Wonderful trips promise visits to the neighbouring villages of Auer and Neumarkt, or the cities of Bozen and Meran. Bikers find the South Tyrolean cycle path near Auer, leading all the way to Salurn or Meran. The distance can be covered easily by train on the way back. Also Lake Kalterersee in Kaltern offers a popular destination for bikers.

During winter the nearby ski areas Rittner Horn and Reinswald in Sarntal are within easy reach. A few more slopes and ski-circus offers the ski-resort in Obereggen in Eggental. Then the surrounding villages and cities invite for the Christmasmarkets and offer quiet get-togethers and an atmosphere, which promises a truly holy Christmas night.
