We stayed at the Granpanorama Hotel Stephanshof in September 2025 with four people and were very impressed with the hotel, its fantastic location with stunning views of the Eisack Valley, and the exceptionally friendly staff in all areas.
We stayed in the lovely, spacious tower room and had a wonderful holiday both at the hotel and in the surrounding area, including the Villanders-Alm.
The hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended for a fantastic holiday.

It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience staying at the Stephanshof.
I must commend the staff in every way. At both breakfast and dinner, I never felt ignored or bothered and was always well looked after.
The location is absolutely ideal, and the panoramic views are magnificent.
The spa is a bit dated, but by no means bad. The sauna area offered a good and varied selection, and the swimming pool and whirlpool are perfect.
All in all, a very nice and enjoyable experience.

An enchanting location with a perfect atmosphere. The welcome is excellent, everything is explained very well, and the rooms are elegantly and comfortably furnished. The food is top-quality and the flavor is unique. We chose the 3/4 option: Every day at breakfast, you'll receive the evening menu, along with recommendations for activities and hotel offers. With the Alto Adige Card, you can reach all tourist destinations free of charge by bus, train, and, once a day, by cable car. Compliments to the dining room staff: extremely kind and excellent! Superb stay!

Beautiful hotel with truly excellent amenities.
Pros:
• Excellent breakfast and dinner.
• Very friendly and helpful staff.
• Clean room with all the amenities described during booking.
Cons:
To reach the hotel, you have to travel along a relatively steep road with sharp bends. There's not much nearby, so I recommend it for those who want to relax, not as a strategic base for exploring the surrounding area.

Very beautiful location with the right ambience. Reception is excellent, everything is explained very well, and the rooms are beautifully and comfortably furnished. As a special treat, you can choose a 6-course meal in the evening for 16 euros per person. The food is of a very high standard and the taste is unique. Every day at breakfast you get the current evening menu to choose from, along with recommendations for activities and offers from the hotel. With the South Tyrol Card you can reach all tourist destinations free of charge by bus, train, and once a day by cable car. A huge compliment to the hard-working women who provide breakfast, room service, and look after guests in the evening with friendliness and professionalism. Special thanks also to Stephan, who organized and led the Törggel tour to the Johannsen Hof; it was a very nice experience and a wonderful evening.

We stayed at the Stephanshof during the last week of September 2025 and were very satisfied despite the inclement hiking weather. Our room was lovely with a great view of the mountains and a relatively new bathroom. The breakfast and evening menus with salad buffet were first-class and left nothing to be desired. The service was always friendly and helpful. You can hike directly from Villanders or take the bus to the Villanderer Alm. You can leave your car at home. We participated in a Törggelen evening at the Johannsenhof, which is highly recommended. We were very satisfied with the hotel and can recommend it without hesitation!

Great location with views of the Dolomites, not far from the bus stop and town center. Service at the reception was quick and reliable. The room was partially renovated, but the bathroom was very old and very small. The service in the restaurant was impersonal, and requests were rather annoying. What was absolutely not good was the wellness area: very old, with chipped and discolored tiles, and the "outdoor shower" had a dirty plastic curtain in a plastic mess. This urgently needs to be addressed.

A very beautiful location with a fantastic view of the mountains.
The staff were all very friendly and were able to give us helpful tips on the surrounding area.
The breakfast was plentiful and good, and the afternoon buffet snack was more than just a snack.
We particularly enjoyed the dinner; it's not like a typical buffet!
The spa area also appealed to us for relaxation, as did the wellness treatments.

Our stay at the Hotel Stephanshof during the Christmas season was a complete success. We had originally booked another hotel, but it was unavailable. This fortunate coincidence led us to the Stephanshof, which proved to be an excellent choice.
The warm welcome from Judith set the tone for our entire stay. She was always friendly and accommodating, which had a very positive impact on our first impression of the hotel.
The service staff, consisting of Kathi, Christine, Anastasia, Steffi, Sophie, Veronika, Elisabeth, Simone, and many others, provided excellent service at both breakfast and dinner. Their attentiveness and friendliness contributed significantly to our well-being and made our vacation unforgettable.
In addition to the visible staff, the invisible heroes of the hotel also deserve recognition. The kitchen staff, the concierge, and the room service team worked efficiently and ensured our complete well-being.
Claudia from the wellness area offered a comprehensive wellness program that allowed for additional moments of relaxation. Their expertise and dedication contributed significantly to our rest.
The hotel's owners, Matthias and Lucas Egger, were always available and helpful. They attended to special requests and promptly resolved minor issues, making our vacation even more enjoyable and safe.

Everything about our stay at Hotel StephansHof was exceptional. The rooms are beautifully updated, very comfortable, and have a walk-out terrace with sweeping views of the stunning dolomite hillsides. The breakfast and lunch spreads were abundant, fresh, and delicious. Each night dinner is served in a stunning dining room and includes 4 courses with typical Tyrolean dishes- every meal was excellent and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel publishes its own newspaper which is delivered to your breakfast table and includes preplanned outing and events coordinated by the hotel that you and your family can sign up to attend. The patio in front of the hotel is brimming with flowers and foliage and has a lovely view. There are two beautiful pools- one outdoor and one indoor, in addition to a sauna. The hotel has its own spa which we would have loved to take advantage of had we had more time! Overall, we loved our time at StephansHof and would highly recommend it!

