This was our third stay at Hotel Tirolensis, and we're thrilled every time. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome – the family atmosphere, the warm hospitality, and the attentive staff make every stay truly special.
Our room was new, modern, and tastefully furnished. The spa area is also wonderfully relaxing, and the entire hotel has a fantastic, welcoming ambiance. It's clear that many guests are regulars – which really says it all.
This year, we spent New Year's Eve at the Tirolensis, and the entire program, the food, and the organization were simply outstanding.
A real highlight is the comprehensive all-inclusive package, which leaves nothing to be desired – especially the wine selection, where the majority of the wines are from the region and included in the package.
We particularly remember the excursion to the hotel's own alpine pasture: an unforgettable day spent with the owner, filled with warm conversations and wonderful new acquaintances. It's precisely these personal experiences that make Hotel Tirolensis so special.

A beautifully designed resort in a pretty little village with views towards Merano and Bolzano. Excellent service, almost exclusively fantastic staff, very professional yet always with the typical South Tyrolean warmth and humor. A perfect spa area with several saunas, a steam room, and various indoor and outdoor pools. Everything is very tastefully designed. A perfect all-inclusive concept. Very varied and creative food, though some dishes could be improved in terms of taste. A wonderful selection of (included) wines and an excellent (included) selection of drinks at the bar. Very good breakfast (good coffee from the machine) and snacks. Electric car charging available at a fair price. Rooms with newly renovated bathrooms. Room ventilation could be improved. There were no coat hooks in the room and no clothes hangers in the bathroom. The constant playing of saccharine American Christmas music unfortunately becomes very tiring. After three days and 90 repetitions of "Let it Snow" and "Noel Noel Noel," you just want to run away screaming. Nevertheless, all in all, definitely a recommendation.

We had a wonderful stay at this wellness hotel in South Tyrol! The entire building has been newly renovated, and it shows in every detail – the rooms are modern, comfortable, and beautifully designed.
The spa and sauna area is a real highlight: spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxation. The bar and restaurants have also been beautifully revamped and exude a truly pleasant atmosphere. We especially loved the fireplace at the bar, which creates a wonderfully cozy ambiance to end the evening.
The food was good, and the staff were consistently helpful and welcoming. We also really enjoyed the yoga sessions on Monday evenings – a great extra for both body and mind.

But when we arrived, our expectations were exceeded. South Tyrol itself already has a magical atmosphere, but at the Hotel Tirolensis, you feel like you're in an enchanted place. This family-run hotel impresses not only with its modern design but especially with a warmth and approachability that I have rarely experienced. In the evening, there can be a "traffic jam" at the bar, meaning you wait about an hour and a half for your drinks – very annoying, but the staff make up for it with their friendliness.
Still, not so pleasant if you want a quick "nightcap" after dinner.
When it comes to food, it can also happen that if you arrive too late, the full selection is no longer available – but that was fine for us – in the spirit of sustainability.

What can I say, the place and its surroundings, the view, the apple trees, the grapes, like paradise. The pool and the wellness oasis with its fitness area are just as heavenly. You need it to work off what the kitchen has conjured up. Starting with the generous breakfast, the lunch at midday and the sensational evening menu. We enjoyed a fantastic stay. Wonderful garden with a pool! Relaxing by the pool with a drink after our hikes was perfect. The light lunch buffet was perfect for the temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. The service from the host family and staff was excellent. Dinner, including very professional wine advice, was perfect.
The only downside: the lack of air conditioning, which would have been pleasant in these temperatures. But we were aware of this when booking. I'd probably opt for the room category with air conditioning next time. All in all, it was fantastic! We would go again.

We stayed at the Tirolensis at the end of April/beginning of May and spent 10 wonderful days there. Everything about this hotel is perfect for a lovely holiday. You receive a warm welcome upon arrival. The great thing about this hotel is that it's not too big, and the whole family works there and is involved every day. From breakfast to dinner, everything was perfect, and the food was always excellent. The all-inclusive concept is particularly appealing. The spa area is absolutely perfect; it was the best we've ever experienced. The spacious, beautifully landscaped garden and the outdoor pool alone are perfect. It's a wonderful place to relax. What we especially enjoyed were the sauna infusions by the sauna master (unfortunately, we can't remember her name), which were simply amazing and the best we've ever had in a hotel. All the staff are passionate about their work and always friendly and helpful, whether it's the waitstaff, the bar team, or even the hotel owners themselves. It's a truly family-run team, which is rare to find. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Our conclusion: a lovely hotel that we would definitely recommend. We will certainly vacation there again. We stayed at the Hotel Tirolensis for three nights on business and felt completely at ease. The pool and spa area are truly fantastic – ideal for relaxing after a long day. The food was excellent, the wines delicious, and the service friendly. The owners are very warm and attentive; you immediately feel welcome.
The only minor drawback: there's no air conditioning in the room, which makes it a bit warm at night in the summer.
Nevertheless, a wonderful hotel with lots of charm – we'd love to come back!

