Two-night stay on August 15, 2025, two adults and a 1.5-year-old child.
Room 8: dated, carpeted throughout, no air conditioning, but very spacious, with a good bathroom and a large terrace.
Very good food, varied and catering to all tastes. Special requests for children can also be made.
Plenty of free parking spaces, both indoor and outdoor.
The spa area is lovely, although it could use some updating.
Excellent service.

Super nice guesthouse, friendly and cozy. The boss and the bosses have a big compliment and the staff was also super nice. I would love to come back. They also pick you up and take you to the train station. Everyone is doing their work with love.

Until now, my family and I had a strict policy of never traveling to the same place twice, let alone to the same hotel.
The team at the Vilpianerhof managed to shatter this resolution in a very short time.
From the very first moment, we felt completely at home. Our every wish was anticipated – some hotels that advertise their 5-star rating could learn more than a thing from their own.
We can fully confirm the reviews of other users who praise the food. Even our son overcame his reservations about a five-course meal on the first evening and was thrilled by the culinary delights.
I would especially like to praise the service and friendliness of the owners and all their staff – they truly made our stay a very special experience – we are already looking forward to the next one.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Vilpianerhof and can highly recommend it!
From the warm friendliness of the staff to the excellent cuisine – everything was simply perfect. The team was very helpful and accommodating, which made the stay particularly pleasant.
Another highlight was the excellent wine selection! The advice from the staff was first-class. You could feel their passion and knowledge about wine, and thanks to their recommendations, we were able to enjoy some wonderful wines.
The cuisine was simply fantastic – freshly prepared and of high quality. Every meal was a delight for the senses, and we were delighted to enjoy so many regional specialties.
The family atmosphere immediately welcomed us, and we felt like part of the family.
We can only say that we would love to come back!

We have been enjoying a few wonderful days at the Vilpianerhof for many years. Under the motto “Enjoy your Life”, guests’ every wish is met. Every guest is welcomed with such warmth that they immediately feel at home. From the rich breakfast buffet to the wonderful evening menu, no wish is left unfulfilled when it comes to dining. You can get insider tips for hikes and excursions from the innkeeper at any time. And after a strenuous day you can relax in the wellness area. For us, the Vilpianerhof is the perfect address for a relaxing holiday in the Merano area. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

A wonderful hotel with a very family atmosphere. We felt very comfortable from the start. We were particularly impressed by the food, which was of a very high standard. My girlfriend has a lot of allergies, and the team created a delicious menu every day that was perfectly tailored to her needs. This care and attention made our stay an unforgettable experience. A very nice hotel. Everyone is very friendly. The children's every wish is catered to. The food is excellent. The hotel is perfectly located between Bolzano and Merano, making everything easily accessible by bus/train. This won't be our last stay :-)

The hotel's cuisine is excellent. Very creative, versatile, very fine, with a Mediterranean touch, the sophistication of Italian cuisine is hard to miss. A feast for the palate, from the starter buffet and soup to the intermediate courses, main course and dessert. The Hitel has a xrine sauna and an indoor political table, as well as a small natural pond and Kneipp pool with a sunbathing lawn. Unfortunately there was a bit of noise from the through traffic and the train, but you could get used to it. When the weather is nice, there are countless hikes available, followed by a sauna to relax.

A beautiful hotel with a family atmosphere. Beautiful rooms, very tasty food and very nice staff. The hotel is located on a quiet street surrounded by apple orchards. We have been coming to this beautiful hotel for years and will definitely continue to do so often.

Excellent location, close to a highway with which you can reach both Bolzano and Merano in a few minutes. The owners and employees are very hospitable and kind. Excellent dinner cuisine that starts with a buffet of appetizers, 3 courses of your choice and dessert/fruit. Very varied buffet breakfast. A card is issued with which you can use public transport for free and many museums are also free. Very nice pool and spa. The common areas have been renovated, the room was a little dated and the sockets on the bed head were missing, but still a highly recommended hotel

You feel very comfortable in this hotel. The service is excellent. The pool with fitness options leaves nothing to be desired.
The food is varied; however, we weren't so satisfied with the meat selection. It wasn't what we're used to; some of it was a bit tough and overcooked. But then again, everyone has different tastes. (Hence only 4 stars instead of 5!).

Every year you meet guests who, like us, are “repeat visitors”. The atmosphere is simply great and not to forget the service is a plus! The hotel has a family character and you feel like you are in good hands! Thank you thank you thank you!

Small but nice hotel with good food and super nice staff. Very nice complex with a natural swimming pond and indoor pool. The homemade cakes and tarts are sensational. We were only there for a short time, received an extremely warm welcome and felt very comfortable.

Let me put it this way: guests are greeted very warmly by the staff or the owner himself; I've never experienced anything like it before. Special requests are gladly fulfilled. I highly recommend the half-board option, because the kitchen manages to delight guests anew every day. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. We would be delighted to be guests here again.

The hotel is outstanding. The cuisine is exquisite, and the service, as always, is very attentive and always friendly. We've stayed here more than 10 times and will definitely return. The location is very convenient, a great starting point for cyclists; everything, whether to Bolzano or Merano, is easily accessible. Very clean, cozy hotel with nice, large rooms and balconies. The daily 5-course menu is absolutely delicious, cleverly prepared with the best ingredients and a true taste experience. The breakfast buffet also leaves nothing to be desired, the service is always excellent! The lovingly run family business, its owners and their entire team are super sweet, absolutely warm ️ and we immediately felt welcome! When the weather is nice, you can have breakfast or dinner on the cozy terrace. The wellness area is beautifully laid out, with an indoor pool, whirlpool, and in the garden there is a beautifully landscaped swimming pond, a wonderful lawn and a "Kneipp" water path. A large underground car park and outdoor parking spaces are also included. There are also plenty of bikes to rent and countless excursion options! Highly recommended!

Charming family run hotel. Loving treatment of the guests, no wish that can be fulfilled remains unfulfilled. Kitchen stars ️ suspicious, price/performance ratio very consistent. The best hotel in South Tyrol. The food, in particular, is fantastic...it's almost like a Michelin-starred restaurant...the owners are incredibly friendly. You feel like you're part of a big family...I've been coming to this hotel for years and will continue to return.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Vilpianerhof between Christmas and New Year. As a guest, you are treated very warmly by the entire family. The food was delicious throughout our stay, and on New Year's Eve, we were treated to a fantastic buffet.
Even as a dog owner, I highly recommend the Vilpianerhof. The landlady is very fond of animals and always looked after our Eddie.

The foundation for a wonderful vacation is laid.
Add to that a truly clean and beautiful room and a magnificent view of the mountains. The air is wonderful, with the apple trees surrounding you occasionally wafting a fresh apple breeze. Highly recommended.
