We, a group of four people and two dogs, stayed in two Alpwell Chalets from August 30th to September 6th, 2025.
Hotel Burggräfler is a quiet hotel; everything is very well-maintained, and the grounds are beautiful.
The staff and service were all very friendly and accommodating, and the food and drinks were excellent.
Walks with the dogs in the surrounding orchards are simply wonderful.
Now for the less pleasant aspects. The town of Tisens is unfortunately a bit far from the hotel. There are very few shopping opportunities nearby. Only the adjacent campground offers a shop.
Upon arrival, our sofa bed, which we had booked separately, was not made up. This was rectified, but the large pillows that went with it were forgotten. We would also like to mention that the sofa bed came unhooked and collapsed several times during the night. As an adult man, I was unable to get a restful sleep. Several attempts were made to fix this, but without success. This couch might be suitable for children, but not for adults. After repeated and persistent inquiries, we were only given a €50 discount for the uncomfortable nights. We would have expected more consideration.
We have spent many holidays in beautiful South Tyrol and always fondly remember the warmth of the owners. Unfortunately, we missed that on this particular holiday.

This year was our first time at the Alpwell Hotel Burggräfler, the "newbies" among the many, many regular guests. If we had to describe our stay in just one word, it would be simply fantastic!
The hotel, the location, the exceptionally beautifully landscaped garden with the swimming pond, the beautiful and spacious room (Deluxe Room), the fantastic breakfast buffet that truly leaves nothing to be desired, the cuisine and evening meals in general – all of this more than exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, however, and what impressed us most, were/are the people at the hotel, who do everything possible every day to ensure that we guests have a carefree and unforgettable vacation. Whether it's the cleaning staff, chambermaids, the ladies and gentlemen in the service department, the kitchen, or, last but not least, the family itself, who runs this wonderful hotel with passion and heart and soul. The warmth and welcome as a guest can be felt in every corner of the hotel, no matter what time of day. Chapeau and a huge compliment to the entire Burggräfler team!
We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back; we're already looking forward to it.

We had a wonderful time.
The welcome and attention were top-notch; all the staff were always kind and, above all, smiling.
The rooms were well-appointed, spacious, and well-maintained.
The breakfast was top-notch, with everything you could want.
The food at the restaurant, on the two occasions we ate there, was excellent and plentiful.
The location is quiet yet strategic, allowing you to reach Merano and Bolzano in 15-20 minutes.
The lake was fabulous, and my wife used the spa, which was perfect; on rainy days, we used both the pool and the billiards room.
A holiday that will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Simply a dream, a beautifully located hotel with very nice rooms and very friendly staff, whether it's the cleaning staff, kitchen staff, service staff, or even the concierge at the reception. The hotel offers a large garden with several loungers, a small swimming lake, and a barrel sauna. The outdoor complex also includes a panoramic sauna and several chalet accommodations.
The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and the evening meal is excellent.
You feel at home here; you'll want to stay here. We'd love to come back.

An absolute dream. Anyone truly seeking peace and relaxation will be in the best hands there.
The staff is never intrusive, but attentive to guests' wishes.
As for the garden concept, you'd probably look in vain for something of comparable beauty.
The panoramic sauna and the adjacent relaxation room round out the hotel's offerings.
I'd be happy to come back.

We've been staying at the Alpwell Hotel for a week now.
After a long break, we're back for the second time.
And it won't be the last.
ALL the staff are very friendly, courteous, and helpful.
Our room is excellent.
The cleanliness throughout the hotel is particularly noteworthy.
The breakfast selection leaves nothing to be desired.
The dishes offered for dinner are all excellent.
Overall, we feel right at home.

A little paradise, so close to heaven.
I searched for a place to stay in South Tyrol for a weekend at very short notice and found it.
From the very first moment, I was pampered with warmth and care.
A superb location, a great place to start the day. Whether it's a short walk or a hike, you can start right outside the door. The South Tyrol Mobilcard also offers endless possibilities for excursions by bus or train into the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, as do the afternoon snacks and the evening menu with salad buffet; there's something for every taste.
One thing is for sure: I'll be back and stay longer.

We spent a week at this beautiful hotel after it was recommended to us by my brother-in-law. I have to say, it was absolutely right. The welcome was very warm, and the room was fantastic. Plenty of space, a very nice and large bathroom, and above all, comfortably warm. The pool is fantastic, and the sauna is truly amazing. And then the food in the restaurant was consistently delicious, as was the breakfast. And the service was extremely friendly and competent; many hotels could learn a thing or two from their work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable.

Anyone seeking peace and relaxation will be in excellent hands here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful – something you don't find everywhere these days.
The breakfast is exceptionally good, with everything your heart desires. You won't find something like that in many 4-star hotels.
The dinner is also very good, and the portions are more than sufficient.
Bolzano and Merano are easily accessible by bus; all other destinations are quickly accessible by car.

