The Seeleiten Lake Spa Hotel inspired us. We felt incredibly comfortable there: The Alpine-Mediterranean architecture blends harmoniously into the surrounding vineyards. The interior is equally stylish, aesthetically pleasing, and cozy. Functionally, everything is provided, from the gym and various swimming pools to the spa and beauty area. Everything feels very professional and well-coordinated, yet relaxed and inviting. In my opinion, anyone looking for the epitome of South Tyrolean quality will find it here.
The rooms are spacious and modern, the food is of excellent quality, and a good mix of indulgence and mindful eating. Despite its style and taste, the hotel is also very family-friendly. There's a playground, a kids' club with childcare, and children's menus in the evening.
We found the service to be professional and very attentive. A bit more small talk or curiosity here and there would have been nice. Instead, we felt like typical customers, especially in the restaurant. However, we did have a longer conversation with the friendly junior owner, Dominic, about the region.
Overall, the Seeltein Lake Spa Hotel is simply great because it offers so much quality, has a modern feel, and is nestled in a beautiful landscape away from the classic tourist hotspots.

I spent a weekend with my boyfriend. From the start, everyone was very friendly and kind, which is not to be underestimated because I've often encountered rudeness simply because we're young. Instead, we were welcomed and treated with respect, and that's the most important thing for us. The services were all excellent, and all the staff were available to help us wherever we needed, even in the sauna. Excellent service, I recommend it. It's worth the price.

The view over the garden and the surrounding landscape was magnificent (from the 3rd floor, room with a whirlpool on the balcony).
The free rental of bikes and boats was very convenient. The loop around the lake makes for a lovely jogging route. I also took a look at the hotel's property on the other side of the lake; it has a jetty and a lawn with trees, but not much of a view.
The Rastenbach Gorge is easily accessible on foot.
It was very relaxing that pool access and a midday snack were included on the day of arrival and departure. The food was very good.
The young women at reception were incredibly friendly.
Minor drawbacks include the noise from the road between the hotel and the lake (I barely noticed it, but it might be noticeable for those sensitive to noise), and the 10-minute walk to the nearest lake access point, although this isn't a problem considering the quality of the food.
And if you don't drive a Porsche, you might stand out, at least in the garage. So definitely bring a nice outfit; the desired evening dress code is "elegant," as stated in the hotel information, and most guests adhered to it. For example, a carafe of water cost €5.20, and a 0.3-liter Coke cost €5.
It's all quite luxurious, but a nice kind of luxury.
Second stay this year: with two kids in a family suite. Spacious, with a generous balcony. Not as much of a view as from the higher floors, but still lovely.
There was a problem with the indoor pool that weekend. After a bit of persistence (the child stubbornly refused to go near the "16+" sign without official permission), we were allowed to take our 12-year-old into the adults-only pool. I'm very grateful for this, as he was initially quite disappointed, but afterwards he loved the adults-only pool so much that he regretted not looking 16 and was almost sad when the indoor pool was reopened. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were fantastic; they left nothing to be desired. We could have eaten on our departure day as well, but unfortunately, we didn't have the time. However, being able to have lunch on arrival was also nice. At dinner, the kids sometimes opted for schnitzel, as it was quite fancy, and there was a lot of fish. The portions were sometimes so large that all the courses were too much. Since some people might also want large portions, it would be great if a smaller portion option was available (we ended up sharing). We used the (included) bikes again – they simply gave us more freedom of movement than just walking, even in autumn. Beautiful.
The hellish and bacon sauna infusions were really entertaining.
The reception staff were very friendly, as were the seating arrangements and service in the restaurant.

SEELEITEN was the highlight of our vacation, and every moment was perfect. It was worth every penny.
From the very beginning, the reservation experience felt personal, not like just another hotel booking. This attention to detail continued throughout our stay, from the robes provided for our whole family, including our three-year-old, to the special way our dinner table was set each night.
We were amazed by the staff's dedication, especially the reception team, bartenders, and restaurant waiters who made our dining experiences so wonderful.
The room was also spacious and impeccably clean. The thoughtful touches didn't stop there. We were so grateful for the wine gift and the complimentary lunch at checkout, which left us with a big smile on our faces.

