Closer to heaven in Gomagoi
Gomagoi is a little village in the commune of Stilfs in the national park Stilfserjoch. The centrally located village in Vinschgau lies at 1.270 meters above sea level and connects Prad, Sulden and the pass of Stilfserjoch. Due to its favourable location it offers numerous destinations and activities.
Biking on Stilfserjoch
Gomagoi offers a great starting point for numerous nature walks and bike tours. Bikers find here the legendary road leading up to pass Stilfserjoch, where every year in autumn the Bike Day is staged. This event attracts thousands of hobby and professional bikers from every part of the country. Then the whole street is shut, you won’t hear any motor-noise or honking, only silence and the pedaling and breathing of those, who master the 1.860 meters of altitude difference by bike.
Well worth a visit are the easily reachable ski resorts in Sulden and Trafoi. Here at the glaciers you can ski in winter and summer alike. Enjoy a refreshing ski-trip above pass Stilfserjoch, on the Northern side of Ortler. Visit the wild park in Gomagoi; here you might spot groundhogs in their natural territory.
