, a scrub and a full body massage as part of a honeymoon package. The massage was especially great. There is a huge selection of beauty treatments, really great!
The spa area is also great. We only used the lower area once, many different saunas, great relaxation area, nice warm pool. We had great weather at the end of September and were always in the Sky Pool and the Panorama Sauna. Both are great, but especially the drinks service. Drinking a cocktail, sitting in the warm water and with a magnificent view - what more could you want.
For us the price-performance ratio was definitely right. We talked to some regular guests and we will definitely come again!

We spent 4 wonderful days here, the pre-ordered birthday surprise for my wife, 1 bouquet of red roses, 2 glasses of prosecco, the bed decorated with rose petals was perfect, the wellness area was great, the roof terrace with infinity pool and the various lounges was very nice, unfortunately the deck chairs are a bit scarce, what is completely missing is a garden with lawn... what was a bit unusual was that you had to get the café yourself from the buffet (perhaps we are a bit spoiled by other houses). The breakfast buffet was rich, the afternoon snack with sweet and savory items was exceptional, and the dinner was very tasty and varied. Highly recommended for a romantic short trip.

There are two heated pools, one in the spa area and the other on the terrace. I also had a very nice relaxing massage. The snack buffet is readily available, and as soon as something ran out, it was replaced. Both sweet and savory options are available (drinks are not included). The atmosphere is very welcoming and well-maintained throughout. I noticed a lot of dedicated staff throughout the property, and we were able to park conveniently in the garage. When you arrive they show and explain you everything. In one day you have enough time to explore the whole spa. The sky pool and sauna opens in the afternoon. We had a dayspa with a gourmet dinner in this hotel, a unique experience, from the outside the structure looked small but once we entered we immersed ourselves in an incredible spa with many relaxation areas, saunas of various types, swimming pools and even a dedicated space tea and dried fruit, the sky pool was beautiful and the sauna on the top floor had a beautiful view. In the early afternoon a snack was opened at. Buffet with desserts but also pasta for those who haven't had lunch. We chose this structure for its proximity to the center of Castelrotto and for the interesting SPA, and I must say that our expectations were not disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and well soundproofed; only note: the shower deserves a nice shower head in addition to the hand shower.
The cuisine is very good: excellent quality raw materials, careful plating, good variety; well-calibrated wine list. It's just a shame about the service: the number of waiters in the room was not well-proportioned to the guests present and often led to long waits.
The SPA is decidedly interesting, with various saunas and relaxation areas; the intriguing rooftop with infinity pool and panoramic Finnish sauna; all prerequisites for enjoying moments of true relaxation, unfortunately betrayed by the exuberance of guests who perhaps should be educated to behave more in keeping with the place.

In the sauna area, where swimsuits are prohibited, almost everyone enters in their swimsuits anyway and often sits on the benches without a towel, leaving them soaked in sweat when they leave. Even at check-in, no one explains how to behave in the saunas.

There are many saunas and two swimming pools with heated water, one inside and the other on the 5th floor on the fantastic roof, breathtaking view, beautiful to enjoy the sunset while immersed in the heated water and it was -4 outside. The very nice and large relaxation area with several loungers where you can relax and drink excellent herbal teas. If you are in the area, we recommend stopping by for a relaxing afternoon. I stayed here with my boyfriend for 5 days and I must say that we have never found a hotel of these standards, everything perfect, breathtaking room and fabulous food not to mention the very kind and helpful staff, I give a preference to Miriam and Phin who were really helpful and very kind to us!! We will return to this fabulous hotel thanks for everything.

I've stayed at this property twice. The hotel is very well-maintained, and the staff is welcoming and attentive to guests' needs.
The bar and restaurant are well-managed, with dishes prepared with attention to detail.
The spa and relaxation area, including the panoramic pool on the fifth floor, are the jewels in the crown of this property.
The spa always offers a selection of herbal teas with dried and fresh fruit.
The spaces are well-managed and clean.
Definitely a property worth trying for a romantic and totally relaxing experience.