We've been staying here every summer for several years. We've seen how the hotel has overcome many of the small "problems" of a few years ago, such as modernizing the rooms, paying greater attention to guests with food allergies, and better tracking of drinks consumed at dinner to reduce errors. These errors are promptly corrected by simply speaking to the front desk .
The staff is super friendly . It's possible that some very young waiters and waitresses don't speak very good Italian, but that happens in every hotel in South Tyrol, and this isn't the place for sociopolitics. Above all, I really appreciate that when you report a problem, they're quick and available to resolve it.
The dinner menu is varied and changes daily: there are obviously some things that are much better than others, but that happens in any restaurant.
Breakfast is truly top-notch; it's hard not to gorge on such variety and quality!
The hotel is very family-friendly, and the indoor pool is a plus for rainy days. The various saunas and Turkish baths round out the offerings we're interested in. We can't comment on additional services like massages or bike rentals, which we never used.
The hotel has a fantastic location, allowing you to reach all the main destinations in beautiful South Tyrol in just an hour or an hour and a half. Unfortunately, the noise from the Brenner motorway, even though it's so far away, does disturb the evening silence a bit, but what are we going to do about it? Anyone who stays in the Isarco Valley has this problem.
Bottom line: we've been happy to stay at this hotel for several years and hope to do so again in the future!

Special requests for an upcoming birthday were easily accommodated. The staff is extremely friendly. Their foreign language skills are also very good. The room service is also excellent.

Great hotel, we booked the Panorama Suite. And what can I say, it couldn't be more luxurious. It had its own whirlpool and sauna. The room was very spacious. The food at the hotel was also very delicious. What we didn't like so much was that you couldn't choose your dinner upon arrival.
Otherwise, there's nothing to complain about. The hotel is definitely worth another visit. :)

Not a 4star experience at all. Reception staff was great, as was Stefanie in the restaurant. Dinner very good and great wine list, but breakfast and especially afternoon snack/cake buffet lacked quality.
Hotel incl. our room somewhat outdated and in general could do with some tender loving care from management.
Location and view great, but since in town, some traffic noise and lack of outdoor space.
Option to use e-bikes was a nice touch!

This is our second time at the Stephanshof because we enjoyed it so much the first time, and it won't be our last. For us, the hotel offers everything we could wish for. The food is excellent (a few pictures attached), and the entire hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for hiking on and around the Villanderer Alm. We had a wonderful week at the StephansHof and are still raving about it! The overall package of very clean and beautiful rooms with balconies and mountain views, very friendly and attentive staff, and the fantastic food is hard to beat! Every evening there was a delicious four-course meal, and in the afternoon there was a generous selection of cakes, salads, and snacks. All needs and wishes were taken into account. An online guest page provides a nice overview of bills, activities, and culinary tips – very informative and modern! We can recommend a stay to everyone and would be happy to return in the future!
The hotel is very easily accessible for train travelers and offers a train station shuttle. There is a bus service directly in town, which can be used free of charge with the guest ticket and runs hourly to Klausen and the Villanderer Alm. This provides easy access to beautiful hiking trails, and it's easy to change buses in Klausen. However, if you want flexibility and want to reach more remote hiking trails, a car would be better. As we learned at the reception, you can also book a rental car directly on site.

We are absolutely thrilled with our stay at the Granpanorama Hotel Stephanshof.
We spent our honeymoon there and deliberately chose the Panorama Suite. This gave us our own private sauna and whirlpool, available for use 24 hours a day – pure luxury in itself, and both were operated flawlessly. The adjoining balcony with its breathtaking view was perfect for sunbathing as well as providing a peaceful retreat. The room was equally wonderful, with a spacious rain shower offering mountain views, a comfortable bed, and all the usual amenities. Our room was cleaned every morning during breakfast; the arrangements were perfect, and we always arrived refreshed and ready to enjoy a clean room with fresh towels.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's 3/4 board option. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied, as was the afternoon snack. We selected our own four-course dinner each morning. The quality and taste of the food were outstanding; it left nothing to be desired. We would like to commend the outstanding staff. We received attentive service at our table, and Judith at reception was equally friendly and helpful with all our requests. The wellness and beauty treatments offered by Susanne, which can be booked as an optional extra, provided us with much-needed relaxation and we thoroughly enjoyed them.
We would like to thank the entire Stephanshof team for one of the most wonderful vacations of our lives. We wholeheartedly recommend this oasis to everyone and will definitely be back!

What you're looking for in the Dolomites.
A family-run hotel where everything is geared towards relaxation, good local food, and breathtaking views. The varied cuisine never disappoints (3/4 board recommended), the friendly, always smiling staff, and traditional attire, are all in excellent location for visiting the Alpe di Siusi, Bressanone, and the surrounding area. If you choose this hotel, you can't go wrong!