There's absolutely no denying that the Hotel Seeleiten in Kaltern is one of the best hotels in the area. This is one of the reasons why we decided to stay here for our wedding. Some members of our wedding party also stayed there, so we booked a total of ten rooms.
After the renovation, the hotel is truly top-notch and has turned out beautifully. In some places, you can still see the charm from before the renovation, but that's easily overlooked. The rooms are all spacious, modern, and bright. The same goes for the renovated dining room. The pool area is also impressive, as is the sauna area. We used the beach area next to the lakeside resort, which is just a few minutes' walk away and offers free pedal boats, SUPs, and more.
The breakfast buffet is extensive, and the lunch buffet is great for those who want something light for lunch. There's also a hot dish that changes daily.
The service is very friendly, although they weren't quite as attentive in some places. For example, guests open their own parasols for lunch. Welcome drinks were forgotten in some rooms, and in one room, room service was completely forgotten on the same day. There's no one at the door to greet them. Staffing the 24-hour reception at night isn't ideal, as the young man unfortunately spoke neither German nor English and thus couldn't resolve the problems that arise during the night. We brought this up when checking out, and of course, they apologized.
It was very nice how one of our rooms was prepared for the bride's getting ready. We discussed it on-site, and we were offered a room in the spa as an alternative. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to plan this properly over the phone in advance, but everything went smoothly on site. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for this. We spent a wonderful long wedding weekend here.
Please note that the hotel is neither directly on the lake nor in town. However, the bus stops right outside the door. Depending on the wind direction, you can hear the street quite loudly, especially in the upstairs, front rooms.
All in all, the Seeleiten is very good. Truly a fantastic hotel. It wasn't our first stay there, and certainly won't be our last. However, the prices here are very high per night. Compared directly to other hotels in a similar price category, especially since the prices were adjusted (significantly increased) at the beginning of the year, there's still some catching up to do. This is primarily about customer service, promptness, and attentiveness. I realize that this is a very high level of complaining. But anyone who wants to compete in this league has to pay attention to such little things.

This was our first time at this hotel. It was fantastic. The garden is beautiful and offers plenty of lounging areas. The loungers are all very comfortable, and you can relax in the pool areas. The sauna infusions are also very good and highly recommended. The food was also delicious and varied. A big thank you also to the team. Their warmth and friendliness were palpable every day.

This is a beautiful hotel and the stunning natural pool was definitely a plus point for us. The lake house is also a great place to relax and with paddle boards, pedalos and bikes available for use, there's no shortage of things to do.
The family spa was also a fantastic place to unwind with the relaxing beds and indoor pool.
The rooms were amazing, spacious and of a very high quality. Everything has been thought of here.
Not to mention the food and wine, which was also outstanding. Everything freshly made and delicious!
All in all we had a lovely time here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Another very positive aspect was that all the staff, without exception, were professional and very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by the pool area. We hadn't imagined it to be so nice based on the photos online. Although the hotel was almost fully booked, we never had any trouble finding a good spot and sometimes even had the entire pool or the private beach on Lake Kaltern to ourselves. The beds also deserve special praise: incredibly comfortable, so you could relax wonderfully and get a good night's sleep.

This hotel impressed us from start to finish. A warm welcome, incredibly beautiful design and a great atmosphere that flows through the house. A great wellness area although a little undersized and spacious rooms. What is particularly noteworthy is the absolutely friendly waiters and receptionists.
The food is also great. Especially breakfast and lunch. There's still some room for improvement at dinner. But this is really criticism at the highest level. We particularly liked the free early check-in and the free lunch on the day of departure. All in all, a clear five star rating. We'd love to come back.

From the first welcome drink to the beautiful pool area to the wellness treatments and the food in the restaurant - everything is at the highest level.
The prices for rooms and wellness treatments are in the upper segment, but you also get correspondingly excellent service. The staff is incredibly attentive and practically reads your every wish.
I felt completely at home and will definitely come back!

Top quality in terms of rooms, wellness, hospitality, and cuisine. Warmth is a living experience here. The wellness area is very spacious and beautifully designed. The garden is simply a dream. Everyone will find their own place to relax, whether they're a sun worshipper or a shade lover. We've been here several times, and I'm honestly looking forward to the next time.