We stayed at the Abinea for a long weekend.
The parking garage is very tight; luckily, we didn't have an SUV with us, which makes parking difficult.
The lady at the reception was friendly.
The hotel feels very inviting and cozy.
We had the Romantic Room, which was beautifully decorated with small details.
The breakfast was incredible; I've never had anything like it before; absolutely everything was there, and there was variety every day.
The staff in the restaurant was incredibly friendly; I've rarely been treated so well. We also received excellent advice on the wine selection.
There was a 5-course menu every evening.
We rented the private spa, Rasul Bath. The room was beautifully decorated. However, a few flaws came to light: the water in the Jacuzzi was dirty, and the edge for getting in was broken, with splinters lying around. There was mold in the corner by the shower.
We mentioned it and complained, but we felt a bit taken for a ride. As an apology, we received a plastic bottle with Abinea branding on it.
Nevertheless, it was a lovely afternoon. My massage afterwards was very relaxing, thank you, Sylvia! Unfortunately, my boyfriend had a less competent massage therapist, and the massage was very unpleasant and a bit shorter than he paid for.
The wellness area is really great, as is the rooftop pool.

Cleanliness of the room 3.5 stars. Our room was close to the bar/elevator. Volume in the evening i.e. very late, also very loud. Of course everyone feels differently. Breakfast is plentiful. Dinner was also very good. Service good. Hannes was a top employee behind and in front of the bar. Respect. Wellness area was great 5 stars. View from the roof terrace, wonderful. There's nothing wrong with that.

The only observation I feel like making is the lack of aufguss during the weekend and the essences in the saunas which in my opinion are important.

My husband and I stayed first in early August to celebrate my husband's birthday. The room with a whirlpool was beautiful and romantic, and all the services we requested were perfect. The massage was also excellent. The spa area was lovely. We returned now, the last week of August, with our daughter as well. Assuming the holiday was perfect, we had a wonderful time at the hotel. The room (superior) was beautiful and spacious, very clean, excellent food, and everyone was very kind and helpful. My daughter had a wonderful time and was very sad to leave. A truly beautiful property with a very romantic atmosphere that permeates almost everywhere... from the room with the ibex in love, to the stunning transparent pool on the top floor, to the wellness center and the salt cave, not to mention the excellent dinners and hearty afternoon snacks. We spent a week here for our honeymoon. The room was a daydream, the spa is fantastic. The heated swimming pools, in particular the panoramic one, are the flagship of this wonderful hotel. The location is very central and truly strategic. the town of Castelrotto was a beautiful discovery. The structure is close to every single service and a few steps from the town center. Next door there is a well-stocked supermarket and it is very close to the ski resorts. The food is incredible and the staff really fantastic. It was an experience we will never forget

Recently renovated hotel one hundred meters from the center of Castelrotto (one of the most beautiful villages in Italy).
Very welcoming and cuddly room.
Clean environment both in the room and in the common areas.
The SPA is wonderful, one of the most beautiful and complete I have seen. Very large, it has a pine cone stone sauna, a bio hay sauna, a Swiss pine sauna, cold room with ice fountain, steam bath, salt cave with hydromassage pool, Kneipp path, infrared cabin, hydromassage tubs for feet, swimming pool as well as various relaxation areas. But the strong point is on the fifth floor where there is a panorama sauna and another heated swimming pool where you can enjoy a view that leaves you speechless.
I've gone on a bit but I think it deserves a detailed description because the SPA is not a nice common spa like you find in all niche hotels but it is much more.
The only thing missing is the gym.
Discreet food, basic breakfast, however all the basic elements are found from sweet to savory.
Friendly staff, good bartenders.
Excellent value for money.
I also recommend this hotel for its strategic position, it is in fact very close to Ortisei, but with the bus service you can get around Bressanone and Bolzano easily and in a short time. Among other things, the stop is in front of the structure but in any case the station is about a hundred meters away.

The spa is spread over two floors: on the first floor there is the indoor swimming pool, different types of rooms and relaxation areas, many saunas and much more; on the fifth floor there is the terrace with swimming pool and panoramic view of the Siusi Alps, a spectacle!
I absolutely loved the food, everything was delicious, and the presentation was also very nice.