We had a truly perfect stay at the Tirolensis. I was able to easily rebook our stay before arrival, even though we hadn't booked directly through the hotel. Upon arrival, we even received a room upgrade. The Oberrauch family is incredibly welcoming and present throughout the day, interacting with the guests. Every family member pitches in and helps with the daily operations. The all-inclusive package is fantastic. It really includes everything – you get the complete, worry-free package. The atmosphere, with its beautiful flowers and stylish decor, is also unique. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday with family and friends at the Tirolensis in September 2024, and it was simply perfect! The hotel is lovingly run with a family atmosphere, creating a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere.
The food was incredible – the 6-course menu exceeded all our expectations. Every evening, there were new surprises on the plates that delighted us all. In the party cellar, we were able to celebrate, dance, and enjoy the evening without a care in the world – we didn't lack for anything.
The service was excellent, the rooms comfortable, and the value for money was absolutely perfect. There were 18 of us, and everyone was completely satisfied. No one had any complaints – everyone was thrilled. We would definitely come back!

Great attention to detail, friendly and helpful staff. The double bed was damaged, with a nice edge, and clashed with the style of the hotel. But the staff responded by apologizing and stating they couldn't replace it. A nice gesture. The pools are crystal clear and the lawn is well-kept. By mistake, I was charged breakfast, which was declared included in the price. When I complained about the lack of transparency,
the receptionist promptly cancelled it without question.
I find this gesture both correct and elegant.
This is why my review remained at 5 stars.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a wonderful short break here and I'm absolutely thrilled. From check-in to departure, everything went smoothly, and booking a massage in advance worked perfectly.
The hotel and the complex itself are beautifully designed; you can truly relax here. The beautiful rooms (including the common areas) invite you to linger.
I enjoyed the wellness areas the most; I especially fell in love with the garden sauna. The massage was very relaxing and performed very well.
The service is particularly excellent; I've rarely experienced such competent, friendly, and attentive staff as here. You can tell that the hotel is run by a family, and this is reflected in the atmosphere.
The food and drinks perfectly rounded off my stay; you're truly pampered here. Price and quality are absolutely perfect.
Overall, I felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back!

The pool is lovely, ideal for relaxing during the day, as is the outdoor sauna. The staff is friendly, and the garden and sunbathing area are lovely. The indoor spa is small and has a Turkish bath with no lighting. I know it's being renovated soon, so that can only be a positive. Everything was very clean and tidy, but the room didn't have air conditioning, so the stay wasn't the most pleasant. They were very kind on our departure day in letting us stay in the pool after check-out time...an unexpected gesture, but much appreciated.

A very nice hotel, a truly fantastic wellness area. Delicious breakfast buffet (they would like a larger cheese selection).
The only drawback that really needs to be mentioned: since there is no air conditioning in the rooms, it gets very warm at night. It's impossible to get a good draft, as the hallway windows on the third floor, for example, couldn't be opened. We heard from many people at breakfast that they had trouble sleeping or hardly slept at all because it was simply too hot... it was also challenging for my pregnant wife.
We'd love to come back, but in the future, during cooler seasons.

We spent four nights at this fantastic hotel together with our small dog. The family with staff are great hosts from early morning to late night. They advised us where to bike on our e-bikes and what possible excursions to do. Breakfast was excellent and food & wine in the evening different in a very positive way. We really enjoyed the recommended and well described wines. It feels that every detail in the hotel is thought through. The room was a little older, had a good size and was very well refurbished on the surfaces. The beds and pillows were quite hard but that is always a matter of taste. The garden and pool area is fabulous. The bar staff serves excellent drinks at your sun beds. We also had a great relaxing massage after a full days biking. We truly enjoyed our days at Tirolensis and will absolutely come back to this fantastic family and their great staff members. Many thanks!