This beautiful hotel is located not far from the main road and the Brenner Pass, and offers a wonderful atmosphere. The staff is extremely attentive and ensures a sense of culinary delight! The spa area is a bit older, but offers everything wellness lovers could need from 3 p.m. onwards. Great hiking trails are within easy reach – and in summer, the magnificent Dolomites. We consider a 3-4-day visit ideal. Have fun in Villanders!

The location is fantastic, with an incredible view of the Dolomites that will leave you speechless. The hotel has a truly welcoming atmosphere, where you immediately feel at home, thanks in part to the kindness and helpfulness of the staff.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, but without being overdone. The highlight, however, is undoubtedly the cuisine. Tasty dishes, prepared with fresh, local ingredients, further enhance your appreciation of Tyrolean culinary tradition. And let's not forget the breakfast, which is truly plentiful and varied.
The wellness area is perfect for those who want to indulge in some relaxation after a day of activities, and the shuttle to the ski slopes is extremely convenient.
In short, a hotel that knows how to make you feel good, far from the stresses of everyday life. If you're looking for a peaceful holiday with the right mix of nature, good food, and comfort, the Gran Panorama Stefanshof is an excellent choice.

I expected a truly beautiful facility, and my expectations were fully met!
The room we were given was truly lovely. Modern, mountain-style, wood-decorated. It smelled good and was welcoming.
Aesthetically and structurally, it seemed recently renovated. If not, it's certainly well-maintained.
The pool and saunas are well-maintained and accessible from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. There's a whirlpool in the pool area. The spa services, with massages and relaxation/beauty treatments, are also excellent. They're not expensive, so you should try them if you want to relax after a day on the snow.
Hiking, snowshoeing, snowshoe rental, and transportation are all included in the price! This is a huge plus, but many other facilities offer it.
The price is affordable, considering the package and the 3/4 board option.
The only flaw is the food. We tried many different recipes and dishes during our holiday, both traditional and national. All the food served was not as good as you'd expect from a facility like this! The bold flavors of Alto Adige were missing. Breakfast lacked sweets, especially traditional ones. The afternoon snack, an option included in the 3/4 menu, was really light and consisted of yesterday's food. So, no, it could be improved.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms with a sauna and bathtub. We really liked the room and felt very comfortable overall. The price-performance ratio is really great!

The GranPanorama suite features a wonderful furnished terrace, sauna, and whirlpool overlooking the Dolomites—a true spectacle! The food is excellent, and there's a lunch buffet available. The massage therapist has hands of gold. My experience dates back to February of last year, but I really wanted to leave this review because the atmosphere, the setting, and the treatment provided made us feel so good that we returned, "the three of us"!

The rooms have lovely mountain views and are very comfortable.
The hotel's spa is very good (pool, saunas, steam room), and treatments (massage, etc.) can be arranged on-site.
The food is also very good, with a very diverse menu, plenty of opportunities to sample South Tyrolean specialties, and a good wine list (at reasonable prices).
Various excursions are offered for those who wish (snowshoeing, skiing, or hiking), and the surrounding area is superb.

The Hotel Stephanshof is located in the small town of Villanders and offers beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding area. The ambiance is contemporary and appealing, with a South Tyrolean style. There's a lounge with a bar, several dining rooms, and a large spa and wellness area. The rooms are very attractively designed. Everything is very well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is plentiful and varied. Parking is available at the hotel, including several electric charging stations. Hiking and wine tastings are also offered. Highly recommended, and we'd gladly return.

The only flaw is the bathroom, which doesn't have a door if you have to go in at night; turning on the light would wake up anyone who's sleeping. The buffet was very generous with high-quality products. Dinner was good but not excellent. The meat was a little overcooked and stringy.

The room with a mountain view from the balcony was cleaned daily. The service was exceptional; the staff were always willing to listen, and requests were always fulfilled immediately.
The location, with its panoramic view of the Dolomites, was outstanding. The drive up the 10 hairpin bends every day was a pleasure.

A wonderful experience in August, exploring the area on my own. Many options for walks starting from the hotel. The shuttle service and the organization of local excursions were excellent. The Chiusa service card, which allows free use of all local transportation, was very convenient. The location is also strategic for visiting the area's attractions (Chiusa is 10 minutes away, Bressanone is 20 minutes, and Novacella is 30 minutes). The staff was very attentive and courteous. The food was magnificent. The 3/4 option, which includes an afternoon snack, was lovely, a real treat after returning from excursions. The wine list was well-structured, with excellent local and international selections. I didn't use the wellness area. It's a must-try!

The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the Villandro Valley and the surrounding areas. The property is equipped with every comfort, including a spacious and clean room, a top-notch relaxation area with saunas, a whirlpool, and two pools, one indoor and one outdoor in the beautiful garden. The hotel's exterior features a Tyrolean style, with its corner tower dominated by Santo Stefano. Inside, several areas have been beautifully renovated recently (some rooms and even the dining area and bar).
The well-kept and relaxing garden area features an outdoor pool.
The spa area needs to be redesigned over time, as it's a bit dated in style, although it offers all the requisites of a wellness center (three saunas, a Turkish bath, Kneading pool, indoor hot tub, relaxation areas, an indoor pool, herbal tea corner, and a massage center).
The room is clean and comfortable.
Breakfast, 3/4 board, and dinner offer a wide variety of dishes.
Excellent location for visiting the Valley and surrounding areas. Guided excursions are available.