The food is excellent, the breakfast buffet is outstanding and very varied.
The rooms are pleasant, clean and big enough; Our room (202) overlooks the parking lot of a grocery store, which is currently under construction. So it's already loud in the morning.

is big enough so that people can spread out well, the lying areas are pleasant and varied, the sauna areas are good; The two pools are a good size, but the water is a bit too cold, but the temperature is still enough for swimming laps;
The staff is courteous, polite and attentive;

Long weekend, super comfort. The difference at this hotel is the courtesy of the staff, especially the receptionist.
There was a small misunderstanding between our request and the booking for the chosen dates, but upon our arrival they were able to resolve it perfectly.
They put us in a new suite that hadn't yet been advertised, and then the next day they moved us to our chosen room.
We also received a complimentary hour in the private spa.
The kindness of the staff and the romantic atmosphere of this hotel deserves a 5-star rating.
I definitely recommend it, especially for couples.
In my personal opinion, the breakfast buffet could be improved, while the dinner menu deserves a special mention: elaborate and carefully prepared traditional dishes. Excellent delights for the palate.

Truly WONDERFUL experience! The hotel has recently been renovated so everything is new and very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and speaks Italian and German. It also has a beautiful spa with a swimming pool, 3 saunas, a private spa, a salt cave, a panoramic swimming pool and much more. The restaurant offers refined and very varied cuisine with a very rich appetizer buffet. It has internal parking for guests and the rooms are fantastic. Mine had a whirlpool and 2 bathrooms, lights and music to create atmosphere and a sauna. I really had a great time. The prices are higher than average but they are ABSOLUTELY worth it! I had a dream week with my wife thanks to all the staff.

Fantastic location and highly rated hotel. Comfortable room in a quiet area (only problem, as it is adjacent to a supermarket, when they unload supplies at 8). Abundant breakfast buffet as well as the "snack" where the big problem is resisting sweets....with an assortment beyond imagination. The dinner was good, starting with a buffet full of vegetables and fish/meat and then continuing with courses whose choice is made at breakfast. The only note, perhaps, is that of a choice between two options (first and second); obviously better if there were 3, thus approaching an almost à la carte menu. An additional choice of fruit in addition to dessert/cheese would also be good, but let's get into the details. Fabulous rooftop swimming pool where you can relax after returning from fantastic efforts for unforgettable walks.... sunbathing and swimming while looking out over the Sciliar. Excellent SPA, where you can swim in another beautiful pool. Attentive and courteous staff, large garage where you can forget the car.... Too bad it's over.

Wonderful spa with a fantastic roof terrace and pool. The wellness area has something to offer for all sauna fans. Unfortunately the restaurant was not satisfactory, hence a star deduction. Unfriendly service and wrong dish. They wanted to discuss that the goat cheese was Camembert. After 2 conversations the error was recognized.
However, the spa staff and drink service were excellent. It is very worthwhile to spend a relaxing day there.

The hotel is truly beautiful. It has large rooms furnished in fine wood.
The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is huge.
The shower is really big.
The spa kit is provided, i.e. bathrobe, slippers and towel.
The room is spotless.
Upon arrival you are offered a glass of prosecco.
The spa corner is equipped with swimming pools, saunas and Turkish baths. There is a really pleasant relaxation corner also with waterbeds.
There is also a massage and beauty centre.
Dinner was an exception, 5 courses plus a truly rich buffet.
The breakfast was very rich and delicious. During your stay they also offer a snack.
There is an outdoor swimming pool where in winter you can delight in a wonderful view and there is also a panoramic sauna.
The costs for accommodation are excellent.

I stayed as a couple for a relaxing weekend. Very clean, well-kept and well-organised spa. Small but well-kept wellness center. I tried a hotstone massage and it was so worth it. The indoor pool is small but well made. The winner is the top floor terrace with a swimming pool with a wonderful view of the mountains and Castelrotto. The well-organized room, all in very fragrant wood.
Excellent services available.
Very rich breakfast for all tastes. Afternoon buffet. Nice buffet of starters and vegetables for dinner. In my opinion, the evening menu needs to be reviewed. But overall the cuisine is also good.