We spent 14 wonderful days at this hotel and were absolutely delighted. The rooms are beautiful and tastefully furnished. The culinary experience in the stylish restaurant was top-notch. We were particularly impressed by the diverse selection of regional wines and the opportunity to participate in wine tastings. The service was very attentive and, above all, unobtrusive. The warmth of the host family (who, by the way, work in all areas of the hotel) was unparalleled. It's a pleasure to end the day at the lively bar and make some lovely holiday acquaintances. The location in the picturesque castle village of Prissian allowed us to leave the car parked and start all our activities directly from the hotel. We spent some very relaxing days here. At Tirolensis, you can see and feel in every detail that a team is at work who LOVE what they do, who EXPERT in what they do, and who are especially unique in their friendliness and appreciation for their guests.
The cuisine is a dream in terms of variety, quality, and above all, the presentation of the dishes – true artists!
Our room was elegant and spacious with sophisticated furnishings and a large balcony.
Throughout the hotel, you can see the stylish "signature" of the owner in many details; she lovingly ensures that you always discover something beautiful!
Peter gave us excellent advice on wine and served us delicious drinks at the bar!
The spa area is small but perfectly formed, and we spent very relaxing hours there.

I just spent four nights at the end of the year with my partner.
I rate my stay five stars because we had a great time, so it's well deserved.
The hotel is located in a small village surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards, halfway between Bolzano and Merano, cities easily reached in twenty minutes by car. The location is convenient even for day trips through the landscapes and passes of the Dolomites.
The property is large and has been carefully maintained by the family.
The lobby, with its vaulted ceiling and reception desk, is very beautiful. The bar and restaurant are equally beautiful.
The room we stayed in was spacious, well-furnished, as if it were new, and had a large balcony. It was equipped with everything we needed. The spacious bathroom, with a bathtub, could use some updating, but I'm sure this will happen with time. The bed was very comfortable.
The recently renovated outdoor area is beautiful, with a sauna and large hot tub.
I personally only used the indoor area once.
Finally, five stars for the cleanliness and the friendly, helpful staff, starting with the family.
Peter's approach and willingness to share his knowledge of making cocktails was a great one. He does it very well, and I recommend trying it.
The family wine is excellent.
I would highly recommend this experience.

We came for the Merano Christmas markets; we didn't want to stay in Merano city center, but a little further out. This hotel is fantastic, with many amenities, including public transportation and museum passes, so we could take a 40-minute bus ride and be in Merano city center without having to drive. There are salad and dessert buffets, a heated indoor pool, a small gym, and a spa. The food is good, and the breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and spacious, the only flaw was the lack of an exhaust fan or window in the bathroom.
The hotel is very welcoming and well-kept, and in the evenings you can enjoy excellent cocktails in the bar area.
The breakfast is special, with a generous buffet.
The spa is divided into two areas: downstairs is the pool and sauna area, while outside there is another sauna with a small pool, beautiful to see in the evening.

There's a palpable sense of camaraderie throughout the entire team. The hotel is nestled among apple orchards and offers a variety of golf courses within a 45-minute drive – unfortunately, we missed our chance to play golf with the owner, but perhaps next time. The sauna and pool area offers everything you could wish for and is impeccably maintained. A welcome addition, perhaps on the path to becoming a 4.5-star hotel, would be air conditioning for the summer months. In short – we'd love to return, keep up the great work!

The service is fabulous. The food is simply great. Only the room had some unsightly damage, such as a dripping faucet or a broken chair. However, the wellness area brings everything back. Rarely have we experienced such beautiful sauna infusions. The pool on the terrace was nicely heated and was easy to enjoy even in the cold season.

We stayed at the Hotel Tirolensis with our dog and redeemed a Veepee voucher.
Very positive facts:
The staff: especially the two breakfast waitresses were excellent and made up for some of the hotel's aging flaws.
The food was very, very good, and the kitchen was always very accommodating with special requests.
Outdoor facilities: very, very nice. The pool and the garden sauna are well-maintained and clean.
The hotel was accommodating when we requested a room change because the shower was very small. They did everything possible to make this possible.
Room for improvement:
Definitely the bathrooms: they feel like they're from a time - between the 80s and 90s. The old rooms have been renovated, but unfortunately not the bathrooms. If you don't mind an old bathroom, then it's not a problem - we like things nice and new - hence the point deduction.
Like everywhere else, it's probably due to a lack of staff that the beds were made, but, for example, the vacuuming wasn't done every day.
Indoor wellness area: everything was clean, but probably due to the hotel's age, it didn't invite us to linger there—but that could also be a matter of taste.

