The property is truly splendid: rooms meticulously maintained, common areas such as pools, whirlpools, and a top-notch spa. The location is a bit far from the slopes, but the transfer service is convenient and well-organized.
However, I would like to point out one aspect that I believe could be improved: the cost of water in the restaurant. A €6 bottle seems disproportionate to the actual price and risks leaving a negative impression. Personally, I would prefer to pay a little more for a suite than find myself spending such a high amount on an essential item.
In many similarly sized properties, water is included or offered at more reasonable prices, and this helps make guests feel valued. I believe a small change in this direction could improve the overall perception and further increase guest loyalty.

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at Alpenpalace. We had the most wonderful time. We received a personal guide to the hotel on our arrival and found the staff friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highlights for us seemed to revolve around food! The breakfasts were amazing, the dinners were even better and the cakes in the afternoon were wonderful. The room was very clean with an attractive view - we stayed in a suite and had two balconies and a living room! The bathroom was spotless. The indoor and outdoor pools were warm and very pleasant. We made use of the free e-bikes and, with guidance from the front desk, visited some wonderful places. Absolutely deserves five stars ️️️️️

We spent a few wonderful days at this wonderful hotel. From the reception to the service, the friendliness of all the staff, the outdoor area, and the spa area—there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Even little things like the Bulgari bath products in the bathroom were simply fantastic. The location is also unique—there are many beautiful hiking trails leading directly from the hotel to the Alm or to Sand—truly perfect. A 5-star hotel with several saunas, a massage center and spa, heated indoor and outdoor pools, free e-bike rental, a beautiful entrance hall, and spacious rooms—ours even had a separate living room, bedroom, bathroom, and toilet—a coffee machine with a few pods, three TVs, including one in the bathroom overlooking the hot tub. A five-course half-board dinner with a full buffet is a shame: the table service in the evening is poor, as the staff is untrained.
The Aurina Valley is beautiful and offers many activities: rafting, hiking, cycling, chairlifts, etc. The hotel is located in the Lutaco district of the municipality of Gais, practically escaping the chaos of the Puster Valley by turning above Brunico, climbing a bit, and you'll find yourself in perfect tranquility and relaxation.

Definitely book a massage or other treatments with Olena – it's simply amazing what she can do with her hands. An unforgettable stay for the four of us. We stayed at the Alpenpalace for a week in March and were absolutely thrilled from the start with the service, the amenities, the spa area, and especially the culinary offerings.
Starting with breakfast, there was everything you could possibly want. Every morning, fresh egg dishes, pastries, smoothies, and much more were prepared to order.
During the day, there were daily sauna infusions, guided hikes, and all sorts of other ways to relax and unwind.
All the service staff were friendly, attentive, and professional.
Dinner was also excellent. The only thing we could possibly criticize, besides the many wonderful dishes we enjoyed, was the soups, which were a bit uninspired compared to the rest of the menu.
The spa area was also superbly equipped.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.