We stayed for four nights.
From arrival to checkout, everything was perfect.
Our stay began with a warm welcome and a delicious welcome drink.
The bartenders were highly professional, creating their drinks with elaborate preparations and custom creations, even for their guests upon request. You can feel their passion for their work.
Every evening there was a different, extensive menu. (The pasta courses are extremely good.)
Extensive wine selection, mainly Italian with a focus on South Tyrol.
Superb service.
The breakfast selection is particularly noteworthy. There's something for everyone here, in all possible variations.
The wellness area, the swimming pools, and the sauna landscape are stunning.
Huge selection of spa treatments.
Highly recommended.
Every day you have the opportunity to participate in various activities.
There's something for everyone.

Host Sara Compa and the entire team gave us a warm welcome and offered unparalleled hospitality. We had a wonderful week. I've never experienced such friendliness from the staff, whether at reception, during meals, or in room service. The breakfast selection is extensive, and I also enjoyed lunch. Only the bar menu items for those with a light appetite could be adjusted. While the burger with fries and the ham and cheese toastie are perfectly adequate, even with fries, the pasta with sauce comes with a disappointingly small handful of pasta. You shouldn't skimp on that.
We'd especially like to mention the sauna masters, Martin and Karin, who gave us a wonderful time. The infusions are fantastic, their waving technique is outstanding, and both are incredibly personable.
We did infusions with Martin (who is also a sauna master). It was simply fantastic.

However, the hotel is photographed much better on the website than it really is. It's on a street. It's quite noisy because it's full of traffic. Hotel much smaller than in the photos. We were there in August. Had 2 rooms for at least €500 per room/night. Full board included sounds tempting, but that's not entirely true. The cl. The lunch buffet basically serves up all the “old” things from the previous evening. The menu in the evening is only partially á la carte. Salad, starter and dessert are again buffet style. We had warm, wonderful summer evenings, but you have to eat inside because there is no terrace with enough seats for all guests due to lack of space. Such a thing is a shame. The hotel is old, but has been expanded or rebuilt everywhere. So in my opinion it's not worth the money. There are more classic, better 5 star hotels in South Tyrol.

A dream in green. The hotel is in a fantastic location, nestled between vineyards and the hills and mountains surrounding Lake Kaltern.
The hotel is modern and offers an outstanding spa. We stayed there for three nights at the beginning of July and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the surrounding area, of course the spa, and the hotel's excellent cuisine.
The wine shop service is particularly worth mentioning, allowing you to order wines at attractive prices (usually even cheaper than directly from the producer) and simply pick them up at the hotel on your day of departure. It's also worth mentioning that the spa is still available on your day of departure, including the lunch buffet! We will almost certainly go back!

We had an incredible time at this resort. The best part of the experience was the service - it wasn't over the top but everyone was so friendly and helpful (and spoke English on top of German and Italian).
We really liked this location about 25 min from Balzano and about an hour from major hiking spots Seceda and Seiser Alm. The design was impeccable - everything was thought out.
We did the half board, which meant all of our food was included, but the drinks are not, which makes sense as customers will want different levels of wine in this wine-focused region of the Dolomites.
They have a family spa with several saunas and a separate adults only area with indoor/outdoor pool and spa/sauna. We had several massages (all great), including the signature which starts with a scribe from the grape skins that are a byproduct of the winemaking process.
The hotel has its own small area on the lake, about a 10 min walk, with drinks, bathrooms, and pedal boards to rent.
The hotel had activities every day including group exercises, kids club (ours did the pizza making class), and nightly events like South Tyrolian appetizers and drinks on the patio and party at the lake with live music.
Would recommend to anyone who likes hikes and wine and is looking to unwind.

We're a little late in arriving, as we stayed at the hotel three months ago, but we wanted to write a review. We were there only a short time, but I have to say that everything was perfect!!! The hotel is beautiful, clean, well-kept, and the staff is kind and welcoming.