We were at the hotel for a day spa. Overall, it was very relaxing. Although it was very crowded and it was difficult to get a spot to lie down. We also had to share a locker, which was too small for two people (normally each person gets one). Nevertheless, the hotel is very nicely decorated; the "vitarium alpinum" (the sauna area), which opens at 1 p.m., is beautifully furnished and illuminated. For the first time, I've seen an automatic footbath in a hotel, and it was very pleasant. The highlight for us, however, was the infinity panorama pool on the roof terrace on the top floor (open from 12 p.m.). The water temperature is perfect, really pleasantly warm, and the view of Castelrotto is beautiful. Lunch is à la carte and we enjoyed it very much. Also, compliments to the waiter; he was very nice and accommodating, as were the rest of the staff. Finally, a note: we didn't know if and where we could shower before heading home, so we decided not to.
Overall, it was a successful and relaxing day.

Shortly before Christmas we stayed in this beautiful hotel in Castelrotto for the first time and were absolutely thrilled. The very creative cuisine is excellent and made every dinner the highlight of the day. We were also impressed by the service. All the staff were always very polite and professional. The wellness area with several saunas and pools is very large and modern. We particularly liked the infinity sky pool on the roof. The room was very clean and our spa suite with its own whirlpool was amazing anyway. This hotel is highly recommended and quality of this level is not often found.

Pleasantly surprised by their kindness, attention to detail, and promptness in responding to our emails, I decided to request a quote and then book.
They ensured a peaceful stay for us, accompanied by our Chihuahua.
We were greeted with smiles and cold drinks and escorted to a huge room with an equally large bathroom, equipped with every comfort.
I was able to use the pool in the wellness area, one of the most beautiful views ever, immersed in a unique sense of peace and tranquility.
The open-air pool on the fifth floor, in addition to offering a breathtaking view, is heated, meticulously maintained, and equipped with comfortable loungers and truly beautiful relaxation areas.
The breakfast was superb, and the evening à la carte menu, besides being varied and lively, was full of something that can and should never be missing in the kitchen: passion.
The afternoon dessert buffet is always well-stocked, and it's very convenient to be able to go up in your bathrobe and enjoy a pleasant sweet interlude sitting outside in the cool air.
The staff, absolutely all of them, were incredibly kind and helpful.
I don't remember any dining room or bar staff being so helpful. They never showed interest in our daily lives, provided advice, and explained menus and traditions like they did here.

No negative things. Perhaps being picky is the fact that water isn't provided and is considered extra, but it seems to me that's the case everywhere in these areas.
Highly recommended.

Our stay started with arriving to glasses of champagne and just improved from there. Dinner was fantastic and breakfast was even better. Literally the biggest breakfast spread I’ve ever seen. There are some beautiful areas only 30 minutes from this area. Seiser Alm, Lago di Carezza, Val di Funes.
The spa is amazing. And the fact that it’s all included in the cost of your stay made it that much better. You should set aside at least a day to spend in the rooftop pool, spa area, and downstairs pool.

Superlative wellness center, saunas, and pools.
On the fifth floor, there's a hot tub with a whirlpool and a terrace with canopy loungers. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the village of Castelrotto.
The spa is spotless and well-maintained, and the relaxation areas with colorful water mattresses and hay rooms are special.
Excellent dinner and a fantastic breakfast selection.

We are staying here for our 25th anniversary. There is a stunning view, pool, and cabanas on the rooftop 5th floor. They have an excellent selection of food for breakfast and dinner.
The bartender is extremely qualified to make ANY and all drinks. The guy is actually fluent in English, Italian, and German, and he obviously loves his job. Great sense of humor too.
This hotel is totally NEW, modern upgrades throughout, and free wifi. The staff are thoroughly knowledgeable about the area and nearby towns. They also know every detail of this hotel and go out of their way to please you and make you feel welcome.
It is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, or relaxing.
There is ski and bike storage and underground parking.
My only wish would be a private hot tub, but I have not asked.... maybe they have one?! I am still here, so, we will see.