Phenomenal location! Friendly and helpful service, high-quality, new (extremely quiet!) rooms (although some are not wheelchair accessible and without air conditioning). Parking is available around the hotel, but there's no underground parking. Great restaurant terrace, a varied half-board menu. Wi-Fi is available throughout.
We slept with the door open and the curtains drawn at night, even during peak travel times with the Brenner motorway in sight in the valley. Our whirlpool on the roof terrace was inaudibly quiet in the room, and the private sauna was spacious and heated quickly.
The shopping options at the supermarket just around the corner are also great. Thank you for your hospitality!

For adults it is excellent, but small children can lose patience.

The short story, this is a wonderful hotel, with friendly staff and an excellent location close to some of the most popular Dolomite sights. The longer story, the hotel is not in a valley like Ortisei which means you’ll be driving up and down a windy road, however, the views are exceptional. The room we stayed in was modern and comfortable with plenty of storage for our hiking gear. We paid for an incredible breakfast buffet and couldn’t imagine starting the day without it. In the evening they have a set menu dinner starting at 7 PM (sort of like a cruise ship) serving delicious local cuisine made with local ingredients. We only dined there one night because of our hiking schedule but would have otherwise. Even though the hotel is in Italy, the regional language is German. We were one of the few English speakers, so don’t expect lots of conversation with the other guests. However, we found everyone friendly. The staff fully accommodated us speaking perfect English. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful with plenty of room for kids to play. Ther are two pools, one indoors with an adjacent hot tub and an outdoor pool. We didn’t use it but the spa would be a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. We stayed five nights at the hotel. After driving around other areas in the Dolomite, we were very happy with our choice and would choose to return when revisiting this beautiful part of Italy.

The hotel treated us to a small afternoon buffet and a fantastic four-course dinner in the evening. The breakfast buffet also offered everything you need to start the day. Three stars because it only has three points in its favor. We stayed here for three nights. We had the tower suite, the room was always spotless, and towels were changed whenever requested. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were varied and plentiful. And the third point goes to Claudia, the masseuse at the wellness center, who was excellent and professional. Having said the positives, I now have to mention the negatives. I booked a 3/4 board package that included breakfast, afternoon snacks, and dinner, but despite speaking to reception several times, no one informed me (it was stated in my accepted proposal) that drinks were not included. Obviously, I don't mean wine or anything else, but at least water, since a 0.70 bottle of purifier costs €4.80. A few days before my arrival, they emailed me a survey, mainly about my preferences regarding the spa and their pre-booked packages, but... When we arrived, we discovered that we couldn't choose dinner for the first evening because there was no option for us to choose in advance... So, you can email me in advance for the paid packages, but not for the first dinner? I discovered this because when we arrived, there was a menu with a few options on the table, and when we asked how the selection worked, I was told that that menu wasn't ours and that there was no choice on the first evening. Regarding dinner, it must be said that the only good things we ate, besides the salads from the buffet (which, despite being the same ones over and over again, were at least edible), were the multivitamin juices or smoothies they offer as a second choice in soups. Regardless of one's tastes, I believe that, being in Italy, at least traditional dishes should be honored. However, we have sadly learned in recent days that everything Italian is sadly snubbed, starting with the fact that the staff asked us on several occasions if we could speak German with them. Amatriciana without pancetta and broken spaghetti, as well as the fact that our suite didn't have a bidet, even though it was in the description. When I asked at reception why it wasn't stated in the offer that drinks weren't included, I was told, "Everyone does that here." So, I'd like to point out that if I come here on holiday, it's because I'm not a local. Furthermore, the laws are the same throughout Italy, but unfortunately, we felt as if we weren't in Italy and even a bit discriminated against given the attitude the staff had towards German guests compared to us and other Italians. I think a 4-star hotel should offer a different dinner menu because the options aren't exactly up to par. The strudel isn't made with shortcrust pastry, but in this hotel it is.
I conclude by saying that paying more than €240 a night, plus drinks at absurd prices for no valid reason, given that there's a small bar 100 meters above the hotel that serves the same drinks at half the price, is unfair and unprofessional, and in my opinion, you've truly fallen short of style. I'm sorry, but we won't be returning.

The food is excellent and varied, with constantly changing and sophisticated menus and a wide selection of local wines. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.
The hotel makes up for its location, which isn't exactly close to the ski lifts and attractions, with an excellent free shuttle system and organized excursions, as well as providing excellent tips for exploring on your own.
If I may offer a small suggestion, I would suggest some entertainment for guests after dinner.

Starting with the hospitality and professionalism of the owners, who were available at all times and always had a smile! As were everyone who worked there!
The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and offer panoramic views of the Dolomites! Furthermore, the Panorama Suite has a balcony with a jacuzzi and sauna, a perfect way to relax as the sun sets behind the mountains!
The hotel is meticulously maintained! We found the "morning mail," delivered at every breakfast, very interesting, with suggestions for excursions and much more!
The location is perfect for trekking and mountain walks. All the most beautiful destinations can be reached in just a few minutes by shuttle! And in the afternoon, you can enjoy the wellness area!
And finally, the cuisine is delicious and varied, a true pleasure for the palate!