I spent four nights here with my wife, and we were disappointed. Unfortunately, this is the first hotel in South Tyrol that I can't give 5 stars. I emphasize: my review is purely subjective! I disregarded the wellness area and the many pools in my subjective review. Many others obviously enjoyed it too, and I don't want to discourage anyone from spending a vacation here.
Positives first
Large underground parking. A wide selection at the buffet. The head waiter is experienced and professional. You can tell the restaurant is a well-coordinated team. The staff, as always in South Tyrol, is super friendly. Rooms with (distant) views of the lake. Lake access for hotel guests is within walking distance. You can, for example, paddle across the lake on a SUP and then return to the hotel's grounds. There are also parking spaces, a huge lawn, loungers, even more SUPs, etc.
Children are welcome. There are many excellent hotels in South Tyrol, but many of them are "adults only." The palm trees that grow here and the climate are probably the most Mediterranean South Tyrol has to offer.
Negatives
Noisy main street. Sparrows at breakfast. This area of the lake is, to put it mildly, "a bit hectic." You can't cancel lunch, only dinner. This makes you "tempted to eat." The hotel is large, perhaps too large. I don't know exactly why, but I felt like I was on a stranded cruise ship. The typical hotel guest here isn't the active, athletic mountaineer/mountain biker, but stays at the resort all day, with perhaps a short detour to the lake on an e-bike. That's just an impression; I haven't scientifically investigated it! I ate very well here, recovered, and (unfortunately) gained weight. I'm not an athlete myself, but I try to be active on vacation. The rooms and the restaurant aren't my cup of tea in terms of taste. Subjectively, I've found all other hotel rooms in South Tyrol nicer.
I may be nitpicking at a high level. But this is South Tyrol, and competition is fierce. There are so many good hotels here that I unfortunately had to write this somewhat negative review. Don't be offended. I still recommend the hotel to anyone who simply enjoys swimming in the lake, palm trees, and warm weather on vacation. Personally, I don't like vacationing in Mallorca, but millions of others do.

On Christmas Eve, I entered the lobby and received a warm welcome from the reception team. This genuine warmth and attentiveness towards guests was evident in all the staff of this beautiful hotel. The food was simply delicious and, in my opinion, healthy, fresh, and well-balanced. From breakfast to dinner, nothing was lacking. The wine selection, including the hotel's own wines, was harmoniously blended. The spa area offered ample relaxation areas, and the guided sauna sessions were well-organized and executed. A truly beautiful hotel, and what stood out most, and something you rarely encounter, is the extremely friendly and always cheerful staff. I've never experienced a hotel where every single waiter, cleaning lady, chef, or whoever you encountered was so friendly and cheerful, which really deserves praise. It was simply incredible and very nice at this hotel! Upon check-in, you were warmly welcomed by the receptionists, who even offered you a glass of Prosecco. Everything was explained in great detail because the hotel is quite large, and you were shown around, which I found very pleasant.
Our room with a whirlpool and sauna was very large, beautiful, and super clean.
There were various wellness areas, one for adults only and one for families. Both areas were very pleasant, quiet, and great for relaxation. We also booked a massage, which was simply wonderful. There were two whirlpools, one indoors and one outdoors. Even though the hotel was fully booked, you didn't notice it in the wellness area; there was always space, and the pools were never crowded—just perfect.
The only negative point I give is the vegan evening menu; the taste could be improved a bit, but the breakfast and lunch buffets were excellent, and there were plenty of vegan options too. Very, very tasty.
Another nice thing, but less popular now in winter, is the hotel's private area by the lake. One has a sauna, and another is a relaxation area. That would be fantastic in the summer; we might consider coming back.
So, it was a wonderful stay, and the staff made it simply perfect. Highly recommended, and we'd love to come back.

Their expertise and professionalism immediately won us over.
The dinner and buffet were delicious, full of local products. All accompanied by excellent wines and their own craft beer.
The spa area was well-maintained and airy. The relaxation areas were comfortable and private.

We're so glad we stumbled upon this wellness hotel.
It was actually our first trip to the Wine Route.
We were expecting cool or rainy November weather, but it was warm and sunny, and we were able to spend plenty of time outdoors.
Now, about the hotel:
The reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We were given a lovely room overlooking the beautiful garden and the infinity pool.
Spacious, very clean, and modern.
The beds/mattresses were also excellent; we slept wonderfully.
The spa area leaves nothing to be desired. There's a new, more modern area (clothing optional) and the older area (clothing optional) in another part of the building.
Indoor pool, outdoor pool, natural swimming pond, various saunas, steam room, numerous relaxation areas – everything you could wish for.
The highlight of the evening is, of course, dinner.
The ambiance in the restaurant is very sophisticated. The staff are impeccably trained!
Each course offers at least two choices when served, and sometimes a huge selection is available buffet-style.
The food and wines are all sensationally good.
The prices at this 5-star hotel are certainly steep, but I have to say: it was worth every penny.
Overall, a highly recommended experience!