First day: Early March, it's theoretically winter; you can see the white snow slopes between the green.
We arrive. What's the difference between 4s and 5? A welcome drink in the former is Prosecco - in the latter, warm apple juice and a warm refreshing towel... Okay, a bottle of Moët and two glasses awaits you in the room - points for Alpenpalace.
The room is beautifully designed with three TVs - including one in the bathroom. Two balconies with midday and evening sun - wonderful
Wellness area:
The fragrance concept is pleasant, but unfortunately, my nose can only detect it in the bottle; gentle background music - even by the outdoor whirlpool; top-notch lighting; the most beautiful salt steam bath so far: a circular LED sky above illuminated rock crystal (?) with body-shaped loungers - no square benches like usual. Lavender salt for exfoliation and small towels for laying underneath are also available - points for sustainability. After the infusion in the Tiroler Stuben, my circulation could have been on the podium in the sprint stage of the Giro d'Italia - fantastic
Short walk to the fresh air from the sauna - important
The garden must be incredible in spring/summer & the Ahr River is right behind the embankment. Unfortunately, the planting wasn't quite there yet, but the potential is already evident.
Gala dinner on Sunday:
Prosecco, king prawns, all sorts of hors d'oeuvres, and a fried oyster in the bar - then we're allowed to sit down for dinner. Taste is a matter of opinion, but the right wine is even more so. Highlight: Tiramisu - it has nothing to do with what I'm used to, but it was divine - I mean it. Really. With a big point. Absolutely!
Second day:
The intern at the reception has a truly warm smile. She's an asset to the hotel.
Coffee is only included with breakfast. Tea is available all day in the wellness area.
Other reviewers complain about errors/misunderstandings in the service. Yes, everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how you deal with them. I've been very satisfied with the treatment on two occasions.
Third Day:
For the first time, we're taking a "hotel tour." The hiking guide and fitness guru has been the absolute highlight so far. He looks after all his flocks on the mountain, chatting with everyone – even those who normally have a hard time with such things. Yep, we'll be back tomorrow.
The bar, yes, it's *really* well-stocked. I wasn't aware of all the different types of water they offer. I've never seen a tonic selection on this scale either.
The bartender is the fastest bartender I've ever seen.
There's a smoking room with a humidor for premium tobacco products that can be purchased.
Adjacent to the bar/entrance area are a variety of couches, where there's probably something for every taste. My favorite are the wingback chairs by the fireplace
Those were the positive aspects. The chances of receiving the remaining stars go directly to the hotel.
Regarding the comparability of the reviews: I've visited several 5&4s competitors in Germany and Austria, which is why I take the liberty of awarding the star ratings objectively.
A set and a match for 4s - also taking the price into account.

We spent a wonderful holiday here and were absolutely pleasantly surprised in every way! The location in the idyllic Ahrntal Valley is ideal for hiking and ski touring. The hotel offers a very extensive daily activity program, including guided hiking tours, cross-country skiing courses, and stretching. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the service is excellent. Room service comes twice a day, and you can order additional services (e.g., different pillows) via tablet. We were also very satisfied with our room. The spa area is tastefully decorated and not too busy, so it was always pleasant. There is a sauna infusion three times a day, and there are plenty of drinks, fruit, and snacks. The other guests seemed pleasant and sophisticated to us. And last but not least, the food was truly upscale, with an excellent breakfast selection, a pastry buffet in the afternoon, and a daily 5/7-course dinner menu.
At six months pregnant, my every wish was fulfilled, alternatives were conjured up, and great consideration was shown.
We'll definitely be back! Thank you for this wonderful week!

I spent a few days at the hotel with my sister, and we were both so impressed that we can't even put it into words. The reception was super professional and very warm, the ambiance, the rooms, the restaurant/food were incredibly delicious – every evening there was a 5-7 course menu, plus various buffets. I have to honestly admit, it was fantastically beautiful. I would have loved to stay a month. The staff are so accommodating that I've unfortunately missed this in other hotels I've stayed in over the past few months. In my opinion, Alpenpalace has the best staff in all of South Tyrol! We stayed here for 3 nights for our honeymoon and it was easily the best hotel we have ever stayed in. You can tell why it’s 5 stars immediately after you drive in.
In my opinion, this hotel is excellent value for money. Guests receive a daily program of spa treatments, meditations, guided hikes and guided mountain bike tours.
The daily breakfast and dinner were also excellent. We checked out today and already miss the food.
The hotel is also located in a great part of the valley with excellent Panasonic views of the mountains.
The staff made us feel very special for our honeymoon and we can’t thank them enough for it! I don’t think anyone will regret staying here!

Generally a nice hotel, if a bit dated in places. The hotel is probably aimed at a more "older clientele." As we were in our mid-30s, we were more of a younger clientele.
We were very annoyed by the way we were treated in the spa during a massage. However, after complaining to reception, a solution was found. However, it shouldn't have come to this in a 5-star hotel.
The food, from breakfast to the evening menu, was excellent.
The wellness area is okay. There are hardly any relaxation areas in bad weather. In spring/summer, the garden is certainly gorgeous.
What we missed compared to other hotels in this category was the warmth.
All in all, it was still a nice stay.