We relied on my gut feeling and the website when booking the hotel, and my gut feeling was right. As I already mentioned in a conversation with Mr. Eggert, I was very spoiled when it came to the comfort of a ****-star hotel, having vacationed elsewhere for decades. I can say that all criteria were at least the same as my old hotel, and in many ways even exceeded. Very nice, large rooms, extremely clean, and equipped with the little things that were important to me, such as a banal shoehorn (missing in many hotels). They are currently modernizing the rooms here, which certainly has nothing to do with the interior design, but rather with the changed room layout. The food, from an absolutely extensive breakfast buffet, which leaves nothing to be desired, to a small afternoon buffet, and finally to the excellent dinner, was simply fantastic. If I have one small complaint, it is that the scrambled eggs, which are served in a warming container, are often almost cold. I think fresh scrambled or fried eggs would be an even better solution here. The spa area with saunas and a swimming pool, offering massages and beauty treatments, was top-notch. I particularly appreciated the warmth and helpfulness, from both owners to the very attentive and friendly service staff. All in all, a perfectly rounded short Christmas break. Another thing about the location: the view over the Eisach Valley to the Schlern opposite is fantastic for nature lovers, but you do have to bear the drive up to the hotel.
The price-performance ratio was also very good for the services offered (only the prices for dogs were a bit too high in my opinion).
We will definitely be back and would like to thank you for a wonderful Christmas break.

The option I was hoping for, to have fried or scrambled eggs prepared directly from the pan, has now been implemented, so I'd even give it 10 out of 10 points plus a star.

We've been treating ourselves to a few nights in Alto Adige for the first few days of January for eight years now, relaxing in the early days. For the first time, we decided to return to the same location, but with a different hotel (Villandro is a wonderful destination for those who don't ski but want to enjoy hiking and relaxation). Inspired by the panoramic suite, we decided to spend three nights here.
Upon our arrival, a young lady (who to call kind and helpful is an understatement) escorted us to our room. Wow! It was wonderful! Spectacular views, enormous spaces, cleanliness, and a fantastic panorama! Believe me, it makes you want to spend the whole day there... without leaving!
Taking a sauna and soaking in the 37-degree hot tub in your privacy is a unique experience.
Breakfast in the morning is very varied; I don't understand those who complain about the lack of sweets... There's something for everyone. The afternoon buffet is also varied, and despite the hotel being fully booked, I never found it crowded.
Dinner is served in the evening from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM... You choose your courses in the morning at breakfast. The room where our table was located was welcoming and warm, all wood, with a typical South Tyrolean atmosphere... the portions are generous, perhaps not as "refined" as you might find elsewhere, but there's certainly room for improvement. The staff is attentive and fast.
I can't give the spa area full marks either; it's not exactly new, but it's got everything... maybe it needs a makeover, but if you choose the suite, believe me, you won't want to go to the spa at all... One small consideration that DOESN'T depend on the hotel: stop wearing swimsuits in the sauna and trying to hide with towels! There are rules, and they're for everyone's hygiene!
The hotel as a whole is in an enviable location, close to the Villandro Alp (a popular hiking destination), a 20-minute drive to the Siusi Alp, and a 5-minute drive from Chiusa, which is worth a visit.
The staff is always helpful and smiling, and the overall cleanliness is incredible; I've seen everything cleaned at all hours.
Last, but not least, our final bill was absolutely fair for the services and room we chose.
Consider this hotel; you won't regret it!

New Year's Eve 2023. We will always remember it thanks to the professionalism and splendid structure of this hotel.
While the location is undoubtedly sensational as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we were also lucky with the weather: it started snowing when we arrived, making the atmosphere even more special. I would also like to highlight the professionalism of the staff, from the reception to the waiters and waitresses to the cleaning ladies, who were truly attentive to the smallest detail. Staying in the panoramic suite, I also complimented the choice of furnishings: unique yet welcoming design, a terrace with a hot tub and sauna overlooking the Dolomites, truly enchanting! The 3/4 board was excellent. The wellness center with a relaxation area overlooking the garden was truly relaxing!
In the surrounding area, you can visit both the village of Villandro itself and Chiusa, typical mountain villages where the people are always smiling and courteous towards tourists. We regret not having tried the snowshoe hike organized by the hotel, but we will do so again!
The price is proportionate to the service but, above all, to the experience, which is not a given these days. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

The Stephanshof truly lives up to its name, Granpanorama. Every morning I was blown away by the view, whether from the room or the terrace. Since the weather was perfect, we were able to enjoy all our meals on the terrace. The staff in all departments are exceptionally friendly and catered to every need. After hiking, we used the wellness area, which was incredibly relaxing. In our opinion, the sauna area could use an update; it's showing its age. We will definitely recommend the Stephanshof and will certainly spend our vacation there again when we have the chance. Everything was perfect for us.