One small suggestion for improvement: the family spa area is great, but it's a bit lacking in comparison to the adults-only area (high-level criticism). A relaxed and peaceful holiday. The spacious grounds, the great bikes, and the two lakeside properties are top-notch. Everything is very well-maintained and will be maintained. The lunch bag for the trip was delicious (next time something sweet would be great). We'll definitely be back!

I would particularly like to highlight the cuisine; the dishes are excellent both in taste and appearance. The hotel is located in the middle of the vineyards. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Lake Kaltern; the hotel has its own private access to the lake.

We once again spent a wonderful holiday at Seeleiten in August. From the moment you arrive, you feel perfectly looked after, and this continued throughout our entire stay.
The entire staff at this hotel is second to none in terms of courtesy, helpfulness, and friendliness.
The outdoor facilities are a dream, topped off by the opportunity to use the Seehaus (lake house)!
The rooms are beautiful and are perfectly maintained every day.
The cuisine is fantastic, and even for our family, who unfortunately have to avoid gluten, every meal is a feast. There was a specially adapted menu every day for our gluten-suffering guests, which left nothing to be desired and was served by the extremely charming and highly professional Franz.
All in all, it was another absolutely wonderful holiday for us, and we are already looking forward to our already booked stay next year.

Brilliant location and excellent service, private lake access and amazing wellness area - the only reason I give it 4/5 stars is that if you ate vegetarian your options are very limited - breakfast is great but 3 out of 4 lunches I cud only eat potatoes as the pasta and bbq was meat only and there was no vegetarian option at all, the dinner had vegetarian options but you could tell the chef was focusing on mean dishes as the food was rather flavourless and nothing I would ever order again- the atmosphere and service made up for it so it was OK but for the price you could expect great vegetarian food.

We have already vacationed in many 5 star hotels. The Seeleiten was by far the best hotel. There are virtually no wishes left unfulfilled. Everything is thought of, simply indescribable. All employees are always nice and helpful. The breakfast/food is sensational, and the bar in the evenings with live music is always very nice.
Anyone who has something to complain about here should stay at home.

We visited SEELEITEN hotel for 5 nights... The hotel was very nice and the staff extremely friendly. The location in between the vineyards and around 10min walk from the lake just perfect. The reason why I'm not giving it a 5 out of 5 is not only the price... Even with the fullboard which includes breakfast, lunch and a 5 course dinner the price of over €600 per night (2 people) is too much for what it is, especially since every activity (e. g. Bike rental, stand up paddling) and all drinks are charged separately. Might be caused by the fact that we booked through booking com and would have been cheaper directly with the hotel.

The infinity pool is for those over 16, and unfortunately, there were also families at the pool (which was disruptive)! The Seeleiten team asked the people concerned to leave the pool area (in a friendly but firm manner)! The food was delicious and tasty, but unfortunately not as light and Mediterranean as it was under the old chef. We had a great time and enjoyed our time. We have been vacationing there for 20 years and always look forward to our time away in Seeleiten.
We also really liked the new Moser generation, who are all working hard and maintaining the family tradition.

There are two spas available: one for families with an indoor pool and one for adults only with an infinity pool. The Kids Club service is very nice, with a 24-hour entertainer available. The Seeleiten is located directly on the Wine Route just above Lake Kaltern, nestled in a vineyard and offering a magnificent view of the lake and the higher-lying Leuchtenburg Castle. The location is fantastic, and although the hotel is right on the main road, this is never a problem. The heart and soul of the hotel, however, are its exceptionally great staff. Many of them are young. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, without being overly formal. We would particularly like to highlight Manuela from reception, Anna, Daniel, and Franz from the catering service team, and Sara from the spa. We were there in mid-May, and although there were quite a few guests, we practically had the family spa to ourselves, which was very pleasant. I do think it's a bit of a shame, however, that the family spa doesn't open until 1 p.m., and the adults-only spa doesn't open until around 11 a.m., which I think is far too late for a wellness hotel, and both close again around 7 p.m. They could definitely be more generous, especially considering this is a 5-star hotel. The rooms, like the entire facility, were very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast offers a truly extremely large selection of diverse dishes. Unfortunately, the lunch buffet was limited to a single main course and the same starters on both days. There should at least be a choice of two or three different main courses. Dinner consisted of a five-course menu and was excellent, but I would happily forgo one course and a bit of "creativity" if the individual portions were more generous. A small loin of lamb isn't enough for me. The taste is undeniably good, but if it's gone in three forks, that's a bit too little for me. All in all, though, a highly recommended hotel!