Beautiful, modern rooftop pool (heated) - although it can get a bit crowded in the afternoons (due to the large number of guests in a small space).
Due to the location in the middle of Castelrotto, it's somewhat squeezed between other buildings, so there's no room for a sunbathing lawn, for example.
The "guest card" allows free use of public transport - but cable cars and lifts are not included (there are other cards in South Tyrol, which are better).
Free parking in the hotel's underground garage.
Not so good:
Wi-Fi/internet is very slow - especially in the evenings.
Conclusion: We stayed here for a week and would recommend the hotel.

Beautiful, modern hotel. Shopping and the village center are within 5 minutes' walk. The valley station in Siusi can be reached by car or bus in 10 minutes.
Very nice and clean wellness area (several saunas, a very nice panoramic sauna on the roof, a steam bath, cold room, salt cave) is unfortunately only accessible to children 14 and up without supervision. The rooftop pool is spacious and also visually appealing. The staff is very friendly, and pre-check-in always works perfectly (no paperwork on site upon arrival).
The food is very delicious and always beautifully presented, with a good selection on offer. Half Board Plus is definitely recommended.
There's potential for improvement, especially with the Wi-Fi, which is currently quite slow (the bandwidth has apparently been limited on the guest network). Down: 3.5 Mbps Up: 500 kBit/s (40-second measurement time).
It would also be welcome if the minimum age for the wellness area were set at 16 years. This is definitely a place of rest and relaxation for adults.
A visit is definitely worth it for a few days of wellness and hiking/snow sports in the region.
The price/performance ratio is definitely good, and garage parking is available free of charge.

This hotel can only be recommended. Great service. Very well maintained rooms and spa area. The wellness and spa area is also very spacious and varied. I would book here again at any time.

Because even if I haven't tried it "yet" in person, I'm sure that the place, the staff, the cuisine are looked after with professionalism... plus, it's on my beloved DOLOMITES!!

It was a really nice weekend in what I consider to be one of the most beautiful wellness hotels in South Tyrol - great service - everything is equipped with love - super nice staff - at the reception, in the restaurant and also in the wellness area. All of our wishes were fulfilled - it's rare to experience so much service! We were able to enjoy a hotstone massage, which was super pleasant and very relaxing. The Alpine sauna with a panoramic view was a highlight for us, an incredible view - we also enjoyed the whirlpool with 38 degree water temperature on the roof terrace in the sun. So if you are looking for a hotel in South Tyrol, the Hotel Abinea in Castelrotto is a good choice! Thank you very much for such a lovely stay. We'd love to come back! Kind regards Katrin & Alex

I recently stayed at the Hotel Abinea in Castelrotto in South Tyrol with my girlfriend for 3 nights. We are really spoiled but this 4 star wellness hotel really impressed us. The wellness and spa area with 4-5 different saunas was particularly awesome.

This quality hotel has all the necessary infrastructure for a mountain stay dedicated to well-being. The surrounding nature of rare beauty, a very pretty Spa with swimming pool, sauna area and treatment cabins, a roof garden terrace with a view of the surrounding landscape, comfortable and cozy rooms, tasty cuisine and a hospitable welcome contribute to making a stay a precious moment

Arriving at Abinea feels like “coming home”.
Beautiful house, very clean, good kitchen, what more could you want to recover from the stress of everyday life? Added to this is the great location, relatively centrally located in South Tyrol, so that you can easily explore the country and its people in all directions - or even do without a car altogether.
The biggest asset of the house is the team.
Keep it up, see you next year.
Edit June 11, 2014: now "next year" is over again and it was another wonderful vacation, the 5th at Abinea. And again “see you next year”.
Note, I could have written this in 2013: the range of gluten-free alternatives to the “normal” dishes is particularly exemplary; you don’t experience that everywhere.

I've rarely stayed at such a good hotel! Very friendly, attentive staff, excellent food, and a very nice wellness area!