We spent three nights here and were about to extend our stay. It's a wonderful hotel with great attention to detail and fantastic staff! Several times a day, you receive information and attention, always addressed by name.
We were truly satisfied with the food. Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of delicious food! A separate menu was always provided, as my husband can't eat fish.
The spa area is very spacious and, above all, modern, so everyone gets their money's worth!
A special thank you to Rosen, who made the infusions a real experience, and to Karim and Alexandru, who looked after us with wonderful food every day.
The only small suggestion for improvement I would recommend is encouraging the chefs at the buffet to ask if they don't understand something. There were two minor misunderstandings here, meaning our orders didn't arrive at all or were prepared incorrectly.
We would still recommend this wonderful place at any time and are already looking forward to our next stay!

a view! Picture perfect scenery, surrounded by rolling hills and forest. The hotel is gorgeous and has the most amazing spa facilities, my favourite was the secret jacuzzi in a 'cave' at the back of the salt room where the lights changed colours. They really take care of you here, 5* service whilst remaining friendly and personal.
There's a daily programme of wellness activities and guided hikes. The grounds are very spacious and the whole atmosphere is very relaxing.

The Alpenpalace is a beautifully located hotel.
The service at the hotel is particularly noteworthy. All the staff are extremely friendly. The food at the hotel is particularly good. The breakfast is superb, and dinner is like a fine dining experience. In my experience, it's well above the standard of other 5-star hotels!
For me personally, the only thing that struck me as a bit old-fashioned was the style of the decor. You have to like that, otherwise it feels a bit like visiting your great-grandmother. On site, however, everything looks just like the photos.
The spa area is large and leaves nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, it closes at 8 p.m.
Conclusion: The hotel is really good value for money. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is excellent!
Highly recommended for a ski vacation.
Keep an eye on your personal belongings!

There's not much room to walk, but there are plenty of leisure activities available. In the room, the minibar would regularly turn on after being turned off, and then the noise would be unbearable. So every time I got up and turned off the minibar, the noise would go away.
But all in all, it was a fantastic vacation.

We stayed at the Alpen Palace for 4 days. We had great weather and it wasn't very busy. We were able to enjoy our stay to the fullest.
Positives:
The outdoor pool is really beautiful, and when the weather is good, it's a wonderful place to relax. The Tyrolean sauna was also wonderful. We were almost always alone.
The service throughout the hotel is truly excellent. You feel welcome and cared for. Your every wish is fulfilled.
The Alpen Place offers a lot in terms of cuisine. We booked half-board, and the breakfast buffet, along with the breakfast menu, left nothing to be desired.
Dinner consisted of appetizers and antipasti from the buffet. This was followed by a 5-course menu. It was also very delicious. A different chef was on site once, so it wasn't quite as good as the previous evenings.
The rooms and cleanliness were really top-notch.
The leisure activities are also very extensive, and there's something for everyone. You also receive a daily newsletter with recommendations/offers for activities or day trips.
You can rent CUBE e-bikes for free.
Cons:
There are hardly any. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience with the "manager" at the reception upon checkout. We wanted to go to the pool again before heading home because the weather was so nice, and our booking explicitly stated that we could use the spa again on the day of departure. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the reception didn't see things that way and didn't want to accommodate us. He said they no longer offer that and that he could only offer us a late checkout for €40 per person until 1:30 p.m. We didn't want that at all. We just wanted to know where we could change after checking out. He didn't respond to us at all and denied our statements three times. We found him very disrespectful, and he made us feel like we were no longer welcome unless we paid for a room.
We truly had a wonderful stay there, but unfortunately, this last impression wasn't a good one.
We did go to the spa area anyway, and it wasn't a problem at all. The ladies at the reception were very friendly and guest-oriented. So, it's a shame that the checkout went like this.
What was a bit disappointing for us was that the location looks a bit more like an Alpine idyll in the pictures. However, the hotel is located right in the valley by the road. We had a great view from our room, but there's a sawmill in front. Perhaps this should be taken into account when booking.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed it to the fullest. We would book again.