It's only about a 7-minute drive from the hotel.
I also did a wine tasting which was great.
The entire staff at the winery and hotel were fantastic, friendly, helpful, simply perfect from A to Z.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband in March and I must say I had a truly wonderful time.
The hotel blends perfectly into its surroundings, surrounded by beautiful vineyards, and offers a truly pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
We stayed in the deluxe junior suite with a truly stunning view of the garden. The room features a truly comfortable king-size bed, and a truly surprising feature is the bathroom, which features an infrared cabin.
The room is equipped with a wealth of amenities: a mini-bar, coffee machine, safe, and many other thoughtful details that ensure a comfortable stay throughout your stay. Cleanliness and attention to detail are paramount here.
From the suite's balcony, you can admire the splendid garden, including the infinity pool, the hotel's small private lake, and Lake Caldaro in the distance.
The entire Seeleiten staff is always kind and available to answer any questions, but above all, they're quick and ready to resolve any issues.
The food is excellent, starting with breakfast, which offers a variety of options to suit all tastes; the lunch buffet is very rich and varied, while dinner offers a gourmet five-course menu preceded by a salad buffet. To finish, there's fruit or dessert, and a charming corner featuring local cheeses located in the bar area.
Regarding wines, I found a wide selection, from reds to whites, and excellent rosés.
The waiters are very helpful and well-trained, and can recommend the best pairings based on your needs and tastes.
Outside, there's a splendid, well-kept garden with palm trees and a natural, heated lake surrounded by sand, complete with loungers where you can lie down and relax while sunbathing (a real treat, in my opinion).
The wellness area is truly beautiful and well-maintained. It features various relaxation rooms, an indoor pool, and an adults-only infinity pool, where you can recharge and admire the splendid panorama, with Lake Caldaro in the distance just a short walk away. Hotel guests also have access to a small private beach and garden, where they can enjoy the stunning view and relax.
The hotel also has a fully equipped gym with cutting-edge equipment, open 24/7, so you can always get a healthy workout during your stay at Seeleiten.
A commendable feature is the excellent and fast internet connection and Wi-Fi, both in the hotel and, surprisingly, in the lakeside area, where download and upload speeds consistently exceed 200 Mbps.
Overall, I highly recommend it; it's ideal for couples and families who want to enjoy a holiday surrounded by nature without sacrificing elegance and good food.

The rooms are big and comfortable, the hotel offers two different SPA, three swimming pools (One is inside, one of outside but the water is heated and the last one is outside but its water is not heated), two rooms with warming chaise longue, a gym, a bar and a restaurant. You can also book body treatments. The hotel also offers skiing tours and other kinds of activities. You can also rent bicycles form the hotel.
The staff is really very kind and polite.

The hotel has been recently refurbished, all the facilities are new, two spas, one for families and one adults only, three beautiful swimming pools, rooms well designed and airy. The food is excellent and with plenty of choice offered. The staff is very attentive and helpful, always checking in if they could help. We had a family holiday there, we had our parents and our 9 months old daughter and they catered for all of us beautifully. They organise daily activities, they have bikes with kid seat, they have a house on the lake for water activities. We celebrated NYE there and they went over and above to organise a beautiful celebration. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Christmas at Seeleiten! For the first time, Seeleiten was open over the Christmas holidays, and we were very curious, so we booked a stay for the whole family. We weren't disappointed! The place was festively decorated everywhere, with a sea of lights in the garden and on the terrace, complete with a mulled wine stand and a fire pit. On Christmas Eve, there was a gift exchange for everyone in the bar, along with live music. The food was fantastic, as always, and all the staff were attentive and friendly.
Our first Christmas at Seeleiten was a complete success! A great tip for anyone wanting to escape the Christmas stress at home.