In the truest sense, we are in paradise, and the boss welcomes his guests personally!
What's there to say, the rooms leave nothing to be desired, everything is very new and extremely well maintained, and the cleanliness is endless, as if a lot of cleaning angels were going through the rooms and ordering everything back to top order every day!!! GREAT!
The breakfast buffet is second to none!, there is EVERYTHING here!, what your heart desires!, nothing is missing here, you can't name what there is!, because there is EVERYTHING!
This also refers to the restaurant menu,
Great food, always something for every taste,
very regional and seasonal, the kitchen angels always work to a very high star standard! Very high praise!
What puts everything in the shade are the service angels! In particular, the service angel at breakfast and in the evening in the restaurant deserves special mention, best service at the table, very friendly and helpful, despite the very high workload, always very friendly and always with a very sweet smile on his face!

We spent two nights in a "cozy room."
These rooms are relatively small, which is of course known beforehand, so it wasn't a problem for us at all.
The balcony is actually quite large.
It was very clean.
The grounds are very well-maintained. The swimming pond is wonderfully refreshing (not cold!), and there are plenty of loungers. The saunas are also very good.
The prices in the restaurant are on the higher end, but not too expensive.
Our meals were delicious and plentiful.
I would give the breakfast 6 out of 5 stars if I could. I've rarely seen such a wide variety. They have absolutely everything you could wish for.
I would also rate the service, both in the evening and in the morning, 6 out of 5 stars, if that were possible.
Very attentive, friendly, and competent.
All in all, I can highly recommend this accommodation.

From July 2, 2023 - July 16, 2023
The chalet, with a small garden and terrace, was nicely and functionally furnished. Functional because we expected a bit more for the price of €109 per person per day plus €18 per dog per day. The house made a very austere impression, lacking any coziness, unlike what we're used to. There wasn't a single accessory, such as a picture above the sofa or a tealight holder for the table.
The wooden corner bench in the kitchen area didn't even have a seat cushion. There were no placemats or even a small tablecloth for the dining table. According to the description, there was supposed to be a fully equipped kitchen. Since there was no outdoor grill, we would have liked to have found an oven, but unfortunately, there wasn't one either. We finally found a grill function in the microwave, which didn't even fit a large dinner plate. However, the appliance was so complicated to operate that it was impossible without an instruction manual, which the hotel management unfortunately couldn't provide us with. So we looked it up online. A better selection of glasses, an ice cube tray for the freezer, and more than four teaspoons would have been nice, too.
Furthermore, after an incident involving our dogs (urine stains on the lawn in front of the chalet), there was an extremely rude senior manager. It was our fault; we weren't paying attention! We apologized and paid compensation. We would have liked to have heard a friendlier tone from Mr. Matscher among adults, rather than a reprimand like we used to get at school.
Finally, I must mention that the hotel is very nice, including the beautiful garden and sauna.
The food was also very good every time. The staff were always friendly.

Our stay at the Hotel Burggräfler was wonderful. The welcome was very warm, the room was very spacious and clean, and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and the varied menu means you can find something new every evening.
The staff here is simply top-notch. They are incredibly friendly and accommodating, in all areas, from housekeeping to the kitchen and the service staff. We always felt comfortable and well looked after.

If that were possible here, we would have given it 4.5 stars. We really liked it; the people there are incredibly friendly, it's very quiet and relaxing, the outdoor facilities, the garden with its beach chair, swimming pond, terrace, and outdoor sauna are all very beautiful and well-maintained. We had the new chalet, a great idea! The only slight deduction is because the chalet is thinly soundproof, so it depends a bit on the neighbors! The food is good and plentiful, and the breakfast is sensational. The taste is sometimes lacking in spices, but that's a matter of taste! Another reason for the half a point deduction: although dogs are allowed under certain conditions, the website states that they are definitely not allowed in the dining room! However, this is not adhered to; dogs are the norm in the dining room, and that's something you should be aware of.

The staff at Burggräfler is commendable. The rooms correspond to a 3 star hotel. The idea of offering breakfast and eating on a menu is basically OK. The quality of the food is very good. The menu is OK, maybe add a few offerings and offer the salad buffet with a flat rate and no plate size, then the guests would choose more salad, an addition with a cheese selection would also be good. Breakfast is good, the breakfast egg wasn't always waxy, more like liquid. The wine list is very good. Ultimately we were satisfied and we would like to come back!!

We stayed at the Hotel Alpwell Burggräfler for the first time for a week at the end of May and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Everything is attractive and very clean. The entire family and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was comfortably furnished, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was large and bright.
The wellness area is perfectly adequate and just as clean as the rest of the hotel. The swimming pond and the outdoor areas are beautifully landscaped and well-maintained.
The breakfast is delicious and attractively presented.
We actually wanted to eat out in the evening, but after eating at the hotel once, we didn't want to eat anywhere else.
If you're looking for a massage, this is also the perfect place.
For us, it was a lovely holiday and there was absolutely nothing to complain about.