There is a selection never seen anywhere else, with a gluten-free corner for breakfast, dinner, and snacks, bread, cereals, snacks, everything. The spa is also one of the largest and most beautiful, spacious, with an outdoor pool, sun loungers, and an indoor pool, hydromassage, sauna, and everything. Finally, the guided excursions are a special mention, truly well organized and with beautiful views, thanks to all the staff!! We hope to see you again soon!! Ps. A small personal tip about the lack of air conditioning in the room. Like other friends, we really suffered from the heat at night, and not being able to open the door due to the presence of mosquitoes and bees made it very difficult to sleep. Secondly, in room 315, I would review the bathroom, considering it is a bit old-fashioned with a higher price tag. The bidet was present, but unusable as it was attached to the door, so you couldn't get in! That's all!

Last weekend we stayed at the Granpanorama Hotel StephansHof for the first time, and certainly not the last. A colleague recommended the hotel to me. It's beautifully located in the small town of Villanders, south of Bressanone. The room was nicely furnished and quiet. The windows had shutters, which I found very pleasant in the heat and also in the morning when it gets lighter. The food was excellent. From breakfast to the afternoon snack to the four-course dinner, we were completely satisfied. The service team is very friendly and really well-coordinated.

Our short break (1 week) at the Hotel StephansHof was outstanding thanks to the warm and attentive staff. The 3/4 board with a breakfast buffet that left nothing to be desired, the afternoon snack with salads, fruit, cakes, and a selection of hot dishes, and the evening menu with 4-5 courses plus a salad buffet were all fantastic. Our room with a balcony (57 sq m) and a separate bathroom and toilet was immaculately maintained, and the view was breathtaking, overlooking the Dolomites. The room has a LAN connection for laptops, and you can also access the hotel's Wi-Fi. The excursion options to the Villanderer Alm (20 minutes by bus and free with the South Tyrol Card), the Selva Val Gardena (40 minutes by car), the Seiser Alm (30 minutes by car), and a stroll through Bolzano (30 minutes by car) are excellent. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the Granpanorame Hotel StephansHof.

Our holiday expectations were exceeded at this hotel. First and foremost, we would like to highlight the exceptionally friendly staff, who attend to our guests' every need. The rooms with their views are simply unbeatable; we haven't experienced anything comparable. The furnishings and cleanliness of the rooms also leave nothing to be desired. What I found annoying at dinner on the first evening was the long wait between courses, but even then I was proven wrong, as it was incredibly relaxing and you can simply unwind. Furthermore, the food was sensational; the taste, presentation, and quality were excellent.
We also really enjoyed the clean and beautiful spa area. We enjoyed and made extensive use of the whirlpool, swimming pool, and Kneipp pool every day. The bicycle storage room is state-of-the-art and leaves nothing to be desired. From power outlets (on EVERY bike rack) to lowerable racks for heavy e-bikes, everything has been thought of here. For us, the Stephanshof is THE recommendation when it comes to holidays in South Tyrol. 10 out of 10 points.

For my parents' ruby wedding anniversary, we turned to the Egger brothers, owners of the Stephanshof, to make the day a special one. We expected a lot and had certain expectations for a 4-star hotel, but our expectations were far exceeded. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfectly organized. The caretaker even volunteered to courier us and specially fetched a cake from a distant pastry chef. All in all, I can recommend this hotel to everyone. Everything was simply delicious, including the cakes in the afternoon, etc. The guests were also very nice. Wonderful views from everywhere and well-kept rooms. The wellness area is also nice with an outdoor sauna. Flip-flops are available at reception for a few euros in case of emergency. For environmental reasons, they are no longer provided in the rooms. Another plus point! We were there the week before Easter, so the hotel and the surrounding area were pleasantly "empty." Seiser Alm (a half-hour drive away) is highly recommended!! - It's great that you can enjoy a fantastic snack at the restaurant from 2 to 5 pm with a 3/4 option.
- The buffets are always very generous and well-prepared. I recommend arriving early for breakfast, snacks, and dinner to enjoy the various buffets and the dining room.
- Breakfast included lots of fruit! Pre-cut!
- We stayed in the tower room. Warm, clean, spacious, and the bed was large and comfortable.
- Very quiet village with a church with a characteristic bell tower.
The only negatives were the bathroom and the exhaust fan, which could use some updating, but otherwise we had a really good time.
I stand by the 4.7 out of 5 stars in the reviews.

The staff was immediately helpful and helped us arrange a taxi on New Year's Eve from Bolzano train station to the hotel at a very reasonable price. The location is excellent, the staff are extremely friendly, and the food is also excellent. These three factors have helped raise my rating to 3 stars. The wellness area, which needs to be revisited and updated, is very disappointing (for me, it's a significant factor in my choice of hotels in South Tyrol). I'd like to point out:
1. The sauna and relaxation area isn't closed off, but merely separated by a saloon-style door. This means you're always in audio contact with the pool and whirlpool area, where children and teenagers run around, scream, and dive in as they deserve, preventing the isolation a true relaxation area should have.
2. The loungers are incredibly few in number (6-7 in total) unless you go to the pool area where there are more loungers (but as mentioned, it's hard to relax in a nursery).
3. The outdoor sauna is a wonderful idea and allows you to enjoy the view without the noise from outside. It's a shame that it's for three people (meaning that if we're more than three, we'd have to keep such a close social distance that people rightly avoid us, and we have to try several times to find one available) in a meadow where there could fit one for ten.
4. I'll leave a veil over the "shower" for the outdoor sauna (if the NAS sees it, they'll have it removed immediately and rub their hands together).
5. The private spa is a great idea, but it's a shame that at €160 for two hours:
a. there's no bathroom (so if you need to pee or simply shower after the sauna to complete the beneficial cycle, you'll have to go downstairs...I'm not kidding).
b. The sauna is a sarcophagus (in the sense that you can't even move, when at least it should be for two since you sell it to couples).
c. The whirlpool has 1000 functions... which don't work.
d. Privacy is absolutely denied due to the fact that the door is left open without even a "do not enter" sign (which could also allow access by guests of the spa who could accidentally enter) and a wall overlooking the corridor separated only by a thin sheet of fabric (but you can see through; a covering fabric would suffice).
e. There's no way to open windows for air because everything is sealed.
In summary, the wait staff is truly friendly, the food is good, the lunch buffet was also appreciated, and the e-bike service is available. All of this adds up to a passing grade, but if I were to limit myself to the spa area, it probably wouldn't have been.