I was able to work with the hotel's team leaders in a workshop for a day, and also experience and enjoy this truly outstanding hotel with all its amenities for two nights.
I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and warmth of absolutely ALL the staff, which was genuine and authentic. Whether it was the laundry staff, the bar staff, or the restaurant staff, you were always greeted and given kind words.
As a solo traveler, you always have plenty of opportunity to see how the others are doing at dinner. And I can only say that everyone was treated with the same warmth and friendliness. Absolutely fantastic.
Also worth mentioning is the gorgeous outdoor pool, which I was able to enjoy in the snow and in the morning sun – all to myself :-). And of course, the delicious food and the absolutely incredible dessert buffet on Friday evening. Unfortunately, I only managed two servings....

Most things were great, as always.
But my sister-in-law and I booked two single rooms. Although the room next door was free, we were put on different floors. Furthermore, both rooms were in the furthest part of the hotel, requiring a long walk up and down some steep stairs and into the open air. It wasn't pleasant in December. In short, never again will we stay in rooms like that!

- Receipts (drink orders, etc.) do not require a signature, which is subsequently impossible to trace. This can lead to incorrect bookings, and thus drinks are listed that you did not order. (This was the case with us) -> However, after a complaint, it was corrected immediately and easily.
All in all, it's fine The price-performance ratio is very good. We therefore definitely recommend the hotel.

Our room was nice and clean, but unfortunately a bit dated. The housekeeping is excellent and very conscientious. The entire reception is fantastic. There are a few service staff members who could work on their tone. Otherwise, most are very accommodating, nice, friendly, and professional.
The area is fantastic, and Lake Kaltern is within walking distance. We were thrilled and had a wonderful week at Seeleiten.

The hotel is very beautifully located, and the hotel grounds are beautifully designed and well-maintained. There are several pools where you can cool off; if that's not enough for you, the hotel also has its own access to Lake Kaltern. However, those who prefer to warm up can do so in the saunas in the beautifully designed spa area. I can't fault the food; the selection at the breakfast buffet is more than sufficient. Perhaps a second hot dish could be offered at lunchtime, and delicious set menus are served in the evening. However, care should be taken to ensure that the buffet items are labeled. Unfortunately, this wasn't always the case, even though we pointed this out on-site. The staff is friendly and professional, but unfortunately, in our opinion, they failed to create a comfortable atmosphere; they lacked warmth and interest in the guests. I saw several service employees who made me wonder why they worked in an upscale restaurant; it certainly didn't seem to have any passion for their profession. The selection of spa treatments is adequate; we had both massages and cosmetic treatments. The cosmetic treatments were excellent, but with some of the massages, we didn't receive what was advertised. Furthermore, the same massage was performed completely differently for my husband than for me. This should be standard in a 5-star hotel. The suite didn't quite meet our expectations; the pictures on the website seemed a little off-kilter. Unfortunately, the toiletries (e.g., cotton swabs and conditioner) weren't replenished during our entire stay. Overall, we would have expected a bit more.