A long overdue post, as we've visited this 5-star hotel in the Ahrntal Valley several times, and our next visit is just around the corner.
The hotel is relatively small, which I personally always like.
On the one hand, I really like modern hotels, but the South Tyrolean charm just fits here (lots of wood, the typical colors of gold, green, red, and cream). One or two of the rooms will definitely get a little update. I was told on the phone that the beds have been fitted with box-spring mattresses. I slept well in the previous beds, but it will definitely be even better this time.
The ladies and gentlemen at reception are very friendly, competent, and helpful; you immediately feel welcome.
The staff is outstanding! Cesare at the bar is an institution, as are Karim and Alexandru in the service department.
The treatments in the spa are also excellent; they also offer Ayurveda, which is very important to me. The lady performing these treatments may be small and delicate, but she's a master of her craft, and I'm already looking forward to the Upanahasveda.
But the staff in every area of the hotel is friendly and attentive; you simply feel at home.
For us, wellness and culinary delights are our top priority, and both are perfect here.
There are various pools (indoor and outdoor, saltwater pool, whirlpool) and saunas (saltwater steam bath, steam bath, Tyrolean Stuben sauna, herbal sauna, and laconium), as well as relaxation rooms and a huge garden with plenty of loungers.

Overall, I can't stop raving about this. You don't feel like a guest, but like a king or queen, yet you're treated not impersonally, but very warmly.
If I could, I would give it 6 stars.

There's also an indoor pool, salt cave, and spa. The atmosphere of the Aurina Valley is magical. It's an excellent starting point for trips and excursions; the hotel rents high-performance e-bikes and organizes various activities, including walks and guided hikes. The cuisine is truly excellent, and the staff is friendly and attentive to their needs. A unique experience. We'll definitely be back. A luxury hideaway and spa resort in the Arntal Valley. A very beautiful 5-star resort. Wonderfully nestled in nature, quiet. A beautiful heated outdoor pool. A lovely garden. The indoor area, including all the saunas, is also very well-maintained and of high quality. Friendly staff everywhere, excellent cuisine, a wonderful breakfast with many egg dishes made to order. The 5-7 course evening menus are also very delicious. A good range of leisure activities and a very modern e-mountain bike are available for use. The only negatives: the rooms are hardly 5-star anymore; they are a bit worn, and the beds are not very sleepy due to the old mattresses. All in all, a wonderful stay. We would gladly come back.

We were looking for accommodation over Easter at short notice and found the Alpenpalace. It completely met our expectations. We arrived with a German Shepherd and received a friendly and courteous welcome. We had a small suite. A separate side entrance allowed us to leave the hotel with the dog in the shortest possible time. The wellness area was below our room, and we could hear the whirlpool starting up, but it wasn't a problem once you know what it is. And the wellness area closes in the evening, so your sleep isn't disturbed. The staff was super helpful and accommodating, the wellness area was top-notch, and the dinner was more than 5-star. Absolutely fantastic and very relaxing. A small fitness room would be a nice addition to ease the guilty conscience, but that's about all there is to complain about :)

My daughter and I had the most delightful stay at The Alpenpalace over Christmas. We couldn't fault a thing - from the private transfer from Innsbruck, to the stunning spa, sauna and swimming pools (inside and out!), nothing was too much trouble. Colin and all the staff were superb, as was the food and ambiance. We felt looked after, and relaxed the moment we stepped through the door. Cannot recommend enough! We will be back!

The best hotel in the Dolomites! We stayed for five days at the end of August, and it was the perfect escape from the summer heat. The welcome is always commendable, with both the waiters and concierge being extremely helpful and ready to address any guest concerns. The wellness area is quite large and offers every comfort, although I would expand the buffet with nuts and other dried fruit. Also, be careful with massages, because if you're in a room facing the corridor, you can hear noise (as I did), which somewhat ruins the experience.
As for the room, it was very clean (although the carpeting significantly detracts from the overall aesthetic), with everything you need. However, the pillow selection was limited, as they were quite soft, and there were no toppers. I would have appreciated a choice of pillow textures.
As for the restaurant, there's not much to say. The food is excellent, and in truly exorbitant quantities. :) The same goes for breakfast, which is rich and varied (though we're sorely missing plant-based drinks and yogurt).
As for the activities offered, the e-bike offer is a wonderful initiative; keep it up! The same goes for the leaflet with the next day's activities, which is very useful for exploring the mountains and the local refuges.
Overall, we'll definitely be back and recommend it to everyone...