We vacationed at the Hotel Burggräfler and booked one of the new chalets. These small houses were newly built in 2020. Very well thought out, everything lovingly decorated, and the furnishings are of excellent quality. Each chalet has a wonderful terrace with a large garden. Chairs, a table, lounge chairs, and even a large sunbed for your own garden made the vacation perfect. Breakfast and dinner were available at the hotel, as were all the other hotel services. Simply ideal.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Tisens. This, too, was perfect. Very quiet and idyllic, yet only a 20-minute drive from Merano and Bolzano. Many hikes can be started directly from the hotel.
The breakfast was very plentiful, and the evening menu was well-stocked. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The entire hotel is guest-oriented and caters to its guests' needs. We will definitely be back!

The chalet is equipped with every comfort, is elegant, warm, and welcoming, and is located amidst apple orchards in a strategic position for reaching Lana, Merano, and Merano 2000. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

We've stayed with the Matscher family at the Alpwell three times now and have always had a very positive experience.
Plenty of peace and quiet, no unnecessary hustle and bustle. All of this really helps you relax.
Their interactions with guests are respectful, and you can't help but feel at home. The staff is very attentive and unobtrusive, and the owners are always approachable and down-to-earth. You feel valued as a guest, and they do everything they can to ensure you want for nothing. Beautiful rooms, a very good breakfast, and the evening menu also offers delicious dishes.
The value for money is definitely customer-oriented. Hospitality is very important... Keep up the good work.

The hotel is idyllically located on the edge of the village. We received a very friendly welcome and check-in was very quick because we sent the information by email. The senior boss assigned us the room and unloaded all the luggage from the car with us and brought everything into the room. He then showed us the most important places in the hotel area, the very spacious dining room with bar, the wellness area with indoor pool, steam room, sauna, Kneipp corner, relaxation room and the fitness room. The highlight is the outdoor area with the wonderful garden and the lue meadows and swimming pond and an outdoor sauna and enough loungers. For the little ones there are also animals such as sheep, rabbits and small chickens. There is also a large lobby inside in the evening where you can have a drink. The food is also very good, you can eat small or large dishes here.
Another highlight is the great breakfast, it has everything from warm egg dishes to different types of bread. A huge selection of sausages and cheeses and everything you need for a good muesli with lots of fruit is simply brilliant. The innkeepers are also very accommodating with special requests.
We would like to thank the whole family and its very friendly and super helpful staff for the lovely stay.

A stunningly beautiful hotel complex, with exceptionally kind and attentive owners and staff. We've been coming to this wonderful place for 16 years. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. In the evening, the owner himself cooks, offering seasonal asparagus and chanterelle dishes. Delicious! A well-stocked wine list and the best Venetian ever! Highly recommended: the various massage techniques and facials offered by the owner's wife. What more could you ask for?!

The hotel is very idyllic. A wonderful garden with a swimming pond and barrel sauna. A pleasant wellness area with generous opening hours (3-9 p.m.). A very fine breakfast buffet. Fair prices for dinner and drinks. It's located on a high plateau, making it a bit remote for cycling. Unless you're a climber...

We've been going to the Hotel Burggräfler for many years and feel very comfortable there as a family and as a couple.
Everything was perfect again this June. We felt well looked after despite the coronavirus pandemic.
Face masks and disposable gloves are worn at the buffet, and sufficient social distancing is guaranteed at all times.
We're already looking forward to enjoying the down-to-earth, fresh cuisine on the wonderful terrace again.

We've been coming here twice a year for several years. The hotel is family-run, and everyone does their best to fulfill every guest's every need. It's very clean, and the food is excellent. Anyone looking for absolute peace and relaxation can find it here.

Our favorite place. We've been coming here for years. The house thrives on its inimitable location at the end of a small. Street and right next to the forest. Peace and quiet guaranteed. The gardens are second to none. Everything is lovingly thought out and cared for. Some 5* hotels don't have breakfast. Here you will be looked after with love and family. The pond in the garden is perfect for swimming after beautiful hikes. We don't miss anything here and we love this place.

An ideal hotel for a week of hiking. The furnishings and design are very carefully chosen, and the rooms are fully equipped. The staff is pleasantly friendly. Very delicious food, and if you look at the pictures on the website, you'll get a (small) impression of just how generous the breakfast is.

A beautiful, cozy hotel. It was our first time at the Burggräfler and we highly recommend it.
The food is excellent (large portions!), and the staff is very friendly. They anticipate your every need. We had the cozy room, which was small but perfectly adequate for a short trip to sunbathe and swim. The outdoor area is perfect for relaxing.
We'd love to come back!

We have been visiting the Hotel Burggräfler for many years. It is an ideal starting point for our hikes.
It is located in the middle of apple orchards at the end of a cul-de-sac in a truly quiet location.
Every year, certain areas of the family hotel are lovingly modernized or expanded.
This hotel is highly recommended for those seeking peace and relaxation.
