From St. Lorenzen in Pustertal the road leads into the valley of Alta Badia all the way to Corvara. Above the commune lies Kolfuschg at the foot of the saddle of Val Gardena in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. At an altitude of 1.650 meters Kolfuschg is the highest village in Alta Badia. Here you can still find a traditional settlement of farms, which have survived centuries and now testify to the traditional wooden building style once common in the valley.
Due to its location at the national park Puez-Geisler, visitors find here numerous walking and high routes, mountain and mountainbike tours and in the winter snow sporting activities of any kind. The view over the Sella tempts many a visitor to experience a unique tour: the circuit of the Sella, the so-called Sellaronda, best mastered on skis.