The spa and wellness area, with its small, cool whirlpool and swimming pool, is showing its age. The outdoor pool and the plastic loungers are also showing their age.
The lunch buffet was delicious, but it was a shame that no drinks were included. The chairs in the dining area, which were disproportionate and uncomfortable, and the background music were poorly chosen.

This is our second time back. It's a must-see, surrounded by nature and flowers. In the morning and at sunset, you can see the Alpe di Siusi with the Sciliar mountain greeting you, and enjoy a magnificent breakfast in the garden. The 2:00 PM snack, upon returning from mountain excursions, is excellent, not to mention the elegant dinners, even in the garden, to the sound of the flowing fountains or the chirping of the last birds. The Tyrolean-style rooms are super comfortable and welcoming. An excellent wellness center with a garden, pools, and a soft English lawn. Last but not least, Lukas, one of the two owners, is a very kind and gentle man who knows his job well and makes you feel at home, helping you have a wonderful stay. Oh, and I almost forgot: Lukas will organize wonderful excursions for you on special trails in the surrounding valleys. But if you're looking to be pampered, dive into the spa and choose treatments with natural products just right for you.

We chose this hotel because of its location and the good reviews.
It was exactly as we imagined. The breakfast buffet was super lavish, with something for everyone. The evening menu was very varied, although it sometimes took a bit longer. The wellness area had everything you need after a day of skiing, but the noise level was very high on two days.
All in all, we were very satisfied and can only recommend the hotel.

Truly excellent. The room was well-kept, beautiful, and large, with a panoramic balcony. Excellent food, with a 3/4 board option, which includes breakfast, dinner, and a varied and plentiful buffet available from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The spa is beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped. Overall, the costs are very reasonable.

The hotel's best feature is its cleanliness – absolutely superb!
Unfortunately, the rooms are showing their age, which is evident in the windows and the heating system: there's no adjustable heating in the bathroom, making it impossible to dry towels, etc. It's also irritating that there's only one bin for the entire room. The food was good, but not outstanding, and the background music during dinner was extremely poorly chosen.
The staff is very attentive. The spa area is small but nice. I would have preferred a bit more space between the tables – a private conversation wasn't possible.

The structure and rooms of the hotel are beautiful. The staff is very kind and particularly attentive to the needs of each guest. You can see that they love their job, which makes the general atmosphere truly pleasant and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is rich and varied, as is the afternoon buffet. There are many organic and locally sourced products. Our room, the panorama suite, is enchanting, equipped with every comfort and offers a breathtaking view. Great attention also to ecology: the soaps in the bathroom are refillable, bottles and straws only in glass, SPA products certified Vegan. The cleanliness of every single space within the hotel is impeccable. We absolutely recommend a stay here, we can't wait to return!

We stayed at this property as a family during the busiest time of year, but both the spacious and very clean connecting rooms and the services offered lived up to our expectations. The hotel offers a daily hiking program,
which can be enjoyed in groups or independently. In addition to the opportunity to relax by the pool after a beautiful mountain hike or mountain bike ride, there are also free hotel bikes available for use, which is a significant benefit for a family of four.
The chef's menu was more than excellent, along with the friendly and professional staff.

This lovely hotel in Villandro is just a few kilometers from Bressanone and an hour from Brunico.
Ideal for hiking and cycling (with an e-bike), in the late afternoon you can relax in the hotel's small spa with a small indoor pool, a hot tub, and a tiny outdoor pool.
The sauna is free but requires a reservation, and a beauty salon is available upon request.
The staff is friendly but reserved; despite being in Italy, they don't speak the language very well.
The rooms are a bit dated but spacious.
The restaurant is decent; on the plus side, the morning breakfast and afternoon snack from 2 to 5 pm are truly plentiful.