A dreamy, Mediterranean resort with various options for sunbathing and swimming (sandy beach by the natural swimming pond or infinity pool in the adults-only area). There's also a small, private lido with SUPs and pedal boats right on Lake Kaltern. The food is of outstanding quality, using many regional and seasonal products. A multi-course menu is served every evening, complemented by individual themed buffets. The menus prevent the constant rush to the buffet, creating a very pleasant, feel-good atmosphere at dinner. The service, with its extremely friendly and competent style, also contributes to making you feel comfortable and welcome from start to finish. The hosts are also very present and support their staff wherever needed! The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, and you have a view of Lake Kaltern from practically everywhere. This was our first time here and we were thrilled from the very first minute. Every single member of staff makes you feel important and does everything to ensure you don't lack anything. New, beautifully designed entrance, sauna, and dining area. Great choice of colors and materials. The dining area has finally lost its fish-hall feel, and you'll want to linger there for a while. The food is of a decent standard. Breakfast is buffet style, with sausage, cheese, a bit of vegetables, fruit, and sweet spreads. There are freshly prepared egg dishes in the front cooking area and waffles. My personal highlight are the juicers. Here's a dig at some of the other hotels we've visited: these ones are very quiet! Pre-cut fruit and vegetables are provided. Simply put it in the juicer and you'll have a fresh, delicious, and above all, not ice-cold juice in the morning. The wine selection includes many of our favorite regional wines. Unfortunately, at our table at least, there was no sommelier to recommend the right wine to match the ambience and food. Dear hotel team, drinking wine is a pleasure; please convey that too! Check out the sommelier at the entrance to one of the hotels. It brings a desire for wine to the table, where you sample your way through the wine cellar, and they even make money when three bottles are opened instead of one, just because you're lazy (because you just do it). So the food is okay, tasty, but nothing special. The spa area is very nicely designed. But there's only one sauna for infusions. And there's a party every hour with loud music and soon a light show. Please do that in the family sauna. The kids will love it, and they'll definitely dance along too. My idea of a spa is to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet after a certain amount of work.
Unfortunately, the old sauna area with its cozy little saunas is only accessible in swimwear. Everyone is allowed to sit in their own bathing suits and then bring them into the pools. Hmmmm. The rooms are great, comfortably furnished. With children, we had a room with a separate bedroom for the parents. The bathrooms were large. And a gigantic terrace with a whirlpool, seating, and sunbathing. This time we had room 11. Another highlight is the partially free bike rental (e-bikes cost money) and the attractively designed underground parking area. There are free charging stations for both the bikes and the car. There's childcare with dinner, which we couldn't tear our children away from. And last but not least, the outdoor area. Large, quiet, attractively designed, it invites you to linger. The outdoor pool is perfect for swimming, even in spring. Once everything from the renovations has settled, we'll try it again. In summary: A good hotel with a reasonable price. You can't go wrong.

Beautiful hotel. I can't really give a fair rating to the room. We received an upgrade to the Presidential Suite Superb, a gorgeous suite. The terrace was a bit too exposed for my liking.
Lovely pool area. The indoor area is a bit small, but it's being renovated. The outdoor area and the beach by the lake are very nice.
The food was very good. The breakfast buffet offers everything you could want. The 3/4 board option also provides plenty. Unfortunately, half an hour before closing time, only salad and hot dishes were left.
I can only praise the dinner.

Hotel Seeleiten enjoys a beautiful location nestled between vineyards and Lake Kaltern on the South Tyrolean Wine Route. The accommodation is very well-maintained and comfortable, the food is excellent, and the restaurant staff is highly skilled.
The outdoor area is perfect for relaxation, and the natural pool is a true gem! For a more tranquil and idyllic experience, the hotel's private beach with lake access awaits. Hopefully, the next stay won't be too long in coming.

My partner and I spent five indescribably wonderful days at the Hotel Seeleiten. It was our first time, but we will definitely be back. Our room was very stylishly furnished, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our requests were always met with great professionalism and courtesy. I would like to express my special thanks to the very friendly waitress from the Seehaus and to the kitchen, who surprised us every evening with a fantastic menu. We look forward to next year!

The food is excellent, and the breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations (just keep in mind that you'll have more luck with a wide selection early on than later). The staff was very, very friendly, and the private beach on Lake Kaltern was very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

We stayed there for two weeks and it was simply fantastic! A beautiful hotel. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. The grounds were really lovely and spacious. Plus, the property had a great location with access to the lake. The food was amazing; they catered to every single request. And the staff were all incredibly friendly. We had a truly enjoyable holiday and felt extremely comfortable there as a family. We'll definitely be back!

The hotel is very close to Lake Kaltern; a short walk takes you directly to the hotel's private beach, which invites you to relax, sunbathe, or enjoy some sports! I stayed here only for one night in June. I regret not staying longer. The pool is the most amazing place ever. The staff is very friendly, the food is excellent and the vineyards and area around Kaltern is wonderful. I would plan a trip back to this area just to spend a few nights at this wonderful, relaxing place.

We used a day spa voucher at this 5-star hotel. The wellness area is excellent, with several saunas and indoor and outdoor pools. The relaxation area is spacious. Considering that breakfast (excellent and varied), a light buffet lunch, and a partial massage were included, the value for money was more than good.

The grounds and interior are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is incredibly friendly.
Unfortunately, the breakfast selection isn't up to 5-star standards, and the lunch buffet is far too small, offering only pasta and two sauces. We were very disappointed with the food. Some of the rooms are also a bit dated.
