The valley of Ridnaun starts its course near Sterzing in Valle Isarco, far from the busy hustle and bustle of the main roads of the region. An insider-tip is the Seven-Lake-Tour, a tour of about seven hours. The start is the parking place of the mining museum. From here the path leads up to the alpine pastures of „Moarerbergalm“ and further till the first lakes appear. Straight ahead and the next five lakes appear and the lodge of „Grohmann“. The discovery of silver in Schneeberg is first documented in the beginning of the 13th century, about 200 years later the mining business reached its peak.