The breakfast buffet is simply "enormous" for the quality and quantity of its sweet and savory selection, featuring top-notch local produce. Excellent in every way! Wonderful views, both from the room and from the terrace where we ate, overlooking the Isarco Valley and the Sciliar. The room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The spa wasn't very large, but it was well-maintained and equipped with every comfort: saunas, whirlpools, pools (one with a view), and a herbal tea area. I must say I made an excellent choice in staying at this hotel.
Starting from the location, which offers a beautiful view, to the excellent services you'll find—massages, sauna, pool. Although small, I found it comfortable, everything very well-maintained and clean. Then we moved on to the half-board option, which my husband and I chose.
The food was excellent, with impeccable service, and the owners, very kind and helpful, also made a good choice: a long brunch included in the half-board option, available from 2 to 5 pm.
The small buffet, however, offered everything from vegetables to dessert.
The breakfast was excellent, and the dinner, with two menus to choose from, was a very generous buffet. The quality/price ratio was good (drinks are all extra, but that's acceptable). I truly recommend it. I haven't found a single negative. I forgot the most important part: I stayed with my husband and our small-to-medium-sized dog, and we didn't pay any extra!

I was in South Tyrol last week at the Hotel Stephanhof. I give the hotel 5* because the welcome was very warm even though we arrived by bus. There were 42 of us. The rooms were allocated smoothly by the senior manager. The rooms were nice, big and comfortable, everything was decorated in light wood, and above all, it was very clean. I checked the bathroom and couldn't find anything to complain about. There was a make-up mirror, a good hairdryer, make-up wipes, fresh towels every day. I also give the staff full marks; they were always friendly, correct and accommodating. The tables were set with white gloves. The food, in keeping with the region, always consisted of several courses. On Saturday at the gala dinner, there were 6 served courses. Once a week there is a Tyrolean evening with live music, and much more, which is connected to Marx Reisen. The bus driver Kurt and Marx Reisen are a great team.

Unfortunately, there were no more massage appointments, which was a shame, but regardless, the spa area of the wellness hotel was not at all impressive. It was unkempt and very dated, and poorly managed. There were three different saunas, one of which was even closed and apparently only operated upon request. Unfortunately, no effort is made to familiarize guests with the sauna rules and to check them occasionally.

The spa is on the fourth floor, but I recommend booking treatments in advance. With the ¾ board option, a fantastic buffet is offered from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi didn't work during our stay, despite the reception's best efforts.

Overall, a very nice hotel. High-quality: the rooms and spa area are a bit dated. The location is definitely very nice. A slight background noise from the highway is noticeable, but not disturbing, and the view of the Dolomites is beautiful. The food is excellent, and the service is very attentive and friendly. The wine list is also very extensive and well-chosen. Surroundings: Magnificent. Good public transport connections, great hikes, from easy to difficult. Conclusion: Highly recommended. I would gladly go back.

We stayed in a large, air-conditioned room with a view of the lake. However, there was road noise when the windows were open. We would have also liked a walk-in shower, but that's because I snuck one in a few years ago and it hit my face. These are minor negatives. The parquet flooring in the room was stunning. There was also excellent Wi-Fi. The public rooms were really nice and the restaurant was uniquely appointed with large, high ceilings. Outside, the gardens were beautifully laid out with good parking. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. I'm not sure how they rate hotels in Italy, but this hotel is rated 5 stars compared to most 4-star hotels I've stayed in. Therefore, this is an outstanding value and a credit to the owner.

We stayed as a couple in January for snowshoeing. We have to thank Lucas for his excellent advice on our excursions and for his assistance. We also highlight the free equipment rental and guided excursions with a shuttle service from the hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious, and bright. The wellness area is well-organized, with an excellent outdoor sauna. The food was excellent; we enjoyed the local dishes, and the generous breakfast (eggs and bacon) was excellent. A very positive note: you don't have to pay for still water, served in a jug at the table. It's a great starting point for various destinations within a few kilometers, convenient for car travel. A truly wonderful vacation.

I spent a wonderful holiday with my family.
This hotel offers an excellent wellness facility, very welcoming rooms in typical Tyrolean style with breathtaking views of the mountains.
The cuisine is excellent, with great attention to all our personal needs (my son is vegetarian), and the staff is helpful and attentive to our every request.
It was a wonderful holiday for all four of us, we hope to repeat it soon.

My partner and I stayed at the Stephanshof in January three different years for two or three days, and I have fond memories of it.
Villandro is located in a beautiful, elevated position overlooking the valley, just a few kilometers from Ortisei and other renowned resorts.
The hotel rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, furnished in typical Tyrolean style, warm and welcoming, like the rest of the property.
The two dining rooms are very beautiful, serving an excellent, varied and plentiful breakfast. Dinner is also good, with an appetizer buffet (and the inevitable crowds!) and some à la carte dishes. The only drawback is the somewhat restrictive opening hours, as you have to be in the dining room by 7:30 PM.
There's also a lovely wellness area, open in the afternoon, with a pool, whirlpool, sauna, and Turkish bath.
A very positive note is the price, which is truly competitive...

I spent four days skiing at the Stephanshof with a group of almost 40 people. We were completely satisfied. The hotel is beautifully situated above the Eisack Valley with a fantastic view of the Schlern, which can be enjoyed from almost every room. There's a very nice wellness area and a very nice tavern/disco on site, which can be opened for larger groups upon request. The hotel goes above and beyond to accommodate its guests. Overall, everything went perfectly, and everyone was very satisfied. The bus ride to the ski resorts takes about 40-45 minutes, which is just about right.