The hotel is beautiful, very well-maintained, with excellent food, beautiful rooms, and a fabulous spa and pools. A positive experience, especially considering the value for money. The outdoor patio is also beautiful, with its heating lamps and lit brazier, a truly unique atmosphere. I also tried the massage service and it was excellent. There are some small customer service touches that could be improved, which is why I didn't give it 5*. In my room, there was a squashed insect on the wall that no one ever cleaned, even though it was clearly visible. I ran out of tissues and they never replaced them; the empty box sat there for 3 days. These are just small touches that make a difference.
In any case, it's a property I would highly recommend; we had a wonderful time! And it would be great to return.

A lovingly family-run hotel that is gradually being improved. Our room was tastefully renovated. Great attention to detail, beautiful colors, and a comfortable feel. The bathroom and windows are still "old-fashioned" and don't visually match the room. But the owners are aware of this, and they plan to gradually improve them (they can't do everything at once). But everything is very clean and well-maintained. What absolutely won us over was the kitchen; every evening there were multi-course menus featuring authentic, upscale South Tyrolean cuisine with regional ingredients: delicious and great ideas!
The wellness area has been continually expanded, including a chic outdoor sauna with a pool. There's a large outdoor pool, whose palm trees will transport you to the South. The indoor pool is well-maintained and invites you to swim laps.
What is absolutely worth mentioning is the Oberrauch family, the hosts. Everyone fulfills their role perfectly. We would especially like to highlight Peter as the bartender. A must is taking a seat at his bar and watching his spontaneous "bar show"... Whether blindfolded or juggling, it's a lot of fun to watch him.
The town of Tisens is located above Lana, has several castles and beautiful views, and with the included South Tyrol Card, you can easily take the bus to both Merano and Bolzano.
Bravo! We'll be back! If only to go to the golf course with the boss or to go on a wine tour with Peter in a chic retro convertible.

This is why this hotel attracts great guests and people. Live music and a constant sense of closeness round out the whole experience. A wonderful hotel for those seeking peace and relaxation. An outdoor pool and hot tub with numerous loungers, all equipped with umbrellas, and plenty of greenery.
Inside, you'll find the spa... a heated pool, infrared sauna, and Turkish bath, a relaxation room, and everything you need for a shower.
All stations are equipped with shower gels and shampoos for personal hygiene.
The rooms are divided into renovated and unrenovated rooms. I imagine there will be an upgrade soon for the unrenovated rooms, too...
The breakfast buffet is "out of this world," with a wide selection of everything, sweet and savory, fresh fruit and berries, and freshly squeezed juices.
In the mid-afternoon, you can enjoy a wide selection of cakes and all kinds of hot and cold drinks.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is also very welcoming in the evening for dinner.
The menu is quite varied, but everything is still very good.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to unplug, even just for the weekend.

We originally stayed at the Hotel Tirolensis for four days, but then extended our stay by one night because we enjoyed it so much.
We had a clean, comfortable room, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the location was excellent. Merano, Bolzano, and other day trips are easily accessible by car.
The service was exceptionally attentive and friendly.
Both breakfast and dinner were truly excellent.

The room was super clean and spacious. The balcony to enjoy the outdoor green scenery.
The breakfast was really splendid with a lot of varieties . And my favorite was the Sunday dinner buffet. It’s something you must experience in this hotel. And the indoor and outdoor pool and the sauna just made this place perfect and I also need to mention the hospitality of the staffs. Thanks to very nice and competent staffs our summer holiday was a bless. I can highly recommend this place to literally everyone.

The property and rooms are very nice, but as an Italian, I felt disadvantaged in favor of the German guests.
Service wasn't impeccable: the buffet (breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner appetizers) was often half-empty, desserts weren't always up to par (I sent back a panna cotta that I waited 15 minutes for and it arrived frozen), Ferragosto wasn't even organized like a normal holiday, with half the staff off, and dinner was almost entirely buffet-style.
Massage service available by reservation only, and a folk evening with a band that only spoke German (and we're in Italy!)

A very nice, family-run hotel with a great atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the dinner with its excellent wine selection and the magnificent view from our room's balcony. Even in bad weather, you won't miss anything, as the hotel has a well-equipped spa area with an indoor pool. The outdoor pool and its beautiful garden are an absolute eye-catcher and a relaxing spot (both during the day and in the evening with a drink).
We also loved the location, as it's within easy reach of both Bolzano and Merano, and there are also some beautiful hiking trails and ponds and lakes right around the hotel.

