Hot Air Balloons in Toblach
At 1.250 meters height lies Toblach in Hochpustertal. Here you find the valley Höhlensteintal with the landmark of the Dolomites, the Three Peaks Drei Zinnen. If you follow the street southwards, you will pass Cortina d’Ampezzo and come to Venice. The Strada d’Alemagna was once important trade route between Venice and Augsburg and also defined the economic importance of Toblach. With the construction of the railway at the end of the 19th century Toblach became a popular holiday destination.
The village lies in the immediate vicinity of nature park Dreizinnen and Fanes-Sennes-Prags and offers a fantastic starting point for hikes, mountain tours and excursions. During summer Lake Toblach provides refreshment and the summer toboggan run on Mountain Haunold a great amount of fun, especially for kids. During winter Haunold, together with Helm in Innichen and Rotwand in Sexten, turn into wonderful tranquil ski-resorts that are reachable by train with the Ski Pustertal Express. Those who visit Toblach during January in the course of the balloon-festival might be able to reserve a flight in a hot air balloon. But even the sight of the uncountable colourful hot air balloons against the backdrop of the blue sky will be a moment cherished forever.

The wildlife park in Altschluderbach is home to deer, ibexes, boars, pheasants, eagle and snowy owls, lamas and yaks; in special cases visitors can also feed the animals.