I spent 7 nights in this beautiful place. Excellent services. Rooms are very comfortable cleaned everyday. They have this ritual of leaving goodnight personalized notes and every morning you get a day plan.
Best thing were the electric bikes the hotel put at their guests disposal. We did yoga classes in the mornings, took hiking tours, biking tours all organized by the hotel.
The pools are clean and heated while the saunas are superb with infusions activities everyday.
The food was delicious and staff was very friendly.
We are definitely coming back.
Even for a weekend escape, this place is totally worth it!

We spent four days at this hotel over Christmas. We were very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food was excellent, the breakfast buffet and dinner left nothing to be desired, combined with consistently attentive service. The spa area has a heated pool, various saunas, steam baths, etc., and the massage was also very good. From the Finnish sauna, you can step directly into the garden for a relaxing dip in the fresh air. Perfect! All guests have access to free outdoor parking, and there are plenty of them. The underground parking garage costs an additional €10 per day and has charging stations for electric cars. The ski lift is only a 5-minute ride away on the free shuttle bus. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, but overall they had a worn feel and were in need of renovation. The mattress in my room was saggy. The air conditioning didn't work. Definitely not 5 stars. The expensive all-inclusive package is not recommended: I still found approximately €200 for "consumption" on the final bill; the amount couldn't be further broken down at checkout. During my stay at this hotel, I was continually charged with costs, without advance notice, without my signature, without proof, and without any explanation. Strange.

The rooms are tidy and serviced multiple times a day. A restaurant with excellent staff (especially Mr. Karim from Egypt impressed with perfect, yet unobtrusive service! Everything was impeccable, from the moment you arrive at the reception desk with the friendly, knowledgeable, and sweet girl who can also recommend all the activities the hotel offers, to the cleanliness and attentiveness of the rooms, where they change towels even in the evening, to the girls at the spa with a super massage package.
The chef who offers you delicacies from breakfast to the last course of dinner... what more can I say? My compliments go to them; all the dishes have a new and unique flavor and you simply cannot help but try them.

Went to the Alpen Palace for valentines weekend with my husband. We were with a group and everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean, warm ( a bit warm) plus lovely ski chalet design. The food was amazing and breakfast the best! I asked for a firmer pillow and Colin (Irish) brought me three to choose from. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The only down side for me was my pedicure which was expensive and not really relaxing at all plus the therapist cut my foot and did not say anything even though I told her it was hurting. I did not want to say anything as to be honest the spa is amazing with the out-door pools and really it was a very small problem compared to a fantastic experience, service and hotel!

Very clean hotel with attention to every detail, fantastic food from a great chef! A very kind welcome from Deborah, perfect treatments (Jasmine was simply fantastic!) Great spa... only suggestion: by 12 pm when the sauna area opens, they should already be ready to use and not cold. All in all, a short but truly pleasant stay.

The hotel is definitely worth a visit. A personalized vacation away from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism is guaranteed. Very friendly staff, a great welcome after a difficult journey.
We're here for the second time and have noticed certain changes: the rooms are a bit dated, and the room service isn't as perfect as last year. Therefore, we're deducting points – we're looking forward to the planned changes next year. Nevertheless, we'd be happy to come back anytime!

A charming property in a stunning natural setting. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we spent three incredible days pampered by massages in the four heated pools (two outdoors). The excellent spa also features several saunas and a Turkish bath. The staff were extremely kind and available to answer all our questions, with a special mention for the lovely Deborah at reception. Chef Rosario is a true culinary artist, with dishes born of truly special creativity. An experience we will definitely repeat.

I left my heart there; it's the best hotel I've ever stayed in. They pamper you and make you feel special. During our stay, we chose a package that included half board and drinks. For dinner or lunch, you can also choose the à la carte menu, which changes daily. Breakfast is a generous buffet, catering to both sweet and savory tastes. The buffet is also full of fruit, especially seasonal ones, as well as fresh produce.
I hope to return soon.