I arrived at the hotel with a group of nine motorcyclists, booking online so we'd never been before. The location is truly special, the property is immaculately maintained, with attention to every detail, and the staff is friendly. The rooms are very spacious, with elegant bathrooms featuring great attention to detail. The price is reasonable, and there are several options. We didn't manage to dine at the restaurant, but peeking through the windows, it seemed to be aligned with the property. It's a quiet place; in the morning, while I was on the balcony, I couldn't hear a fly.

The hotel is in a lovely, quiet location and has been partially renovated. However, our bathroom still had a very 1970s feel; only the mirror area had been modernized. The shower was very small with wall-mounted shower heads that were unfortunately covered in limescale and took up a lot of space. Without these, the shower would have been an acceptable size.
The mattresses were too firm for us, but that's not a major issue.
The room has been modernized.
The food is very good, but unfortunately, they only offer one side dish for all three main courses, which I find disappointing because it doesn't provide any alternatives.
Thursday's barbecue evening was excellent, with superb meat and side dishes.
One minor drawback: unfortunately, we weren't asked again if we wanted anything to drink.

We are a family with two small children. The hotel is located between Bolzano and Merano, in a quiet location close to nature. The apartment was perfect for us. The Murphy bed is super comfortable. To prevent the small baby from falling out of the bed, we placed the two mattresses directly on the floor. It was super practical. And the food at Tirolensis was amazing! The chef is the chef; he cooks with passion for all of his guests! There was a wide selection at breakfast, and the quality was superb! And the swimming pool and indoor pool are superb! And the owner family and all the staff were super nice! I highly recommend the Hotel Tirolensis!

We spent three days as a group of 12 golfers and one non-golfer ;-) at the beautiful Hotel Tirolensis and felt very comfortable in this friendly and hospitable establishment. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with perfect, very friendly service and a great ambiance. With the wide selection of typical South Tyrolean dishes, there was something for every palate. We all particularly enjoyed breakfast and the evening menu on the beautifully situated terrace.
A visit to the spa area and the attractive pool is not to be missed. It's a wonderful place to enjoy an aperitif after a round of golf.
Also worth mentioning is the excellent organization of everything related to golf (tee times, golf package), which ran smoothly. You can tell that the owner of the hotel is also a golfer! Our golf group agrees that we will definitely come back.

We spent four nights here in Prissian. The hotel is quiet, situated in the middle of an apple orchard. There's more than enough parking. Bolzano and Merano are about a 30-minute drive away.
The service was good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The wine tasting one evening was particularly interesting and informative, led by a knowledgeable local oenologist.
Since the hotel advertises itself as a "gourmet hotel," we were looking forward to the food. Unfortunately, it wasn't always what we expected from a gourmet hotel: The advertised Thai curry consisted of chicken and vegetables with soy sauce, which had nothing to do with curry. On one occasion, there was a salad buffet with cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, etc., but the dressings were missing. Only after we asked were we given balsamic vinegar and olive oil. However, the breakfast was very good and plentiful; you could even squeeze your own fresh orange juice—something I've rarely encountered before! Our room was a bit worn. However, the bathroom had recently been renovated.
All in all, we give the Genusshotel Tirolensis four stars.

Unfortunately, the bar offers only coffee in the afternoon; a small selection of cakes would certainly have been helpful. The lack of an afternoon snack, the somewhat worn but always clean rooms, and the occasionally forgetful room service (sometimes forgetting toilet paper or a towel, or not refilling the shower gel) prevented it from earning a 5-star rating. The room furnishings are a bit dated, but very clean. Nice large balcony.

A very well-maintained hotel, in line with 4-star expectations.
The food is excellent, as is the wide selection of breakfast items.
The wellness center is noteworthy, and the rooms are spacious and very clean.

We have been a member of Mondi (Metro) since 1988. We were very happy about the invitation. We didn't want to buy another week. The time from November 2nd to 6th, 2014, was very nice. The entrance hall has changed dramatically. The natural woods were painted over with a light color, which wasn't to our taste. The beds are very comfortable for sleeping, but for us, over 70, they're much too low when we get up. Our bones aren't as flexible anymore.
The beautiful tub in the bathroom isn't suitable for us. Not a problem; we go swimming in the morning, then shower beforehand. The food in the hotel was very good. It doesn't have to be so lavish for our standards.

The food (I had breakfast and dinner) deserves 5 stars.
The cleanliness was also impeccable.
The only thing I could possibly deduct is for the rather worn furniture in my room.

Bis auf die Dusche (war sehr verkalkt) ist das Hotel 1A und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war sehr gut und der Fitness und Wellnes bereich sind sehr schön. Ich kann das Hotel nur Empfehlen.