I actually don't want to write a review at all, because after all, you shouldn't share such a wonderful and highly service-oriented insider tip, but rather keep it for yourself and your closest friends.
I'll make an exception, however, because of the excellent service – the hotel far exceeds my expectations for 5-star service. At this point, I'd like to highlight the entire hotel staff who make this possible – a level of service that is unparalleled!
If you have the chance to be a guest here, be sure to enjoy a good glass by the fireplace, served by perhaps the most attentive bartender I've ever encountered, and take advantage of the guided sauna infusions, which are always performed with the same dedication by the sauna master, even in small groups!

This is our first time at the Alpenpalace and I must admit that we are more than satisfied and delighted with everything.
Starting with the friendly and informative welcome upon arrival.
The suite was exceptionally clean and very spacious. Since we were allowed to bring our dog, we were very surprised that a huge dog bed, water/food bowl, and a large bag of treats were available for our four-legged friend.
The wellness area also leaves nothing to be desired, and the food, whether at the breakfast buffet or the gourmet dinner, is unbeatable. We have stayed in many 5-star luxury hotels around the world for far more money.
A magnificent ski vacation of a special kind where nothing was left to be desired. Therefore, we cannot understand in the slightest some of the negative reviews from various guests who are most likely dissatisfied and unhappy with themselves and need to take it out on others. We have no words for that.
Even on our last evening, we were personally bid farewell with a handshake, which was very warm, humane, and exceptionally strong in character.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire Alpenpalace team. You have a new regular guest. We will highly recommend you and will be back very soon!

Excellent wellness area with a large outdoor pool that's wonderfully warm and big enough for a proper swim. The whirlpool is nice and warm. The sauna is also great. And the food is also excellent. Only the service at check-in wasn't 5-star. But maybe that was just part of the package. The hotel is cozy and casual. They offer really good wines by the glass with the food, such as Lagrein as a red, Pinot Blanc with fish, or Gewürztraminer with fillet. The shuttle service to the ski areas works well and is punctual. The ski areas are small, but adequate for a weekend, even for experienced skiers.

The in-room minibar service automatically multiplies your bill without your knowledge. If you don't ask for a list of your drinks at reception, you'll end up with unused service bills.
From a 5-star hotel, this is unacceptable to me.

Aber auch der Eigentümer, der umgehend die Wünsche und Anregungen der Gäste umsetzte(hier: Bademäntel 5x und s) Die Schwimmanlagen entsprechen meinen Vorstellungen von Wohlfühlen mehr als absolut. Der Garten, ein Traum, Wellnessbereich klasse. Besonders gefallen hat mir die zuvorkommende Art Aller,bei gleichzeitiger Zurückhaltung.

A stunning hotel, tastefully furnished in Tyrolean style, with lots of wood. The indoor spa is also lovely, with a pool, whirlpool, sauna, and salt bath. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a generous selection of special jams, pastries, fresh fruit, the option of making your own smoothie, cured meats, and cheeses. Dinner is also excellent, with a buffet of appetizers and desserts. The location is enchanting, with mountain views and plenty of greenery.

The warm and welcoming service is truly professional, without seeming at all pretentious. This begins at reception and extends to the restaurant service... Special praise goes to the sommelier, who is just as skilled as the bartender. The food deserves special mention... an absolute delight for both the palate and the eyes. We stayed for five days, and each time we were treated to something special, always honest and skillful, using regional products. Here, quality is paramount, not quantity! All in all, a wonderful holiday... We would love to return anytime.

The Alpen Palace hotel is where you go to relax and forget about your busy life. It is remotely located in the Ahrntal valley and provided you with all the necessities - great spa, excellent food, quite environment and beautiful views. It is suited to couples that seek some time off, but families ware very welcomed here. We had great service from the professional staff and felt great in this nice location.

The garden and pool were top-notch.
The room was very nice (bathroom a bit too small for a 5-star hotel). Only the hairdryer was useless - better to bring your own.
What was absolutely unacceptable: our iPad was damaged by the chambermaid. I reported it to reception - the chambermaid denied it, saying it couldn't have happened that way. When I showed a photo the next day proving the opposite, it was simply ignored.
Therefore, we won't be visiting this hotel again.
I wasn't even concerned about compensation, since in such cases it's always one person's word against another's, but stubbornly claiming "it couldn't have happened that way" is a bit harsh.
